"Connor!" Shiv ran towards the young man in the hall, throwing her arms around one of his legs.

"Shivvy!" He picked her up, bouncing her in his arms. "How's my favourite little sister?"

"Roman says you're only our half-brother," she informed him.

"Well, Roman's a half-idiot." He tickled her, making her giggle.

"Put her down," said Logan impatiently. "We need to talk business."

"Sure thing, Pop." He lowered Shiv to the ground.

"Will you come and play with my dolls house?" she asked.

"Uncle Connor will come and play with you later," said Logan. He knew 'uncle' was just a term of endearment, but it still made Connor flinch to hear it, like when Logan casually referred to Kendall as his 'eldest'.

"Where are Kenny and Roman?" Connor asked Shiv.

"Playing in the tree house. Ken said I can't go up there until I'm five."

"I'll talk to him. Go play with your dolls first."

"Okay." Satisfied, Shiv ran off to the nursery.

"I'll come and get you in five minutes, baby," Connor called after her.

"Don't call your sister 'baby'," said Logan when Shiv was out of earshot. "It's weird."

"Maybe don't refer to me as her uncle, then." Logan only had to raise an eyebrow and Connor quickly retracted. "Sorry. Shall we go into the study?"
