Usagi made her way into the organic whole foods market with what seemed like an endless list of healthy foods. She cringed as she read down at all the strange ingredients and sighed in defeat. She was tired of eating like a rabbit and quite frankly was tired of the whole organic slash Pilates girl lifestyle. What she wouldn't do for a big juicy burger and a chocolate shake! Usagi shook her head, she had promised Minako she wouldn't bring any "bad" foods into their apartment.

Living with her best friend Minako had its perks like borrowing her expensive designer brand clothes, and getting free cosmetics, but she was beginning to get lonely and home sick. She missed her family dearly, her mother's cooking, and all her friends.

Usagi growled as she tried to decipher her roommates unintelligible writing. I think that's an A? Ugh no wait it's an M... God, I need ice cream in my life! With fierce determination she tossed the leafy green vegetable and made her way to the freezer. Aha! Cookies and Cream ice cream!

"Vegan?" She complained out loud as she picked it up to read the label in annoyance.

"Odango?" A very familiar voice came from behind her.

Oh no, no, no, no!

Slowly the blonde turned around and gaped in disbelief.
"Mamoru?" She gritted out through her teeth.

"I see you still have that sweet tooth. Now what in the world are you doing in a whole foods market? Better yet, what are you doing in Los Angeles?" He asked her as he tried to conceal his excitement in seeing her again after three years.

Usagi couldn't believe her misfortune. She was thousands of miles away from home and she still managed to bump into her childhood tormentor.

"Not that it's any of your business Baka! But I moved here six months ago. And what are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be some hot-shot doctor in New York?"

Mamoru smiled down at the ill-tempered blond. He then realized just how much he missed their bickering.

He dodged the question and smirked at her. "So, you're not really eating that healthy stuff now are you, odango?" He asked her with a raised brow.

Usagi sighed and her anger deflated, as she put the ice cream back into the freezer. "Well, I've been eating this tasteless food for the past few months...but to be completely honest, I really want a burger. I want real food!" She whined.

Mamoru chuckled and shook his head. "How about I help you take your food back to your place and we go have lunch, with real food. It's nice to see a familiar face for once." He said with a sad smile. Usagi wondered how lonely he must feel being so far from home for so long. She knew Mamoru wasn't one to make friends.

She surprised him with a warm smile and nodded in agreement. "Sure, I live a few blocks down."

After paying for the food Usagi and Mamoru made their way towards Usagi's apartment. "You sure you don't want me to carry one of those bags?" She asked as she eyed him, he had about six recyclable bags in each hand.

Mamoru shook his head and smiled down at her before haughtily replying, "I think I can handle a few bags odango."

"Suit yourself" she taunted.

"We're here!" She cried out before smiling evilly, " oh by the way the elevator broke down and were in the 16th floor..." She said as she began to climb the stairs.

Sixteen flights of stairs later Mamoru found Usagi sitting outside her front door smiling at him, "what took so long Mamoru! I'm starving!"

Mamoru grumbled under his breath a few curse words.

She opened the door and held it open for him. "Have a seat while I put everything away." She said as she took the groceries from his hands.

"Oh, you're strong Odango!" He laughed as he plopped into her black leathered sofa. He looked around her shared apartment and noticed how he didn't see anything that reminded him of Usagi. It was probably Minako who decorated, he figured.

"Can I get you anything to drink, Hercules?" She teased without looking back at him.

"Water would be nice." He replied as he stood up to look at the walls of photos. He realized he couldn't find a single picture of Usagi.

"How come you're not in any of these photos?" He turned around to take the glass of iced water from her hand gratefully.

Usagi shrugged nonchalantly and looked away. "Well, I've been so busy with school and work... I really don't have the luxury of going out or meeting new people." She turned around and went back to fold the reusable bags and placing them in a cabinet drawer.

Before he could ask further Usagi quickly changed the subject, "Let's go eat!"

He smiled and nodded.

Loud moaning sounds of pleasure were heard in a small diner restaurant. Mamoru felt a blush come down on his cheeks as people turned and stared at the blond who was too enthralled in her burger to even notice.

"Quiet down Usa, people are staring." He hissed and lightly kicked her under the table.

She didn't even notice. Without making sure her mouth wasn't full of food he thought he heard her say "Do you know how long it's been? Six miserable months! God, this is so good!" She took another bite of her double cheeseburger and moaned in pleasure. Mamoru could see her eyes rolling to the back of her head and he groaned inwardly. He was getting mental thoughts of her in a way he didn't want to think of her in. He couldn't find himself able to look away. He noticed how much the girl before him had changed. She no longer donned the odangos he had loved to mercilessly taunt her for. Instead, her hair was parted to the side and cascaded down in waves that reached her hips. She had minimal makeup that only Enhanced her natural beauty and didn't make her look like most girls that packed on their faces as if they were Halloween masks. She had fashionable tight ripped jeans and a peach V-neck cotton shirt, she looked so effortlessly beautiful. He then shook his head as he realized he was in fact checking out Odango.

After they were done eating, they both sat there too full to move.

"That was soo good! Thank you for bringing me here, Mamoru." She said as she patted her tummy happily.

"Well, I'm glad you liked it. I come here once in a while on my lunch breaks. If I'm lucky enough to get one that is" He replied as he took a final sip of his soda.

"Ah, so where do you work?" She asked curiously.

"I'm a pediatric doctor at the hospital across the street. After working in New York, I was offered the position here in LA and since I didn't have anyone in New York I decided another change wouldn't really matter." He said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"So, do you have anyone here Mamoru?" She asked not sure if she wanted to know the answer.
"I do now."

She smiled.
