Clyde, Stella, Rusty, Zach, and Liam could only hide and watch as a terrifying scene unfolded before them outside the Royal Woods Mall. A new mutant dressed in a red suit, a purple cape, and a helmet had arrived and was causing more pandemonium. He hovered through the air above the parking lot bending lamp posts and flinging cars and anything metal into the air as he passed by. People were running away screaming in terror as this happened. Among them was Chandler, who tripped and fell to the ground. The adolescent boy looked up and screamed as he saw a trash can being hurled right at him. Fortunately, the trash can landed on the ground open end first and bounced off leaving the boy unharmed. Unfortunately, he was now covered in garbage.

As the flying mutant continued on his path, he was blocked by a squad of armed police officers who aimed their firearms at him.

"Freeze!" one officer ordered, but the mutant looked unimpressed.

Suddenly, all their firearms were yanked out of their hands and holsters and were now floating in the air and being aimed at them. The unarmed police officers could only nervously stand still with their hands up trying not to give the mutant a reason to use their weapons against them.

"You homo sapiens never learn," the mutant mocked the officers. By the tone of his voice, he was old but still strong. "You think guns will protect you? No, they only ensure your downfall."

He hovered past the defenseless officers while still keeping their guns trained on them. The powerful man stood in front of the entrance to the mall and raised his hands toward it. Instantly, the ground began to shake. Suddenly, the doors and walls of the entrance were ripped out creating a huge hole where it once was.

Lincoln's friends stayed hidden while witnessing the whole thing.

"That… happened!" a nearly speechless Rusty managed to get out.

"Lincoln!" a worried Clyde exclaimed.

The Loud family took notice of the X-Men's sudden change in character. The expressions on their faces were those of dread and unease. Suddenly, they heard the sounds of rubble crashing in the distance and the dreadful looks intensified.

"Who's Magneto?" a confused Lynn Jr. asked.

"A very powerful mutant," Storm answered.

"He has the power to control magnetic fields allowing him to manipulate metal," Jean Grey explained.

"He is also the founder and leader of the Brotherhood," Cyclops added.

A look of nervousness spread over Lincoln's face at what he heard. If he had learned anything from his years of reading comics and playing video games, it's that the leader of a supervillain group was often times the strongest of the lot. The villains they had been dealing with so far were trouble enough, but now their leader was here, and if he was as powerful as the X-Men were saying he was, then he and his family were about to be in even more trouble than they've ever been.

"What'll we do?" Leni fearfully asked.

"We must leave immediately!" Storm said.

The Louds and the X-Men took off running down the mall. However, they stopped when they realized something was wrong. They all turned to find Wolverine had suddenly stopped in his tracks and was standing perfectly still.

"Wolverine, what's wrong?" a concerned Jean asked.

"What gives?" an impatient Lynn Jr. demanded.

"Run!" Wolverine yelled. He looked like he was in some sort of pain. "I can't move!"

Suddenly, he was lifted up into the air and pinned against a wall. Everyone gasped. That could only mean one thing: Magneto had finally caught up and was nearby. Colossus felt himself be lifted off the ground and pinned to a wall. Because of the metallic elements to their bodies, both Wolverine and Colossus were at the mercy of their newly arrived foe. The rest of the X-Men stood in front of the family and got ready for a fight. Soon their enemy appeared before them hovering in the air. There he was; the Master of Magnetism, the leader of the Brotherhood, and the man responsible for all the troubles everyone had been facing that day.

"You X-Men are a long way from home," Magneto addressed his enemies. "Hope Xavier found some good substitutes for your classes."

"Magneto!" Cyclops said.

"You have a lot of nerve sending your cronies after a small child!" Jean angrily berated.

"Oh please, even you all must know there is more to that child than meets the eye," Magneto refuted. "Powerful mutants like him are hard to come by. Humans will fear and try to destroy him, others will try to control him. But I can fix that. I can help him understand his gifts, teach him how to master them, and use them for a greater purpose."

"How is causing destruction and spreading fear a greater purpose?!" Storm asked in an angry and demanding tone.

"We all do what we must to ensure a better future for our kind!"

"That we agree on!" Cyclops responded and blasted his ocular beams at their opponent.

Magneto levitated a flat, square metal plate from a nearby wall and used it to block the crimson ocular beam. Then he hurled the plate at Cyclops hitting him in the face and knocking off the visor. With his visor off, the X-Men field leader was forced to keep his eyes shut.

Jean levitated some nearby objects (a bench, a trash can, and Flip's Hotdog stand) into the air and hurled them at Magneto. But the Master of Magnetism was able to stop the flying objects, due to the metal parts in them, and hurl them aside. Then he levitated two metal poles and used them to restrain her. Storm hovered in the air and prepared for a weather attack, but Magneto quickly used some poles to restrain her and the blinded Cyclops. Then he turned to find Shadowcat and the Loud family missing.

"We gotta get out of here!" a panicking Lynn Sr. cried as he, his family, and Shadowcat ran through the mall as fast as they could. "We can start a whole life somewhere far away! We'll call ourselves the 'Load' family! Goodbye Royal Woods! Goodbye Mr. Grouse! Goodbye Lynn's Table!" Tears began to well up in his eyes.

Suddenly, a broken pillar was thrown in the way and blocked their path.

"You're not going anywhere!" a freed Blob appeared before them.

Everyone gasped in shock and horror when a freed Pyro appeared beside his comrade.

"Don't worry, guys," Kitty assured everyone. "I'll handle these –" But before she could finish or do anything, a small metal object flew through the air and hit her in the back of the head knocking the young X-woman unconscious.

"Kitty!" the family gasped as they tried to see if she was alright. But then their attention was turned to where the object came from. To their horror, they saw that the thugs' magnetic master had caught up with them.

"I believe this little game is over now," Magneto said. He levitated himself down to the floor and began to approach the terrified family. "Come, boy," he spoke in a gentle tone to Lincoln hoping to make him feel calm. "We mean you no harm. We just want to help you."

Lincoln shivered nervously at the approaching magnetic menace. Think quickly, Lynn Jr. reached into her brother's clothes, pulled out one of his magician's smoke bombs, and threw it to the ground. The impact instantly released a big cloud of smoke obstructing everyone's vision. Magneto threw his hands up and loud metallic sounds filled the air for a moment. When the smoke had cleared, the Louds (with the exception of Lincoln and Lynn Jr.) were trapped in a cage made by metal pipes protruding up from the floor. Magneto looked around to see if he could spot the missing Loud kids, but could find no sign of them.

"Come out, boy," he called. "There is no need to hide or fight, I just want to talk."

During the confusion created by the smoke bomb, Lynn grabbed Lincoln and made a break for it. They had made their way up an escalator to the second floor and were right at the entrance of a sports store. Noticing the smoke had cleared, Lynn pushed her brother into the store to avoid being spotted. They both peeked around a corner to see that the other members of their family didn't make it and were now being held prisoner.

"Young man, we did not come here to cause any unnecessary destruction, we just want you," Magneto continued to call out. "If you agree to come with my Brotherhood peacefully, I can ensure your family's freedom and safety."

Lincoln was tempted to take up the offer if it would save his family.

"Don't buy it, Bro," Lynn said grabbing his arm. "He's just trying to mess with you."

"So what do we do?" Lincoln nervously asked. For once, he was not the Man with the Plan.

"Come on."

The two siblings went deeper into the store until they came across a rack of baseball bats, tennis rackets, hockey sticks, and golf clubs.

"If we can't fight with metal, then we'll have to fight with something else," Lynn said as she began to grab all sorts of wooden and plastic equipment to use as weapons.

"Lynn, we can't fight them, they're just too strong," Lincoln tried to reason with his sister.

"Listen Stinkin'!" Lynn spoke in a serious tone. "We're Louds and we don't go down without a fight. Now are you with me?" She held out a wooden baseball bat and offered it to her brother.

Before Lincoln could even touch the bat, it was lifted into the air along with Lynn. They looked up to see it was being held by hand with long, sharp claws and not too far from it was a face with soulless black eyes and a sinister grinning mouth with sharp fangs.

"Playing a game, kids?" Sabretooth taunted menacingly. "Mind if I join?"

Lynn let go of the bat and fell to the floor. Quickly, she got up, grabbed a hockey stick, and swung it at their opponent who just caught it with his hand and broke it in half. Then Sabretooth grabbed her by the collar of her jersey and lifted her off the floor. Lynn kicked and grunted as she tried to break free.

"What's wrong, is that all you got?" Sabretooth sadistically taunted.

"Let her go!" Lincoln demanded and started hitting and kicking his leg.

Sabretooth responded by giving the boy a kick knocking him away. He made sure not to be too rough. If the target received any serious damage, he would not get paid.

"Settle down, kid," Sabretooth said with an evil grin. "Enjoy the show."

Then he threw Lynn against another rack of sports goods, knocking it over. The impact must've hurt a lot because the girl was struggling to get back on her feet.

"I haven't had this much fun since I served in Vietnam!" Sabretooth remarked as he ominously approached the injured girl. Then he grabbed her by the throat and pinned her to the floor. Lynn struggled to get free, but her struggling ceased as she looked up and saw a face sporting a bloodthirsty smile and eyes that spelled death. "Do just one favor for me, and SCREAM!" Sabretooth cackled.

It was a very rare sight to see Lynn Loud Jr. so scared out of her mind that she could barely speak. Tears of fear began to stream from her eyes. An equally scared Lincoln looked up and saw their enemy raise his free arm and brandish his talons. He was preparing to slash the petrified athlete. Desperately, Lincoln tried to think of a plan to save his sister before it was too late. Suddenly, he felt a fire light within himself and it quickly began to grow. His fear turned to anger.

"Stop it!" the boy yelled.

Suddenly, both Sabretooth and Lynn felt a gust of wind. They turned to see Lincoln had gotten up on his feet, and he was not happy. The boy raised his right hand as he continued to glare to the vicious beast of a man that was threatening his sister. A small ball of air began to form in his palm and began to grow bigger and bigger until it was twice his size.

"Leave… her… ALONE!" Lincoln screamed in rage and sent the huge ball of air hurling toward Sabretooth.

"No! Wait!" he cried. It was his turn to feel fear now.

CRASH!

Magneto, Blob, Pyro, and their hostages saw a huge ball of air crash through a nearby store on the second floor and through the ceiling of the mall. The ball was carrying Sabretooth who was now sent flying miles and miles away. Everyone looked up at the second floor and saw Lincoln walk out of the store and into view. But there was something different about him. His body was surrounded by an aura of air currents flowing in multiple directions and the look on his face was devoid of fear.

Lynn got up on her feet and watched in awe as her younger brother glared down at the villains who were still holding the rest of the family hostage. The boy was done running. Now, he was about to fight back!
