Chapter 344: Arc 18: The Curtain Falls! The Winner, Straw Hat Luffy!

"Let's settle this." Nika!Luffy grinned.

"Since the Gomu power is affecting things other than your own body, I guess I can assume your Paramecia has awakened." Dragon!Kaido commented. "It's a little strange. That kind of transformation is an exclusive feature of the Zoan type. What's the deal with that Gomu Gomu Fruit?" he charged straight for the bouncing Nika!Luffy and swallowed him in one gulp.

"It's dark and stuffy in here." Nika!Luffy complained. "Muscle power!" he bulked himself up to force Dragon!Kaido's jaw open, only to be swallowed by the Yonkou.

"Nika-nii-sama!" Sasha shouted.

Falling inside Dragon!Kaido's body, Nika!Luffy started bouncing about the dragon's innards. "Gomu Gomu no Balloon!" he inflated himself.

"Stop messing around." Dragon!Kaido growled. "Damn you..." he hissed, falling to the ground and still bouncing because of Nika!Luffy. "Take this fight seriously. What's going on?" he found himself in mid-air. "My body is not rubber."

"I see two lights." inside Dragon!Kaido's body. Nika!Luffy spotted a pair of lights ahead." This game is not over." he stretched both arms towards the lights, which turned out to be Dragon!Kaido's eye sockets. "Gomu Gomu no Escape Rocket!" grabbing onto the dragon's nostrils and forcing the beat's mouth open, Nika!Luffy propelled himself out, the force sending him flying into the clouds. "Gomu Gomu no Giant..." he stretched out a leg at the incoming Dragon!Kaidou who dodged the kick and closed his jaws on Nika!Luffy's shoulder. "Screw you." he leveled a punch across Dragon!Kaidou's cheek, freeing himself before grabbing both ends of the dragon and using him as a jumping rope.

"Bola Breath!" Dragon!Kaidou was not one to take such insult without retaliation, the energy beam sending Nika!Luffy flying off.

"Unforgivable." Nika!Luffy sped back into the fight. "Gomu Gomu no..."

"Conqueror of Three Worlds, Ragnaraku!" Hybrid!Dragon shot straight into Nika!Luffy's face, the attack sending the rubberman's head through the ground. "It was an interesting show." he admitted. "But aren't you reaching your limit, after all? You can't take me down."

"I'm nowhere near my limit." Nika!Luffy grinned.

"Not near your limit, my foot." Sasha muttered, seeing Nika!Luffy reverted back to normal Luffy.

"Selena, get back." Luffy instructed. "it's not over yet. We can't put an end to it yet."

"Nika-nii-sama..." Sasha breathed, seeing Luffy change into his Nika!Luffy form.

"You'll die." Hybrid!Kaidou stated.

"Do you think I'm afraid of that?" Nika!Luffy fired back. "Beat loudly, heartbeat." he let loose an energy wave.

"Bring it on." Hybrid!Kaidou accepted the challenge.

Crouching on all fours, Nika!Luffy gave the ground a rubber-like characteristic and shot towards Hybrid!Kaido. Totally unfazed by Kaidou's sudden attack with his kanabo, he sped forward, only to have Kaido catch up with in a single leap and slam the spiked mace on Nika!Luffy's head. However, with the ground taking on the Gomu Gomu Fruit's rubber-like characteristic, the attack was repelled and Nika!Luffy shot up into the air. "Come follow me." he lured Kaido to attack him and using the rubber-like ground, he dodged another of Kaidou's kanabo strike. "Gomu Gomu no Counterblow." he grabbed onto the elastic ground that flew with him and flung the entire strip of earth at Kaido. darting down like a pinball, Nika!Luffy shot out of the stretch of earth and hitting Kaido in the stomach. The reflective properties of the rubber earth then fired both combatants out.

Using the boulder he landed on as a springboard, Nika!Luffy renewed his attack, slamming a fist straight into Kaido's face.

"When your mind and body catch up to your power, Awakening occurs." Hybrid!Kaido related. "How ridiculous is your power. I've already lost so much. I've lost so much of what I've built: my subordinates and castle. You've lost a lot, too."

"Even if it's true, there are things we have to take back." Sasha declared.

"You'll lose even more." Hybrid!Kaido promised, powering up his Conqueror's Haki. "Because I'll take everything from you. Kundali Dragon Swarm!" he let loose a barrage of Armament Haki-infused strikes at Nika!Luffy.

"Screw you." Nika!Luffy let his own barrage of punches fly.

"Oh no." Sasha gasped, when a pillar of fire shot up from below. "The floors and the castle are all on fire. Everyone... they're still down there."

"Don't underestimate them, Sasha." Nika!Luffy assured. "We left everything below in their hands." with that, he renewed his charge at Hybrid!Kaido.

"Demolition Gust." Hybrid!Kaido fired off an energy blade at Nika!Luffy who stretched both legs up to dodge the attack.

"It almost hit my crotch." Nika!Luffy whined.

"That's what you focus on?" Sasha exclaimed.

Using the elastic characteristic of the ground, Nika!Luffy bounced over Kaido's head and launched himself into the air. "I have an idea." he shot towards the thunderclouds. Reaching his hands upwards, he grabbed onto a lightning bolt. "Gomu Gomu no Lightning." he threw the lightning bolt at Kaido.

"You mean you can grab lightning?" Hybrid!Kaido shot up towards Nika!Luffy, having dodged the electric projectile. "How absurd." he stopped short when five lightning streaks shot down from the sky, Nika!Luffy was using the lightning field to launch his rain of punches at Kaido.

"Gomu Gomu no..." Nika!Luffy readied his next kick, only to be struck back by Hybrid!Kaido's kanabo. "You bastard." he grabbed onto one of the protruding boulders and swung back into the fight, the delivered kick to the stomach enabled him to continue his attack as he grabbed Kaido by his extended legs and flung him through several boulders, before sending Kaido back to the ground with a swift kick.

Taking advantage of the elasticity of the ground, Hybrid!Kaido bounced back into the air, blasting Nika!Luffy away with a 'Bolo Breath'.

Nika!Luffy grabbed onto a lighting thread and shot back into the fight, Hybrid!Kaido blocking the incoming kick with his arm before sending Luffy back to the thunderclouds. Grabbing onto the lightning, he jumped back into the fight, raining numerous thunderbolts at Kaido.

"You can play around all you want." Kaido droned. "But a Devil Fruit power will never conquer the world." he snuck behind Nika!Luffy and stuck him back to the ground. "It's amazing how things work." he followed after Luffy who had bounced back into the air. "Just like how Roger was not a Devil Fruit power user, only Haki can trump all else. Destroyer of Death: Thunder Bagua! What?" he was stunned to see Luffy's outstretched hand grab onto his chest, the rubberman then proceeded to draw him into the thunderclouds. "Dragon Twister Demolition Breath." Hybrid!Kaido changed back into his dragon form and let loose a barrage of energy blades with the tornado. "Your vulnerability to cutting attacks hasn't changed." he followed up with a 'Bolo Breath'.

"Kaido, let's finish this!" the now gigantified Nika!Luffy struck down at Dragon!Kaido with a punch.

"Bring it on." Kaido accepted the challenge and engulfed himself in flames, the heat forcing Nika!Luffy to withdraw his hand. "You don't have to grab me. I'm not gonna run away. Flame Dragon Torch. You're not going to throw that right hand because you're going to melt away." a single swipe of his flaming tail sliced one of the Onigashima's skull horns off. Without any warning, he fired off his flaming breath at his opponent.

"I'm not going to melt." Nika!Luffy emerged unscathed from the breath attack. "I'm going to knock you down to the abyss."

"Rising Dragon!" Fire Dragon!Kaido charged in.

"Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gun!" Nika!Luffy released his punch.

"Flame Bagua!" Fire Dragon!Kaido fired his attack. "You did great." he fired off another breath attack to break off the stalemate.

"Absolute Zero: Ice Chain Bonding." Fire Dragon!Kaido found himself trapped in a web of ice chains, the incredibly low temperatures extinguishing his flames.

"Thanks, Selena." Nika!Luffy shouted, enlarging his fist and slamming the punch down on Dragon!Kaido. "Get out of Wano!"

"What kind of world can you create?" Dragon!Kaido demanded.

"I want to create the world where my friends can eat as much as they want." Niska!Luffy ended the fight with one final punch.

"Ex-quip: Aqua Fairy." Sasha donned on her flight armor and flew to laughing Nika!Luffy's side.

Meanwhile, an exhausted Momonosuke slumped onto the ground, having used his Flame Clouds to shift Onigashima away from Flower Capital.

Elsewhere, a defeated Kaido had reverted back to his human form as he fell through the gaping hole on Onigashima and landing in a magma chamber.

"A battle well-fought, nii-san." Sasha brought Luffy back to the ground, the unconscious pirate had reverted back from his Nika state.

"Good job, Momonosuke." Yamato turned to the tired dragon. "Your efforts and Flame Clouds saved everyone."

"It's not mistake, you guys." Cat Viper had also arrived to the fight's aftermath and pulled out his Smart Tanishi to announce the result of the battle. "Kaido has been sunk deep into the ground by Luffy. Onigashima's plummet was stopped by Momonosuke-sama in his giant dragon form. It's been 20 years since that day. This vengeance-filled battle that started when Oden-sama died, we finally won."
