Happy Naruto day to everyone! I originally planned to post this once I finished writing chapter 2, but, I figured, I wanted to post something on Naruto's birthday and so, here we are.

Now, this will be a Naruto/Sekirei crossover with some minor Devil May Cry elements. However, whether I add more DMC elements later or more Naruto or whatever will depend on how I feel and how my story goes.

Now, this story will take place after Naruto's fight with Sasuke at Samurai Bridge with some notable differences. Whether in characters, events, or stuff, they will either be noticeable or I will let you know.

Not sure if there is anything else I need to address, but if I think of something, it will be at the Ending note at the bottom, but do not just skip there, as I would like you to enjoy the story first.

Anyway, let's get on with the story!

Chapter 1 A New World and A New Purpose

It was a beautiful night in the city of Shinto Teito, formerly known as Tokyo. The city was the perfect mix of comfort and eerie as the darkness and fog of the night mixed with the lights of the city. It created such a beautiful and yet mysterious atmosphere, that one couldn't help but feel at peace and almost lost in the tranquility of it. Due to the current time, not many people were out and about, however, those that were, are the ones among the night owl groups who thrive at night while everyone else is asleep.

In fact, it is one such young man, who is the focus of this story.

In a park, somewhere within the city, a young man calmly walked while those who passed him gave him varying looks. Men gave him looks that would be given to something thought of as strange. While women would give him looks of lust that would be given to one who has caught their eye, which only increased the looks of anger and jealousy the young man received from various other men.

The young man had shoulder-length, black, spiky hair with a section of his bangs being white. He had cerulean blue eyes with a set of three whisker marks on each cheek that helped accentuate the calm smile on his face. He wore a sleeveless, leather trench coat with a medieval-style gray tunic. He wore black jeans and to finish, a pair of black sandals.

He had a silver chain hanging on the right side of his pants that seemed to glow in the moonlight which led to his pocket while he had a necklace that was tied with a brown cord and had a green gem. Then, in his right hand, was a metal, silver cane that he used as he walked, giving him the air of sophistication. Finally, the thing that really drew people's attention were the various tattoos that could be seen on his body. He had black tattoos all along his arms that extended from his hands all the way past where his shirt cut off visibility to his arms. There were even tattoos along his neck that went down past his shirt with a bit being seen on his chest from the opening his tunic gave.

This was Naruto Uzumaki, former shinobi of Konohagakure, Jinchuriki of Kurama, the Kyuubi no Yoko, and successor to the one known as V.

Looking up towards the sky, his eyes drawn to the full moon that bathed the city in its pale light, Naruto thought back to when he first arrived in this world and when he first met and became the successor to V.

~Flashback, Samurai Bridge~

'I knew Sasuke could never be trusted!' Naruto thought as he slammed into the canyon wall after being thrown by Sasuke.

After he'd arrived, Naruto had to save Sakura once again, this time from Sasuke who was trying to kill her. After that, Kakashi held Sasuke back while Naruto took Sakura to where she had been healing Karin, a family member of Naruto's and an illusioned member of Sasuke's group, "Take." Once he'd done that, Naruto was held back by Sakura, who had begged him to save Sasuke, but Naruto shocked her when he slapped her in the face and yelled at her, "Do you think this is a game, Sakura!? All these years, training with Tsunade, bettering yourself, were they all just so you could throw them away and fall back into the same useless person you were when we were kids!?"

Of course, Sakura had been shocked that Naruto, the one who used to follow her around like a love-struck puppy, had not only hit her, but was yelling at and scolding her. Something she never expected to happen, believing he would never do this. Sakura was about to shout back at him but was stopped when he said, "Nearly killed and still the same fangirl you've always been. I don't know why I ever disguised myself as Sasuke to cheer you up."

After that, Sakura stayed silent due to shock while Naruto stared at Sasuke from the bridge with Sasuke standing on the surface of the river. From there, Naruto summoned a sword he had been given by his kenjutsu teacher, Yugao, upon his "graduation" as her student. It was a regular katana that had a red blade with a black back and a black handle with a fox charm tied at the end and the guard being styled like a fox head with the blade coming from the mouth. Naruto and Sasuke had then launched themselves at each other with Sasuke using the kunai he'd taken from Sakura while Kakashi got out of the way.

Now, Naruto and Sasuke had reached the climax of their fight, with Naruto having lost his sword at some point and Sasuke throwing away the kunai, as they were charging their signature techniques. Sasuke with his black chidori after activating his curse mark while Naruto formed a Wind Style: Rasengan.

The two were now running towards each other with their respective signature attacks. Sasuke, wielding his Chidori in his hand, while Naruto was charging with his Rasengan. The two were charging at each other, both with the intent to kill the other. Once the two were close enough, they launched their attacks while shouting,

"CHIDORI!"

"RASENGAN!"

The two attacks clashed against each other, with Naruto staring into Sasuke's eyes, surprising Sasuke as Naruto's eyes showed just as much hate and anger as his. Naruto then began to channel all the chakra he had, as his Rasengan now began to shine white and the rotations began to speed up to almost blinding speeds as he not only destroyed Sasuke's Chidori, but caused Sasuke's arm to rapidly twist before getting torn off.

BOOOM!

Due to the amount of clashing chakra, instead of creating an orb of energy like the two previously experienced, this time, it was just an explosion due to the amount of power. Said explosion blew the two apart with Naruto slamming into the wall of the canyon again, while Sasuke slammed into the other side. While Kakashi, Sakura, and the now awake Karin shielded their eyes from the power of the blast.

Sasuke flinched as he felt intense pain all over his body, with the pain being the most intense at his left shoulder, while he couldn't feel his arm. When he looked, he saw what was now a missing arm and that he was heavily bleeding. Angry at the injuries and now being a cripple, he slowly turned back to Naruto, but his eyes widened at what he witnessed.

Laying against the wall, in the indent created by his body, was Naruto. However, sticking out of his chest, was a metal pole as the rocks around him fell away, revealing it was a cane while a large, misshapen hand held the handle.

"BLURGH!"

Naruto coughed up a glob of blood as he grabbed the cane, trying to pull it out. Naruto struggled, feeling as his blood spilled out around the cane and even from his mouth. One minute, he and Sasuke were fighting, with Naruto realizing that Sasuke was too dangerous to bring back alive. Then, all of a sudden, a metal pole was sticking out of his chest. Finally, everything went black.

However, as Naruto's eyes closed, he was consumed in a column of blinding purple light, causing Sakura, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Karin to shield their eyes. After a minute, the column of light began dying down, before it disappeared completely, revealing Naruto was no longer there, shocking Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura, and Karin.

"No!"/"No!" came a shout as everyone saw the spy of the Akatsuki, Zetsu, looking angry while behind him was a familiar orange mask wearing individual.

"Retrieve Sasuke, Zetsu!" "Madara" exclaimed as he disappeared while Zetsu sank into the ground and then grabbed Sasuke before disappearing as well. The leaf Jonin and Chunin, as well as, the now former member of Take couldn't believe it. Not only was Sasuke taken from right in front of them, but Naruto was gone as well.

~Flashback end~

Naruto couldn't help but think back to how, after getting stabbed by the cane he currently held, he had come into contact with the previous owner of the cane.

A man by the name of V.

V told Naruto of his life, however short it was. How he was the human half to a half-devil known as Vergil who had separated himself in the hopes of gaining enough power from his human half and his devil half to be powerful enough to defeat his brother, Dante.

However, V had not expected his devil half to have been defeated before it could gain the power needed to potentially defeat Dante.

V went on to explain how, after his devil half's defeat, the leftover demonic power transferred back to him, supporting his decaying body. Now, instead of the few hours he had left, he'd been able to live for a few months.

V even told Naruto how, during those months, he revealed the truth to Dante, and his son, Nero. How he was Vergil, but now, he was mostly human and only had a few months to live and wished to make amends. He mentioned how the duo, and their compatriots, Lady, Trish, and Nico were all suspicious of him, but it was Nero who gave him a chance. V told of his joy in reconnecting with his family, living a life where he wasn't obsessed with gaining power.

He even told Naruto how his family held a party for his last few hours instead of a funeral, not wanting his last moments to be sad, but instead, full of love.

In the end, V told Naruto that he'd seen how Naruto knew of pain, and even love, but that he still lacked the skills needed to better prove himself. He told Naruto that when he was stabbed by his cane, his body was flooded with his demonic energy and was slowly adapting, changing him to become more like V, giving him access to his abilities as V, and maybe even as Vergil.

He mentioned how Naruto would have access to Griffon, Shadow, and Nightmare, but that it would take some time before he could summon them due to the fact that his demonic energy had been dormant for so long.

With that message, V disappeared, wishing him luck as the last of his energy disappeared, merging with Naruto, completing the transformation as Naruto appeared in this new world, the cane no longer embedded in his stomach, but now resting comfortably in his hand.

That had been twenty years ago, with Naruto discovering that the combination of demonic energy and his Uzumaki genes caused his aging to slow down to a snail's pace.

How did Naruto figure this out?

It'd been twenty years since he'd come to this world, making him thirty-eight years old, however, despite his age, he looked to only be eighteen. Naruto had not only been shocked by this development, but also saddened. It was not enough that he had been sent to a different world, but he also realized that he would outlive everyone around him. Not that it mattered since he knew that everyone back home had most likely grown up and had families of their own by now, or were all dead due to the rising war.

On the other hand, this also made him excited as he'd be able to see humanity grow for as long as he lived. Or until he found a way back to his world, whichever came first.

Anyway, getting back to the present, Naruto was walking through the city known as Shinto Teito, formerly known as Tokyo, and the new capital of Japan. Naruto had finally returned to Shinto Teito after he'd left a few years ago so that he could travel the world. He left so that he'd be able to learn more about the world and to make a name for himself. Now, he had succeeded and he had returned because he had promised some people that he would and not only did he always keep his promises, but he was rather excited to see them again.

However, Naruto frowned when he remembered that he had arrived at night, and he didn't know whether they were asleep or not, so he opted to simply wait until tomorrow. While disappointed, Naruto hadn't stayed like that for long as he decided to take a stroll through the city, or as much as he could cover in one night to start refamiliarizing himself before he went back home.

As Naruto arrived at an open area in the park, he suddenly felt an intense wave of pain, sadness, and despair thanks to his ability to sense negative emotions. Closing his eyes, Naruto focused, trying to sense which direction he was feeling these emotions. It took him a minute to focus and drown out all the other emotions he was feeling, but eventually, he managed to pinpoint where the source was. With that thought, Naruto was about to begin heading in that direction, but then picked up something else. A group full of negative emotions with one being an overwhelming sense of greed, heading to where he'd sensed the source of all that pain.

Not wanting anything to happen, Naruto picked up his pace to a light jog, as he could tell the other group were far enough to give him time to meet the source of this pain and despair. However, he'd have to be quick, as he could tell they were closing in, and if he didn't get there first, he didn't want to imagine what would happen.

~At the Source of Despair~

While Naruto hurried to beat the group to the source, we find that the source is a lovely and beautiful young woman with shoulder-length, light-brown hair that seemed to turn almost silver in the moonlight. She had beautiful, grayish-blue eyes that were only enhanced due to the blank expression she had and all she had on was a white, button-up shirt and a blood-stained lab coat.

This was Former Sekirei Number Seven, now known as the "Scrapped Number" or "Broken Sekirei," the Ice Sekirei, Akitsu. This status was known due to the mark of a wagtail with a Yin-Yang symbol underneath it on her forehead.

Originally, Akitsu was a normal Sekirei, just like the rest, waiting for the chance to meet her destined one. Her Ashikabi. However, due to a combination of Minaka's horrible experiments and her adjuster wanting to wing her to him, a non-Ashikabi, something went wrong. Because of the experiments and her adjuster's greed, instead of being winged to a human, she winged herself, causing her to become a Broken Sekirei. After that, she killed the adjuster for what he'd done in a fit of anger, sadness, and despair, before escaping MBI with the clothes she had on, stained from the blood of the adjuster she'd killed.

After she'd made her escape, Akitsu had found herself at the park, where she sat on a bench, holding her legs close to her and decided that she'd stay on the bench, hoping for a Sekirei and their Ashikabi to come along and deactivate her. She would put up a bit of a fight, if only to not wound the Sekirei's pride, before allowing herself to be deactivated. For now, however, she was content to simply wait and stare at, what might be, her final full moon.

She knew that because of what happened, she would never be able to find or get winged by her Ashikabi. Her destined one. However, despite this, despite the impossibility, she didn't want to lose hope. She didn't want to give up the lingering bit of hope that her Ashikabi could be out there, waiting for her. Even before she became broken, she felt herself reacting to her Ashikabi, wherever they were.

But now?

She had no hope of ever reacting to them again, forever losing that chance of finding them. She'd tried to stay positive, even through the experiments. As she felt Minaka and her dead adjuster slowly weakened her reaction, she never lost hope. However, it wasn't until she could no longer feel herself reacting in the slightest, that she'd given up. So now, Akitsu decided to sit here, waiting for the chance to get deactivated, to end her nightmare.

As Akitsu was staring at the moon, she was drawn from her thoughts by the sound of footsteps and tapping. Turning her head, Akitsu saw a handsome, young man with black hair, white bangs, and was walking towards her with a cane and a smile. Akitsu knew that this wasn't a Sekirei, as she'd never seen him before, and she knew that the only male Sekirei was Mutsu.

"Hello there, what are you doing here on this beautiful night?" Naruto asked before noticing her attire, or lack thereof, "And so lightly dressed?"

"Ah… I am broken. Escaped from ones who did this to me," Akitsu said as she looked at Naruto.

Naruto frowned as he saw even more similarities between this girl and Haku with how she also referred to herself as broken. He had hated it when Haku referred to herself as broken, and he hated it now when this girl did the same.

Moving closer, Naruto kneeled in front of her before he said, "That can't be true, no one can ever be truly broken. Why don't you tell me what's wrong along with your name? Who knows? Maybe I can help you."

"Ah… I am Akitsu… the Ice Sekirei, Former number seven. I cannot be winged," Akitsu told Naruto dully, as she didn't like reminding herself of what had happened to her.

Naruto blinked in surprise at what she said, "Winged?" He asked, wanting her to elaborate on why she said this.

Akitsu was about to reply, thinking this was just a normal human who had no clue what he had stumbled upon but was interrupted by an arrogant sounding voice, "There she is, Mutsu! The scrapped number! Hurry! We can't let such a unique piece get taken by someone else!" exclaimed a boy who, judging by the voice, was roughly fifteen years old. That told Naruto he was just hitting puberty and was dressed in fancy clothing befitting a son of a wealthy family.

A wealthy and spoiled brat who clearly never had to work a day in his life to get what he wanted.

It reminded Naruto of Sasuke and the Uchiha Clan in general and Naruto hated Sasuke after realizing how far gone he was.

"Mutsu?" Naruto questioned as he tilted his head a bit, gaining a curious look from Akitsu while Naruto stood and turned around to see the same silver-haired, scarf-wearing swordsman he remembered from when he first arrived in this world.

"I apologize, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask that you step away from-!" Mutsu started as he placed a hand on his sword, however, he stopped when the person he was addressing turned around. Mutsu remembered those tattoos, even if he couldn't see them all right now, and those blue eyes that he still had nightmares of.

Naruto smirked, "Mutsu, it is you!" he said as he smiled at Mutsu, though, to Mikogami and Akitsu, they were confused when they saw Mutsu begin to shake.

"N-Naruto! What are you doing here?" Mutsu said, slightly stuttering in fear at remembering the only human to have ever crossed swords with the "Hound of MBI" and put her in her place.

"Well~," Naruto drawled out as he began calmly spinning his cane while slowly moving towards Mutsu, "I just so happened to decide that I've been away from Tokyo, or Shinto Teito as it's now called, since that idiot Minaka purchased the entire city, long enough and I wanted to return. I just recently returned, though at night unfortunately, and decided to take a stroll throughout the city before heading to work tomorrow and came across Akitsu-chan here. Now, since it's my turn to ask a question, you wouldn't happen to be trying to forcibly wing Akitsu here or take her against her will, were you, Mutsu-chan~?"

Mutsu shivered as Naruto called him "-chan," remembering the last time he'd called him that was after Mutsu had made a stupid comment and gotten his head shoved into a wall.

"N-No, of course not!" Mutsu swiftly answered, getting a stupified look from Mikogami and a surprised look from Akitsu, or at least as surprised as she can look, before Mutsu replied, "I was going to talk to her and try to convince her to come with us since Mikogami-sama desires her."

Not losing his smile, Naruto closed his eyes as he hummed, before turning to look at Mikogami, mentally comparing Mikogami to Sasuke and almost seeing a resemblance if not for the different eye and hair color and style of clothing.

"Alright, I guess I don't have to intervene," Mutsu sighed in relief, feeling like he just dodged a bullet while Akitsu was slightly sad and, for some reason, hurt that Naruto wouldn't try to defend her and gave up so easily. However, neither were prepared when Naruto asked, "Though, I am curious, why exactly do you want her, little boy?"

Mutsu froze as his eyes went wide along with Akitsu's. Mutsu because he knew exactly how Mikogami would answer while Akitsu was surprised by Naruto's question, curious to know where he was going with this.

Mutsu tried to subtly tell Mikogami to not reply, but unfortunately, he was too late as Mikogami arrogantly said, "Because she is unique! I already have quite a few Sekirei in my collection, but she is the most unique because she's 'broken!' There's never been a more unique or rarer piece like her!"

Mutsu gritted his teeth while fearful looking towards Naruto, still seeing that smile on his face, while Akitsu was saddened to be considered an object. Before Mutsu could even attempt to berate Mikogami or talk to Naruto, not sure which he should do first, the entire area was suddenly filled with an immense pressure that had Mutsu falling to his knees and Mikogami falling unconscious. However, Akitsu only felt safe as both Akitsu and Mutsu looked and saw Naruto was no longer smiling and a dark blueish aura was slowly starting to come off Naruto's body.

Unknown to the group, those conscious at least, but the sudden pressure didn't go unnoticed as the park was being monitored due to Akitsu being there.

~Meanwhile at MBI~

Alarms were blaring, people were running around, and it could only be assumed to be complete chaos as nobody knew what was happening. Everything had been going fine until just now! One minute, they were monitoring the park where Akitsu was, and suddenly, their sensors began to explode as something foreign had entered the park and was exuding a ludicrous amount of energy!

Suddenly, the door opened and the scientists knew this had to be one of two people who could help put things in order.

"Shut up!"

Unfortunately, it just so happened to be the person who took no shit from anyone, except for one person, and would put any of them through a wall if they so much as looked at her funny. Said woman was a beautiful woman with grey, shoulder-length hair and grey eyes. She was wearing a white, button-up shirt, that did very little to hide her impressive D-cup breasts, a black tie, black pants, a standard white lab coat, and black shoes.

This was Takami Sahashi, Head Researcher, and the one in charge of the Sekirei Plan, besides Minaka, at MBI.

"Now, what's going on!?" Takami exclaimed, her tone demanding no bullshit.

"We don't know! We were monitoring the park where former number seven, Akitsu, currently is, when suddenly, a massive spike in some type of foreign energy was picked up! The energy was so dense, it caused the sensors to explode! We were just lucky enough to quickly adjust the parameters before we lost them all," a random scientist explained to Takami, getting her to hum as she narrowed her eyes.

"Bring up satellite footage of the park in real-time!" Takami ordered, getting a few scientists to return to their stations and pull up an image on the screen.

"We've got footage!" A scientist exclaimed before they all saw Akitsu, Mutsu, an unconscious Mikogami, and a strange male with an aura that was visible even through the cameras.

"Who is that!?" Takami shouted, trying to figure out what is going on.

However, Takami didn't receive an answer from a scientist.

"He's back."

Turning around, Takami was greeted by the sight of two beautiful women standing at the door looking at the screen. One had pale skin, long, light-gray hair tied in a ponytail, and gray, narrow eyes. She wore a tight black leather top, a miniskirt with a brown leather belt fastened around her waist, black shoes, and stockings with a gray haori that hung on her shoulders. The other had fair skin, brown, hime-style hair with an ahoge, and soft brown eyes. She was also wearing the same outfit as the other woman, but the only difference was the gloves she had on which had the number "08" on the back of them.

"Yume, Karasuba, you know this man?" Takami asked the two members of the Disciplinary Squad since it had been Karasuba who had answered her earlier question.

Yume smiled, "Of course we do, and so do you."

Takami gained a confused look, "I do?"

Karasuba and Yume chuckled with Karasuba saying, "Now Takami, don't tell me you've already forgotten the personal assistant you hired who asked for some time to travel the world~?"

Takami blinked at Karasuba's question, as she didn't understand what Karasuba was talking about, but then it hit her like a train as Takami's eyes widened.

"No! That's him!?" Takami asked, disbelief heavily present in her voice.

Yume and Karasuba both smiled as they nodded their heads with Karasuba saying, "Like I said, 'he's back.'"

Takami, upon hearing this, turned around, "I want a vehicle ready to take me to the park, and steady updates on the situation!" She ordered, getting the scientists back in motion while Takami turned around and began walking out the door with Yume and Karasuba following her, already knowing Takami wasn't going to stop them. The two were excited, after all.

It's been years since they've seen the one who would become their Ashikabi.

~Back at the park~

It had been about five minutes since Naruto started letting his aura run wild, and Mutsu had practically lost all color. Keeping his aura up for another few seconds, Naruto called it back, before looking down at Mutsu, his eyes glowing while his face was shadowed, reminding Mutsu, who was barely conscious, just who it was that truly gave him nightmares

Crouching down, Naruto lightly gripped Mutsu's hair as he forced him to look up, "The next time I see you, if you try to force another Sekirei or forcefully take them to Mikogami, I will take you down and deactivate you myself. Now, take the child and leave."

With that, Naruto let go of Mutsu's hair, and Mutsu couldn't leave fast enough as he swiftly grabbed the unconscious Mikogami and began running.

Naruto watched as Mutsu ran, sensing no one else in the immediate vicinity, he began to relax as he sighed and turned back to Akitsu, who was looking at him in surprise, "Now, what was this about 'being broken?'"

Akitsu looked at Naruto, remembering how she felt during the entire time he was confronting Mikogami and Mutsu, and was confident, if she hadn't been broken, Naruto would be the one she would be reacting to. Blinking at his question, Akitsu responded, "Ah… something happened. Stops me… from finding… destined one."

Naruto frowned, "Hmm, well now, that doesn't sound good. Is there any way to reverse it?"

Akitsu frowned as she looked down in sadness and replied, "Ah… no."

Naruto frowned, as he thought about it, but was brought out of his thoughts when she started, "Ah… but, I think… you are… my destined one."

Naruto was surprised as he asked, "What makes you think that, Akitsu-chan?"

Akitsu brought her hands to her chest as she lightly gripped them and smiled softly, "Ah… felt safe, hurt, and happy when you were talking. Handling Ashikabi of the South, protecting me, made me happy. Thinking you were giving up made me sad and hurt. Your energy made me feel safe. I know, if I was not broken, you would be the one I react to."

Naruto blinked in surprise, as he figured the girl to be one who didn't talk very much judging by how she'd been talking to him for a while. So for her to talk so much must mean she was very serious about this.

Naruto smiled and said, "Well, I guess we can always double-check by fixing you up."

Akitsu gave him a surprised look as she asked, "Ah… you can fix me?"

Naruto was about to answer, but before he did, he sensed more people behind as he suddenly heard, "Please, do elaborate on how you plan to 'fix' Akitsu, Naruto?"

Recognizing the voice, even if it has been twenty years, Naruto turned around and was greeted by a familiar face, even if her hair was a different color now.

"Takami! It's good to see you again! You look as beautiful as when we first met," Naruto said before he suddenly appeared before Takami, surprising Akitsu, as Naruto seemed to look Takami over, making her feel a bit self-conscious, "In fact, I dare say that you're even more beautiful than when we first met. You actually look much better now than when your hair was black all those years ago."

Takami, who normally didn't let such flattery get to her, couldn't stop the light blush that dusted her cheeks when Naruto complimented her. Normally, she would ignore Minaka's attempts at flattery and trying to get in her pants, but for some reason, it was different from Naruto.

While Takami was pulling herself together, Naruto then spotted the other two behind Takami and calmly walked towards them until he was standing in front of them.

"Yume-chan, Karasuba-chan, it's great to see you again," Naruto said softly as he smiled at them and they both launched themselves at him and hugged him as tightly as they could, and due to being Sekirei, with Yume also being a Fist-type, they could hold him extremely tight.

"It's good to see you two as well," Naruto replied as he hugged them back, happy to see the two. Letting them go, he could see their faces were flush, with Yume panting heavily and was rubbing her thighs together while Karasuba was just breathing a little heavier, though, he could see she was shaking just a little.

"So, Takami, you were wondering how I planned to help Akitsu-chan here?" Naruto asked Takami, helping to break her from her thoughts as she used this to compose herself by getting into "work mode."

"Yes, I was, since from what I know, and I know a lot, whatever Minaka and the other idiot who did this did, it's not reversible," Takami said, angry that she hadn't been there to stop Minaka or the other scientist when they did whatever it was to Akitsu.

Naruto chuckled as he said, "Well, maybe by normal means, it's not, but I'm not normal in the slightest. What I plan to do is first find out what's going on inside, and then, if this turns out to be similar to a mental barrier, I'm just going to break it down."

Naruto then a finger to his lips as he said, "Though, I think we should go somewhere else since I would prefer privacy from prying eyes."

Understanding that Naruto didn't want to reveal much more of his abilities to Minaka, Takami nodded her head and asked, "You got a place in mind?" Turning, she saw the vehicle that brought her, Yume, and Karasuba to the park was gone, "And a way to get there?"

Naruto chuckled and said, "Sure, as a matter of fact, my car is nearby and we can go to my home."

With that, Naruto took off his coat and handed it to Akitsu, "Here, so that you can better cover yourself while we walk through the park."

Accepting his coat, Akitsu noticed how warm it was and couldn't help but snuggle into the coat as she smiled. Yume and Karasuba noticed the Ice Sekirei's reaction and couldn't help smile, or smirk in Karasuba's case, as they knew how Akitsu probably felt. Even if she couldn't have a proper reaction, they knew that she would probably have a feeling that Naruto was her Ashikabi, he just had an air about him that drew in Sekirei.

After about a minute, the four finally made it to the street where Naruto took out a pair of keys and unlocked the car, that had Takami, Yume, Karasuba, and Akitsu blinking in surprise. The car before them was a solid, matte black GT350R Ford Mustang. It didn't have much for decals or extra but it had a touch of red where the lights were and then a tail fan.

They didn't stare at the car for long and soon entered with Takami being in the passenger seat and the three Sekirei sitting in the back. While they were on their way, Akitsu had fallen asleep since she was exhausted and Yume decided to pass the time by talking.

"So, Naruto-sama, what have you been doing since we last saw you?" Yume asked, wanting to know what her prospective Ashikabi has been up to, with Karasuba and Takami wanting to know the same.

"Well," Naruto began, "Since I've been gone, I've traveled around the world learning different skills, from cooking, sewing, and various other ones. I even took on a few jobs so that I can earn money to support myself and anyone I wing."

"What kind of jobs did you do?" Karasuba asked, wanting to know what he did.

"Well, I published the books my Godfather gave me the rights to. Though, I made some edits before publishing since he only wrote pure smut. I did some modeling jobs and still have some contracts, there's that. Oh! I'm even a part-time musician and technician for bands," Naruto said, getting some surprised looks from them until Yume remembered something and pulled out a phone she had before pulling up an image.

"Wait, so this is you!?"

She had pulled up a photo of Naruto when he was modeling a winter clothing line. He had been wearing a pair of brown boots, grey pants and a coat, and a black scarf.

Naruto nodded after getting a quick look at the photo, "Yup, that's me, I took that about a year or two ago when I was traveling in America."

They nodded their heads, except for the sleeping Akitsu, surprised he was a model, but then Karasuba said, "That's nice and all, but I was thinking more along the lines of your darker job, you know? The one you told us you used to do before arriving? I highly doubt someone like you wouldn't want to keep his skills sharp, so? What'd you do?"

Knowing what she was talking about, Naruto said, "You're right, I wouldn't want my skills to dull so I took up jobs in the underworld of this world. More specifically, assassinations or straight destruction where I would take down large criminal enterprises or high-risk targets. Built-up quite a name for myself too. Maybe you've heard of the 'Phantom Reaper?'"

Hearing the name, Karasuba, Yume, and Takami went wide-eyed at the name, since for two of them, because it was their job to enforce the rules and keep the Sekirei safe, they needed to know as much about the criminal underworld as they could find as possible. Takami knew this since she would often help Yume and Karasuba look up the info they couldn't find and because she also needed to know who to set up face recognition for.

While Takami and Yume were reeling from this information, Karasuba simply smirked and said, "I knew my destined one wouldn't be anything other than number one. Even in the underworld."

Naruto simply smirked at Karasuba from the mirror, before he focused on driving while they all had a comfortable silence. Eventually, they made it to the Northern section of Shinto Teito, worrying Takami since she knew of another individual in the North who was very strict about MBI's involvement in the North. She knew Naruto knew this too since he had been there to set up the plot of land where said individual resided.

However, Takami's face went completely pale when Naruto slowly pulled up to a house in a specific neighborhood.

That just happened to be across the street from MAISON IZUMO!

Turning to Naruto, Takami exclaimed, "What are we doing here!?"

Naruto, knowing exactly why Takami was acting like this, simply smirked, "What do you mean? This is my house," he said as he waved to the house that was right across from Maison Izumo.

Takami's eyebrow was beginning to rapidly twitch, while Yume and Karasuba smiled in amusement and climbed out before Naruto picked up the sleeping Akitsu in a princess carry while she snuggled into him.

"Besides, what's the problem?" Naruto "innocently" asked, fully aware of why Takami was freaking out.

Takami was gritting her teeth at this point, "The problem is that MBI made a deal with a certain widow that we would stay out of the North and that we would keep any and all Ashikabi away from the North. Now, here you are, not only with a house in the North but directly across from said widow's establishment!" she exclaimed, practically seething since she knew that Naruto most likely did this on purpose.

"Well," Naruto began as he walked inside the gate with the others following to see that the house was a traditional Japanese-style house that looked to be three stories tall with a large, open yard that also had a section that led to a back area, "First of all, I'm only a prospective Ashikabi, I'm not officially one yet. Second, even if she had an issue with me moving here after I become an official Ashikabi, you should know very well that there is nothing Miya can do to me that I can't shrug off and dish out tenfold. After all, I was the one who kept her pride and arrogance in check from being known as Sekirei number one."

Okay, she had to give him that one. Takami was there when Naruto had helped protect Kamikura Island during the various attempted invasions, even when Miya, during the time she was part of the Disciplinary Squad, was kind of an arrogant bitch. She remembered how Naruto had stepped in to help when Miya almost got hit by a rocket that had been shot at her turned back and how Miya had told him that she didn't need help from a "weak, pathetic human."

Safe to say, Naruto had not been happy that day and had sent Miya flying with a solid right hook.

Since then, Miya had challenged Naruto every chance she got, trying to get a win over him in order so that she could reclaim her pride, but every time, Naruto simply handed her ass to her again and again. It got to the point Miya wouldn't even challenge Naruto and she would just come flying at him to try and catch him off-guard, but it never worked. Miya had even told Karasuba a lie that Naruto was gay and he would reject her, after finding out said Sekirei was reacting to Naruto, to try and weaken Naruto to take him down.

This time, Naruto had thoroughly put both Miya and Karasuba in their places, even correcting the lie that he was gay. He hadn't been happy when his masculinity and choice in love interest was put into question back in his original world, so there was no way he was going to be happy if it was done here!

"Anyway," Naruto said, as he opened the door and allowed them all inside to see that it was quite spacious with two sectional couches, a coffee table, and even a few recliners. Naruto then gently placed Akitsu on a couch as he made sure she was comfortable, "Getting back to the present issue, Akitsu-chan needs to get a check-up, since I doubt she's received one after she escaped. She'll also need food, water, and rest before I can even think of doing anything to fix her."

Takami, Yume, and Karasuba were glad that Akitsu would be able to get fixed, though Yume felt the need to mention something.

"You know she'll probably want you to be her Ashikabi," Yume said as more of a statement than a question.

Naruto nodded, "I know, and if she truly believes I am her Ashikabi and wants me to be her Ashikabi, then I will."

Naruto then gently shook Akitsu's shoulder, "Akitsu-chan, I need you to wake up now, okay?"

Akitsu began to stir as she opened her eyes to see the one who took her in and, from how he talked, would be the one to help her, "Ah… Naruto-sama?" She muttered as she rubbed an eye in a cute manner.

Karasuba, upon hearing this, couldn't help but chuckle, "Wow, look at you. Not even fixed or winged yet and you've already got Akitsu here calling you '-sama.'"

Naruto simply looked at Karasuba with a "really?" look, while Akitsu began to blush, since, while she knew he wasn't technically her Ashikabi, she couldn't call him anything less because he was doing so much for her. Realizing they were intruding on a now private event, Karasuba and Yume went to the kitchen while Takami left to go back to MBI while Naruto stayed with Akitsu.

Shaking his head, Naruto turned back to Akitsu and said, "Now Akitsu-chan, I've already explained what I'm going to do to Takami, Yume-chan, and Karasuba-chan, and they know what I'm going to do, so I just need to explain it to you, okay?"

When Akitsu nodded, Naruto told her of the plan to fix whatever happened, and that if she truly believed and wanted him to be her Ashikabi, then he would wing her.

"Ah… so, you'll wing me?" Akitsu asked, knowing if she hadn't been broken, she would most definitely be reacting to him.

Naruto nodded his head, "Yes, but only if you really believe that I am your Ashikabi," he said with a smile while looking Akitsu in the eye.

Akitsu had tears as she lunged forward and wrapped her arms around Naruto as she held him tightly, afraid everything happening was nothing more than a sick dream that was meant to get her hopes up. Figuring she needed a minute, Naruto held Akitsu in his arms as he gave her as long as she needed.

After about a minute, Akitsu let go of Naruto as she backed up and Naruto used his hand to wipe her tears and said, "Now, no more tears on this beautiful face unless they are tears of joy, alright?"

Akitsu nodded her head, as she was ready to no longer be broken, she then heard Naruto say, "Now, once I finish, you'll need to get something to eat and some more rest, since you're going to feel even more exhausted after this, okay?"

Akitsu blushed as she nodded and with that, she and Naruto locked lips with Akitsu moaning into the kiss. Suddenly, she felt an incredible amount of energy entering her body. She could feel as the energy almost seemed to prod every inch of her body, before gathering at back, forehead, and Tama. Akitsu could feel the wildness, the fierceness, and the anger in the energy, but she could also feel the love, the warmth, and the kindness that balanced it out. After a minute, the two broke apart since the need for air was starting to become unbearable.

After they separated, Akitsu noticed nothing had changed and felt sad, "Ah… I knew it couldn't be true."

She was about to start crying again until Naruto said, "Well, now I know what happened to you," Akitsu looked up as Naruto continued, "This kiss was only so that I could better figure out what happened. Now, I know how to give you your wings."

With that, the two locked lips again, this time, Akitsu felt as the energy was more focused this time. She felt it surged forward and came into contact with her Tama before it seemed to force its way in. At this, Akitsu's eyes went wide as she felt immense pleasure. Suddenly, out of Akitsu's back, a pair of pale blue wings of light emerged while the entire room's temperature dropped rapidly while ice and frost began to spread from where Naruto and Akitsu were. The light was so intense it began to shine brightly, even from outside.

"This is the ice of my pledge! Shatter the misfortunes of my Ashikabi!" Akitsu silently exclaimed she had thought she would never utter the words of her Norito, a Sekirei's version of saying, "I do," in a human marriage.

Naruto smiled at Akitsu as he said, "There, that's better, yeah?"

Akitsu nodded as she let tears fall from her eyes, only these were tears of joy, as she had finally been winged. Winged to the one she is proud to call her Ashikabi.

~Meanwhile, Maison Izumo~

"MIYA-TAN!"

A voice exclaimed as a pair of rapidly approaching steps were heard. The owner of said voice was a beautiful, curvy, young woman that looked to be in her early twenties. She had long, red hair with side plaits, one on each side, and a pair of dark red eyes that were hidden behind a pair of round glasses. She was wearing a pinkish-white cheongsam with a diamond cutout that showed off her cleavage. It also had a slit on the side that showed off her long, smooth legs. Finally, it also had sleeves that were semi-cutoff as they hung to the rest of the dress from the part under her arms.

This was Matsu, also known as Sekirei number two, the Wisdom Sekirei.

Currently, she was running through Maison Izumo and turning the corner to see three other women in the dining room. The first was a slender yet shapely woman, with fair skin and waist-length, hime-style, purple hair, and brown eyes. She was wearing a traditional-style Miko outfit with a purple hakama, white haori, a purple, sash-like belt, white socks, and a white ribbon to tie her hair.

The second woman also looked to be in her early twenties and had short, gray hair, brownish-red eyes, and a slender figure. She was wearing a white, long-sleeve button-up shirt and black slacks that hugged her slender figure with the shirt hugging her slightly larger than average breasts.

The last one was also a young woman who had long, brown hair tied into a ponytail and brown eyes. She has a well-endowed figure, as seen by her clothes which consisted of a pink shirt with violet sleeves and a yellow star on the front and the number ten on the back that hugged her large chest. Finally, she wore a pair of blue jeans that hugged her wide hips and large ass.

These were Uzume, Homura, and Miya, not in that particular order, though they were currently ignoring the number two Sekirei who had come running in. Matsu, about to start talking, saw that they were ignoring her in favor of looking out the window. Following their gaze, Matsu saw that at the house across the street, there was a bright, pale, blue light coming from multiple windows before it died down. Suddenly, bright pink and gray lights also began to shine and lasted for a few seconds before dying down.

Suddenly, Matsu then remembered why she ran down, "Miya-tan! You won't believe what's happened!"

Slightly shaking her head, Miya gained a smile as she looked at Matsu, "What is it?"

"Former number seven, Akitsu, has just been winged!" Matsu exclaimed, getting surprised looks from the other three in the room.

"Wait, seriously!?" Uzume asked in surprise, "I thought it was supposed to be impossible for her to get winged!"

Matsu nodded her head before pulling a laptop from… somewhere and opening it up before showing the other three a screen. On said screen, was an image of Akitsu, but in the spot where it used to say "Broken" for Akitsu's status, it now said, "Winged."

"I don't know what or how it happened!" Matsu exclaimed as she began swiftly typing on her laptop, "All I know is that Akitsu-tan has been winged and that there doesn't seem to be any information on her Ashikabi," suddenly, there was an alert before Matsu's eyes practically popped out of her head, "Now even Yume and Karasuba have been winged! All by the same person!"

Miya frowned at this, "That doesn't sound good."

Homura nodded her head in agreement, "Yeah, for there to be no info either means the person is a ghost, or not even MBI has any info on them. Especially if they managed to wing three single digits in such a short time."

Matsu nodded, "Yeah, since no matter what, everyone should be recorded, especially since there's no way MBI doesn't have info on them," she said as she continued typing on the laptop.

"Well, whatever, or whomever, winged her must be an amazing Ashikabi for MBI to go through such lengths to keep him or her hidden from everyone in the Sekirei Plan, including you, Matsu," Uzume said looking to the gorgeous redhead who simply nodded her head while still typing, "And damn it! Even Akitsu managed to get winged by an Ashikabi while the one I reacted to moved away!"

Homura and Matsu flinched at that while Miya simply pursed her lips, "Well, that is unfortunate, Uzume, I'm sorry that you missed your chance to emerge and I'm sure we'll eventually find out who this mysterious Ashikabi is in the future," Miya said looking to her fellow Sekirei, "But for now, dinner is almost done and you three must be hungry," she told them as she got up and headed towards the kitchen, "And Matsu, no laptops or technology at the table or no dinner."

As Miya said this, a purple Hanya mask appeared behind her while her smile seemed to turn sinister.

Matsu began shaking as she said, "I-I know, M-Miya-tan! I w-wasn't going to have it open!"

Nodding her head, the Hanya mask disappeared as Miya went back to cooking, while Uzume, Homura, and Matsu all let out breaths of relief. With that, the four of them began to enjoy their dinner before turning for the night. However, while Miya would get a good night's sleep, Uzume, Matsu, and Homura would experience a very uncomfortable night as they would wake up due to the heat they felt and they weren't sure why.

~Back at Naruto's house~

While Miya and her tenants all went to sleep, Yume and Karasuba were reeling from the experience of getting winged by their Ashikabi.

"Fateful light of my contract! Guide my Ashikabi from the shadows!"

"This is the pledge of my blade! Exterminate the sworn enemy of my Ashikabi!"

Both exclaimed as they rested against Naruto with Yume on Naruto's lap, Akitsu holding his right arm, and Karasuba holding his left, all of them happy at being winged by such an amazing Ashikabi. All of them were now relaxing with Karasuba and Yume having eaten when Akitsu was getting winged and Akitsu doing the same when Yume and Karasuba got winged.

Naruto smiled as he held his girls close, with them smiling at feeling the possessiveness in his action.

"Well, I believe that we should be heading to bed now since two of you have to go to work tomorrow and then I need to take Akitsu out to buy more clothes," Naruto said with all three nodding their heads.

Once they got to the bedroom, Yume stripped down to her pink panties while wearing one of Naruto's tunics, while Karasuba and Akitsu both stripped until they were fully nude. Naruto then changed into just a pair of black shorts with white chain designs around the thigh, but the girls then noticed his physique and couldn't help themselves from blushing, but also looked concerned.

Naruto has a lean but muscular build meant to provide both speed and power and is built from years of fighting with toned muscles he had developed over time. He had well-chiseled pecs, a very defined eight-pack, and back and leg muscles.

However, what caused the girls to be concerned were the scars that littered his body. They were all over his body.

He had scars all over his body of different shapes, sizes, and fades, showing some were still fresh and others weren't. Most looked to be the result of knives, swords, and other blade-like objects. He even had scars all over his arms that looked to have been made by hundreds of little razors. However, the one that stood out to them the most. It was a large, fist-shaped scar that rested over his heart and was heavily faded, showing that it was old. But when Naruto turned around to crawl into bed, he revealed that the scar actually went all the way through his body and came out his back.

They all knew he was different from most humans, but these scars showed he had been through a war, and while they wanted to ask, they knew that they needed sleep. So with that, all of them crawled into bed with Yume on his right, Karasuba on his left, and Akitsu on top, before all four went to sleep.

So, that has been the first chapter of my new fic, "Savior of the Birds."

Now, this is going to be a fic where Naruto was merged with V from Devil May Cry 5. He'll still have Kurama, for those wondering what happened to the big furball, and I plan for him to make an appearance, just not right away.

Now, Minato from Sekirei will not be in this fic as I'll have had him go to a college somewhere else and I'll make mention of it since I don't see a point in having him when Naruto will have his Sekirei.
