Is it Cool that I Said All That? Is it Chill that you're in my Head?

Annabeth woke up with the biggest headache of her life. It felt like her head was being hammered in every direction by jackhammers.

Would a person even survive that? She thought. Probably not.

As she laid in the bed… wait when did she get into bed? And whose bed is she in? She can't remember much of last night. Oh gods what if she got so blackout drunk that she went to bed with a complete stranger. Even worse, what if she hooked up while drunk? What would Percy say?

She pulled the comforter off her face and was relieved when she saw she was in the bedroom of her New Rome apartment.

…When did she get home? She can't remember much after some children of Bacchus challenged her to see who could drink more. Was it foolish to accept the challenge from the children of the wine god? Possibly, but Annabeth was competitive by nature and she would not take a challenge lying down, especially when they started making fun of her for being a daughter of Minerva.

So, Annabeth took shot after shot and really showed those Bachus kids how it's done. Unfortunately all that alcohol went to her blood and mind making her unable to remember what happened afterwards.

She slowly removed the comforter, ignoring the constant throbbing in her head and made her way to the bathroom, looking into the mirror.

Saying she looked bad would be a compliment. Her clothes from last night were crumpled and wrinkled, her hair was all over the place, whoever took her home didn't remove her makeup so it was smeared all over the place. Her eyes were bloodshot and her throat was as dry as a desert.

Hopefully she got some pictures of the Halloween party before things went black.

She liked her costume after all. She dressed as Taylor Swift from her 22 music video (Annabeth wasn't even 22 yet but she liked the outfit). She was dressed in a white t-shirt that said 'Not a lot going on at the moment,' short black shorts that really showed Annabeth's long legs, and a black fedora. Annabeth had also straightened her curly blond hair and applied makeup. She remembered getting plenty of compliments on her outfit. Many people said she looked almost like Taylor so that was a huge compliment.

Piper and Percy also went to the party with her. Piper was dressed as Wonderwoman, but Percy… oh gods. People often said that he looked just like his father, but with the outfit he wore yesterday the resemblance was uncanny. He wore knee length cargo shorts, a floral Tommy Bahama shirt, sandals, and an old fishing hat. He had foregone shaving for the week so he had a light scruffy beard. And to really sell the point, he bought a fishing net and a trident.

If she didn't know better, she would have said that Poseidon himself came to the college Halloween party (some attendants actually thought Neptune came and kneeled, it was pretty funny how Percy got flustered).

Annabeth brushed her teeth and washed her face to get rid of the remainder of her makeup. Her head was still throbbing when she left the bathroom and stepped into the kitchen where Piper was munching on donuts.

"Gooood morning sleeping beauty," Piper sang, "Glad to see that-"

"Don't talk to me right now. I have a massive headache," Annabeth interrupted.

"I would say. You were completely shit faced last night."

"What!? No I wasn't." Annabeth argued.

Piper raised an eyebrow. "Let me show you something." Piper pulled out her phone to a video from last night. In the video Annabeth was dancing… badly. She looked like she was being possessed by some wayward spirit.

"Oh gods," Annabeth muttered, hiding her face in her hands.

"There's also this one," Piper said while swiping to another video. "You really had fun last night."

In the video Annabeth was in front of the Karaoke machine belting out Taylor Swift's 22. "I DoOn't abOUt YOUUUU, But I'M feALing TwENty TWOOOO, EveRYthING WILL be ALrighT, YOUU KeEP me NExt to YOuuuu!" The crowd in the background (and Percy) were hyping her up.

"Oh gods, oh gods," Annabeth breathed. "I can't believe I did that."

"Believe it. You were the life of the party last night. I like how chaotic drunk Annabeth gets."

"I… I can't deal with this right now. My throat is dry, I'm hungry and I have a massive headache."

"Take a seat and I'll bring you some water. Percy left some donuts and left you some ibuprofen before he went to work."

Annabeth complied as Piper bought her a tall glass of water. She took a long drink and then downed the pills. Afterwards, she ate the donuts and she was feeling marginally better. She couldn't believe she got that drunk last night.

"You know," Piper began. "Something really funny happened last night."

"Do I want to know?"

Piper shrugged. "It's up to you. But Percy thought it was funny."

Annabeth's curiosity was starting to burn into her. Curse these Athena tendencies. "Ok, hit me with it."

Piper smirked. "You were flirting with Percy last night."

"...Piper, he's my boyfriend. I'm supposed to flirt with him."

"You asked if he was single and then you cried when he told you he was taken."

"..."

"You almost had a breakdown when he told you."

Annabeth put her head on the table ashamed of her actions. In all her years, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. This was undignified for a child of Athena. "I'm never drinking again," she mumbled.

"Honestly, it was cute. Percy thought it was funny."

"Of course he would think that." She muttered. "Can we talk about something else? How did I even get home?"

Piper's smile brightened, Annabeth knew more bad news was about to be spilled. "Well at around one in the morning you almost passed out and refused to get off the couch. Percy had to carry you back."

"Did I say any more weird things?"

Piper shrugged. "Beats me. I didn't follow you guys. You'll have to ask him about that." She mused. She took another donut out the box. "He called me this morning and asked if I could babysit you. He gave me these donuts as payment."

"Ugh. How am I going to face him?"

"Just talk to him Chase. He thought it was hilarious."

Annabeth changed out of her clothes into more comfortable shorts and t-shirt. Her headache was almost gone and she didn't feel like death anymore. Piper left after she asked if Annabeth would be fine by herself. Annabeth said she would and then Piper left… and she took the rest of the donuts. Ugh.

The jangle of keys at the front door bought her attention away from her tv show. The door opened and in came Percy.

"I'm home," he said. He was wearing dark jeans and a baseball t-shirt that hugged his body maybe a little too well. She tried to look away, but he just looked so good. She couldn't afford to get distracted. He stepped closer and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "How are you feeling? All better? Hope it wasn't too much that I asked Piper to babysit."

"I-uh… yeah, I'm doing better now." She mumbled.

He smiled, "glad to hear it." He stepped into the kitchen where he got some water. "So any plans for today?"

Annabeth shook her head. "No, not really." Percy made his way to sit next to her on the couch. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and she leaned onto his side. He smelled like the ocean and bread. "Percy?"

"What's up?"

"...About last night," she trailed off.

She saw his eyes sparkle mischievously, a smirk starting to cross his face. "What about it?"

"I'm sorry," she apologized. "I didn't mean to get that drunk and put you and Piper through all that trouble."

He started twirling a strand of hair on his fingers. "Honestly Beth, it was fun. Sure you were a pain in the ass, but you were having fun."

"Really?"

"Definitely. You were having the time of your life."

She leaned further into his side. "I promise it won't happen again. You must have felt uncomfortable with your aversion to alcohol and all."

He planted a kiss on the top of her head. "Honestly, I don't mind, just you know… don't take challenges from the Bachus kids again. Those kids know how to party and get drunk."

She pressed a kiss onto his chest. "I got some unexpected wisdom from last night's party."

They were silent for a moment. "You know," he trailed off, that smirk was making its way onto his face again. "You said some very interesting things to me last night."

She looked into his green eyes, sparkling with mirth. "Do I want to know?"

"It's up to you. How badly do you want to be embarrassed?"

She sighed. "Hit me then."

Annabeth's face was probably as red and heated as a hot iron. She was never going to live this down and she knew that Percy would make sure she never forgot.

"So you broke up with me and then offered to get back together in five seconds. Must be a new world record," he laughed. "You said, 'I'm breaking up with my boyfriend so I can get together with you. Do you have a girlfriend? Dump her ass and get together with me.'"

"Oh my gods, shut up!"

"You also said, 'Do you have a big dick? You look like you do. We can go to your place and you can show it to me. Just me and you. How's that sound, Big Boy?'"

Annabeth wanted to bang her head on the wall repeatedly. "Please, just put me out of my misery."

"At one point I thought you were trolling me, but you looked so earnest that I didn't know what to think. You also said, 'I want to have some beautiful green eyed babies with you. What do you say?'"

She buried her face into his chest. "You're never going to let me live this down are you?"

He kissed her. "Nope never. I love you, you know."

"Love you too."

His smirk came back up. "I do love drunk Annabeth though. She's super flirty and horny."

"I'm never get drunk again."

She did in fact not keep that promise.
