Lincoln Loud sighed as he was in for another day at middle school which would be fine if he was with his friends... And in his home city... Or his home country for that matter as because of a mishap that wasn't able to be fixed; he was going to a middle school all the way in Canada. He was stuck here until further noticed as he and his family failed to get it straightened out but they were able to work around it with Lisa inventing a teleportation device to bring him to the school and back so he would still be able to go home and spend time with his friends after school.
Lynn Jr was bummed that he wouldn't be going to middle school with her after all and there was his friends but they were encouraging him to give it a try and who knows, he might be able to make new friends at his new school. Hopefully not any divide between any school friends with home friends like the one that Leni initially had with her school and work friends.
He stepped onto the pavement and told himself "you can do this Lincoln... Give the other kids a try and see about making new friends... Make new friends..." Lincoln yelled as running from the pavement were a group of squirrels and had to duck for birds coming his way almost got his head but he ended up tripping.
He was getting up but noticed a blonde girl his age was getting up from her lotus position meditating on the ground; she went up to him and helped him up saying "my apologies as my animal friends wanted to say goodbye before I departed for school. You don't need to be more stressed as you are trying to make new friends after being seperated from your friends back in the US. Plus helping so much with your ten sisters even if they outnumber you and make your life difficult at times; admirable about how much you help when they need you." the girl said sympathetically as Lincoln was wide eyed. "I read it in your aura which reads as stressed and hoping to make it work here at the school..." the girl explained as Lincoln just blinked.
He recognised her as in his class but haven't seen enough of her yet to get an impression but while odd and creepy; she seemed nice enough. "Dawn... Right? I'm Lincoln?" Lincoln asked remembering her name as she smiled accepting her hand to shake.
They heard yelling and then saw that a trash can had been dumped over a boy by a big brute of a boy who looked like he was a bully. They then ran and then there was a goth girl who came in to help get the can off him. "Are you alright... Harold?" Lincoln asked recognising the boy from his class as well as the boy got his glasses and sighed.
"Duncan; he has been doing this to me ever since we were in daycare..." Harold groaned as Lincoln blinked feeling sorry for the boy as he remembered dealing with Ronnie Anne and this was the type of things that she used to do before she mellowed out and they made friends.
"Well if you want to make friends with Lincoln then you will both get along great! You both like video games, comics and TV and movies!" Dawn said pushing them together and they were weirded out and looked at eachother.
"So you like Ace Savvy or how about David Steele?" Lincoln asked but Harold grinned but then saw the goth girl grumbling as she was picking up the trash from the trash can and Dawn helped with a big smile.
"Another soul caring for the enviroment Gwen and don't feel that you have to close yourself off to people because they keep judging you before they get to know you! Plus Lincoln could be your friend like me as well as you both have artistic talents and we can help you with the feelings that you have about your father visiting since your parents divorced when you were young." Dawn told her as Gwen was freaked out and glared but Lincoln got in front of Dawn.
"Dawn; I think you mean well but... Bluntly bringing up personal stuff about people out loud will not exactly endear yourself to them..." Lincoln told her and Dawn blinked as she and Gwen finished up putting the trash in the bin.
"Really... My apologies Gwen... I am hoping that we can work past any initial discomfort as Lincoln is hoping to make new school friends and I wanted to help him with it and perhaps help you all with making new friends as well since we are in most of the same classes together!" Dawn smiled as Gwen batted an eye.
"So you are saying that we form some sort of friend group? Right; should we call ourselves 'team weirdo' or something?" Gwen asked sarcastically as Lincoln and Harold was silent. "I will entertain it but quit it with the personal secret thing Dawn and if any of you get on my bad side then I won't hold back..." Gwen warned as Lincoln thought that he would have to warm up to Gwen.
"So Gwen could be like the goth with the heart of gold like Lucy if Dawn is to be believed..." Lincoln wondered as it looks like he may have his school friend group if things go well...
Years later 16 year old Lincoln Loud was in the morning having gotten all of his things ready for school and texted his home friends to wish them good luck for the special type of school season that started as the 1st of the month. He put away his phone and said goodbye to his parents and sisters still at home who were going to Vanzilla to be dropped off.
Lincoln himself used Lisa's invention and then teleported to the main gate of his high school in Canada; having bonded with the friends that he made that he asked his parents to agree to have him move up to the Canadian high school in that area and they ended up agreeing. Less time with his home friends but he was finding it hard to think of saying goodbye to the new ones.
He gulped as he knew what was special about this time and walked up the pavement; the 4 had made opened up more and found a whole bunch of new friends among their peers. Soon enough he was greeted by one such friend DJ who was a large boy and smiled down at him saying "Lincoln; you know what season it is right and the promise you made me do? That I can't let you back out?"
"Don't worry DJ; I won't back out and I'm ready... Or at least I hope I am..." Lincoln replied and they entered together and along with the new posters up; there was the intercom playing:
"Good morning students at Total Drama HIgh; this is Principal Hatchet and I don't think that you are too much of dummies to not realise that this is the 1st and at the end of the month there is Prom so today officially starts Prom Season! Now I will let you have the proposals and excitement and all that but be warned any shenanagians between now and the end of Prom then I swear that the perps will be helping to clean up the cafeteria!"
There was gulping at the feared principal's threat but it turned to excitement as students started giving out proposals. There was Harold kneeling down to his girlfriend LeShawna asking "my big beautiful LeShawna; would you accompany me to the Prom?"
"Silly boy; why did you even bother asking?" LeShawna smirked pulling him in for a kiss as Lincoln started clapping as more proposals came from the students.
"I am ready for proposals... If you think that you are worthy of not being turned down..." Heather the mean girl of the school shouted out confidently but frowned as she was ignored to snickers. Lincoln went up to Harold and high fived him and soon there was Gwen laughing hand in hand with her girlfriend Courtney.
"Lincoln, Harold... Gwen here decided to break tradition and asked me to Prom last night on the phone..." Courtney told them as they snickered and looked to Gwen.
"She was still fuming about losing Student Body President to Noah and so I needed to calm her down and it's not like she was ranting then... How it made her anger disappear and don't you dare deny it..." Gwen explained as Courtney rolled her eyes and glared at said Student Body President Noah asking out his girlfriend Emma to Prom and being accepted before she smiled at Gwen.
Then came in smiling was Dawn and Lincoln was nervous as he told himself no backing out as he could feel the push by DJ. Lincoln found himself not only getting more used to Dawn but liking her more and more; how positive and passionate she was and how she took things in stride but more than willing to fight to defend herself or others if need to be. Plus her gift with animals was cool and how pretty she was; she pretty much became from who could be considered his best school friend to his crush.
Lincoln then got out his magician's top hat while Dawn was saying "greetings friends and don't you love the positive romantic energy that Prom Season brings out... Lincoln; do you want to show off a new magic trick?"
Lincoln gulped as he then brought out a bouquet of flowers to Dawn and on one knee he asked "Dawn... Would you... Uh... Want to go to Prom with me?" Dawn was speechless and taken aback but gad the biggest smile as she scooped him up.
"There are not enough ways to say 'yes' on this planet; off course! Thank Mother Earth for this! I was hoping that you would! My parents encouraged me to admit my feelings to you but I was waiting for the perfect time!" Dawn cheered with them smiling as there was clapping from the students including their friends (though not including those like Heather or those who didn't like or know them too well) as the two of them being in love with eachother was pretty much an open secret in the school.
"He went through with it; pay up..." smirked Gwen putting out her hand as Courtney grumbled getting out her wallet but it turned to a smile happy for them while Sammy of the cheerleading squad was leading her fellow cheerleaders to giving the couple a cheer while Sammy's sister Amy was off to the side shaking her head with her arms folded.
Dawn let go as the four started to go to their first class together; "Gwen and I are are going with our girls and you two are finally together and are going with eachother... Team Weirdo is going to rule the Prom!" Harold told them as the four brought eachother closer.
"How about a small cheer before we focus on our class..." Dawn suggested as they put their hands together in a circle before putting them up shouting:
"Go Team Weirdo!"
