Chapter 5
Despite his usual sense around taking risks, Kapura had scouted ahead on his roller skates. Keika was taller so she could catch up if she needed to. To his immediate shock, a hologram of Hakdari popped up in front of him!
"Hakdari?!"
"Kapura, get Keika and Nuhrii with you. I'm in a cave with the other missing Nuurakh. Hurry!"
Keika and Nuhrii caught up just in time. They saw Kapura following a glowing blur. "Kapura, what if it's a…" Keika was cut off by the hologram putting a finger to its mouth in a gesture of "be quiet." This was not a trap, as she had feared. This was an actual guide, as she recognized the energy signature - almost identical to Hakdari.
"Come on! I'll guide you there!"
The three followed Hakdari's hologram until they reached the cave, where it shorted out. They heard screams of agony echoing from inside. The kidnapper apparently had a penchant for torturing victims.
Keika wasted no time in scanning the main material of the cave - iron. Perfect to test out the latest upgrade to her armored jumpsuit. She pushed a button on the back of her hands, and jumped. Much to Nuhrii's surprise - and Kapura's as well - Keika was crawling sideways on the wall of the cave! She kept close to the wall, moving swiftly and silently. The vibrant green-and-gold hues of her jumpsuit turned dull with the light. She dimmed the visible aura that had accompanied her from an early age, keeping the energy inside.
Kapura was quick to follow. His roller skates glided perfectly along the unusually smooth surface. Nuhrii clambered across the rocks so he could stay closer to Keika.
