It was a warm any sunny morning in academy city except for Mikoto who was quite literally brewing a Strom
"I can't believe you still didn't tell me anything about her," Mikoto huffed angrily.
Currently, Mikoto, Kuroko, Uriharu Saten, and Misaka 9982 were in a café.
After the Level Upper incident, Misaka Mikoto was definitely not happy with the fact that she had a clone and that those three knew about it and did not even tell her.
"Onee-sama, it's not like that. We were planning to tell you about her after we, umu, found out who cloned her. I mean, you," Kuroko stammered.
"This Milk tea is good," said Misaka 9982 in her emotionless tone.
Mikoto glanced at her clone, a perplexed look on her face. "By the way, her appearance resembles me so much... I wonder if even my mother can tell the difference."
"Not really," Misaka 9982 replied, devoid of emotion. "Misaka, who was born in an indoor laboratory, is not affected by ultraviolet rays a lot, so her skin is smoother than oneesama's. And her hair does not get damaged by photochemical smog at all, so I have to do my best to not take care of my health so much so I can be much closer to oneesama!"
"..EEhhhh!!!"
"Now that you mention it," Kuroko suddenly groped Misaka 9982. "Ah, her chest feels softer than Onee-sama!!"
"Get your hands off her, you pervert!" Mikoto shouted, blasting Kuroko with electricity.
"..."
"Actually, Misaka 9982 is only three months old," Uriharu revealed.
Mikoto blinked, her confusion evident. "Three months old? What do you mean?" she asked, her anger momentarily forgotten as she tried to make sense of it.
Misaka 9982 nodded, as if this was the most normal thing in the world. "Yes, I was created recently," she explained. "That's why I don't need to worry too much about my health."
"That's not the point!!!" Mikoto exclaimed in frustration. She realized that there was so much she didn't know about her clone, and the situation was more complex than she had initially thought.
Misaka 9982 remained impassive, her existence defined by her purpose as an experiment.
Mikoto leaned across the table, eyeing Uriharu Saten intently. "Come on, Uriharu. There has to be more information about that cloning incident. What aren't you telling me?"
Uriharu shifted uncomfortably. "Mikoto, I really don't have many details. It's like they kept everything under wraps."
Misaka 9982, seated beside them, spoke in her usual emotionless tone. "Misaka is programmed to withhold information regarding the experiment. Your request is futile."
Mikoto raised an eyebrow. "You think they brainwashed her or something?"
"I wouldn't put it past them," Uriharu replied.
Misaka 9982, in a rare moment, looked directly at Mikoto. "I will share information if you provide me with a Gekota badge."
"..."
Mikoto sighed. "A Gekota badge? Seriously? I don't have one right now."
Misaka 9982 remained unfazed. "Then, my response is negative."
"seriously !!!!" Mikoto shouted
Misaka 9982, oblivious to Mikoto's frustration, continued her demand for a Gekota badge. "I find it a fair exchange. Provide the badge, and I will share information."
Mikoto rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'll get you a Gekota badge, but you better spill everything once you have it."
"Onee-sama" Kuroko chimed in, a mischievous grin on her face. "she's just as childish as you "
Mikoto shot Kuroko an irritated look. "I am not child...child."
(flashback)
From a clear window Mikoto saw a boy clutching onto parallel bars with a determined yet pained face he walked forward
"He is suffering from Muscle dystrophy"
"Do you know him?"
"I don't "
A loud thud as the boy fell down before he slowly rose and started to walk again
"There are many more who suffer like him but your ability can help him and them walk again"
"Really"
"yes, all we need is a sample of your DNA say a hair"
"Okay!!"
As Mikoto was remembering about willingly providing her DNA to Higuchi Pharmacology Laboratory 7 at a young age, a cloud of concern overshadowed her features. Her friends, noticing her sudden change in demeanor, exchanged glances.
Uriharu Saten spoke up, a hint of worry in her voice. "Mikoto, is everything okay? You seem a bit off."
Mikoto snapped back to the present, forcing a smile. "Oh, it's nothing. Just lost in thought for a moment."
Kuroko, always vigilant about Mikoto's well-being leaned forward. "You're not telling us something. What's on your mind?"
Misaka 9982, seated beside Mikoto, remained stoic, her expression unchanged. The friends awaited Mikoto's response.
"I was just thinking about Misaka 9982," Mikoto said, diverting their attention. "I want to get to know her better, understand her experiences. Maybe spend some time with her today?"
"Ehhhhh ?!"
