Happy new year everyone! Toontastic here and this is a new fanfic I came up with and i know what you're thinking, why Ben 10 and Sonic you might ask? Well if you look into both characters you find out that there not so different in comparison when it comes down to the enemies they've taken on and especially when both of them have a certain bad guy whose after them because of the power in their possession. And I think it would be interesting to see how they will help each other throughout this adventure. Plus sonic will have more experience then he did in the movies.

This takes at beginning of Ben 10.

The Prologue

It was a beautiful day on a huge island. A blue blur zooms through mountains, bridges loop-de-loops and many other obstacles. The blue blur happened to be a 3 year old blue humanoid hedgehog. He had blue quills all over his body, he has green eyes, brown boots on, peach arms, a peach potbelly, and a peach muzzle. This hedgehog's name is Sonic the hedgehog. Fastest thing alive and adventure extraordinaire!

He was told to keep his powers hidden, but like any other child, I did the exact opposite. As he happily runs through his island, not giving a care in the world, he makes it to his home, curls into a ball and bumps into his adoptive mother, an owl named longclaw. She watched over the child and raised him like her own.

Long claw: " Sonic, someone could've seen you." She told him as he got up, but obviously he wasn't worried.

Sonic: "No one saw me, I'm too fast." He exclaimed, making long claw sigh.

Sonic: "And… I wanted to give you this." The hedgehog added as he pulled a flower from his quills.

Longclaw reached out to grab it, but then she heard a noise, she looked and saw that they were not alone. A tribe of masked Echidna followed Sonic home, but longclaw had a feeling that they weren't here for Sonic or the power he possessed. Out of instinct, she grabbed the child and closed the door as arrows that were meant for her, hit the door. Before they could climb in and grab them both, Longclaw took sonic and flew to safety, but not before one of the tribal members got a shot on her wing, and made her crash. She realized that in her state, she would not survive, and knew what had to be done.

Longclaw: "Sonic, listen carefully." She told him as she set him down and got up.

Longclaw: "There are things in the galaxy that have power, no being has ever seen, and that means someone will always want it. The only way to stay safe is to stay hidden." She explained

Then from her bag she pulled out a ring, she threw it and it became a portal to another world.

Longclaw: "This world is on the far side of the universe, you should be safe there." She told sonic as she gave the bag to him, it was at this point that he realized what she meant.

Sonic: "Longclaw, I can't go without you." He exclaimed.

Despite not wanting to leave him to fend for himself, Longclaw believed that if she stayed behind he would be safe.

Longclaw: "You must, these rings must be your important possession." She told him when suddenly she hears the tribe coming for them.

Longclaw: "Go sonic, if you're discovered, use one, never stop running." She told him as the hedgehog ran through the portal, but he then turned back to see the owl had blocked the path to the portal as it began to close. In a moment of panic he dropped the bag and ran back in hopes of saving her, but it was too late. As longclaw took one last look at the boy and smiled.

Longclaw: " Goodbye Sonic…" She said as the portal closed

Sonic then fell to his knees in shock,, the one who had taken care of him, his mother figure, was gone. This shook the poor creature, this made him feel afraid…but he knew one thing… he had to hide, he had to run, he had to make sure no got hurt again. So he grabbed the bag of rings and ran as far as he could.

Over the past few weeks, Sonic found himself in a town and he found some stuff to keep him busy and ease him from the burden of losing his family. In the first few weeks of isolation, the boy struggled to find food in the woods, but before he could keep searching for a place to hide and hopefully something to eat, he heard something nearby. Out of curiosity, he went and saw what looked to be an older man and a middle aged woman playing in the park with their daughter and her friend and both the kids looked to be about his age. He watched as the four had a meal on the bench, wishing he could feel that.

As Sonic kept searching for food, he heard something come near and hid behind the bushes.

?: "Hello?"

He heard a voice call out, he took a quick look and saw it was the kids, which made sonic nervous, if he was discovered, he would have to run again, but then something happened, as the two looked in the general direction the hedgehog was hiding the girl said something that would change sonic's life.

?: "Don't worry little guy we won't hurt you, right Ben?" She asked as she turned to face him.

Ben: "Yeah, we brought you something." He told him as he and his friend set down what looked like some fruit.

?: "Are you hungry, Mommy and Daddy told me and Ben if you feed a creature, they might like you. She told him not knowing what the creature really was.

Before Sonic could come out. "Iris, Ben it's time to go." Her father called the kids

Ben: "We gotta go, if we come back we'll bring you more." He said as he ran back to the girl's parents.

The girl was about to follow him, not without saying one last thing to the creature.

Iris: "I'll see you later buddy." She told him and smiled as she ran off.

Sonic quickly looked around before coming out of his hiding spot and grabbed the food. As he consumed it, he felt comfort in what she said, so much so that he decided to follow them, hoping he could find some way to thank them.

It took a while, but Sonic managed to follow them. He watched as they pulled over and dropped off the boy to his parents who were waiting for him outside in front of a decent sized house. He watched as Ben and his parents waved bye to the family before they drove off, Sonic followed the car as it passed several houses before it pulled up and parked in the driveway of their home. As he looked in the window, he saw the Mother tuck Iris in, almost exactly like how longclaw would for him. He then realized he can't do anything without being exposed, as much as it pained him, he couldn't be seen. After some walking and thinking about what he saw, he stumbled upon a cave that was bigger than what he was expecting, he then thought of a solution. He could stay closer to them so he wouldn't have to wait for Iris or Ben to come to him.

Iris's mother slowly closed the door to her daughter's bedroom as she watched how peaceful she was in her sleep til she closed the door completely. She went to go see her husband in the living room but she had a concerned expression on her face. Once she made it to the living room with her husband, she saw him sitting on the couch watching baseball, she sat beside him and laid her head on his shoulder. As they watched the game the husband was starting to sense some tension coming from his wife and decided to ask her about it.

The Father: "Is Iris in bed?" He asked

The Mother: "Huh, y-yes she just went to sleep, s-she must be really tuckered out after having such a fun time with Ben." She nervously

Her husband gave her nod and a small smile in agreement.

The Father: "Yeah, we made sure those two would have a good time while Ben's parents were out on a date." "But uh, Pen is something bothering you, I couldn't help but notice that you seemed a little on edge when you left out of Iris's room." He said with concern

Penny: "Well Mik, I'm just wondering when will Iris awaken her power, I mean will she be able to use the same elements as us, will she be able to do the opposite of our elements or will she be a blank. A being from our world who can't manipulate any elements." She said with worry as her eyes showed sadness

Micheal: "Pen, you shouldn't worry so much. Besides it doesn't matter if she is able to do what we are able to do or not, the plumbers are not even sure if any other elementals escaped the planet in time before it was destroyed by a gigantic magma monster." He said with slight terror in his voice

He never forgot that day that he and his wife had to flee from their home leaving behind everyone they loved. He is glad His daughter doesn't remember this, because she was just a baby when that incident happened.

Penny thought about it for a moment and decided to cast those thoughts aside, and move forward with new life with her family. Even though she misses her family deeply.

Penny: "You're right, all we can do is simply wait for something to come up about our family." "And try to do everything we can to make sure Iris lives a normal life." She said giving Micheal a sweet smile as thanks for reassuring her.

Penny: "But speaking of Iris, what are we gonna do when she gains her powers?" She asked with slight concern

Micheal gave Penny a kiss on the forehead and gently rubbed her shoulder to ease her worries.

Micheal: "Don't worry about it, we'll figure it out when we cross that bridge." He said with a confident smile

But then Penny started to smell something in the house.

Penny: "Is something burning?" She asked

Micheal found that strange cause he didn't remember turning on the oven, but he and Penny noticed smoke from the hallway and hurried to their daughter's room and opened the door to see fire everywhere. They stared in shock and surprise to see that Iris got her powers at such a young age but to see that she set her room on fire so fast. Micheal was the first to snap out of it and Penny was quick to regain her train of thought as well.

Micheal: "Quick you get Iris out the room, I'll get the fire extinguisher." He said as he ran towards the kitchen

Penny: "On it." She said as she walked into Iris's bedroom

As Penny walked into Iris's bedroom the fire wasn't hurting her in any way as she walked towards Iris's bed and carried her daughter bridal style out of the room and into the living room right before Micheal came rushing into the bedroom with the fire extinguisher to put out the fire. She laid Iris down on the couch, placed a pillow under her head and gave her a new blanket as she gave Iris a quick kiss on the forehead. She got up from her couch and was about to go help her husband with the bedroom, not before having one last thought in mind.

Penny: "Who would've thought that she would gain my powers first, I can't wait to see what else She'll be able to do?" She thought with warm smile on her face

Okay Incase you ask here's what Iris and her parents look like.

Penny is a young woman in her late twenties, she has long black hair, Black eyes, and light tanned skin tone with freckles.

Micheal is a middle aged man in he's mid thirties, he has curly black hair, grey eyes, and tanned skin.

Iris is a little girl with long black hair, light grey eyes and light tanned skin with freckles.
