Chapter 1; A fatal Slip-up
Date: 13/07/1944
Location: The Berghof main hall, Bavarian Mountains
Time: 11:30 AM
Wilhelm "Kaiser/William" Carolus was minding his business reading a book in the main hall when the Fuehrer was assassinated. The cause of death was a bowling pin launched by a teller mine placed behind the pins. The teller mine was placed by SOE sniper LT. Karl Fairburn. The mine was barely heard by Wilhelm. To him, it only sounded like a slight thump. He paid no attention to the sound, grossly emersed in the book he was reading.
The book was an interesting read and he was always on edge, wanting to know what happens next. The story revolved around 5 heroes, each wielding a specific weapon. There was the Spear Hero, Sword Hero, Bow Hero, Shield Hero, and the Armoury Hero. Wilhelm was really impressed with the Armoury Hero, who had no limitations on what weapons they wielded. Wilhelm sort of wished he was in the Armoury Hero's place, doing actual good deeds, instead of what he was currently doing. After all, he only enlisted in the army for the pay and benefits of being a veteran. His unsaid wish would be granted, just not in the way he expected.
A silenced gunshot rang out, and Wilhelm slumped over, dead. Fairburn had found Wilhelm, and, not wanting to risk it, shot Wilhelm with his welrod. Wilhelm did not feel any pain in his final moments. The .45ACP round went straight through his Hippocampus, meaning he only felt the pain for a thousandth of a second. This was the end for Wilhelm, at least, on Earth.

Wilhelm awoke with a groan, slowly getting up. "Ugh, what happened?" He asked rhetorically. As he got into a sitting position, he noticed his surroundings weren't that of the Berghof. "Wait a minute, this isn't the Berghof. Where am I?" he wondered aloud. As he surveyed the area, he noticed that he was wearing armbands that were black with a white jewel on them. He also noticed the weapons with temporary labels around him. There was a Kar98k, a P08 Luger, an STG 44, an MP40, an Erma 36, a Gewehr 1943, a Model D, a Type 14 Nambu, a Type 100, and an Arisaka.
There were also some weapons he didn't recognize. Reading the labels on them, he saw that they were a Steyr AUG, an MP5, an HK416, an FN SCAR-17, an MP7, an MP9, a USP Match, and a MK.23 SOCOM. There were some explosives as well, grenades, satchel charges, trip mines, claymores, c4, and breaching charges.
Then there was the clothes he was wearing. He was wearing the standard-issue uniform of the Wehrmacht, with some changes. The swasticas were no longer there, replaced with an Iron cross. In the space for medals, there was a knight's cross with Golden Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds, a Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, a German Cross in Gold with Diamonds, a War Merit Cross (1st Class), a U.S. Medal of Honor, a U.S. Purple Heart, and a U.S. Medal of Valor.
He was shocked when he saw all of the medals. "Why does my uniform have all of these medals?" he thought, wondering why he had all these high-ranking medals. He did not expect his unspoken question to be answered, but it was.
A holographic screen appeared in his sight with the words "You have earned these medals due to you opposing the Feuhrer, and wanting to do the right thing."
This startled William, who then asked out loud, "What is this?!"
"This is status magic. Status magic allows you to know how powerful you are, how much currency you have, and what you have in your inventory."
"*breath in* Gottverdammt."
