1. Prologue: New World Awakener

Greetings dear Sonic fans, the VISION-KING has something new. Ever read a Manga or seen an Anime about protagonist being transported/summon/reincarnated into another world? Well here's something I cooked up during some spare free time. A man brought to the world of Sonic the Hedgehog, change into an animal, and life is like an RPG around such a person. It's my first time trying something like this, tried to research much on what could give a good RPG feel with Sonic characters, etc. So hope many of you out there will enjoy this…

Prologue: New World Awakener

There was nothing but darkness as far as the eye could see, but something occur within the vast darkness.

Hello!? Is anyone there? Can anyone hear me? I feel so strange, so light headed, like I'm floating on a cloud? I don't recall anything at all? But why? How come? Come to think of it…what was I doing before? Was it something important and I now forgotten it? I can't place it of what's happen or how I'm affected? Come to think about it, who….am I?

The scene slowly opens to reveal a flow of bubbles floating around in the shroud of darkness. Then through the bubbles, shadowy glimpses of figures. Many of those in white rooms & in bed areas. Lastly was a bright light overhead with strange shadow figures talking…

Wait…some words are popping into my head? There was a strange sickness, everyone was worried about it, and I think…I had it too. I…remember closing my eyes, they felt so heavy that I couldn't keep them up any longer. And then, the pain went away. The voices I heard while under bright lights fad away too, everything was quiet. Did I…pass away?

Then at this moment the bubbles became a large amount, swooshing the memory bubbles away. Then the darkness was clearing, revealing a watery surface area & beyond that a glass case. And beyond the glass was a strange looking laboratory setup.

Hugh? What is this? I'm…underwater! But why? I see bubbles constantly, and it looks like…I'm behind glass? Did I actual survive? Did those doctors I now remember, put me in someplace to preserve my body. Am I in suspended animation, was I put in a cryo-chamber to awake in the future? Well, whatever the case maybe, perhaps I can get some answers…

Within the glass there was something moving, attach above was a pipe connecting to a mouth mask & goggles. The individual tried to pat the glass surface, but it only made loud 'bump' sounds one hears when underwater. Then the palm pats became more fist shape, more pounding followed by a rush of bubbles.

Urrrgh…I don't know why, but this situation makes me remember more things I saw on television. Like I'm the guy inside a glass capsule who wants out, but no one's around to help. I could wait, but how long will that take? I have so many questions, I can't wait for someone to let me out. I need outta here…NOW!

"Crack! Crack-crack-crack…" Then without warning, cracks were forming on the glass dome after another fist did some damage.

Hugh…? Did I just…Uh-oh…?

"BREAK!" Suddenly the glass broke which caused much liquid to flush out & the individual fell out due to lost of balance. "SNAP!" At the same time, the sudden reaction of the body weight snap the connector off, leaving the mouth mask attach while a piece of tube dangle.

"Error-Error…Capsule Pressure Containment Destroyed. Personal Will Inspect Cause In Few Moments…" A computer announcer voice was heard making this announcement of the situation that has occurred while taking measure steps procedures.

"Cough-cough, GAAAAaugh!" Then the individual coughs for fresh air before grabbing the goggle mouth mask to take it off & toss on the side. "Urgh….that could have gone better?" Slowly the individual began to get one's balance after what happened. "Pant, at least I'm out, where am I now? A lab facility?" He asked as one's eyes drifted around to study the area. "My voice…it sounds so different?" He held his throat, puzzled by how one's voice had a different pinch then before. "Is there a mirror nearby, I feel like I've forgotten what I even look like?" He asked in wanting something to help get another look at one's self.

Then a mirror was found near a wall spot, the top part was crack while the rest was covered in dust. Slowly a palm hand was used to wipe the dust away, revealing a reflection of what was seen in the dim light area. The creature appeared to be some anthropomorphic/humanoid base lifeform of an animal resembling a cat with pointy triangle ears and a short tail. Besides having orange fur, bright tan yellow color mouth & ears & blue eyes, was that the only wardrobe was a pair of white gloves and red sneakers with white base on the front & ankle areas.

"Hugh…" The feline creature gasped to back away, then slowly tilts his head to see the mirror react to his movements. "What in the world? Am I…some kind of small anthropomorphic feline?" He asked while studying himself, as if finding new features at one's present state. "Woah! I got ears, whiskers, even a tail? I don't understand… How did this happen, why am I smaller and furry? I think the last thing I remember was…being human, right?" The guy was checking himself out and trying to make sense of the situation.

The feline creature was looking around after having finished reviewing his new un-human looking appearance. Then he noticed something on a nearby wall, some letter writing. After wiping away some dust that covered the large spot, a strange symbol with the bold letters 'G', 'U', & 'N' were seen followed by the words they stand for.

"G….U….N….That spells G.U.N. Weird, who labels the word gun? It reminds me of…" The feline asked a bit puzzled when speaking what he read out loud to process this info.

That's when the feline creature stopped because, the short name meant something while reading the other letters that match it.

"Guardian Unit of Nations, AKA G.U.N. But wait a second here, ugh…I remember…I REMEMBER! But it's not POSSIBLE!?" The feline figure was completely baffled & confused at the same time. "The name exist in only one place and ONE PLACE ONLY! And that was…" It was donning to him, he knew only one place where the name exist, then he spoke them out…

"The World Of Sonic The Hedgehog!?"

Now the feline creature began to slowly absorb everything piece by piece. This lab facility, the logo organization name, even the feline's appearance, were all making sense. The feline's characteristics are a striking resemblance to anthropomorphic creatures different from human beings.

"Could this be one of the rare phenomenal events of people getting transported to another world? Or even Reincarnation in a world outside my old world?" The feline creature asked from trying to put the puzzle together in how he came to be here if the last thing he remembered was his last moments being alive before arriving here. "If it's true, then that explains my appearance. I've taken on some kind of…Anthropomorphic form? Ugh, that's a hard word to say in one go. But it does remind me of when I made my Avatar form for one of those games?" The guy was heavily dealing with the fact, he was now an animal; correction, an animal with a small human-like appearance. "Right now, I need more answers! Maybe what's in this lab can help me out. It's worth a try!" He concludes the only options one has left to find answers.

Now we see the feline creature approaching an old console monitor that was connected to the broken glass capsule in the center of the room. The guy began to tap a key, then saw the monitor turn on before trying to use a mouse to click on things while searching for answers.

"Ugh, how do you work these things? Come on…come on…" The feline tried to work the console, but he was not getting anything from randomly pushing buttons. "Bleep!" Then without warning, something appeared on the screen. "YES! Finally, something that can help me out. Looks like a file report of some kind. Hmm?" He cheered while being fascinated by his latest discovery.

-Project X – Early Stages-

A project to recreate what were the last formula ingredients & data by Professor Gerald Robonik. After the events of Project Shadow, the project meant with unforeseen events, leading to matters of sealing away the project completely along with matters of the Eclipse Cannon on Space Colony Ark. After Professor Gerald's demise from having lost his granddaughter Maria, attempts to recreate the Ultimate Lifeform was left with members belonging to G.U.N. After 10 years of deciphering Professor Gerald's notes, failed attempts and the success of a true Ultimate Lifeform, GUN Scientist began the first step down this road and they gave it a name:

– Project X -

"Project X…is that suppose to be me? And I'm suppose to be some kind of experiment to become another Ultimate Lifeform?" The feline creature asked a bit surprised in learning what he's suppose to be. "Woah, this feels like I just found myself awaken in a body almost like Shadow The Hedgehog!? I be pretty amazed by this if I wasn't terrified at the same time? What else is there?" After having experienced a moment of excited joy with motions of concern, he tried to continue reading the file for more updates on intel about…well, himself.

-Project X – Development Stage-

The project was a difficult challenge to overcome, because of things not meeting up to certain standards. The Biolizard was regarded as the prototype when aiming to create a creature with immortality, even various experiments severely weakened it to fallback on a life support system to help maintain it's life. During the developments of Project Shadow, certain blocks made it impossible to overcome even by Professor Gerald. But when the Black Comet pass by, G.U.N. learn what Gerald did to make Project Shadow a success. However, without any contacts with the Black Comet, Project X had face problems due to an error in the coding data and stabilizing the DNA. It seem like Project X would not exceed Project Shadow.

"An error in my coding data and DNA!? Wait, are they saying that I'm…a failed version of what they wanted to create?" The feline creature exclaimed in utter shock in realizing a harsh truth awaited him. "Sigh…Would have been cool if I was like Shadow. Hugh, well on the bright side…I'm not like the Biolizard creature. That could have been bad cause I don't know if I would have been a mindless beast by then?" He signed in realizing his excitement came crashing down while trying to remain positive. "There seems to be a last report?" He found one last update before opening the file.

-Project X – Final Conclusion-

For the last 30-40 years, scientist have tried to improve the project without resorting to drastic changes like what happen with the prototype Biolizard. But with the results not improving and the newly developed Ultimate Lifeform not showing signs of life, Project X was about to face termination. The work to recreate Professor Gerald's Ultimate Lifeform Research was going to be Shutdown. But before anything could happen, a virus had affected the system & turn G.U.N.'s own Robots to not tell Friend & Foe apart. We were ordered to abandon the secret island base due to being compromised by an unidentified enemy and so all research would be sealed away to never leave these walls.

This report is the last entry before we scientist fled. Our 40 Years of work remains in a stasis of never coming to life.

Final Entry Report On Project X

-Shutdown-

When enough was read, the file soon zoom out, leaving someone with plenty to think about in a lot of ways.

"They shutdown the project, and just left it here? Doesn't that mean they left 'ME' here in this abandon lab facility?" The feline creature ponders in piecing what he's heard to reach one's own self-conclusion. "Wait! Something doesn't seem right here? If Project X was a failure, how is it 'I' came to be in this body and I'm very much living. Was something missing that these guys failed to guess?" He was stuck on a question that had no clear answer, how was a secret project in creating a new Ultimate Lifeform a dead end, yet he's living proof of being awake & alive.

"Beep! Beep!" Then a loud noise was heard on the announcement system. "Test Chamber Doors Opening! Security Procedure In Full Effect." The computer voice announced the procedures of what's about to take place soon.

"Wait! WHAT!?" The feline creature yelped as that came out of nowhere.

Then from the large double doors nearby began to open, then some number of robots hovers in.

The first four resemble grey balls with blue outlines and armor on the front. On top of them, they have a sharp blue cap with a red-striped edge. Below this cap, reaching from just behind the edge of the front armor to far behind the back, they have a horizontal yellow turbine disk with a red & blue-striped frame. On the face area, they also have a single yellow, red & white lens.

IDENTIFIED ENEMY - GUN ROBOT:

-MONO BEETLES-

The other four were resembling the Mono Beetles, but look like grey balls with blue outlines & armor on the front. On top of them, they have a sharp blue cap with a red-striped edge. Below this cap, reaching from just behind the edge of their front armor to far behind the back, they have a horizontal yellow turbine disk with a red & blue-striped frame. On the face spot, they also have a single yellow, red and white lens. Unlike the Mono Beetle, however, these things come equipped with a thin red gun barrel on their bottom & box-shaped magazines on their lower rear.

IDENTIFIED ENEMY - GUN ROBOT:

-GUN BEETLES-

"No way! Those are one of those G.U.N. Model Robots! I think they were called Mono Beetles And Gun Beetles?" The feline was surprised in recognizing these bots from the Sonic Universe. "Um, hi there…nothing off here, just me waking up. You know, Project X…that G.U.N. wanted to complete? So…we okay?" He was trying to take light steps in how to reason with a machine that there's nothing wrong here.

That's when the Mono Beetles began firing Energy Beam Emissions without warning. This caused the feline creature to yelp to duck, dodge, then runaway.

"DEFINITELY NOOOOT OKAAAAAAY!?" The feline creature yelled at the top of his lungs.

Soon the feline creature was running around the lab, trying to find cover against those attacking him. When the dust was clearing, the Beetles were using their scans to locate the target. But the said target hid beneath some fallen debris, trying not be seen. Everything was happening so fast, one needed time to get one's thoughts together.

"Great! I died from sickness. Then woke up reincarnated in a new body in a world of one's favorite game, and I'm about to be BLASTED by ROBOTS!? The only thing missing now, is the villain banter." The feline creature rolled his eyes in seeing how things are just not going right today.

The creature yelps as a Mono Beetle flew overhead, making one stay silent for the time being. Once it was gone, allowed one more time to think…

"Okay-okay, calm down…think for a minute…your not human anymore, your in the body of a humanoid animal type that's like a cat & it's suppose to be an early development of the Ultimate Lifeform." The feline creature tries to give one a pep-talk in trying to narrow down things to help one's current pin-down situation. "Hugh, just gotta find a moment to strike, shouldn't be too hard? There's only a few of them bots that can't attack!? Gotta attack at the right moment…think of this like a GAME! That's right, fight like how you play in Video Games." He tries to give himself more self-confidence, believing it's like how one fights in a game.

Then when one of the Mono Beetles flew over the debris, the feline creature narrow his eyes before punching…

"HYAAAH!/POW!" That's when the feline creature leaps above to deliver a punch attack that knock the Mono Beetle down. "I GOT IT!" He cheered in having made progress in dealing damage.

But then the Mono Beetle managed to recover before it was join by the others to fly after the mystery attacker.

"YIKES! They Got ME!" The feline creature yelps to run around the room dodging the Gun Beetles Energy Beam Emissions stack patterns. "Okay, when in doubt….TOSS SOMETHING!" He issued in deciding to try something else to aid one's case.

That's when the feline creature ran towards the debris to grab some large chunks to throw some at the bots. Since the Beetles did not respond to evade, the objects did do some damage to cause the Gun Beetles to temporally be stun.

"Woah! That not only damaged them other bots, but stun dangerous types too!?" The feline creature stated from realizing what he managed to do.

Using the newfound knowledge presented to him, the feline creature began to devise a plan of attack. First going around to find debris objects to throw to damage the enemy while trying to use any physical attacks. First was to stun the Gun Beetles, then focus on defeating the Mono Beetles. Using whatever method between practicing one's skill of current abilities: Throwing, Jumping & Punching attacks.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!" After enough was done from jumping around throwing objects and punching work, the first FOUR Mono Beetles were destroyed.

"Okay, that takes care of those Mono Beetles. Looks like these Gun Beetles are on their last leg." The feline creature noticed that after much work taking care of the easy enemies, only the stronger ones remain just barely.

Now the real challenge was starting as the feline creature was keeping one's guard up in fighting against four well-armed robots. First was using whatever remaining debris was around, throw to stun the Gun Beetles while evading their Energy Beam Emissions. However the enemies were harder to damage due to their different design.

"HAH!/SLASH!" Then at a single moment, the feline creature delivered a SLASH attack.

"KABOOM!" That attack against one of the weaken Gun Beetles was enough that it explode afterwards.

"Yes! Seems like beneath these gloves, are sharp claws." The feline creature cheered in seeing his hands can do more then punch. "Time to deal a final blow. HERE GOES! RARRRR!" He lets off a mighty battle cry as he runs and leaps over one to reach the other on the top.

"SLASH!/KABOOM!" The next Gun Beetle was dealt with a slash blow that caused the damage to blow it up. "KICK!/KABOOM!" Then dropping down, the creature performed a Drop Kick on the second Gun Beetle which was strong enough to puncture and blow it up.

"ARRRrughhh!/PUNCH! PUNCH! PUNCH!" The feline creature began to deliver a barrage of punches on the final Gun Beetle left standing while temporally stun.

"KABOOM!" Now the final Gun Beetle was destroyed, there were no more enemies left as the feline creature landed on the ground with a chance to feel relieved.

"YES! I DID IT!" The feline creature cheered from having won this difficult battle. "I survived against killer robots! And I never felt so ALIVE! This must be the adrenaline I'm feeling right now? But still, I never felt so good!" He felt like so alive after having obtain victory from a near death defining experience after just waking up in this new world.

-Beep-Beep--

"HUGH!?" The feline creature yelped, because after that strange beep noise, a strange light blue rectangle appeared in front of him. "Is this a…Pop-Up Screen?" He asked from what it was that he has just come across.

"Wait, did I just see what I think I just seen? It's like something from playing RPG Games?" The feline creature was puzzled by what he was seeing here. "Level Experience and Item Drops, if this isn't like an RPG, I don't know what else it could be?" He was conflicted, but this was truly starting to look like his fight was like something out of playing RPG Games with level functions.

Then something else appeared that replaced the first pop-screen. And what came with it was another surprise…

HP – Health Points. MP – Mana Points. Okay, so my health is good & apparently I can use MP, question is when do I use it?" The guy was very focused on the things that were important. "The others seem to be my Attributes of what my body is capable of. But what are Attribute Points…?"

-Beep-Beep-

Then another beep noise was heard before something appeared in the pop-up screen.

***GUIDE WINDOW***

*Level-Up System: Is a unit to measure quantity of one's progression through daily challenges. Experience points are awarded generally for the completion of Quest Events, overcoming obstacles and battle against Enemies/Opponents. When sufficient amounts of experience is obtained, levels ups occur, achieving the next stage of character development. Such events usually increase the character statistics, such as maximum health, magic & strength, & allow one to acquire new abilities or improve existing ones.

*Attribute Points: While level-ups can significantly increase certain areas of the body, the attributes can be increased via Status Points gained from leveling. This provides aid in developing unique fighting styles, plus when certain number requirements are achieves, unlocks new skill/abilities. Only 5 pts are given during each Level-Up or by completing certain Quest.

-Strength (STR) - A measurement reflecting how physically strong one is revolving around the Body's display of Might & Power. Strength often controls the maximum weight the user can carry, perform melee attack and/or deal damage. There are even sometimes were one can land Critical Attacks which break through defenses and deal heavier Battle Damage.

-Defense (DEF) - A measurement reflecting how resilient one shows in Resistance which often displays the strength of Fortitude & Resilience. Defense usually decreases taken damage by either a percentage or a fixed amount from each separate attack. Certain occasions where combining one's Defense & Vitality show results in holding one against tough ongoing & incoming enemy attackers.

-Vitality (VIT) - A measurement reflecting how sturdy one is revolving around the body's hold of continue actions through Stamina, Endurance & Recovery. Vitality often influences certain attacks when they land on the subject, provides resistances for special types of damage (poisons, illness, heat etc.) and fatigue. Vitality increases HP and provides HP Regeneration.

-Dexterity (DEX) - A measurement reflecting how agile one is revolving the Body's Quickness display in both Agility & Reflexes. Dexterity controls the attack by the movement speed and accuracy, as well as evading an enemy/opponent's attack. When Dexterity is increased will provide better Evasion Mobility against Slow Moving attacks & keep up with fast opponents of the same level.

-Intelligence (INT) - A measurement reflecting how one's problem-solving ability revolves the Mind's display of Knowledge & Intellect. Intelligence often controls the ability to comprehend foreign languages and one's skill in magic. When Intelligence is increased, so too can it increase MP, allowing more usage of stronger skill base abilities.

-Wisdom (WIS) - A measurement reflecting how one is revolving around common Sense and/or Spirit which also displays the Wits & Psyche. Wisdom often aids in the controls of one's ability to cast certain spells, communicate to mystical entities, or discern other characters' motives or feelings. The increase with Mana Resistance & Magic Resistance is useful against attackers, plus provides Mana Regeneration the higher one's Wisdom is compared to others that are wise.

-Luck (LUK) - A measurement reflecting how one is revolving around the center of Luck which displays both Chance & Fate. Luck might influence anything, but mostly random items, encounters and outstanding successes/failures. The best Luck in battle is landing Critical Hit Damage against foes & acquiring rare drop offs of fallen opponents. The more increase one has in Luck, the better chances against survivals & fated moments.

Further developments will unlock new features in helping one's growth progress.

"I don't believe this…that means I could increase any of these things and become even stronger!" The feline creature gasped in realizing what sort of deal he was handed. "They NEVER had anything like THIS in the Sonic Universe? This might almost be a cheat, but…I'll take what I can get. Speaking of getting, if I level up from that enemy group, if I fought more, how much stronger could I get?" He held his chin to carefully think things through a bit, given that what he's got is not something any ordinary person could acquire. "Guess it's time to go with the flow and LEVEL-UP!" He smiles in thinking he's got some major work to perform.

Now we see the feline creature leaving the chamber to find himself in an open hallway. While going down a one pathway, there would appear to be large amounts of rubble either scattered or some blocking other doors. But there was a map that explained one was in the bottom floor and the only exit was a few floors up. However around a large open hallway, there was over TEN Gun Beetles acting out security protocol.

"More of these Gun Beetles! Hmmm, there's almost too many for me to take on alone, how can I change that?" The feline creature was excited, but also concern by the sheer overwhelming numbers: then noticed the area and studied the structure. "Say, that support there looks weak. I think I can use that. I remember in different RGP Games, if one attacks an enemy from behind, you can decrease their health & temporally stun them. Lets give that a go!" He issued in having spot what could be the key to tipping the scales in his favor.

That's when the feline creature attacked a weak support pillar by jumping to perform a Drop Kick that dislodge it, which caused a crack reaction of the ceiling walls.

"KAPOW!" Then what was above fell and buried many of the Gun Beetles.

"Now's my chance!" The feline creature issued in seeing a perfect chance to strike.

While the bots were temporally stun, the feline creature began to use many punches, slashes, even kicks to help lower the numbers. When it looked like that wasn't gonna be enough, he had one of the reward items, Grenade, then used it to toss over the center.

"KABLAM!" Then a big explosion covered the 10 Gun Beetles which completely destroyed them: not a single one was left.

-Beep-Beep-

Soon another alarm notice was heard, before a pop-up screen appeared.

-Enemies Have Been Defeated!-

Level 4 - Level 7!

"I reach Level 7 after that attempt!? This seems almost too good to be true! If I keep going like this, how much stronger will I get?" The feline creature was excited and curious, but then noticed something he overlooked: when checking his Status Window screen showed the current name for himself. "But my name, do I really have to go with the fact of being called Project X? Hugh, then again, I don't remember my own name. So, I guess I just have to make it work." He signed from realizing that he's got a name that makes him sound like a weapon.

We soon see the now dubbed Project X continuing to make it through the other parts of the hallways while heading up a flank of stairs. But just as one was approaching an open area, the feline creature stopped to hide. There was strange foot stomping sounds, much different then the SIX Gun Beetle robots which don't have feet. When taking a peak, what was seen nearly shock one's eyes on the account of THREE Robots that strike as different models.

"No…way…?" Project X gasped slightly while the three bots came into view as he observe them from behind the hallway corner.

The first had blue, white, yellow, red and gray humanoid robots with a top-heavy upper torso. They have a flat head with no neck, a single red eye, and a drop-shaped blue cap covering it. On their torso, they have red and blue chest plating with the number "02" on the left side and GUN's symbol on the right. They also have legs with large kneecaps, thick forearms, a hand on their left arm, and a large, red and black-barreled gun on their right arm.

IDENTIFIED ENEMY - GUN ROBOT:

-GUN HUNTER-

The second was nearly identical to the Gun Hunters model type series, except they are blue, white, yellow, red and black humanoid robots with a top-heavy upper torso. They have a flat head with no neck, a single red eye, and a drop-shaped blue cap covering it. On their torso they have red and blue chest plating with the number "02" on the left side and GUN's symbol on the right. They also have thin legs with large kneecaps, thick forearms, a hand on the left arm, and a short, yet thick rifle with a sharp laser barrel on the right arm.

IDENTIFIED ENEMY – GUN ROBOT:

-LASER HUNTER-

The other model type was nearly identical to the Laser Hunters series, except they are blue, white, yellow, red and black humanoid robots with a top-heavy upper torso. They have a flat head with no neck, a single red eye, and a drop-shaped blue cap covering it. On their torso they have red and blue chest plating with the number "02" on the left side and GUN's symbol on the right. They also have thin legs with large kneecaps, thick forearms, a hand on the left arm, and a rifle identical to the Laser Hunters' on their right arm. What distinguish them are the tall red shields emblazoned with the number "02" they each wield.

IDENTIFIED ENEMY – GUN ROBOT:

-SHIELD HUNTER-

"Woah! Those are different G.U.N. Robots then I was hoping for who to run into? Gun Hunter, Laster Hunter & Shield Hunter. If I remember those were apart of the Hunter Series unlike the Beetle Series." Project X exclaimed in finding himself facing this type of enemy was a little much. "Still…Lets see if the same tactic works twice even against different adversaries!?" The guy exclaim to try to test out a theory to handle such foes.

Then Project X thrown a Grenade over the ceiling just as the bots noticed but…

"BOOM!" The Grenade exploded, causing the debris to bury them underneath while only their heads were seen sticking out of the rubble. "SLASH-SLASH, SLASH…SLASH-SLASH, SLASH!" Then Project X luckily was striking many slash attacks on the bots it saw the eye lens. "KABLAM!" Then in a moment afterwards, explosions occurred that covered the area as the Gun Beetles were totaled after a short circuit from the scratch damage overloaded and blew them up which made a smokescreen.

"Pant-pant…did that finish them all?" Project X panted from feeling like that was rushed, but he hope none were left.

Suddenly there were mechanical sounds being heard, as one saw through the smokescreen a shock: the G.U.N. Robots Hunter units were a bit damaged, but were still running.

"Okay, so maybe the Hunter Series is slightly tougher then I thought?" Project X exclaim to say before dodging a Laser Shot that just slightly burned off some fur. "Grrr….okay, slightly tougher. But I can dish some OUT!" He growls in deciding to put up more of a fight against these guys.

Project X had no choice but to use up a lot more Grenades on hand. "BOOM-BOOM!" The first two were to slow down the Gun Hunter and Laser Hunter. "SLASH!-SLASH!" Then Project X focused on Shield Hunter by slipping around in the center and slashing his claws on the shield.

"THOUS-THOUS!/BAM!" Laser Hunter and Gun Hunter fired their weapons but the Shield Hunter's weapon stop those shots. "CRACK!/BREAK!" Without warning, Project X managed to break what kept the Shield in place, leaving the Shield Hunter without any defense. "THOUS!/BAM!/KABOOM!" Without any defense, the Shield Hunter was destroyed by the others firing to hit Project X.

"Lost a Shield, well now it's mine!" Project X proclaimed in having acquired an actual piece of equipment.

"THOUS-THOUS!/BAM-BAM!" Laser Hunter and Gun Hunter tried to hit the moving target, but now it had a shield to protect it's self. "THOUSssssssvhmmm…" Then Laser Hunter was firing a strong lasting Laser Beam to breech the shield's defense, but Project X moved until he had his back expose to the Gun Hunter.

"That's it…Just take the bait…" Project X muttered in awaiting for the other bot to take an easy shot at his unguarded side.

"BAMvhmmm…/THOUSSvhhmm…" When Gun Hunter fired a powerful charged Gun Shot, Project X toss the shield up and duck down from the laser. "POWfruvhmmm…/KABOOM!" And that ended up causing both high-dense Laser Shot and Charge Shot to impact both bots which were blown up into scrap metal.

"Few…I knew there was a reason that stunt was famous for a reason!?" Project X smiled with relief in seeing how that all played out.

-Beep-Beep!-

When that sound was heard, something was popped up along with a voice announcement.

"Wow!? Level 10! That's the first step to anything in RPG Games!?" Project X exclaim excitedly in seeing his status risen to a good balance right now. "And now I've gotten myself a shield, truth be told it's a little big for me, but I'll manage somehow?" The guy approached to pick up his new Shield which due to that battle he never realized, the laser damage enough to split the center horizontally. "Hugh, so much for having a big shield, but this works out fine for me." The guy shrug off to hold onto the shield on his left side. "I think I might be alright now. If these were the best bots, then they must've been kept to prevent me from going pass this point? Which means, there's something extra important in such a general direction?!" The guy ponders in realizing what sort of hidden riches may lie in wait.

The scene shows that as Project X was moving pass the area he fought in, approach a sliding door. When he entered the place it was another Test Chamber of sorts were apparently a dozen scientist were once working in. But what really caught the guy's attention outside of seeing a left doorway out, was the center had a glass dome shielding something.

"What do we have here?" Project X approach to push a button, which opened the center glass dome for him to see the object. "I don't get it, what is this? Some kind of…high-tech eye-wear?" The object was some semi-transparent colored monocle that covers the left eye

-Key Item – Scouter-

Description: A useful tool for the purposes of information-gathering. A Scouter's primary purpose is to calculate the individual power level or energy concentration of biological characters by converting the readings into numbers. Even reading out electrical energy used in machines. They also serve the purpose of gathering information, and for long-range communication. A scouter is capable in keeping track of the time in the day along with the year date. Inform users the location of someone, by their energy reading or signal frequency. During combat, provides aid in the user wanting to aim at certain targets.

"No way!? Is this thing suppose to help me analyze my enemies? Even provide target-locks on them." Projet X was stumped by having found such a rare find: it's almost like having the Analysis ability to help players identify targets. "Hugh, well…I guess it could be very handy." Project X shrug off the shoulders as he decided to grab the object and equip it onto himself.

Suddenly alarms were going off as Project X yelped from the sudden interruption while listening in.

-ATTENTION! UNAUTHORIZE REMOVAL DETECTED! SECURITY MEASUREMENTS ENGAGE!-

"Well, so much for this being easy? Well, may as well try this thing out!?" Project X shrug off his shoulders and just go with the flow of how things are moving.

That's when a large garage door slider was seen opening up. Then a bunch of G.U.N. Robots came out: 25 Mono Beetles, 25 Gold Beetles, 5 Gun Hunters, 5 Laser Hunters, and 5 Shield Hunters. Project X seem to be sweating, but then remembered he had the Scouter, so he used it to determine the enemy units.

*Mono Beetle Lv.5*

The Mono Beetle has no method of attack, unlike most other robots in the Beetle series, and will only hover around in the air. Sometimes, it might be invisible and suddenly appear when a character comes near their position. When a Mono Beetle spies the target, its 'eye' will light up and it will bob up and down excitedly.

*Gun Beetle Lv.5*

POWER LEVEL: 250

Each Gun Beetle has different ways of attacking. Some Gun Beetles do not attack unless the target is close to them, while others will attack with two shots per second, even if the target is far. In rare cases, the Gun Beetles may not even shoot at all. Gun Beetles are not immune to their shots however, so, if a Gun Beetle is hit by another one's shot, it will be destroyed.

*Gun Hunter Lv.10*

POWER LEVEL: 500

Gun Hunters either drop down from above or stay in a hunched-down standby position before entering an attack mode when the target is in range. They mostly remain in one spot from where they take aim at the target, but will hover around them in rare cases. They usually appear alone, but can appear in groups of two to three. When engaging the target, Gun Hunters attack by locking onto them when they are within range before firing a yellow, arrow-shaped bullet. They repeat this once every second. Their shots have a range of roughly five-six meters before they vanish, and can pass through Containers. Some Gun Hunters can also shoot blue gel which will immobilize the opponents they hit, making it easier for the Gun Hunters to shoot them.

*Laser Hunter Lv.10*

POWER LEVEL: 500

Laser Hunters either drop down from above or stay in a hunched-down standby position before entering attack mode when the target is in range. They mostly remain in one spot from where they take aim at the target. When engaging the target, the Laser Hunters lock onto them when they are within range and charge their rifle briefly before firing a laser. These lasers are also quite harmful; one shot can reduce target's Health Gauge by 20%. As they charge their laser, however, the Laser Hunters cannot change their shots' trajectory, giving the opponent an opportunity to evade them.

*Shield Hunter Lv.10*

POWER LEVEL: 500

Unlike other Hunters series units, the Shield Hunters never drop down from above or appear in standby mode. Instead, they remain in one spot from where they take aim at the target. The Shield Hunters' shields can deflect any frontal attack without taking damage. Like the Laser Hunters, when engaging the target, the Shield Hunters lock onto them when they are within range and charge their rifle briefly before firing a laser. As they charge their laser however, the Shield Hunters cannot change their shots' trajectory, giving the target the opportunity to evade them. Also, charging lasers make them put their shields down, leaving them vulnerable.

Project X was a bit baffled by the information, but reality dawn to him about the robots in the room.

"Okay, so I'm over my head. But if I use the data I got on how strong they are, I might just make it through." Project X muttered under his breath in trying to figure out the best possible plan to deal with these foes.

Just then Project X had to evade the number of shots from Mono Beetles and Gun Beetles. But then when he threw some Grenades to take them out, Gun Hunter and Laser Hunter fired their attacks that stop the creature from taking down the robots. And even the Shield Hunters acted to use their shields when Project X tried to slash the weapons off the other humanoid robots, only to be force back.

"What I wouldn't give to turn the tides, at this rate, I'll have nothing left." Project X complained in seeing his quick ability, jumping, even clawing and punching aren't enough and neither are bombs if they don't make contact. "Wait, I have MP, Magic Powers, but I don't know anything on how to tap into them? How can I acquire…" He was puzzled in how he can utilize the ability to perform the use of MP.

Then a pop screen appeared for Project X to read about the latest news.

STATUS POINTS: One is given two options with Status Points: 1st is to Raise Attributes and the 2nd acquire Skill Abilities. Obtaining 5 points from each Level Up and performing different Quest Events.

"Wait, the Status Points….I forgotten about that? So if I use it, could I gain something?" Project X replied in surprise in what he was able to learn just now. "Um, how many do I have now?" The guy asked the pop-up screen to help in the numbers.

"It's only 100?" Project X exclaimed before he yelped from more enemy fire, and quickly moved to find more cover to think. "Urgh, okay let's review here of my options? Besides increasing my own attributes, what I lack are things Sonic's group possess. Special Moves and such?" He was pondering on something like that which could give one an edge. "So, what can I acquire with 100 points and are very strong?" He asked in wanting something to help give him an edge of what Sonic's group are capable of to at least stand a better fighting chance compared to normal civilian standards.

*Beast-King Fist Lv.1 (MP 35): The ability of launching an aura in the shape of a lion's head from the fist. Capable of choking the life out of a tough opponent with the ultimate mystery channeled into a single fist strike. Cost: 50 SP

"These are my only options for what I have to spend and what I lack?" Project X exclaimed from reviewing the pop-up screens on the selected choices: but then yelped from my laser fire destroying his cover. "Well let's see how good they are, give me those skills!" Project X insist in deciding to go with these strong choices.

-ACKNOWLEDGE-

SKILL ABILITIES – ACQUIRED!

With that the pop-up screen vanished once the selection was done and the 100SP dropped to 0 in response to having been spent. Suddenly, Project X was beginning to feel a strange glowy aura force wrapped around his entire being: as if being granted what he was asking for.

"ARRRRRrrrrrough!?" Project X let off a battle cry, as if channeling a flow of powerful aura all over him: but he left himself expose to his attackers. "HOWLING CRUSHER!" He let off a loud booming sound as he takes a deep breath. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…." Without warning, Project X fires a sonic scream of concussive force directly at the robots.

"POWWWFruvhmmmm…/BAM-BAM, BOOM-BOOM, KABOOM-KABOOM!" The sheer power of a roaring voice of a lion not only knocked the GUN Robots against the wall, it even destroyed the number of them through different explosions.

"Pant-Pant-Pant, Pant…" Once the roaring cease, Project X was seen panting from having lost his breath while just holding on to not drop. "Wow, amazing!? That nearly took a lot out of me? I think the notice note mention Howling Crusher zaps away 200 MPs. But if it's at Level 1, maybe if it gets stronger, the cost might be lesser? Maybe?" He stated in realizing the advantage of this powerful move he's obtain.

Then something was seen making loud sounds through the dust, and it was reveal to be only the 3 Shield Hunters. Apparently they had their shields defend against the attack to just barely withstand while taking half the damage; some gears were a bit broken that movement was slower.

"Still alive and kicking? Well now I can try my second move." Project X exclaimed in seeing with those that have yet to go down, he'll use his second ace. "BEAST-KING FIST!" He clutch his right fist while announcing this attack.

"POWFruvhmmm…/KABLAAAAM!" Project X launched a blazing aura shaped like a lion's head from the fist which impact and destroyed a Shield Hunter.

"In-incredible? After what I endured before, that seem too easy? Hugh?" Project X was distracted by this surprise feat until he heard two Shield Hunters stepping forth. "Save the thinking for later, here's two more! BEAST-KING FIST!" Project X exclaimed in seeing the last remaining enemies before channeling his last shots.

"POWFRUVHMMM-POWFRUVHMMM/KABLAM-KABLAM!" Project X managed to shot two more aura form lion heads that hit the last remaining Shield Hunters, causing them to blow up from the destructive impact.

"Pant….Pant…" Project X drop on his knees, panting from being completely exhausted. "I guess I don't know my own strength…or my limits at this time?" The guy expressed his thoughts on having gone pass what his body can dish out. "Cost me almost 35 MP, nearly ran out in the end? But worth it to take them down." He exclaimed in knowing the risk was worth binging down such foes.

After hearing that alert sound, something was soon announced afterwards.

"Hugh…wow…just wow? Apparently the enemies were tough enough to give me problems, but help me level up to 15. It's not bad." Project X signed with relief in having managed to overcome this. "Well, at least that helps me narrow down what I'm capable of." The guy wipes the pop-up screen away, having absorb enough intel about his current self. "I think I'm almost out of this place? Maybe that door will finally lead me out of here." He looks to the only thing that can take him outside of this area besides where he came in.

Having looked around the chamber one last time, Project X began to head out. The area was a long hallway with different zig-zag patterns. After walking for a few minutes and taking stairs leading up, he began to hear…footsteps.

"Hmm, I hear something ahead? Metallic? Yes, but it's too light to be one of those Hunter Series? Then what…" Project X was curious in hearing a noise different from what he's use to: the Hunter Series units are bigger so they make louder footsteps.

That's when something was seen entering the new area, which surprised anyone after seeing floating drones or tall humanoid bots. They were a humanoid, mostly mustard-yellow theme color robots. Possessing five-fingered olive-brown hands and feet in the shape of shoes with orange soles. The upper arms, abdomen and thighs were olive-brown, and had spherical orange joints as shoulders and pelvis-legs joints. Relatively thick armor around the forearms and lower legs which each one possessing orange cuffs, thick kneecaps, and some kind of jetpack on the back. On the chest, had three beige circles. Lastly, possessing a spherical head with a beige mouth plate, blue eyes, and orange caps for ears. The fin plate on the forehead which were shaped like a four-pointed star with a split in the top spike, and a chest plate. There were others which had fin plate on the foreheads only had a four-pointed star with a split in the top spike. Last noticed object was seeing they carry a handheld energy blade. Project X used the Scouter to determine what he found.

ENEMY IDENTIFIED – GIZOID:

-GIZOID-

*Gizoid Lv.10*

POWER LEVEL: 600

The Gizoid are the most basic combat models in the Gizoid line and also the weakest version of the Gizoids. They are, however, still fearsome fighters, capable of laying waste to entire armies. Their basic attack is slashing their opponents with their energy blade. Following the Gizoids' ability to copy combat moves, they can perform all of the scan targets moves.

ENEMY IDENTIFIED – GIZOID:

-GIZOID MK. II-

*Gizoid Mk. II Lv.20*

POWER LEVEL: 850

The Gizoid Mk. IIs are slightly stronger from normal Gizoids. Their basic attack is slashing their opponents with their energy blade. Following the Gizoids' ability to copy combat moves, the Gizoids can perform all scan targets moves.

"Wait a second, are those really…Gizoids!?" Project X exclaim completely puzzled by what he was seeing here, it was something very off. "What are they doing here? In a GUN facility?" The guy would have pondered more, but these new enemies were approaching his location. "Ugh…Ask questions after I dealt with the problem!?" He groans to put aside things until he's cleared the moving danger.

Using quick reactions, Project X managed to slip in while using the Grenades to cause some explosive destruction. Using the explosions for cover gave Project X time to execute his Hit & Run tactic of kicking and slashing the targets. However, not all of the Gizoid were easy, there were the slight stronger models, the Gizoid Mk II. They were able to perform better then the other 15 Gizoids, and there's still 25 of them to go. And soon they began to copy and perform the same tactics as Prohject X which made him yelp since the robots' copy style was stronger and faster then his own.

"Great, one of the things I forgot to include was they can copy abilities. Besides them being Gizoid, there are some from the Gizoid Mk. II. So slightly stronger foes make this harder." Project X exclaim in recognizing those a bit different from the other similar looking models. "Facing these kinds of enemies, and their levels are higher then those G.U.N. Robot Series. I need to get them all in one shot. Which means I have to evade and let them chase me to where I'll have the high ground." The guy finished formulating a plan of attack to aid in turning this situation completely around.

Project X then went down in the center to leap through the Gizoid numbers to book it. But along the way, he was not careful as some Energy Blades managed to land some impact hits on Project X's body.

"URRaugh!?" Project yelped from feeling the sharp pain inflicted that damaged his body. "Ugh…that hurt…a LOT?" The guy felt a bit sluggish, his health standards dropped almost by 50 percent from that attack alone. "At this rate, my HP will drop long before I reach a spot to counterattack. No choice then." He remarked in seeing there was no way out except for one choice. "I'll use the SP to increase my HP AND MP!" He proclaim in deciding to use what he kept saved and use it right now.

Project X's body began to emit another glow, as the wound he suffered faded a bit to become somewhat shallow. The guy felt like his senses were returning, not at 100 percent but close enough to help one survive.

"Ugh, might not be perfect but its good enough, now I just gotta hurry!?" Project X groans from feeling himself a bit better and stronger, just enough to keep going.

As fast as Project X could go, he was running while leading a whole flock of Gizoid Mk. IIs along the way. What was shocking was seeing they were already copying the guy's speedy performance and jump action to catch Project X by surprise. Nearly every time, Project X was almost cornered while suffering any battle damage he couldn't evade even while using his Shield for defense.

"Urgh! They're still following, problem is I need a moment to attack without being skewered!?" Project X complained as if this was not gonna be easy if he doesn't come across a solution soon. "Hugh, there's an open corner in the middle of the hallway!?" He realized what was before him could be the answer he needed right now.

Running as fast as Project X could muster, he directed himself to lead the Gizoids directly where the hallway splits between a path and a corner area. The robots followed the target as he made an illogical choice down the corner that lead to a dead end. But when Project X knew was that it quickly turned around to face the incoming swarm thinking they can win with overwhelming numbers.

"Let's hope this works. Take This! HOWLING CRUSHER" Project X proclaim as he announced his attack with a deep breath. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…" He fires a sonic scream of the concussive force blasting across the whole room.

"BAM-BAM, BAM, BOOM-BOOM-BOOM…" The attack hit the number of Gizoids as many of the first front rows were blowing up: but when the dust cleared, more were rushing through the wreckage.

"Pant-pant….Not Yet!? Still Not Over?! HOWLING CRUSHER!" Project X panted a bit before making another attack breath motion. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAA…" Unleashing another sonic scream attack, plowing against the next attackers.

"KABOOM-KABOOM-KABOOM, KABOOM-KABOOM!" The second attack force was impacting the many Gizoid Mk. IIs, but some of the remaining ones were rushing way over the wreckage that lay afterwards.

"Ugh….Nearly Spent, but…ONE MORE! HOWLING CRUSHER!" Project X groans a bit, but preserved himself to unleash another roaring sound. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAA…." This next one would push the last bit of energy he had for a final sonic scream wave.

"KABLAM-KABLAM-KABLAM, KABLAM…." That attack had finally destroyed the last of the Gizoid Mk. IIs, finally reducing many into just broken parts.

"Pant-pant-pant, pant…Gah!?" Project X "That wave of drones, it's lucky they couldn't dodge when I lure them into a one space area." "Hugh, my voice might feel a little soar after that?"

"Hugh, Level 21, and my HP, MP, and my Fortune seems to be the only things that are impressive to be seen." Project X signs with a tired breath, he's happy but nearly spent. "Pant, my strength maybe higher, but I'm nearing a point that I might not get through much longer." He exclaim in feeling how these fights are almost taking it's toll on him.

Slowly resting a bit, Project X began to recollect his thoughts. During which he studied the newest weapon he obtain, the Handheld Energy Blade made for Gizoid models. First he acquired the Shield Hunter's Shield for defense (broken it maybe, but it's downsize helps those not so big and tall), now he has a basic weapon for attacks. After having rest long enough, Project X continued his path down the opposite hallways path and located stairs, hoping to reach an end point. And soon there was a sign that said 'EXIT' and in the general direction path of where one needs to follow.

"Few…Finally, a sign of where the EXIT is. Just a little more and I'll be out of this place." Project X signed in relief that his goal is almost within reach: he will soon be free. "Hugh, I hear something? More Gizoids? But wait, one sounds almost like…rotating wheels?" He was puzzled in hearing something which did not sit well with him.

As Project X came to approach the long hallway, he was greeted with more enemies that reach 10. They look just like regular Gizoids, with some minor differences of slightly darker in color and has a sparkling immunity circle around them. The only significant physical differences being the fin plate on the forehead, which is shaped like a four-pointed star with a split in the top spike, a chest plate, and that they're seen carrying a handheld energy blade. Using the Scouter, Project X managed to get a reading of these enemies.

ENEMY IDENTIFIED – GIZOID:

-GIZOID CENTURION-

*Gizoid Centurion Lv.30*

POWER LEVEL: 1000

The Gizoid Centurions are the elite guardians made by the Nocturne and are both more advanced and far stronger than the standard Gizoid models. Due to their shields, the Gizoid Centurions are nearly invulnerable and give challengers a big obstacle. However, recent discovery show that a specific sonic frequency could take down the shielding, and neutralize the Gizoid Centurions' shields. As long as the shield remains active, only a small percent of damage is done regardless of strength of the attack. The Gizoid Centurions' basic attack is slashing their opponents with their energy blade. Following the Gizoids' ability to copy combat moves, the Gizoid Centurions can perform all of scan target's moves.

"Wait a minute, those are…Centurion Gizoids!?" Project X exclaim in almost being shock in what he was seeing right before his eyes was more outrageous. "That makes absolutely no sense of my situation? What's going on? I only remember G.U.N. ever having acquire the simple Gizoid model. I found it a bit strange with the Gizoid Mk II. But this really takes the cake?" He protest in seeing this was beyond what he imagined, the enemy units were very strong. "I only have enough grenades to deal some damage, but it'll be useless. The only choice I have left, hit them with one Big Blow!" He proclaim in seeing what his options are and he's very limited to the fewest actions left to play.

Acting quickly, Project X used two Grenades to cause some smokescreen cover. The Centurion Gizoids were puzzled but seem to look around. Then a lion head aura was shot that knock some off slightly, but didn't do much from their active shields. But it was long enough to distract these Gizoids from someone hidden to launch their own attack unseen.

"HOWLING CRUSHER!" Project X announced forth while taking in a major breath during the moment. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAA…" And fires a sonic scream which the concussive force blast across the straight hallway area at the targets.

"KABLAMvhhmm…" The impacted was a big explosion, but there was something moving through. The Centurion Gizoids were unharmed due to the shield blocking the major attack. But when they noticed the target was gone, they saw Project X making a B Line pass them and going further down the hall.

"Alright, that should slow them down. Their shields are a problem unless I can destabilize them. For now I have to…" Project X muttered out in having distracted such enemies to slip pass them. "Wait a second, what are…" But that was cut short when something was seen ahead of the guy.

Then guarding the exit were at least 6 Centurion Gizoids, but the other 4 were something completely different. Their design are very different from the regular known Gizoid models. They appear at least twice the size of a regular Gizoid and are much more bulky, standing with a wide chest area and abdomen, broad shoulders and large arms. Only their heads are very much the same as a regular Gizoid, except the fin plates on their heads are much larger. They have a single, wide wheel in place of their feet to balance them and roll for movement. They also are carrying a massive pole-arm around which they may use to attack. Project X used the Scouter to read the data, and what he learn was a shocker.

ENEMY IDENTIFIED – GIZOID:

Gizoids created and deployed by the Nocturnus Clan, serving as Elite Bodyguards of Imperator Ix? These robots have a single, wide wheel in place of their feet, and attack using a massive pole-arm. The Gizoid Guardians' basic attack is striking the opponent with their spear. Their moves are Immunity and Crippling Arc, which can inflict Weaken on targets.

"More Gizoid Centurions!? And worse, Gizoid Guardians!?" Project X exclaim in utter shock in seeing that things just kept piling up with nasty surprise after another. "My situation went from BAD, to WORSE!? How did GUN even acquire these guys? I remember that the Gizoid models were made by the Nocturnus Clan, but this seems unreal that some of these things were left behind?" The guy was completely baffled, none of this seem to make sense base on his memory of Sonic related topics.

Without warning, Project X yelped from the Gizoid Guardians dashing to strike with their Energy Handheld Blades. Project X had to react fast to use his Hunter's Shield to block most of the attacks and the Handheld Blade he acquired. But while focusing on defense and counterattacks, he failed to watch the larger threats moving into attack position: the Gizoid Guardians.

"STAB!/ARRRUAGH!?" Without warning, Project X was stabbed by the spears of 2 Gizoid Guardians before they withdrew their weapons. "Ugh, this is no joke? At this rate, I'll die before I even see the sun!?" He clutch himself to maintain balance while thinking of another plan as he ran a good distance. "I have to…OH NO!?" But his thoughts were suddenly interrupted without warning.

As Project X was fleeing, the other 10 Centurion Gizoids had caught up which began to corner the guy in being boxed in the hallway. While 10 Centurion Gizoids came in front, behind by the exit were 6 Centurion Gizoids and 4 Guardian Gizoids. A grand total of 20 VS. 1 odds were piling up.

"At this rate I can't win, I need a plan? A new plan?" Project X muttered in seeing the situation is turning badly for him. "What's this…Main Electric Grid Station?" He saw something, another room beyond the 10 enemies blocking it: apparently something Project X didn't notice when running pass the enemies. "It's pass those guys, but I got nothing else to lose!" He muttered in seeing he's left with no other choice at this point.

Taking a risk, Project X quickly dashed head first into the danger zone of using his remaining Grenades to cause enough distraction. There were moments that he got a few small scratches from blades or spears by the different Gizoid that couldn't be blocked or counter. But through the smoke cover, Project X reach the door to open it and then close it: there was soon banging sounds.

"Ugh!? This seal door won't keep them at bay for long?" Project X cursed the time limit he has, but then noticed the area: it was a Main Electrical Station filled with different equipment: as if meant to power the whole facility. "This place, it's generating feedbacks of energy and different readouts for this entire G.U.N. base?" He studied the chamber, all the electric functions, the satellite disk, everything. "Hugh, perhaps I can try to find the right sonic frequency and shutdown those shields. It's my best bet to remove the worse obstacles. And right now, I need to beat the clock." He ponders to himself in thinking up the only strategy that may aid him.

Working fast, Project X began to recall what sort of frequency would disrupt the enemy's shields. The banging on the door got louder and louder, which meant time was ticking at a fast rate. After a few minutes of studying, the answer was found when Project X discovered a matching sonic frequency.

"Got it! Now to put the final sequence…" Project X was almost done, just needed to wrap this up.

"BANG!" Then the only door protection was soon busted down, and that's when 20 Gizoids entered the room to find their target.

"Here goes!" Project X issued to cross the fingers after he pushed the button and the system began to emit something on the speaker system.

"TRISsvhmmm…" Without warning, the sound frequency was causing a disturbance to the Centurion Gizoids: their shield protection was gone.

"NOW!...Here's 10 moves put into one!...HOWLING CRUSHER – TIME 10!" Project X began to try a big motion as he took an extra big breath longer then the last time before…. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" He fires forth a sonic scream that blast a concussive force straight at the enemies.

"POWFruvhmmm…" That attack struck the Gizoids while they were unprepared against the assault. "BAM-BAM, BOOM-BOOM…KABOOM!" With a power of using Howling Crusher by ten times, caused even the powerful elite forces to explode into part scraps: there was a lot of the Centurion Gizoids components scatter around.

"Cough…Cough…my voice, cough…cough…" Project X coughs from having suffered an overuse of his powerful roar. "I think, ugh…I might have overused the roar?" His voice was becoming a bit more horse by the reckless action. "Ugh, I'm not sure if I can perform that move, I may have depleted my MP too much…I need time to…" However he never managed to finish that sentence…

"STAB!?" But then without warning, the four Guardian Gizoids had survived with some damage: one of them moved fast to throw a spear that struck Project X's left leg.

"ARRRUGH!?" Project X cried out as he felt the spears dealt a heavy jab into his leg, leaving him immobile. "Grrrr….These Guys….tough as nails!?" He stares at the only foes left, the Guardian Gizoids. "But…I won't back down, I'm so close…Even in the face of my demise, I can't be afraid." He exclaimed to pull the spear out of his leg, as he stares at the enemies with determination keeping him from falling.

"Hugh?" Project X yelped upon hearing this sudden announcement.

"Really, I got something like that?" Project X was completely taken by surprise by what he acquired now, and not an ordinary skill at that. "Well, let's put it to the test! I should have enough MP for at least at best…4 moves…" Project X tries to channel whatever energy he has left in a final struggle while the Guardian Gizoids were lining up. "BEAST-KING FIST!" After deciding to take a risk, Project X channels his fist to unleash a lion aura head straight for one of the targets.

"BAM!" That attack destroyed one of the Guardian Gizoids by a single impact explosion.

"ARRUUUAGH!" Project X roared as he channel to fire another Beast-King Fist shot.

"BAM!" The second attack fired soon destroyed the second enemy and explode in two halves.

"WRAAARUGH!" Project X still channeled his energy to fire yet another single powerful fist aura shot.

"BAM!" Another explosion had taken down the third enemy afterwards.

"Urghh…last…ooooonee…" Project X groans to drop on the knees, the spear wound was opening but kept himself from collapsing with one hand on the ground and the other one up as a fist. "URRAAAAugh!" Lastly Project X focused all his last energy into one more Beast-King Fist attack.

"BAM!" And the final Guardian Gizoid was destroyed as a result of the effort.

After so much struggle and effort, all of the Gizoids were finally brought down. But the battle had taken a heavier tone on the brave fighter who seem ready to collapse.

"Ugh...Cough…urrrgh..." Project X let loose a few coughs and groans, as if hardly being in shape to stay awake. "Urrrgh…" Despite all odds, Project X did what should have been impossible: even for anyone that struggles against hard RPG challenges of a level gap.

Then the same alarm sound was heard, another announcement was about to be made.

"At last…I've…won?" Project X exclaimed from just barely keeping himself standing. "Ugh?" Then he groans from trying to make his aching body move.

As Project X was trying to move and leave the Main Electrical Station room, he felt woozy when trying to move. Everything around him, it was like the world was becoming woozey. He didn't understand, the Level-Up should have healed him but perhaps…the damage was too much and his energy too spent.

"Something is wrong? I feel…tired?" Project X clutch his head, as if feeling exhaustion sweep across his whole body.

The more Project X tried to focus, the more it seem like something was off. The guy's vision was starting to become blurry when trying to leave behind the wreckage of Gizoids.

"Can't…stop…the exit…so close." Project X stares ahead of where he needs to go, his one goal: to reach an exit out of this place.

That was what helped to keep Project X going, but now he seemed too spent. Yet whatever energy that was lingering was fading, and just as the guy found the EXIT but was stuck in this place.

"Almost…" Project X muttered just a single word, trying his best…

There was a vacate chair in front of the feline with a lab-coat, Project X tried to pull the sleeve to yank him forward….only to have the coat fall on top of him. Then Project X's body went limp, as if the creature couldn't move another inch. It seems like nothing could change anything now…

He announced in having made his decision.

"Um….?" With that, Project X fell into an unconscious state from having not the strength to stay awake.

As the scene darkens, a bright light emits from Project X's body. It's brightness and glow would almost outshine the area of what's happening to Project X. After a brief view of the body the camera angle zooms away, the shadowy image shows Project X's body undergoing a metaphoric state. A change was happening, and what Project X would become was a mystery…

THE NEXT DAY

The scene opens once more into a large scene where darkness covered all sides. An eerie quietness with only the sounds of droplets seem to alert of anything going on but was unseen.

"Ugh…? Where…am I?" Project X's voice was heard echoing within the vast darkness all around him.

The noise of dripping water was loud enough to help someone become more aware. Slowly we see light coming in, as it was revealed to be the eyes slowly opening to discover one's surroundings. When viewing from the open eyes, the dripping water came from a broken roof with a water pipe above. And from turning from left to right, was the busted Gizoids and the other a way out and towards EXIT area.

"That's right, I was facing those Gizoids. I was badly injured?" Project X's voice exclaimed from memories flashing back to him. "I tried to crawl to the exit, and then…I passed out. What else?" He tries to process everything but the guy just woken up.

Now from Project X's view, he slowly tries to get himself to stand up right. But during the process, he seems a bit more sluggish and woozy, as if the body was limp that it wasn't responding. As if it was asleep and needed to wake up to function.

"Woah, I guess I'm more out of it then I thought? My body feels different somehow?" Project X's voice was heard but while getting his bearings, he sounded so different after just waking up. "Hmm….why do I have this wrapped around me?" Another thing noticed, was the lab-coat that Projct X yanked off was used as a blanket and now was tied around his waist. "I guess I felt like I needed some blanket cover, but didmy body roll to tie it when I was asleep? Ugh, save that for later?" Whatever happen, the guy had to get other answers first besides what he used to sleep with as a lab-coat cover. "Just then…a boast…" Spotting a control desk for a computer for the room, Project X used it to help lift himself up before using his hands to keep one standing. "Pant-pant…Hugh? Wait, I was on the floor, so…how am I taller then the control computer desk?" Project X exhales from near exhaustion, but not before noticing a slight issue.

Project X realized something was off, in fact, he knew something was not right here. When Project X entered this Main Electrical Station room, his head could look a bit over the table to see a computer, and had to stretch himself a bit to type and use the mouse to work the computer. But now that seems like only yesterday, and now the computer desk ledge was only around the waist area. Project X couldn't believe it, he got a bit of his bearings to move back a bit. But as he was walking away from the computer desk, it felt like he made louder stomps compared to before. And the answer came when he saw what was fortunate for Project X, a nearby full body reflective surface acting like a mirror material of the structure; which showed the guy's state.

"Ugh!?" Project X let off a gasp as his real voice was heard, but was much deeper then usual.

Because now what Project X was seeing was a creature he had never expected to see. Something that was 9-10 feet tall resembling some kind of muscular lion-man with tan orange fur, yellow mane, yellow fur on the legs and the tip of the tail, blue color eyes, black nose and mouth, even black ear tips. The gloves and shoes were gone, and in their place were five fingers on the hands and feet, and had black claws. Another notice was that the lab-coat was tied into twist to act like a cloth around the waist and down the knees.

"Is that…my reflection of myself?" Project X studied the reflection carefully, as if he was imaging things from seeing somewhat that was impossible to believe. "How….How can this be? I look nothing like I was before?" Project X remembered that he resembled more like a cat type of creature, yet now he's almost twice his original size and he's a lion now. "Yet, in comparison, this new look isn't much to complain about?" The guy held his chin to while studying his new facial look and bulky muscle frame.

While Project X studied his new body frame change, another pop-up screen made an alert noise.

After undergoing much experience, Project X has unlocked the ability to evolve. This was never discover by GUN Scientist but by the new Ultimate Lifeform it's self. Becoming a larger, stronger, more adapted breed of a fighter well suited for combat purposes. Since it was a Feline in the beginning, it's Evolution of Ranking-Up produce a Lion Humanoid creature. Further evidence may show 'Project X' capable of unlocking new powers of Chaos Energy. Depending on the unknown elements may produce new ways to increase capabilities and other chances of evolving.

"Well now, the cat's out of the bag? And now, I'm a Lion." Project X exclaimed a bit surprise by what he's seen as the pop-up window vanished. "Ugh, perhaps I should say, a Lion who's figure is more human then an anthropomorphic animal?" The guy yelped as he grabbed the tied labcoat tightly, making sure it covered what the male needed. "I think I need some cloths big enough to fit me?" The guy issue what's important that he needs to find.

Project X began to look around the Main Electrical Station for a possible container of sorts that may hold some clothing. In his mind, the guy knows that some male anthropomorphic creatures of Sonic's world wear just the casual things like sneakers, gloves, and occasional belts, hats, maybe a vest or accessories: and in some cases wear pants. But to Project X who went from an anthropomorphic cat to some lion humanoid beastman, it was different. During the search of the area, there was a large dark mechanical trunk chest with a digital screen in the center. Once touch, the screen read 'Special Design Wardrobe For Combat' on it.

"Hmm, specially design wardrobe, now that doesn't sound suspicious at all?" Project X raise an eyebrow from what he discovered seem very odd. "Hugh…But hopefully it beats what I'm currently using." He signs to decide to see what could be better then what he's got.

Deciding to open it, Project X activated the mechanical chest, as it opens up to reveal it's contents.

"Hmm, these will do quite nicely." Project X smiled with pride, liking what sort of goodies he's uncovered before reaching to pull them out.

After a few moments, Project X slowly began to put on the gear that was present and seem to become customizable to him. Now Project X looks himself in the reflective mirror wall to study his new look. A 9-10 feet tall muscular lion-man with tan orange fur, yellow mane, yellow fur on the legs and the tip of the tail, blue color eyes, black nose and mouth, and black ear tips. When wearing the special mechanical pants, began to adapt and change to fit the size body frame of the wearer. Now they resemble dark armor knightly pants with white fluff fur around the ankles and by the waist where a lion head frame belt was placed. There were no boots but they slightly cover the top foot paws and around the toes. The mecha gauntlets adjusted to fit the size of the lion man's hands. Becoming dark iron armor mechanical battle gauntlet gloves. The red cape was wrapped around the neck area as it drop down near the ankle area. Lastly was the longsword made of silver attach to a dark sword handle which was placed on a handle strap on the right back was side. Lastly was a golden longsword handle with a silver blade placed into a dark brown sheath attach to the left waist area. In full view, this creature seem almost like a warrior or more precisely…a Beast Gladiator.

"Not bad, wonder who in GUN would leave these hanging around?" Project X exclaim from liking his new wardrobe change, he feels more like he's ready for whatever comes at him. "Hmm?" Then a special pop-up screen appeared with something to be seen.

"Hugh, I can go by something other then Project X?" Project X yelped when having heard this announcement by surprise. "Well now, this is a surprise? But then again…if I'm going to go around, I need a name, not an experiment model type?" The guy exclaim that if he went around being address as Project X, it stands out too much: and who knows who may recognize such a name.

So given the situation, Project X had to brain storm about a name for himself. Try as he might, the name he knew before having come to the world of Sonic The Hedgehog escaped him. And now he's starting a new life as some Ultimate Lifeform, once a cat now a lion. When thinking about it, he looked up to the ceiling and almost saw sparkle lights that reflect the wall surface and made it look like indoor stars. And that's when something clicked for the large feline beastman.

"Enter my New Name!" Project X spoke before preparing what a new name to call himself. "Leo…Leo the Lion."

"Woah, gotta a reward after both evolving and getting a name? That's something." The lion man exclaimed from what new surprises he received. "The name Leo was a name from a star constellation. So when I looked up and almost saw stars, it just felt like it fit someone like me in this world." The guy shrug off to reveal how he decided on such a name to be his identity. "Now, it's time I venture to see the outside world!"

Now the former Project X, now renamed Leo was leaving the area and heading for the EXIT route. After having walked a bit down the hallway, the sign above a certain spot read EXIT and the door beneath it…was open: and there was bright light.

"Ahhh, the sunlight…it feels like forever!?" Leo expresses his relief from slowly walking towards the open light source. "I hear birds…and…are those waves I hear?" The sounds he heard calmed him, but then something else started to catch his attention.

When Leo went pass the bright light through the door, we see the lion man exist what seems like a camouflage lab base sticking out from a mountain. And all around the surroundings were some jungle trees and pass the path were sands leading to the waves. All of it seem beautiful at first, but the camera zooms away to show the entire area. A large island with some small to a tall mountain center and covered by forest trees and sand areas.

UNREGISTER ISLAND

"I'm on…an island?" Leo exclaim from observing the entire scenery with puzzlement and confusion. "But then, that means…" The picture was slowly coming together of what this meant.

Leo saw the splashing waves and the sounds of birds flying overhead. From where Leo stood was just sand and besides the man-made facility entrance, the rest was jungle trees and mountains.

"I'm alone…On an island…how can I get by if I'm stuck here?" Leo was taken aback, realizing if what he learned was real that he's alone.

Taking a moment, Leo had to make a plan on the spot. Yes he's on an island, apparently used by GUN but they abandon it so there should be no problem. But he did cause a commotion that would earn an investigation. However, maybe the government won't do that since the hidden secret lab to create a different Ultimate Lifeform was dub a failure and might be some runaway robots causing havoc.

"Hmm, should I maybe build a raft and sail my way out? How far away would I be from civilization?"

Leo looked outward at sea, he couldn't see anything for miles. The island base should have maybe something to help. Maybe some transportation vehicle that GUN left behind during their evacuation. But if not, the trees could be cut down to make some kind of sailing vessel. But before Leo could begin, another thought cross the mind…the untold danger.

"Wait, if I think about it careful, the enemies I've faced up till now, each had a level of difficult." Leo stated from recalling the GUN Robots measure around Level 5-10, but the Gizoids were level 10-30 and even 50. "I barely managed to get through all that with luck and some tactic of planning. And right now I am only Level 25, with two skills and one a passive skill." Leo was thinking about where he stands after having overcome such hardships. "If I'm not mistaken, I have a system that helps in my growth. Even evolving and ranking up, those things are almost related to RPGs. So if I think about it, if what I encounter was the open test, what difficulty would I face…out there?"

As Leo began to anaylize things, it became clear to him. If he heads out now, there's no telling if he'll be ready. Sometimes in an RPG system in the opening stage, a player has two paths: the Easy Safe Path & the Hard Danger Path. If the enemies in the latter are as over the top level as 50 or beyond then Leo will haze zero chances of survival. The best way is to take things slowly to 'grind-up' experience before feeling ready to embark on a path.

"Perhaps if I train a while on this island, I might be able to unlock some other traits and skills. Perhaps even MAX out their levels." Leo theorized what anyone who's played through RPG Games would do under these circumstances. "I think in such games, there were Titles one gain which earn their benefits."

Watching as the sun was slowly starting to set, reminded Leo that daylight was almost over. He'll need to start preparing a few things: namely gathering some necessary food source and shelter. As he approach the open sea, a brief reflection showed the mighty lion-man.

"Seeing I'm no weakling, I may need to become more serious, and less of what I was when I awoken here." Leo spoke firmly in trying to sound like a more serious adult and not some scared little person that he was earlier. "It's decided, I shall train and try every method and unlock abilities. Perhaps I might get Quest related task to help me when the time comes. All to help in my survival, especially…" The guy expressed these words with a warrior's intuition on what should be done. "If I encounter those that are even more like protagonist and antagonist of the Sonic World." When having mention that, shadow figures of humans and animals were seen…they would be the opponents Leo may have to face if it comes to that.

With the mind set, Leo prepares himself as he pulls out his weapons, and begins to jump into the water. It's amazing one can swim while carrying such heavy blades. But they get their use when what seems to be a shark heading for the lion man. Leo unleashes a roar before outside the waters an eruption occurs. The scene goes dark from a new beginning for one's life now turn around…

NOTES: Leo The Lion is an OC by VISION-KING. Was given the name from a constellation since it sounds pretty cool especially when addressing a Sonic character.

Awaken as an Ultimate Lifeform subject: Wanted to go with something amazing like in popular manga/anime series of folks ending in a new world and in the body that's not human. But to make things interesting, made the subject start out as some failure but with the ability to level-up and rank-up to help the growth process.

Howling Crusher is an ability attack based on Thrash The Tasmanian Devil from Archie Sonic series.

The attacks are base on the Leomon species from Digimon (so-far?).

Project X's new Evolution Form is very much similar to Leomon X's character.

Well that's about it for a good start to a new story work. In the next chapter, after several weeks of learning to survive and train himself, Leo the Lion gets a sudden surprise after a sudden storm hits the island. After inspecting what was wash ashore, something was discovered to exist near the island, wreckage from a ship. But the parts turn out to be advance for a flying vessel, and among the parts was a whole aircraft carrier that was actually…the EGG CARRIER!? A chance like this is rare, so Leo investigates in hopes of finding a way to use such a find to travel. But hidden dangers may lurk within the abandon vessel when apparently something has been repairing it slowly and even builds replicated versions of the early E-100 Series aboard the carrier. Leo must be ready to put his training to the test, and defeat such Boss-Level foes if he wants to gain control of the aircraft. What sort of things can happen, what new skills can a new hero reveal, that remains to be seen…
