The Crow: Five Nights at Freddy's

Life. Death. The two constants in all existence tied to flesh and blood. So many tales and beliefs surround them. For some, it's the start of a new journey, for others the end. And for those who believe it to be the end, the fear of that leads them to do some horrible, horrible deeds.

Everything comes to an end, sooner or later. But some will delay later for as long as possible, no matter the cost.

And from that, comes one such belief about Death: From America to Europe, it has widely been believed that crows are the carriers of the soul: When one dies, they take them to their respective land of the dead so that they may be at peace or start their new journey.

But sometimes, a soul has endured an injustice so horrid, vile and cruel, that they simply cannot pass on. In cases like that, the crow can and often will allow the soul to return to the land of the living, so that they can make right whatever went wrong.

FNAF

Utah was maybe not the most exciting place in America, but most people liked it that way. After all. After all the recent horror surrounding a pizza chain of all pleces, no one would be blamed for wanting to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Funny thing about wanting to make sure things stay the same and quiet however: It never works for long.

FNAF

'Wake up.'

A quiet yet grizzled voice ordered. A voice they didn't recognize but felt inclined to listen to. They stirred, finding themselves cramped but comfortable in pitch darkness. They tried to move, but their head hit…Wood?

What the heck?!

They pushed on the wood atop their heads. It didn't move at first. They became worried; had they been buried alive?! They banged and clawed on the wood, which thankfully broke…only for dirt, worms and mud to greet their face.

Gagging but fighting through, they punched and tore their way upwards, finally seeing a light! When they stopped, they saw it had been moonlight: It was the dead of night, rain pouring down…and they were in a graveyard.

"What the…?"

They looked behind them. Wait, a TOMBSTONE?! With their name on it?! There were two more graves beside their own

"…No…No, no, no, no!" The newly awoken sobbed as they read the names: their mother and sister.

What?

How?

What did happen?

'Go back.'

Go back?

Back to where?

'You know.'

FNAF

How long it took them they didn't know. But here they were.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. Now closed, but under harder times, judging by the fading paint and broken glass.

They stepped a little closer, memories coming to them:

Warm, tasty and greasy pizza.

Animatronics singing the latest hit songs.

Birthday cakes.

Arcade games.

A child out in the rain.

Another thrown into the mouth of Freddy.

A yellow rabbit with a knife in a darknened room.

They fell to the floor as it dawned on them what was going on:

They were dead. And this resteraunt had a role to play.

To be continued….?

As Halloween month is upon us and the FNAF movie draws closer to release, this odd idea came to me: A crossover between possibly the greatest Indie horror game of all time and the hauntingly beautiful and tragic graphic novel/movie of the 1980's and 90s'; the Crow. Seeing as both die into cruel murder and revenge, I guess it makes sense, right?

However, as I am still maneuvering my way through FNAF lore (is there a video or something I could watch that best explains that), I don't trust myself to do such a concept justice, so I'm posting this here and encouraging any and everyone interested to give a whack at it,

I purposefully tried to keep the identity of the Crow vague, to open up possibilities for writers and readers to come up with ideas.

With that, feel free to adopt and go wild with this story, just give me credit for the idea and let me know when you post!

Stay safe and Happy Halloween!
