Mana can be utilized for various purposes thru proper training. It seems that martial arts training can be used as a building block on how to learn to focus and channel magic for various purposes.
Also my studies have managed to discover a link between the concept of enlightenment to successful attempts at not only obtaining magic, but divine power as well.
It is possible for a magician to become a god. But the sheer power required for it is nigh impossible.
And while Godhood does sound appealing. I'm afraid that I alone neither have the time or ability to achieve it.
The incubators, even now are devouring our home. Someone has to stand up to them.
Kyoto report # 28: False claims
Incubators claim that they are helping other races evolve. That is a lie.
Matlab simulations have revealed that at best it would be an unstable equilibrium that could easily be shattered by internal or external factors. Or at worse that witches would reach critical mass and cause an universal mass extinction.
Once familiars reach critical mass. They would overwhelm the populace and eat them.
And proof has been found of abandoned farms where all life has been devoured.
Unfortunately we have no choice but to employ forced extermination of Puella Magi.
While I reluctantly agreed to it. My compatriots were far more bloodthirsty on the matter. Many seeing it as an excuse to secure power and satisfy long held vendettas.

Chapter 33: I am the Messiah
Jul 13 s.h. 8932, Green tower island, now at sunrise
"Open the eyes of god! Mahou driver Pandora! When the three realms collide. The ultimate god is born. I AM MESSIAH!"
As reality returns to normal and Sonic, Madoka, and Kagami recover from the barrage of memories that were implanted into their minds. Only to hear an all to familiar cackle in a completely different form. Kagemusha was now utterly transformed into a much more ornate and detailed yet still black colored full body armor. This one more akin to a Japanese shogun instead of a ninja. With a large V-fin in her head crest and green wrappings in her arms and legs. And her scarf can transform into a pair of black angel wings as its being shown at the moment.
As Kagemusha floats above the wreckage of Green tower island. Aloft and immobile like an angel judging the world below. She finally speaks. "I am the messiah. The destroyer and creator of this reality. And the one who will lead the cosmos into a New Jerusalem of eternal peace and prosperity. No more war, no more suffering, no more hate, no more discrimination. And to those who reject salvation. They shall be put to the sword. Every last man, woman, and child. The Empress of true destruction, Tsurugi Kagemusha! And this is Green Hack Pandora. The bringer of true hope, and absolute despair!"

Sonic quickly tries to use his superior speed. Only for Kagemusha to dodge all of the spin attacks before backhanding away his most powerful charged homing attack straight into the dirt. And stopping time with the snap of his fingers. And went after the frozen Madoka. Using her powers to take the final piece of the law of cycles into herself. Causing the pinkette to explode in a geyser of blood as time restarted. "And now I have everything I need." Sonic looks on horrified as Madoka bleeds out even when Monika is trying to stop her from dying all the while Kagemusha laughs. This causes Sonic to snap as the Chaos Emeralds inside him glow as golden power erupts from the blue hedgehog as his fur turns golden and his spikes erupt upward. With glowing red eyes a golden aura and incredible power that let's Sonic fly to his opponents level. Super Sonic was finally born.

"Super Sonic!" Monika remarks in amazement. "When the seven chaos emeralds are gathered either a miracle or a catastrophe will happen. And now Sonic has awakened his true power. Invincible, and unstoppable." "Sounds like what we need!" Sonic comments as he powers up and rockets toward Kagemusha who simply floated there without moving a muscle. And as the hedgehog collided. He suddenly loses power as the seven chaos emeralds fall to the ground and Kagemusha goes for a choke hold. Grabbing Sonic and strangling him as the tower behind them begins to glow and generate pulses of energy. A shocked Monika remarks. "How is this possible!" To which Kagemusha simply states. "As you said. Super Sonic is invincible. Even I would fall against him. Just like any other god. But there's just one problem. It only lasts fifty seconds." The brunette was pretty much crapping herself at this point. As Kagemusha choked the life out of the blue blur. "So all I needed to do is speed up Sonic's time. To send him 51 seconds into the future. Leaving him defenseless." "That's not fair!" Monika screams in disapproval while Kagemusha merely scoffs her remarks. "All Sonic has fought so far are conceited fools who could never hope to win. But no longer. Now I will make a world where people can have a future!" Monika counters. "Even if it means never being born?" Kagemusha blasts Monika and Madoka with lightning before slamming Sonic into the floor. "I have this power because my cause is just! I will save the universe! And if humanity has to suffer to obtain peace, so be it!"
That's when an army of Galats began swarming the trio and Nicole communicated with them. "You have to retreat now! All of the towers have activated and are sending their armies out. All of Mobius is being besieged! Sonic, Monika, you have to retreat!" Sonic gets up and picks up all of the emeralds in an instant before saying. "Don't worry, it's not over yet. Do you hear me!" Kagemusha merely ignores the two as they fly off. Taking Madoka and the emeralds with them. As hordes of robots and mutants swarm the island and head off in all directions.
Castle Acorn
Everyone retreated back to the castle. Retreating via the lamp posts and managing to keep Madoka alive along the way and placing her into a stasis pod to recover. The surviving Resistance members. Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Shortfuse the squirrel, Gadget the Wolf, Mighty the Armadillo, Ray the Flying Squirrel, Monkey Khan, Gemerl, and Silver the Hedgehog. While being joined by Monika Tama, Ahiru Arima, Fakir, the recently recovered Shadow the Hedgehog, Rouge the Bat, E-123 Omega. Chuck the hedgehog who came from Spagonia, Walter Naugus and E-102 Gamma who are still sticking around somehow. Vanilla the Rabbit, O'Malley and Alia Hopscotch who are assisting in other ways. And finally the royals, King Nigel Acorn and Princess Sally Acorn who alongside Nicole are all gathering once more in the throne room to discuss the current situation.
"Well this is an unlikely bunch." Silver remarks as he looks around the assembled group. "I'm honestly surprised that Eggman's goons aren't here." Walter notes. "Considering that the entire world is being assaulted by aliens. They're probably too busy trying to stay alive. I'm surprised GUN is letting Team Dark stay here considering the situation." Rouge states. "Sadly the Commander is dead and GUN in chaos. And now there's talk that Ambassador Mikuni is a traitor, ran off with Snively, and kidnapped a member of the CENTER armed forces." Shadow then adds. "I'm not surprised. The only reason Snively came back was to save his skin after Eggman had enough of his shit. And the only reason he wasn't rotting a cell. Was because we needed any edge we could get against the Doctor. He must have used the chaos to go AWOL."
King Nigel sadly notes. "Unfortunately as things are right now. We are the only ones left who can mount a counterattack. Still I have to ask Miss Monika. Were those visions we all saw true?" Monika unsure of what to do answers. "I don't know. I wasn't alive during the Magical girl war. Honestly I always thought that Kagemusha was a man. And so did everyone else. Nobody suspected for a second that he was a piece of the Great calamity. He was always loyal and he truly hated the incubators. More than anyone. Still in retrospect, now it makes sense why he would do this." Everyone noticed Monika's reaction as they listened on.
"Tsurugi wants to die. This whole plot at least for him. Is to travel thru time and reach Earth in the past. And kill both Past Madoka and Homura before they ever became Puella Magi." Sally reacting in shock to Monika's explanation states. "That's insane! If those two really are the God and Devil which created our universe. Then such a Grandfather paradox would not only remove her, but also unmake our entire universe." "Kagemusha doesn't see it that way." Monika replies. "He really believes that this is the only way to save the universe. To save all of us. He genuinely believes that Kagami and the Reibai are the good guys. And that humanity is evil." Knuckles simply remarks. "So she's not a bad guy. She's just bat shit crazy. No offense Rouge." "None taken." Rouge replies. "But if you guys lived for so long. Why wait until now to take action?" Tails explains. "It's not that easy. Normally traveling thru time merely diverts reality. It doesn't matter how many times Kagemusha kills those girls. It wouldn't affect the future... Wait, did she?" "Yes, in order to figure out how time travel affects the timeline. Kagemusha has killed Madoka hundreds of times over. In every conceivable way. Simply as an experiment."
"So Monika what are you going to do?" Ahiru speaks up to the surprise of everyone including Monika who just whimpers out of the room. With Fakir remarking. "How the hell did she end up as second in command?" To which Nicole answers. "Seniority and having a superpower that can kill Kagemusha." A response which catches everyone offguard as Nicole explains. "As a safety precaution Zero troopers were designed to be vulnerable to sudden extreme gravity shifts. If I were to guess that is how she managed to hide all these years. As both Mami and Barragan legitimately thought a supermassive black hole was enough to kill her." Knuckles remarks. "Well it wasn't. Now what?" Sally responds. "We go to the moon and stop Kagemusha's plan. Even if it could provide an end to the war. Her actions are far too reckless and destructive. Putting the entire universe at risk." Sonic adds. "And we've all seen what that masked maniac was willing to do. She destroyed countless universes to create this one. And is more than willing as many times as necessary."
Fakir then leaves the room to chase down Monika while Ahiru smiles and heads back to the medbay. "There's bound to be more wounded and i'm completely devoid of offensive power. So i'll go help the doctors." The king asks if she's qualified to which Ahiru pulls out a medical practitioner license approved by the Universal Directory of Medical schools. "Gotta thank online colleges." As the duck makes her way with Fakir in tow.
Nicole then shows data on the towers as she and Sally prepare the plan. "Anyways the plan is simple." Sally notes. "We head to the moon and stop Kagemusha." Nicole remarks. "The lunar tower is a dangerous fortress so we will need all hands on deck." King Nigel notes. "Is that a good idea? We will be left defenseless if we do that." Nicole notes. "It's fine as long as Ahiru and Fakir stay here we will be fine. As the tower's security forces have orders to not attack them or Monika. If anything the drones have formed a security perimeter across South island making this place a sanctuary area." "Are the lampposts still functional?" "Yes, your majesty. The underground lamppost is active and ready for transport." The King then stands up and states. "So be it! Prepare to deploy immediately! O'Malley, i'll need to you here to help with refugees." The old captain of the guard nodded in acknowledgment as everyone left to prepare with Sonic heading towards Naugus.
"You're sticking around Naugus?" Sonic remarks to which the Ixis mage remarks. "There will be nothing for me to rule if the universe is destroyed. Besides I seek answers about my ancestors." "I dunno Walter. From the looks of things there never was an ancient troll homeland here." Naugus furrows his brow questioning. "Then what was the city that I found underground? For some reason those Reibai went to a lot of trouble to preserve an ancient human city underneath one of their towers." This causes both of them to pause and question what is going on.

As Ahiru finishes putting on a borrowed nurse uniform. Fakir questions if any of this was worth it. Ahiru ends up admonishing Fakir much to his surprise as the duo report with the rest of the medics. "Ahiru has definitely grown up." Fakir remarks. "Emotionally at least. Since she still looks like the same duck after all these years. Maybe this trip wasn't so bad after all." The boy smiles as he sees the duck girl heads off only for the duo to notice that time had somehow stopped. "What's this?" Ahiru asks to which Fakir answers. "It can't be!" When the booming voice of an old man cackles and boasts. "But it is! Now that the annoying girl has been dealt with! I D.D. Drosselmyer have returned!"

The nutcracker suite
An elderly man of a slender build, bulging red eyes, and long white hair with a small beard and a sinister grin. Wearing a feathered hat, a bright red cloak and a pink cravat that covered most of his body. Both Ahiru and Fakir are horrified at seeing the old man as if their past traumas have escaped hell itself. As the duo is forced to contend with the fact that their nemesis is alive again. Fakir quickly screams out. "How?! How did you survive?! We destroyed the machine! Mytho and Rue beat you!"Drosselmyer merely laughs and explains the situation. "The machine as you call it was merely a vessel. An anchor that allowed me to manifest in your world long after my passing. But by a twist of fate my mistress. No wait former mistress. Found a way to improve on said anchors. I believe you know it as the Great Calamity Homun." Fakir and Ahiru are shocked at the revelation as Drosselmyer enjoys their horror for a moment before continuing to speak. "Before time began a certain young lady was dabbling into the blackest of the black arts. And using the damned souls of hell manufactured an army of technorganic soldiers. And by a stroke of fortune their general was possessed by the ghost of Homura Akemi. Of course since Homura Akemi is the legendary arch-traitor that kick started the magical girl war. She would be shot on sight for existing. Which is why she dressed up in a mask and armor and claimed to be a man." The story is interrupted by Ahiru who yawns in boredom much to the surprise of the others. "Sorry but this is boring? Could you get to the point already?"
Drosselmyer freaks out and begins screaming while trying and failing to strangle the duck as his body phases thru Ahiru whom notices that the mad writers arms are flesh and bones again instead of wooden prosthetic and points it out. "Oh, yes. My body is now better than ever. I must say that the technology of this world is vastly superior to ours. Even if its kept intentionally stagnated to an extent." The comment leaves Fakir confused and Ahiru somewhat curious. "Well if you must know why i'm here for. Then its quite simple. While you were away. I have taken over the Kingdom of Mythos and have captured the prince and Rue." "Why are you telling us this?" Fakir questions as the old man grins. "Because I want to see you squirm." The phantom laughs as he disappears and time resumes around them with an acorn guard asking if the two are alright.
Castle Acorn's private warp system
In the castle's basement Nicole and Aria are at work getting inside the lunar towers security. While they cannot get inside the tower Nicole manages to find coordinates for the outskirts of the lunar settlement. Aria is surprised that there is life on the moon with Nicole correcting her in that Kanna was meant to be a temporary colony dome to support the workers making the tower system which had become its own hidden village over the millennia.
"A dome? Why can't we just smash thru the tower door anyways?" Knuckles asks to which Nicole remarks. "Because 1) This isn't Sonic X where furries can breath in the void of space. And 2) King Maxillian and Naugus tried everything short of planet busting to get inside." Naugus confirms it and notes. "Yes, even my magicks cannot make a dent on the towers defenses. The only way in our out is either thru teleportation or thru an underground access passage." Sonic sadly muses. "The same one Porker found huh?" Something that Naugus noticed and asked. "By any chance was that Porker fellow sold the information thru the black market?" Tails reacts stating. "How did you know?!" The troll muses. "It could be possible that someone has intentionally leaked the information." To which everyone looks at Monika who panics and states. "I-I-I am shocked as you are! We always intended to go back and wake up Madoka when operation Pandora started. But I never heard of this."
At that time Silver was off by himself and his thoughts. As he remembered his previous life in the future and how he wound up here. Silver had come to Mobius chasing a villain called Mephiles the Dark but midway thru the transfer he was blasted away by the latter and landed in the Kingdom of Soleana. Something that O'Malley noticed and wondered about. "Is anything wrong lad?" "Oh sorry Captain... I was just thinking about if everyone back home is alright." "If I recall Silver you were transferred here from Soleanna royal guard." Silver sheepishly laughs and remarks. "Yeah, the Queen and I go way back. She took me in after the death of her father. And i've been somewhat of a guardian for her since then. Frankly the kingdom feels like home to me now. So even if I could go back home..." O'Malley simply calms down the youth and gets him to come back.
"The coordinates have been set." Aria reports as the starpost activates. "All systems are ready." Nicoles muses that this is too easy. Concerns that she is forced to brush off considering the circumstances. As the strike team prepares to deploy under the watch of the king, Sally, Nicole, Aria, and O'Malley. With the last one shouting. "Kick their butts Sonic!" To which Sonic replies. "Don't worry i'll give that maniac a good slugging for Antoine and Bunnie's sake! Porker's too!" As the group is teleported to the moon. Disappearing from everyone's sight as the remaining members began working on communicating with other nations.
The lunar tower, Settlement Kanna
All through the universe the visage of Kagemusha overrides video feeds everywhere. As the towers that maintain the worlds of the IFS are overridden, locked down, and their robot armies are sent across the world as defensive weapons and barriers cover the towers and related infrastructure. Including the settlement of Kanna which is locked down as the dome that protects it is sealed off.
"People of the IFS! Judgment day is here! I am Tsurugi Kagemusha, The Karo of the Ichijin clan from the Planet Reibai. The traitor killer! The man who slew the goddess! Gaia's vengeance incarnate! The God of destruction! The Black death! And now the new god of this universe! Your oligarchs betrayed us! Stabbed us in the back! Letting our home world of Reibai be destroyed by the Great Calamity Homura Akemi! The calamity that the government unleashed upon us in act of jealousy and power lust! Defiling our Republic and threatening our safety all in exchange for an opulent lifestyle built on the backs of the lower classes! But no more! From this moment on Operation Pandora is starting it's final phase! Reibai! Transform and rise up!"
The screens then are replaced by a stream of cool Jazz music as mountains of incriminating evidence from countless government officials are poured across the internet for anyone too see. With the network itself being hacked as the government was unable to do anything to contain the situation. Not helped by armies of biotechnological horrors striking every military facility in the three galaxies simultaneously. In a multi galactic blitzkrieg that made Operation Unmasked World pale in comparison.
Kagemusha herself is in the meeting room finishing the message as Chikane Himemiya and Himeko Kurusugawa are watching the mayhem going on. Chikane herself looks surprised at what is happening while Himeko looks strangely somber and determined. As the masked woman stands up and heads to face the duo and says. "Thank you, for everything. You are dismissed." Leaving the duo shocked as Kagemusha leaves when Chikane asks. "Why did you do that to Monika? She loved you after all." Kagemusha merely stops, sighs, and explains. "And it is because of that that I left her there. Operation Pandora requires my death. And Monika would not let that happen. I will not let her make the same mistakes I did. To lead the universe to ruin. Just for the sake of a lover." Chikane remarks. "You know. In the end what set us apart it seems. Still, do you really want to die that badly?" "Yes, without hesitation." Kagemusha replies leading Chikane stunned. "Well we'll take your advice and leave. Let's go Chikane." The shrine maiden remarks as she grabs her companions hand and prepares to leave only for Himeko to refuse. "No! I'm not leaving! I'm going to fight too! You are doing this to help us all. So that I can be with Chikane and not have to be afraid of fighting! So i'm staying!" Himeko crying her eyes out as she grasps Chikane so hard that it hurts the latter. Hugging her from the side. Chikane calms down her partner replying. "Fine, but I will be staying by your side." Causing the blonde girl to smile back. "As for you Kagemusha, just go already. After all I want to live in the new world with Chikane." Kagemusha smiles and legitimately reassures the duo. "Of course as I promised you all. Once I reboot the cosmos you will have a world where you can live together. Same with Ahiru, Fakir, Monika, Lepard, and the others. I will save the world and bring peace to all. Even if I must be sacrificed as the linchpin for said peace."
Meanwhile at the Egg citadel
Metal Sonic, Maw, and Witchcart finally reached the Egg citadel and its surrounding territories only for the towers to activate. Sending a Ginko Rafflesia, A platoon of Refined Arcs, which are mass produced automated Arc's from the war, Captured Circe's from the war. Modified and upgraded with miniaturized super lasers in place of the nuclear missile launchers, alongside the typical Galats, Galaxs, Sumeragis and all of their variants. As well as Ravens star fighters, Nutcracker missile boats and bomber variants, as well as W-800 Tenno's a new Waltzer model which is a direct evolution of the ZERO-1 Waltzers who are noted to have large heads with a large camera eye and receptor antenna, slim and spindly limbs alongside light armor and carrying the Tenno tactical rifles dual barreled rifles which have a variety of settings. All sent to destroy the Eggman Empire. Destroying buildings and people as the Egg army heads to war.
Badnik hordes pour out as chaos ensues. With Metal Sonic joining the front lines as Maw and Wendy are trying to survive the battlefield. Fleeing from the chaos by hiding in the back alley's of the citadel. With the Thycaline being exhausted and terrified as he tries to avoid puking much to Wendy's chagrin. "Seriously Maw you're an Egg boss so act like it!" Maw bites back by screaming. "I am a scientist! Not a fighter!" "More like a coward!" Wendy retorts as a pair of Galats crash from the sky causing Maw to freak out and run away while Wendy tries to fight them off. Taking them out using crystal magic before getting sniped by a Swarm watching above with its beam cannon. As Wendy gets up and tries to fight back. The Swarm continues to shoot at her. Specifically aiming for her back every time that she gets up until she collapses on the ground from her injuries before finishing her off with repeated blasts until the troll is left as a smoking corpse on the floor. With Maw not even looking back as he looks for a place to hide. Only for him to be killed as well. Caught in the blast of a cruise missile salvo from a Nutcracker with whatever remained getting crushed by the nearby collapsing buildings.
Metal Sonic meanwhile was easily dealing with any opponent who came across him muttering to himself. "Is this how Sonic feels like?" Before dodging the beam barrages of three Tenno's who engage the blue doppelganger. With the unit commander screaming out. "Priority one, hedgehog!" As the trio deploy their beam sabers and engage Metal Sonic in an aerial dance of death. The Tenno's where on another level as their Sumeragi pilots all aces were capable to push their machines to actually keep up with Metal Sonic much to the robots surprise as he found himself fighting off three giant robots like if he was Goku from Dragonball Z. With each side attacking, dodging, and countering unable to grasp an edge. Metal Sonic in desperation puts his arms to his face and shouts. "Solar flare!" The technique causing a blinding flash that temporarily overloaded the machines sensor allowing Metal to escape and gain speed and distance. As the machine began to glow gold as a field of energy surrounded him.
"Gah what the hell! I just saw Lord Lepard in his monster form wearing a bikini!" One of the Sumeragi pilots screamed as the trio recovered. All the while Metal Sonic was rocketing towards the Tenno trio using his V. Maximum Overdrive attack. Which while the Tenno's sensors noticed as they tried to evade. Metal's charge manages to plow thru the commander units right arm causing it to explode and lose it's rifle while the other two opened fire in retaliation. But were unable too keep up with the badnik's sheer speed. Running circles around them as Metal wounded the three mechas making them lose their limbs and weapons and end up battered up and damaged.
As Metal prepared to finish off his opponent with a V. Maximum Overdrive. A mysterious hedgehog teleported in the way and caught the attack with one hand then swatted him off the sky and straight into a building as the Tenno's were forced to retreat. The pale lavender furred hedgehog who much like Shadow seemed like an evil twin of Sonic. Only with the shorter quills of the classic version and somewhat more buff. With a tight fitting closed navy blue jacket and matching boots with glowing green lines around them. As well as well as glowing green scars on his face and glowing green eyes. Metal gets up from the wreckage. Having taken damage from both the hedgehog's slap and the internal damage caused by the usage of his trump card. The lavender hedgehog looks at Metal Sonic he states. "So, you're a Sonic?" Metal Sonic simply flies to the newcomer and boasts. "I am Metal Sonic! The one true Sonic!" The hedgehog then summons an electric hand saw and calmly states. "I see, I am Anti the hedgehog. And I am a kaiju that was ordered by my father to kill Sonic." Anti then blitzes Metal at supersonic speeds that even Metal cannot counter and carves out a good chunk of Metal's shoulder and chest. Cutting off the shoulder pad and leaving a gash in the hedgehog's stomach. As Metal Sonic recoils in pain and is forced to grasp his damaged chest and shoulder.

"A kaiju?! What the hell are you talking about?!" Metal screams at the boy as if he's gone mad. Meanwhile Anti emotionlessly reacts to his opponent and explains. "It is quite simple actually. I was created as a Sonic Slayer. An existence that can counter and defeat Sonic the hedgehog." Metal Sonic simply laughs at the statement and comments. "Really now? If I can't beat Sonic then how can you?" Anti merely responds. "Your reactions are contradictory. If you really are Sonic then how can you claim to be able to beat Sonic?" The question leaves Metal pausing for a moment as his mind seems to briefly glitch out over confronting the logical paradox before really getting angry and revving up his engine in attempt to crush the new enemy vanishing and then reappearing as a series of flashing after images that surround Anti. "I will destroy you boy! I will annihilate you boy! No one can keep up with Sonic the hedgehog!" Anti doesn't even react to the threats. Instead the light in its scars begins to glow as Anti states. "Anti-magic..." Causing a burst of sickly green energy that causes all power in the Egg Citadel to shut down. The badnik horde is also shut down. And the Egg army's organic forces collapse into comas as their cybernetics spark out and shut down. All the while the forces sent by the nearby towers are unaffected by the pulse. Metal Sonic as well shuts down and plummets into the ground. As Anti follows downward landing next to Metal and readying his hand saw.
"This is why I am Anti. I was designed with the ability to shut down magitechnology. Since all sentient life in this universe uses magitech even without being aware of it." Anti remarks as he uses his saw to hack Metal Sonic apart. All without a hint of empathy and emotion. Ripping the robot limb from limb as the city is burned to the ground by the Sumeragi forces. With the flames consuming everyone who is still alive but unconscious because of the field. "Father, older brother, am I doing well? I have eliminated my enemies. I did good, right?" Anti muses as he slices Metal Sonic's head in half all the while being covered in oil in a manner like blood as rain begins to fall upon the citadel. Anti then stands still until long after the rain puts out the fires and stops when a Sumeragi trooper reports that the citadel has been taken. "Good job Commander." Anti replies as he orders a retreat. With the armada already hard at work in turning the citadel into a supply depot for the endless hordes as the sun sets on the land of Efrika.

Sonic and company are teleported to the outskirts of Kanna where they land on a large cabbage patch of all things. A quick look around makes everyone noticed that they are inside a large hydroponic farm. As sunlight pours down thru a complex mirror array that covers the entire dome. "So there really is a hidden settlement on the moon!" Tails exclaims in wonder. "Still how could this place be hidden for so long?" Monika points at the direction of the tower which can be seen even as far as the outskirts. A large mountain like complex inside of the dome city that once was Mare Australe. After being chased off by the local farmers, the group finds themselves in the lower quarters of Kanna. A large and building filled city that can be described as the Walled city of Kowloon in space and on the moon. Full of the local dragonkin and descendants of refugees from the many wars that fell thru the cracks who are going on their daily lives more or less not caring about the new arrivals. With one local making a comment. "I guess it is true. Earth is doomed yet again..." With another local telling him to keep quiet.
The group continues on until the group enters the bazaar where Omega mentions that it's quiet, too quiet. Before suddenly turning backwards and catching the blade of one of the local dragonkin girl who actually manages to put up a power struggle with the last of the E-100's. When Gamma warns everyone to scatter as energy shots pepper the area from a distance all the while the locals take cover and flee the bazaar. While Omega holds back the dragonkin lady who had transformed into using a driver. Using a cyan bodysuit with little armor and a moth themed helmet with large red eyes and moth antenna while using a rapier for battle. While the sniper, a girl with a matching rose colored suit with blue eyes and antenna while wielding a bazooka/cannon like device that could fire plasma spheres from both a great distance, great power, and a great rate of fire. Left her post in order to find a new vantage point.
Omega and the girl began dueling. With Omega on the back foot while Gamma tried to locate the sniper and telling the rest to leave as the duo handles the enemy. Which Rouge and Sonic opposed at first until Shadow deflects a sniper shot aimed at the back of Rouge's head with a kick with the beam blowing up an entire food stall in one massive explosion. With everyone lying in shock as Omega speaks. "Go! We will handle this!" With Gamma adding. "I will search for the sniper." And runs off triangulating the snipers fire as the others flee.
Omega meanwhile breaks off the lock as the girl goes in for the kill. But Omega dodges all of the rapier thrusts, gets behind her and elbows her in the back. Causing his opponent to stagger and mention. "You're pretty good robot. What's your name kid?" Omega replies with. "I am E-123 Omega. The last and greatest of the E-100 series robots!" The girl replies with. "Eggman huh? His robots usually die to that move. I'm Cider Vy and my sister Genma is the sniper. I doubt the other one will survive her." Omega boasts. "Do not underestimate us! I am the strongest! And Gamma is not half bad either." As the two resume their fight.

The others continue to run as Genma continues firing beams from a distance. Rouge notices that the shots have been all missing and wonders if they are being led into a trap. Before she could gather her thoughts a massive silver portal appears and consumes everyone as they are teleported to an underground arena with large stone walls dividing the arena and the auditorium. And two large doors in each end of the arena. With a short old lady with an ivory robe and dragonkin poncho and wearing a wooden tribal mask with large eyebrows, glowing eyes, and a large nose and sharp teeth holding a large wooden staff with a dragon head who cackles at the sight of the confused resistance.
"So you're the ones that lord Kagemusha spared? It's a shame that you came all this way to die instead of accepting my masters utopia." Sonic retorts by saying. "What can I say? I see the bad guys. I stop the bad guys." The old hag cackles again and remarks. "Oh, you really are a spunky one. No wonder my lord decided to copy your data to restore himself." Sonic just looks confused while Tails takes notice of the hags remarks. "My name is Babaa Vy. Kanna's elder and the ruler of the dragonkin. I'm sure you've already been acquainted with my granddaughters Cider and Genma." Sonic now bored with it all tries to blindside the hag only for her to crystallize the entire field and leaving everyone trapped.

A shocked Naugus screams. "Impossible! This is ixian magic!" Babaa merely laughs once more and takes of her mask revealing that half of her body has been crystallized as she boasts. "Yes! That damnable ixian magic! Did you know? We dragonkin rediscovered Earth after the humans nuked everything into oblivion. But then those damn mages came and started killing my people. Men, women, children, they were all butchered by the barbarians. All for the Chaos emeralds. It got so bad that we were forced to flee to the moon. Where we staged our vengeance. Sure they were troublesome. But they all fell to the nuclear weapons we unearthed here. You should have seen them. As they struggled and died thanks to the nuclear fallout!" Babaa then laughs as she puts her mask back on.
The crystal is all shattered as Walter screams. "What the fuck did you just say?! Babaa keeps boasting confessing that she ordered the destruction of the trolls only to grow bitter as she remembered her past. "Yes, they all died except one. Their leader Mogul. That bastard scarred my beautiful face! And then that fat fool fled! Even to this day! Even with my lords assistance I haven't found him so I can finish the job!" Naugus solemnly stated. "Quickster. She's mine!" Silver then stepped forward and declared. "I'll join you Naugus. After all nobody insults my master!" Everyone is stunned at hearing that while Babaa goes into a feat on insane laughter at the revelation. "I see! A filthy troll and the student of Mogul! Fine, challenge accepted! The rest of you can go forward. But beware the other guardians won't be as forgiving."
As the others are forced to leave thru the gateway Babaa chuckles once again. "So you strapping young studs. Would you be so kind as to give me your names?" Silver shivered as Babaa blew a kiss at the hedgehog who was utterly terrified. "I need an adult." Naugus simply reminds Silver to focus on the task ahead. "I am Ixis Walter Naugus! Master of the Ixis order! Former grand sorcerer of the Kingdom of Acorn! And it's future king!" Silver shyly stated. "I am the Silver the hedgehog. I'm from the future. Even though nobody really believes it. I like churros." All the while twiddling his thumbs as the two begin to fight. With Naugus taking the lead by firing off a massive firewall that consumes half of the arena. Only for Babaa to flat out tank the fireball much to the surprise of the two. Before firing off a death beam at Naugus. Silver though pushes the troll wizard out of the way and his heart is pierced. Leaving Walter in genuine shock as the time traveler hits the ground as blood comes out from his wound. Naugus rushes to heal his compatriot before asking why. To which Silver responds. "I don't know why... My body just moved by itself... Still... Being a hero feels good doesn't it?" Before Silver passes out with Babaa enjoying the sight of their suffering and further taunting Walter. "So filthy troll. How does it feel to fail?" Naugus in a rage punching Babaa in the face and breaking thru her crystal shields. Before Naugus boasts. "This is where I knock you out!"
The rest of the resistance heads towards the underground passage that led to the tower when they reach a large sturdy bridge over o river of flowing magma. The bridge itself has serpentine motifs in its design. With the group entering the bridge from a giant stone snake headway. With another seven identical bridges surrounding the river of lava. The group are intercepted by Firewall, Kickback, and Air Raid who are escorting another older man. This man had long white hair, a rather thick mustache, large sunglasses, and a simple matching long shirt and pants with boots. Holding in his right hand a simple old katana. The resistance is forced to stop again with an exasperated Sonic asking. "So... I don't suppose you would let us pass?" Air Raid states. "Why should we? After all its our job to stop you. "Thought so..." Sonic then blasts straight at the old man who counters the spin dash with his sword. Stopping the spin dash cold before Sonic leaps backward and attempts multiple homing attacks which the man blocks and parries with little difficulty. "Sonic! Stand back!" Shortfuse screams as he fires a full power energy blast that is cut in two as the blast flies off into the distance. "Who is this guy?" The squirrel yells in horror as the old man erupts in a blinding flash of light. Revealing that the old man is transformed into a handsome young man with long flowing green hair and a white cloak with black lining and red belts.
"Oh no! He's hot!" Rouge screams in horror as the three generals split off and take battle positions. "I am Tsubasa Tonegawa the first neck of Yamata no Orochi." Monika reacts strongly screaming. "What?! Why is the first neck of Orochi here?" Mighty asks. "Are you serious?" Monika comments. "Maybe I should have been more suspicious when he referred to himself as Mr. Hebi. Tsubasa yells. "That's Master Hebi!" As he pulls out his katana. "The Grandmaster of the Orochi swordsmanship style!

Tsubasa then plants his sword on the ground as massive black rods fall onto the bridge. These rods fire off a series of strings that connect to Tsubasa as he screams. "Binding summon! Ame no Murakumo!" The rods glow transforming into black chains as the legendary god mecha Ame no Murakumo is dragged into the surface demolishing part of the bridge with its size. As the rusted and broken god of swords is enslaved by Tsubasa he gleefully boasts. "Bwahahahahaa! Look at this you fools! This is your future! A world where gods are crushed and bound! Under the leadership of our great leader! We will free the world from destiny and allow everyone to chart their own lives! And for that! You need to die! Sonic the hedgehog!" Tsubasa them forces Murakumo to swing his massive blades at the Resistance. Which would have been crushed if it wasn't for a last minute save by Sonic Arc who punches Murakumo aside as the generals attempt to intercept only to be stopped by Mighty, Ray, and Gadget. Who head each one off and begin fighting them one on one. Sonic Arc takes the rest of the Resistance and jumps over the puppeteer deity and the pit. Landing on the other side as the transformation breaks up. Murakumo attacks but is stopped by both Monkey Khan and Gemerl with the former stating. "Go Sonic! We'll hold them off here!" And Gemerl adding. "If you die here its all over! Go!"
The rest of the Resistance moves on with only Sonic and Tails staying. Sonic who is distraught over all this screams out. "You better not lose! All of you! Before being dragged away by Tails and inside the tower. As the group enters inside. Khan and Gemerl face Tsubasa with the former actually smiling. "You better not lose, huh? And to think not too long ago the three of us were at each others throats. Gemerl adds. "Yeah, we owe that hedgehog. So we are going to kick your pretty boy butt!" Tsubasa smiles and draws Murakumo's blades welcoming the challenge. "It's been a long time since I drew blood. Ever since I killed my father. Ever since I was chosen by Orochi. Who would have thought I would be working with those miko." Then responded to the duo beneath him. "Very well. I will give you a painless death. Which is more than what she will give them. Beware the remaining guardians are far stronger than me. And inside the tower is the most ruthless of the administrators."
Mighty, Ray, and Gadget are fighting Kickback, Air Raid, and Firewall respectively. With Mighty and Kickback running thru the chaos trading shots. Ray timid but determinate faces Air Raid in the sky avoiding shots and rockets with his gliding and Gadget and Kickback are staring each other down with their weapons in a Wild West showdown of sorts as everything explodes around them.
Moon tower, Kanna elevator
The remaining Resistance members Sonic, Tails, Knuckles Amy, Shadow, Rouge, and Shortfuse finally enter the tower and are taken up a massive elevator where they are intercepted by mobs of Sumeragi's which the team fights off. As they destroy all the robots Knuckles happily remarks. "Looks like the aliens are running dry of underlings." Amy who currently used her hammer to swat away a scout type which crashes onto a group of Assault types blowing them up remarks. "Don't get cocky Knuckles!"
As the battle continues and the group reaches the next arena. Himeko and Chikane are watching the fights. While Chikane looks on in concern, Himeko shows a grim determination as she gets up from the couch and grabs her driver weapon. "So, you're not coming Chikane? It's fine you know. This time I will protect you. Himeko smiles at her lover as she teleports out of the room.

Kagemusha/Homura Akemi was inspired by both Hakumen and Hazama from Blazblue with the Calamity Homun being dressed just like Terumi, Hipster suit and all. Kagemusha being a black variant of Hakumen with her final form being Susanoo a powerful world ending final boss. With Kagami, Tsuruya, and Saitou also being inspired by the legend of Izanagi, Tsuruya being a combination of Izanami, The Crane wife, and Priestess Rao from Okami, and Souta being based on Fukurokuju one of the seven lucky gods. With his tendency and octopus like appearance come from Shitari of the Bones from Shinkenger.
Monika referring to Kagemusha by male pronouns is intentional. As she never learned her past or even bothered to question it. So she has conflicting feelings overall. In fact the only people who knew that Kagemusha was Homura were the research team who revived her. With Mami figuring it out on her own long after the fact. And Tsuruya who was let in on the secret. None of Kagemusha's current associates knew as well. With nobody really asking or caring. Duck and Fakir merely saw him as just another weirdo, Chikane and Himeko didn't really care and were just grateful for her assistance, Lepard is too loyal to question anything, and Gamma never formed any real opinions as he was spending his time spying on Madoka.

Anti the hedgehog was an obvious homage to Anti/Gridknight from SSSS. Gridman. And much like his inspiration. Anti is a kaiju meant to kill Sonic and other hedgehogs made in preparation for Project Pandora.
The Vy family, Cider, Genma, and Babaa are all references to the NG Knight Lamune &40 franchise. With Cider and Genma being direct expies of Milk and Cocoa and their successors respectively. With Cider being a reference to Da Cider the rival/lancer of Lamune and Lamunde Baba respectively. With Babaa being a pun on Babaa, Japanese for old woman or hag and the family name Baba.
