Chapter 1: The Aftermath of Leaving Camp Buddy
After Camp Buddy had ended, Simon had trouble falling asleep as he's still processing things that happened at the end of Camp Buddy term when they were all going home. Simon had finally fallen asleep, but his mind kept replaying the time where Aiden called Simon's mom, Cynthia and proposed to her in front of Simon during a video call.
**Flashback at Camp Buddy**
"Hey, good morning babe, are you excited to head home? I mean I am, we can still hang out and all.~" Taiga said as he grinned at his lover.
Simon blushed and nodded. "I am yeah. I'm also excited to see my sisters, and Cosmic." Simon told Taiga as he smiled.
Taiga hugged Simon from behind as he lifted up his shirt a bit. Simon sighed softly as Taiga kissed his neck. Simon bit his lips as he stopped his lover.
"H-Hey….~ If we start getting naughty, we're gonna get in trouble.~ Can you wait till we get back home?" Simon asked his lover as he giggled.
"I'm sorry love. You're just so hot right now…~ Besides, it's a long ride home. We're both going to be really tired if we try to screw around." Taiga said as he laughed a bit.
Simon giggled as he sat on the bed. "Well, how about this? Come on by Sunday night then we'll have a little alone time. I know it's been like nearly five weeks we haven't done it." Simon explained as he smiled.
"True babe. Anyways, we should get our bags into the van unless your mom can pick us up?" Taiga asked as he tilted his head.
"Oh! Let me ask Bro Aiden since he and my mom are a couple and all." Simon said as he chuckled dryly.
Taiga smiled and nodded as he watched his lover walk out of the door as he grabbed both of their bags off the beds and headed to the van. Simon walked into the mess hall where Aiden was still in. Apparently, Aiden was on the phone with Cynthia. Video calling each other if you please.
"So babe, uhhh where are you right now? I wanna ask you something because I can't wait any longer." Aiden asked Cynthia as he smiled and blushed.
Simon hid behind the mess hall door, being as quiet as possible and making sure none of the Rainbow Buddies, nor the girls were coming by the mess hall.
"I'm about to get ready to head out and pick y'all up. Is Simon all ready, boo? What about Taiga?" Cynthia asked as she sat her phone by her clock, grabbing her keys and purse.
"I can ask them, but babe real quick please." Aiden said as he pulled out a small velvet box as he waited for Cynthia to turn around.
"Yes honey?" Cynthia said as she sat on the bed.
Simon got a little closer as he tried to see what Aiden was trying to ask his mom.
Aiden then opened the box and it revealed a diamond engagement ring. Cynthia gasped as she began to fan herself. Trying to stop her tears from falling. Simon tried to look but couldn't, so he stayed behind. Trying to keep quiet.
"Miss Cynthia Maxwell, I know we've been together for a year, but the more I spend my time with you, the more I can picture a future with us. Will you marry me~?" Aiden said with a huge grin on his face.
Simon gasped as he felt his heart pounding. So many thoughts were racing in his head. Cynthia screamed that she said "Yes" so many times as she cried happy tears. Simon then blinked as he shook his head. He then stepped back as he hit something that made a thud sound. Aiden turned around as Simon immediately ran out of the mess hall. Cynthia wiped her tears away as she smiled.
"Aiden honey, are you okay?" Cynthia asked her new fiance as Aiden nodded and turned around back to Cynthia.
"Yes I am. Ummm I just realized something. How are we gonna tell your son? I think he was in here just now." Aiden said as he cleared his throat.
Cynthia sighed. "Oh dear. He probably heard everything then. Look, I'll text him. He has his phone right?" Cynthia asked as she stood up.
"Yeah he should babe. Maybe I'll try and talk to him. Text me alright honey? I'll keep this ring safe till I come home and put it on your finger.~" Aiden said as he grinned.
"Alright boo. I'll text you." Cynthia said as she ended the video call.
Aiden smiled as he stood up and sighed. "Alright. Let's do this." Aiden said to himself as he walked out of the mess hall.
Simon ran to the pier as he was panting. Trying to calm down but he then fell to his knees and looked at the ground. He's not angry, sad, he's just so confused. Little did he know that The Rainbow Buddies followed him. They were worried for Simon. They all looked at each other as they didn't know who could say a word to him.
"Simon? Are you okay, pal?" Keitaro said as he finally broke the silence.
Simon stood up as he fixed his hair and dusted off his clothes. He sniffled as he stepped back a bit.
"Babe? What happened? Did Bro Aiden yell at you or something?" Taiga asked as he walked up to Simon and hugged him.
Simon was numb as he looked at his lover and his friends. "I don't know how to tell you guys but….My mom and Bro Aiden are engaged…." Simon said as he sighed.
Everyone gasped as Jalin walked up to Simon and hugged him. "Simon, that's fantastic news! It's a lot better than Bro Aiden being with my mom." Jalin said happily as she squealed.
Simon sighed and gently pushed them back. "No y'all don't understand. I like Bro Aiden but not as a father type. But as a friend…..It's going to be so weird….to…..to….." Simon looked up as he saw Aiden walking up to them as they all turned around.
"Hey guys, the van's ready to leave to take y'all home. But I wish to talk to Simon for a minute please." Aiden told them as he gave them a smile.
Everyone just nodded as they wanted to ask Aiden more questions but they had to leave as the van was honking. Simon sighed as he sat down at the pier as he began to cry. Aiden frowned and sat down next to him.
"Hey little buddy, I'm guessing you heard what I said to your mom huh?" Aiden said as he sighed.
Simon wiped his tears as he looked at the old boat that was still in the lake.
"Aiden, I'm happy for you and my mom. But…..I don't see you as a father figure. I still see you as a friend and a scoutmaster at Camp Buddy…..you know what I mean?" Simon told him as he sniffled.
"I understand little buddy. But you know, your mom told me everything that happened to you and Avery with your father, right? And the time she divorced him and all. I just don't understand why he has that mindset." Aiden told Simon as he sighed.
"Yeah…I'm still having a hard time talking about it….he….. Nevermind." Simon said as he looked at his ankles and arms as he still had some visible bruises and scars on him.
Aiden nodded as he stood up. "Come on little buddy. Your mom is here and she's taking us home and Taiga too of course. He can sleepover tonight if he wants. Okay?" Aiden told Simon as he smiled.
Simon looked at Aiden as he smiled at him. He stood up as the two walked out of the pier. Everyone saw them as Yoshinori walked up to Aiden.
"Hey, are you two okay? We were about to leave you till Ms. Maxwell arrived." Yoshinori said as he smiled.
"We're alright, Yoshi. Welp, it was really nice seeing you all. Especially to the new members. I had a really great time hanging out and being y'all's scoutmaster!" Aiden said happily as he felt Cynthia holding onto his arm.
Simon stopped as he gasped as he watched Aiden kneel on his knee and put the engagement ring onto Cynthia's ring finger. Simon gasped as every member at Camp Buddy saw. Simon then inhaled as he screamed so loud that he ended up waking up.
**Back To Simon's Reality**
Simon woke up as he panted. He looked over at the clock as it was nearly 7 am. Simon groaned as he laid back down. He was sweating as he removed the blanket off him and then got out of bed and grabbed his phone. He checked the group chat and he saw Hunter was online. Simon gulped as he messaged Hunter privately.
"Hey Hunter, what's up?" Simon sent the message as he got up and used the restroom.
"I woke up due to a weird dream. Natsumi is hard asleep so I can't really wake him up to cuddle me. But it's okay… How about you?" Hunter sent the message as he sighed, looking up at the ceiling.
Simon got out of the restroom, still rubbing the hand sanitizer on his hands and grabbed his phone. He saw that Hunter replied back to him.
"I keep thinking about my mom and Aiden getting engaged at Camp Buddy. I just had another dream about it….I don't know…..Hunter do you think maybe we should all just hang out today like at the mall? I need my mind off things." Simon said as he sighed, putting his phone on his chest.
"Let's ask the group chat and see what they say. Also I'm kinda sad that Camp Buddy's age range is 18- 25 years old. And not to mention the girls who went there this year won't be able to go back next year. Miss Yuri and Miss Emilia did a wonderful job taking care of them. :(" Hunter sent the message as he sighed reading the text he sent to Simon.
"Oh yeah. That's still bothering me when we asked Yoshinori that question. I regret it. Now I wish I could've kept my mouth shut." Simon sent the text as he headed to the group chat to message it.
Curious Swan: "Hey everybody, I know y'all are asleep still but do y'all wanna hang out at the mall today? I really need to get my mind off things." Simon sent the message as he was able to try and fall back asleep.
It was now 9 am and everyone replied back to the group chat as they all agreed.
MizPinkieFujo: "Of course, Simon! My dads are going to do some errands today, so me and Yoichi can hang out with you at the mall! :D" Yuri said as she sent the message.
Sexii Wolfboi: "Which mall? Can we go to Hot Topic? I wanna buy some more badass accessories from there. ;)"
Red Hot Tiger: "Ummm guys, can I actually talk to guys in my own group chat, privately please?"
Beetle Senpai: "Of course, Taiga! I think Simon is still asleep so go for it. :)"
Taiga sighed as he did so, messaging a few of his friends privately. Simon finally woke up as he heard his door knocking.
"Yeah?" Simon said as he yawned and laid on his back. Looking at the ceiling.
Cynthia walked in as she smiled at Simon and sat on his bed. Simon looked over at her and smiled.
"Morning, Mommy. Let me guess? McDonald's Pancakes for breakfast?" Simon said as he smiled.
"If that's what you want then I can text Aiden. Your sisters are getting Arby's French Toast Sticks. So." Cynthia said as she smiled at Simon.
Simon looked at her and nodded. Cynthia then frowned as she touched Simon's forehead.
"Are you okay, baby boy? What's wrong?" Cynthia asked her son.
"I'm still processing things, mommy. That's all. But I'm going to the mall today with my friends and Taiga." Simon told her as he sat up.
"That's fine honey. I'll give you some extra money cause I know how you like that one store, Hot Topic, right?" Cynthia said as she smiled.
"You know it, mommy." Simon said as he gave her a small fake smile.
"Alright dear. Imma let you get ready then alright?" Cynthia said as she stood up and left Simon's room.
Simon sighed as he checked his phone.
Gaymer Geek: "I can meet you guys at the mall today."
Rich Fox: "My dad said I can only be there with you guys for two hours. I'm really sorry. :( Ever since we left Camp Buddy, I've been hanging out with you guys less and less. I hate it."
CrisisJa: "I'm sorry to hear that, Felix. So Simon, what can we do?"
Curious Swan: "Either Natsumi can drive us there or we can all meet up there. I'm about to eat breakfast and get ready."
Simon sent the message as he got out of bed and headed to the restroom to wash up and change clothes.
"Taiga, are you sure you wanna do this? I mean it's too soon. You guys are still young." Jalin texted Taiga in private chat.
"Jaxon, we're all over like 20-25 years old. I think I'm very much ready to build a future with Simon. He deserves it. :)" Taiga sent the text as he was getting ready.
"Well, if you say so. Where are you- oh nevermind you already told me. My bad." Jalin said as they laughed at the text they sent to Taiga.
Simon was eating the pancakes that Aiden brought him. Simon smiled as he ate them really slowly. Aiden then looked at Cynthia as the two shared a kiss and smiled at each other. Simon pretended that he didn't notice as he was eating his pancakes. Then he received a message in the group chat.
Chef Raccoon: "Heyo, Simon~! We're here at the mall. Hope to see you soon."
Curious Swan: "Almost done with my breakfast then I'll be on my way, thanks guys~!"
Simon sent the message as he ate his third pancake and then headed upstairs to his room to brush his teeth and meet his friends at the mall. Aiden noticed that Simon was in a hurry as he looked at Cynthia.
"Is he going somewhere, love?" Aiden asked Cynthia as he rubbed her legs.
"He's going to the mall with his friends. I gave him some extra money so he can buy whatever he wants." Cynthia told him as she smiled.
"Mmm. So that means we can have some alone time then~?" Aiden said as he grinned.
"Whoa there big boy. Avery and Erika might come home after eating at Arby's. But I can text Avery and see what she can do today.~ Alright?" Cynthia said as she smiled at Aiden.
Aiden grinned as he kissed her cheek and saw Simon coming downstairs.
"Have fun little buddy, and stay safe too." Aiden told him as he smiled.
"Thanks. I'll see y'all later." Simon said as he walked out and headed to the bus stop and went to the mall.
Fifteen minutes later, Simon arrived as he got off and headed inside. He looked up as he saw Taiga running up to him. Hugging and kissing him as he smiled.
"Hey you.~ I'm glad you made it." Taiga said as he smiled at Simon.
"Thanks love. I'm sorry this is so sudden, but I really just need my mind off things." Simon told him as he sighed.
"Hey, don't sweat it, love. Come on, we were just figuring out what we were going to and Miss Yuri is here." Taiga said as he chuckled.
"Hihi, Simon! It's so good to see you even though it's only been a month." Yuri said as she giggled.
Simon smiled at her. "That I agree with. So who's coming to Hot Topic with me?" Simon said as he had many hands raised.
"Ummm, babe. You go ahead. I'm actually going to check out a store around here. I'll just meet you there and all." Taiga told him as he smiled.
Simon smiled back as the two hugged each other and kissed for one second and then walked different paths. Jalin smiled as she and Taiga both walked to a store that sells rings, necklaces, and whatnot.
"Taiga, last time. Are you sure you wanna do this?" Jalin asked him in concern.
"Yes Jaxon. I'm very sure. I mean come on. Simon is very ready to build a future with me. So let's go in and find something that'll make him squeal forever." Taiga told Jalin as he smiled.

So like, I meant to write this all last month when Summer ended, but things got in the way and I got a little lazy. But I am back to write more fanfics for y'all to read & enjoy!
