A scream sounded from the trees. Jacob was lying in front of me, wolf-form.

"Jacob! What is-"

"Run."

He barely can say the word. I stand stock still. I couldn't move.

"You heard me... Run."

My mind seemed to kick in then. I run around the house into the woods. I had never been the most athletic person. But now, when it seems that my life is in danger, I seemed to be running at the speed of light. My legs swing in a similar motion with my arms. I breath through my mouth in long breaths.

I took a peek behind my shoulder. No-one was there so I stopped to catch my breath. I must've been a long way away from the house- I didn't recognise the trees around me. I was utterly and hopelessly lost.

"Jacob?" I dared to yell through the mass of trees incasing me.

A 'whoosh' noise sounded behind me. I turned around and saw a gigantic wolf charging towards me. I scream and try to run. My legs weren't fast enough. Something kicks me up my bum and I land on the back of the beast. I keep screaming. The wolf tries to turn its head to look at me. Its eyes were a brown colour. They had meaning behind them. And that's when I recognised him.

Paul.

He ran through the forest as fast as a rocket. I clutched onto the mass of brown fur in front of me for support. We were running away from where I came from... At least that's what I thought. Everything looks the same after a while.

Paul leaps over a fallen log. A tidal wave of air floods my face. We hit the ground with such force, it should have made a dent in the Earth.

"Where are we going?" I stupidly ask knowing that he can't reply.

He grunts and keeps rapidly moving.

Out of the corner of my eye, I notice a big, black shape. Scared I lean more into Paul's thick coat. The shape advances, now running alongside Paul and I. That's when I notice he's another wolf. Sam.

I look questioningly over to him. He just nods his head forward, indicating that we must keep going.

After what seemed like an eternity, we finally pause in a small clearing. I hop down from Paul, who was panting so hard I thought he would start coughing up something.

Sam pushed me so that my back was facing him. I turn around and see a blur of fur and skin. Whoops, they were transforming. I swiftly turn around again.

"It's ok now, Rachel."

I turn around and run into Paul's arms.

"You're fine. We should be safe here."

"Paul what on Earth is happening?"

He takes a big breath.

"Let us explain."
