Marinette loved Adrien so much. He was almost always so energetic and enjoying his newfound freedom. Many of their days together were spent outside, visiting places or doing things he had only dreamed of trapped in his stuffy bedroom. However, there were some days that he seemed to change. Any time any amount of rain started falling from the sky, Adrien would retreat to the couch and wrap himself in a blanket, trying to stay as dry and warm as possible. She cooed at the thought of his permanent sleepy expression on those days.
Too many times though, she had fallen into the trap that was rainy day Adrien. She would walk by too close or go check up on him and next thing she would know he would be snuggling her for dear life and not let go. She had to cancel plans on more than one occasion and even order pizza instead of cooking due to him not letting her go until the next morning. To be honest, she did not mind all the time either. Especially in the winter months, when her ladybug instincts told her to take a big sleep until spring. She would 'accidentally' allow her boyfriend to capture her and keep her safe and warm.
Yes, Marinette loved rainy days. Even if she didn't understand why her lover would get like this when it rained. She just hoped that this trait would not pass on to their eventual children. One day, however, she did understand.
There had been an akuma in the rain that day. Chat had been out of it, as usual, but had done his best to help end the fight quickly. He had taken off almost as soon as the Akuma was caught, without their fist-bump. Ladybug swung home, her mind worried for her partner. Somewhere in the back of her mind, a small voice was crying out for attention. However, this voice was phased out when she got home, detransformed, and found Chat Noir, wrapped in Adrien's blanket on his spot on the couch. She stared at the hero, unbelieving her luck at first before a smile took over her face. She transformed again and got close to the sleepy hero. Soon she found herself tangled in Chat's arms, the snuggle monster firmly holding the hero of creation. She grinned, her partner was in for a surprise when he came too again.
