After the battle with Ivan Ooze had been won. Adam and Rocky, one day, found themselves oddly without their friends at Ernie's juice bar.

"Rocky, I never dreamed we'd end up being Power Rangers when we first came to Angel Grove over a year ago," said Adam. "Yeah, I know what you mean. We've been through some pretty crazy stuff as Power Rangers." Rocky answer.

In the same shocked voice, he had upon becoming a Power Ranger. This made Adam smile at the shocked voice of wonder that Rocky sometimes still had.

"Kimberly and Tommy were really there for Billy when Trini left because they were in a great relationship. It had to end, as neither of them could handle the distance for the time they would be distant." Rocky reminded Adam.

"Yeah, I remember," said Adam. Billy's heart was so broken, and Kimberly and Tommy were the ones to get his heart to mend. It is after the battle again's Ivan Ooze and being on Phaedos. Billy had finally asked Aisha out to dinner.

When Billy did ask, she rolled her eyes and said, "It's about time, Billy."

It took a couple months of Kimberly and Tommy pushing Billy to ask. He kept saying he wasn't ready, and they said he was. The date ended well, and Billy and Aisha were happy together.

"Rocky, do you remember our first day at Angel Grove High? Remember when Kimberly walked into class when we first met her and the look you gave her?" Adam said in a gently shy, teasing voice, which made Rocky smile.

"Oh yeah, I remember that day, clear crystal," Rocky said, laughing half of himself."

"I was like, WOW! When I laid eyes on Kimberly, and then Tommy walked into the classroom, it was clear that she was off-limits." continued Rocky.

It was well-known that Kimberly and Tommy were a couple and only had eyes for each other. Another girl did not invoke Kimberly's wrath, and another guy dared not invoke Tommy's wrath.

"When we were on Phaedos in the dinosaur graveyard, that dinosaur came to life and trapped Kimberly. Tommy was reckless. He just grabbed the nearest stick and started beating that monster." Adam said, with the same look of surprise he had when the incident happened.

Tommy was not a reckless person; in general, going after Kimberly, that could change.

They sat there and reminisced about their time, Angel Grove, and being Power Rangers. Rocky began to recall how shy Adam was, yet he was confident, gentle, and kind and knew how to poke monsters they had faced. After Billy and Aisha had started dating. Adam and Rocky, often if there was not a crisis, and this was one of the few afternoons there hadn't been one, had found themselves together as their friends were couples. Often felt like he and Adam were just both third wheels when they were together with their friends when they could just be seniors in high school and not the Power Rangers.

On the other hand, Adam was often grateful that it was just him and Rocky on non-crisis afternoons. Realistically, they seemed few and far between. Adam has always liked Rocky's outgoingness. Sometimes, he felt like it balanced his shyness. Adam and Rocky had arrived in Angel Grove along with Aisha. Rocky and he hit it off the first day they met. They had only grown closer over the last year. After Adam's encounter with Scorpia during encounter during the vice-versa dance. He ended up dancing with a girl he liked that night. Truth be told, only to himself he actually had feelings for Rocky. Being too shy to bring it up for fear of rejection was beginning to cause internal conflict for Adam. Sitting there, looking at Rocky and lost in his thoughts, Adam had to fight the spontaneous desire to kiss Rocky.

Rocky had been able to tell for some time that Adam seemed to be holding something back. He didn't know what it was and on a non-crisis afternoon. Rocky often would ask Adam to go to Ernie's juice bar to get him to talk about it. Adam was shy and good at concealment of his feelings, although Rocky knew some of Adam's concealed walls had come down with him. Rocky decided this afternoon that it was his mission to drag out of Adam, his best friend, what he was hiding. Rocky mind was turning to how to drag this concealed thing out of Adam. The caution was that Rocky had developed feelings for Adam.

Neither of them realized that they had feelings for each other. However, Kimberly and Tommy had had a discussion in private about whether or not Rocky and Adam had feeling for each other. They didn't find a conclusion. However, Billy and Aisha weigh in on this another conversation with just the four of them. Billy and Aisha were convinced Rocky and Adam had feelings for each other. In fact, for the past three months, the two couples had been making themselves scarce as they knew Rocky could get around Adam's concealment wall better than any of them could.

Rocky looked across the table at Adam. Could see the concealment and wondered if they were concealing the same thing from each other, and even greater fear of how their friends would feel about it.

"Hey, Adam, do you want to teleport to the command center and sit on one of the cliff edges?" Ask Rocky playful voice.

"Sure, Rocky, although we'd probably need to ask Alpha if it's okay to teleport in for no reason?" Adam answered with a smile. He did the cliff edges around the command center.

They headed to an out-of-the-way area, and Zordan OK'd them coming to the command center to sit on one of the cliff edges. He didn't mind if the Rangers dropped in occasionally, as he didn't see it as a misuse of power.

Sitting there overlooking the cliffs with Rocky, Adam finally decided to put an arm around Rocky and see what would happen. He did it in what he hoped was a best friend's way and was surprised Rocky didn't flinch. Oh, Rocky now knows what Adam is concealing. Rocky was relieved and internally exhaled quite a bit. Because it was a relief to know that Adam felt the same about him that he felt about Adam. After a few minutes, Rocky looked over and said,

"Adam, I'm glad to have your arm around me." With a smile of pure delight, and leaning to put his head on Adam's left shoulder. Adam was taken aback by this. Rocky was so outgoing that it was hard to believe he could conceal his feelings well from anyone.

"Rocky, do you ever feel like sometimes we're both just third wheels to our other four friends?" asks Adam in an almost painfully quiet and shy voice. Rocky knew he needed to keep momentum building on this moment by how Adam asked.

"Adam, all the time. Our other four friends have not been around these last three months unless we were in a crisis, or so it feels that way to me, caused by Lord Zee and Rita. Rocky spoke in a steady and yet cautious voice.

Adam, reassured by the sturdiness of Rocky's voice, even though there was caution as well, began to roll around in his head. Should I just go and lean in for the kiss? Who knows when we'll have another quiet, non-crisis afternoon? They always feel so few and far between. Rocky glanced up slightly and could see Adam's head slightly moving from side to side like it was in some internalized debate. Rocky was growing a little antsy. The afternoon was quiet, and it was peaceful on the cliff overhang. He took a breath and finally said.

"Adam, I know what your debate is. Just kiss me already." It just came out of Rocky's mouth without much thought, not like a command, more like an I'm antsy right now. Can we just get this over with before something spoils the afternoon. Adam was ecstatic a second later. His lips were on Rocky's. As the first kiss broke apart, they smiled so broadly that it hurt their cheeks.

"Will I guess it all out in the open now," said Adam.

Rocky nodded in agreement, answering, "I'm not sorry, are you?"

Adam quickly shook his head no. Adam was to push Rocky backward and kiss him again, except Rocky beat him to that move, pushing him back for another kiss. The afternoon slipped away on the rock cliff by the command center, an afternoon of blazing kisses. It went on until nearly dusk.
