Chapter 2 – Mytilene

Once back at the room, they slipped into the shower to rinse off the sand and sunscreen (and to have a slippery, naked make-out session), and opened the sliding door to their balcony before slipping (naked) between the sheets.

Santana curled herself around Brittany's back and pulled her close. She couldn't believe her luck. Brittany was hers. Again. For good this time she promised herself as she placed a soft kiss against Brittany's shoulder.

Brittany sighed in contentment as she ran her fingers gently up and down the arm Santana had wrapped around her waist.

Santana looked at the clock; it was just after 11am which put their body clocks at just after 4am. No wonder they were tired.

"Is there anything special you want to do while we're here, Britt?"

"I read they have glass bottom boat tours and offer excursions to a couple of small islands. I know I want to do the four-by-four thing where we can feed the wild horses." Brittany yawned. "I know there's lots to do. I'm glad we rented a car; it'll make it easier to get around to the towns we want to go to."

"That's why we did it." Santana pressed another soft kiss to Brittany's shoulder. "Sleep now, babe. When we get up we'll have something light then maybe walk around town and look for a good place for dinner."

"M'kay. Love you."

"Love you, too, sweetheart."

Santana opened her eyes and glanced at the clock on the nightstand. It was just past 3pm; 8am New York time, she automatically calculated. She slipped from the bed, careful not to wake Brittany.

She attended nature's call, splashed some water on her face, brushed her teeth, pulled her hair into a high pony, and got dressed in a pair of faded blue skinny jeans and a red, form-fitting, v-neck t-shirt.

When she got back into the room Brittany was beginning to stir. Santana's mouth went dry at the sight of Brittany's bare back. Brittany rolled over and Santana had an almost overwhelming desire to strip down and never leave this room.

Brittany's blue eyes opened and she smiled sleepily at Santana. "I know that look." She smirked at the Latina. "But I'm hungry for food." Her stomach let out a loud growl just then as if to prove her point.

Santana chuckled. "Then you better get dressed because I'm less than two seconds away from stripping down and rejoining you."

Brittany laughed and got up and headed for the bathroom Santana had just exited. She paused briefly and kissed Santana softly. "I'll just be a few minutes."

Santana smiled and sat down on the small sofa in the room. Pulling out the guide book, she tried to figure out what the best plan for today was. She thought a light lunch in the hotel's restaurant then maybe a stroll around the town to see what's around. Maybe find a place for dinner and a club to dance in.

They had gotten sim cards in the Mytilene airport so they could use their phones without ridiculous roaming charges; she did a little surfing to get a bit of insight into the nightlife. She booked one of the glass bottom boat mini-cruises to Rabbit Island. Britt was going to love it. Rabbits. Rabbits everywhere. And goats apparently.

Santana smiled as Britt stepped out of the bathroom looking as beautiful as ever. She was wearing a pair of white capri pants and a pale blue peasant blouse.

"I thought we'd get something light in the hotel's restaurant then maybe explore the town a little bit; find someplace for dinner and then maybe a club to dance in?"

"Sounds good to me."

They headed out to the elevators and, as they walked, Santana let Brittany know the plan for tomorrow.

"I booked us for one of those glass bottom boat things. The one with the barbecue was today but they have a mini-cruise tomorrow that leaves from Petra at eleven. So we should plan to have breakfast and leave here around nine-thirty. According to Google, it takes about fifty-two minutes by car so I want to give us a little wiggle room."

They exited on the main floor and headed to the dining room.

"That sounds like fun. Thank you."

"You said it was something you wanted to do so I looked it up and saw it was available for tomorrow." Santana shrugged.

She let the hostess know that there was two of them and she seated them by a window with a sea view.

Santana got lost for a few minutes looking at the beautiful waters of the Aegean; and thought about how close to the color of Britt's eyes it was. She looked at Britt and smiled softly. Hers.

"Penny for your thoughts?"

Santana beamed at Brittany. "You can have them for free, Britt. I was just thinking that your eyes are as blue as the Aegean and I'm so happy … and lucky … that I get to call you mine again."

Brittany's whole face lit up. "I feel the same way, honey. So, so happy that we're together and we're here and … we're together."

Santana took Brittany's hand and kissed it before setting it down on the table without releasing it.

"Need a napkin?"

Santana laughed. "Never again, Britt."

The waitress came and they ordered Greek salads and a club sandwich to split.

"Can you put my feta cheese on her salad?"

The waitress smiled and nodded.

"You are so sweet."

"Why?"

"You could have just asked them to leave the feta off your salad but, instead, you asked her to put it on mine. It was sweet. Thoughtful. Thank you."

Santana ducked her head and felt the blush rise in her cheeks. "I know how much you like it."

Brittany just shook her head.

They ate their meals and Santana signed for the bill before they headed out into Mytilene.
