Mama Yang
All was eerily calm, and quiet in the air, as Cinder stood behind Neo, with the mute ice cream girl flying the airship towards the giant Whale Grimm swimming through the air. Neo flew the ship to where Cinder directed, with the mute girl landing it in the whales side, where there were openings and bone platforms, acting as landing pads. After landing the ship, Neo and Cinder began making their way through the inside of the whale.
This whole situation was freaking Neo out, and she didn't know what to make of any of this. Her mind seemed to freeze up, when she stopped, spotting Salem and Acnologia sitting in their thrones, with Selim and Alexis next to them. Between the thrones of the adults, there was another throne, to which it belonged to someone smaller. Their presence within the Grimm didn't go unnoticed as Selim and Alexis looked in their direction. Neo wasn't sure what to make of all this, as she came up, standing next to Cinder.
"My King, my Queen." Cinder said, taking a knee and addressing them.
"Look Mother, Father, the failure has dared to appear before us, empty handed." Selim said mockingly.
"That is enough Selim." Acnologia said, as he and Salem got to their feet.
Salem, stood before Cinder and Neo, wearing a long sleeved black partially exposed cold shoulder robe, ending at her hands in middle finger loops, with red trim flowing from her raised collar bordering, to the sides of her hips and three crimson stripes flowing all the way down to the bottom hem of her robe. On her upper arms, she sported ornate light gray bone arm cuffs, with an elaborate, cross-shaped brooch adorned with a rhombus shaped ruby gemstone atop her clavicle, closing her outfit and forming a slightly wider, diamond-shaped window exposing her inner bust. Completing her ensemble is a similar black cape to her old style, with matching red trim, with a couple additional red gemstones hanging from her bun.
Acnologia was dressed similarly to Salem, wearing a black open front suit, with a red button up shirt, with the top three buttons remaining undone, showing off his pecks. On his left lapel, he had a dragon skull shaped mens brooch, with red trim flowing down his arms, and the sleeves of his pants.
Selim was dressed in a completely black suit, with red gloves, and a loosely sitting tie around the collar of his shirt.
Alexis was dressed completely different. She was adorned in slim black armor, with the shoulders, forearms, and shins designed and shaped like Grimm Bone plating, while the rest of the armor was almost like a second skin fabric, with red markings traveling along the arms and legs, meeting up on her back, in a diamond shape.
"Cinder." Salem began. "When I chose you, as my vessel for the Maidens, I put my trust in you. So I trust, that you wouldn't possibly return to us, empty handed."
"I have sewn seeds of discourse and chaos within Ironwoods forces." Cinder said, before pulling out Athena's magic arrow, with the eye still attached to the arrow head. "An' I bring you proof, of Athena's demise."
Acnologia took the arrow, examining it carefully, before looking to Cinder.
"You've done well Cinder." Acnologia said. "As a token of good faith, allow us to introduce you to our daughter youngest."
Cinder looked up to Acnologia, before her gaze fell upon a third who'd gotten up from the thrones, the one sitting between them. It was a young girl, who looked almost exactly like Athena, with the key differences being, her hair was pure red, and she didn't have any cat Faunus traits.
"Say hello to Ares. She's the purest form of our daughter. Not a single trace of the deities power within her, nor any strands of DNA from that loathsome blonde or cat eared Faunus girl." Salem stated. "She is 100% our child, and only ours."
Ares stood there, between Salem and Acnologia, a blank expression on her face, as she looked at Cinder. The child wore a black vest that covered her chest, leaving her midriff exposed, over a sleeveless body suit, had bone armor upper arm cuffs similar to Salems, around her arms, over the sleeves of her jacket, with a wide leather belt coiled above her waist. The belt had a great number of pockets and pouches attached.
She wore a skirt of layered cloth around her waist and tight shorts underneath the skirt. Her legs were covered in boots with red and white bone armored shin guards, overlapping the fabric, and tights that ran up and disappeared under her shorts. Her hair was tied back into a braid, and her skin was pale, white as Salems, with both her eyes having black Sclera, and red irises. Around her wrists, she sported bracers similar to Athena's, but with a far more, sinister design.
"Hello there Cinder, I hear that my impostor has caused you quite the trouble." Ares said.
"Uh… yes, she has. She's even cost me my left eye, and arm." Cinder said.
"Such a shame." Ares said, her expression never changing, as she took the arrow with the eye from her father. "I'm pleased to hear that you've disposed of her. If only that were true though."
"What?" Cinder questioned.
"This arm, and leg of mine. They came from her, and they ache. They long to return to her. But if not for them, Mother and Father wouldn't have been able to bring me to life. The mere fact I still feel this ache, this connection to my imposter, means that she's not perished, but is on deaths door." Ares said. "But it is good you were able to sew seeds of discourse within the Generals ranks and his mind. You've earned your place amongst us again."
"Outsmarting the General, has less to do with her intelligence, and more to do with his." Tyrian said, making his presence known as he came into the throne room. "After all, you were outsmarted by those children first."
"An' according to radio chatter, that same General and his forces, outsmarted you." Cinder stated. "A shame Watts, never made it back."
Tyrian turned to look at Cinder as he walked past her, before he smiled.
"I'm afraid the good Doctor was a necessary sacrifice." Tyrian stated, before looking to Neo. "I do hope this little one, doesn't become another." He said, pointing his stinger at the mute girl as Cinder got to her feet.
"Who is she?" Salem asked.
"Neopolitan has some very useful abilities, and has proven to be a very valuable asset." Cinder stated, her words concerning Neo.
"You certainly, do enjoy collecting assets." Acnologia said as a fleshy wall opened up, revealing Emerald, Mercury, and Hazel. "So long as she proves her worth, she can stay on your team of miscreants."
Emerald and Mercury looked a bit different, but Cinder knew their changes were merely cosmetic.
Emerald wore a mint green crop top with off the shoulder pulled back sleeves beneath a cropped white quilted leather, double breasted biker jacket contrasted with black notch lapels with matching cuffs alongside her emblem on the back in black as well as a belt loop at the bottom of the jacket's hem, with a pair of matching white, skinny jeans and brown chaps that end at her thighs, appearing flared with a small open section with straps on the lower calves. She also wears an overlong belt, twice-wrapped, to which her chap straps connect to. She keeps her weapon holsters attached the back of the belts. She completes her outfit with a pair of brown ankle boots with metal toe plating. Her hair is also noticeably fuller and longer. Cinder also noticed Emerald wearing a red gradient gem pendant around her neck and a beaded bracelet on her right wrist.
Mercury wore a blue zipped up top to the neck with an orange trim, covered with a gunmetal gray, double breasted leather zippered biker jacket with his sigil across the left side of his torso. He also wore gray vambraces that extend up to his biceps atop black fingerless gloves. He wore black pants with zipper lines along the thigh, and wears an orange key chain hanging down his belt, reading "M80-495". His hair was also thicker and longer, with the bangs that cover the right side of his face, having been trimmed. Cinder also noticed he'd also gotten somewhat taller.
Next to them, Hazel wore his hair in a short slicked back ponytail, and had trimmed his beard shorter. He wore a sleeveless dark green vest with yellow trimmings, revealing the full extent of the scars running up his arm. The brute of a man, wore bandages on his forearms, beneath fingerless brown gloves with silver armor over his hands. He wore brown pants with leather straps connecting to two belts, and armored boots.
"Whoa." Mercury said.
"Cinder." Emerald said in shock, before running to her mentor. "You're here, I knew you'd come…"
"Quiet." Cinder stated.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. So devoted, to someone so incompetent." Tyrian said. "While the Good Doctor and I, were advancing the will of our Pantheon of beloved Gods, dismembering the very body of this Kingdom, you were merely atoning for past failures."
"Both Schnee and Polendina's machine, interfered with the transfer of the Winter Maidens powers." Cinder said. "I had assumed they'd gone to that blonde bimbo Athena calls her mother, but it would see the brat is still alive. But now I know, she still has it, and once I return to Atlas, it won't take long, to finish what I started. That power, will be mine." She stated, before freezing as Salem raised her hand.
"I've given no such command." Salem stated.
"Ma'am, now is the time to…"
"Enough." Acnologia said, as Salem turned around and placed her hand on the throne. "This game, is not yours to win Cinder. It is ours, mine and my family's." He stated, as the view in front of them became clearer, showing Atlas flying right in front of them.
"Just because you're move valuable to us then a pawn, does not make you a player." Salem stated. "Everything is already in motion."
"All you need concern yourself with, is your ability to act, when we tell you to." Selim said.
"Of course." Cinder said. "Without you, I am nothing."
"Good to see you still know your place." Acnologia said, before Salem motioned for them all to leave.
Once all the humans and Faunus were gone, Alexis spoke up as she took the arrow from her sister.
"Mother." Alexis said. "Athena still possesses the Relic of Knowledge. Please allow me to track her down, and retrieve it for you."
Salem looked over her shoulder, her smile broadening, if just a bit, as she looked to her eldest daughter.
"Do as you wish." Salem said. "Unlike the others, my children do not require my authority to cause the havoc needed to win this game."
"Thank you, Mother." Alexis said, bowing to her, before leaving the throne room.
"Oh and, do bring the dog with you. He'll get fat and lazy, if he's too complacent." Salem smirked.
"As you wish, Mother." Alexis stated.
~Oscar~
Oscar was silent, as he sat among the people of the crater. He was grateful for their hospitality, and that not all of them seemed to have a grudge against humans. One of the Faunus, a man with hole claws, stepped out of the house and in front of the fire, shocking Oscar as he was confused, before he held out a bowl of something for Oscar to take. Oscar looked at the bowl, before looking to the man offering it to him, and saw a gentle smile on the mans face, as he nodded, confirming it was all right for him to take it.
"Thank you." Oscar said, accepting the food, before handing it back.
The mole man nodded and gave a grunt as a reply, before going around the fire and distributing the food to everyone else who was in need of some.
"Heads up." Ozpin said, alerting Oscar that there might be some trouble.
An airship came into view, scaring the Faunus around the fire, thinking it was someone from Atlas there to cause trouble for them, like the humans in Atlas liked to do. Oscar got to his feet, and grabbed his cane, ready for a fight as the aircraft stopped overhead above some houses. The young man relaxed however, when the door opened up to reveal it was Ruby in the open space.
"Need a lift?" She asked, waving to him.
~Later~
Oscar was appalled at the state of things, as he looked out the airships window. Grimm were crawling into the city through the broken wall, even Weiss's ice wall was gone thanks to the magic in it running out.
"I was stupid to think, the General would listen." Oscar said. "Every choice I've made, was the wrong one, and now…"
"We all did, what we thought was best." Ruby said. "I'm just glad you're all right."
"Yeah, yeah I see you." Maria said, notifying them that they had reached the meet up point, when she saw Joanne.
Landing the airship, Ruby, Weiss, Oscar, and Maria abandoned the craft, and went straight for the meet up place.
"Inside, hurry." Joanne said, before pulling out her crossbow, and firing it at the oncoming drone.
Inside the hideout, things weren't looking so good for everyone.
"I know, Sector3 is going to need the most help. I'm sending backup your way right now. Fiona, do you copy?" May asked. "We need transport from Sector3 to the crater."
"Copy." Fiona replied.
As the four of them passed May, into the bar area. Opening the door, Oscar saw the rest of JNPR, with Penny, Pietro, Yang, Blake, Geralt, and Juvia, who was tending to an injured Athena, sitting at a table, with an eyepatch over her right eye.
When Nora got up from her seat, Oscar thought she was gonna hit him, and held his arms out defensively, but was caught off guard, when she hugged him. He got over his shock, and returned the hug.
"When we heard you went off after Ironwood on your own, we…" Blake stopped, not wanting to think about what could have happened to Oscar.
"How did you end up down in the slums?" Weiss asked.
"It's a… long story. I get the feeling there's a few of those tonight, like what happened to Athena." Oscar said, noticing Athena's jacket was gone, and there was blood splatter on her shirt, and a few splatters on Natsu's scarf. "What did happen Athena?"
"Cinder happened." The girl said. "I got the Winter Maidens powers, but my fight against Cinder resulted in me losing my right eye."
"She's still weakened from bloodloss." Geralt said. "But she keeps on insisting that she goes after Cinder, to get the Fall Maidens power from her."
"Where's Qrow?" Oscar questioned, noticing how the old bird wasn't there.
"We don't know." Ruby said. "The last we heard, he was with Robyn, but…"
"Alright, your friend is back now." Joanne said, coming into the bar area. "You ready to work?"
"What do you need us to do?" Athena asked.
"The largest Grimm horde ever seen, is hovering over the tundra, and out there is a city full of people with, what you've told us, no more military protection." Joanne said, rummaging through their supplies. "Thankfully, we were able to avoid anyone suffering from the freezing cold."
"Thanks to our mysterious ally Shadow Knight." Yang said. "He managed to hack his way into the mainframe and turn the heat back on."
"An' while we're happy to give you guys a place to lay low for a while, it's time to get those people out there some help." Joanne stated.
"How?" Ren questioned. "Ironwood is stopping all evacuations to Atlas. An' we can't get these people safely out of the city with Salems forces surrounding us."
"The crater, beneath Atlas." Joanne said. "It's not safe, but it's warm. An' with everyone in one place, we can do a better job protecting them. May can send you, where you're needed most. We've got to get everyone, down into that crater before nightfall. In the slums, we might have a chance."
"We're never going to sleep again." Weiss said. "I just know it."
"That's the life of a Huntress, Aunt Weiss." Athena said. "At least I'll be back to old familiar habits."
"Either you're helping, or you're baggage." Joanne said, before returning to the kitchen area with May.
Yang got to her feet, and stepped forward, looking at the poster in front of them with a human and Faunus standing side by side, before turning back to the rest of the team.
"We need to get out there, and do what we can for Mantle." The blonde Huntress stated.
"We need to do what we can, for everyone." Ruby stated.
"What about Amity, and telling the world about Salem?" Athena questioned.
"We can't do this alone." Ruby added. "We need help."
"Ruby's right." Blake said. "The Happy Huntresses are handling the evacuation better then we could. An' there's a bigger picture."
"But Amity isn't even finished, it was still under construction." Yang said.
"Uh, guys." Athena said, gaining all their attention. She raised her Scroll, to show a map, and a message saying to meet someone there. "I think we've got someplace to be. An' they want us to bring everyone in our party, and they mean everyone."
~Atlas~
Ironwood, stood quietly across the hall from the room where, the motionless and lifeless body of Clover, was being examined. The Ace Op ran into resistance when trying to bring in Tyrian, Qrow, and Robyn. The result was, Qrow and Tyrian fighting Clover, and in the report, he read that Tyrian had used Qrows weapon to end Clovers life, while giving him his lucky badge. Juvia was standing outside the autopsy room, looking at Clover with a face of mourning, telling him that those two had become closer, then just friends. He looked to his left arm, which was fitted with a new prosthetic covering, that made it functional again, rather then leaving it useless, like it had been after his fight with Arthur.
"Sir, the prisoners have arrived." A soldier said, coming into the room, and saluting to him, drawing his thoughts out of Clovers death. "They're being processed in Stockade-B."
"Very good." Ironwood said, with a nod, before the soldier woman left.
"Qrow and Robyn?"
Ironwood turned around, to look at his second in command. Winter was lying in the bed, with most of her injuries being examined, including her left arm being in a cast.
"Could you give us, the room please?" Ironwood asked the doctors examining Winter.
"I'll be fine." Winter said, trying to clench a fist, but her joints in her hand and fingers were too stiff, causing her to wince in pain.
"Thank you Winter. I don't know what I would do without you." Ironwood said. "I've never… no one, has ever seen a Grimm Force, this large before. The city's hard light shields will hold, but… not forever."
"What will you do, Sir?" Winter questioned.
Before Ironwood could answer, one of the doctors muffled voices spoke up from the hall.
"Wait, you can't be in here."
Outside the window, Ironwood saw Councilman Sleet and Councilwoman Camilla marching from further up the hall, towards the medical rooms.
"This is absurd, let us through." Sleet stated.
"I told you, we need to speak to the General." Camilla said angrily, as the Ace Ops came out of Clovers autopsy room.
"I am going to do everything I can, to defend this Kingdom." Ironwood stated, hands clasped behind his back.
"What in Gods name do you think you're doing James?" Camilla questioned, as both her and Sleet pushed past the Doctors, once they spotted him.
"No matter the cost." Ironwood finished.
Leaving the room, Winter saw Ironwoods face of determination, as he turned to face the councilmen. Her eyes widened in fear and horror, when she saw him pull out his gun, and fired it, killing Councilman Sleet, resulting in Camilla screaming in absolute horror. Winter looked from Ironwood, to the Ace Ops, and then Juvia, who looked just as horrified as Council Woman Camilla.
Winter was starting to reconsider, telling Ironwood the report on who had the Maiden Powers.
~Team RWBY~
"Are you sure this is safe?" Yang questioned.
"We're traveling via my invisibility Semblance. We'll be fine so long as we don't run into any large group." May Marigold said.
"We're here." Athena said, showing they'd arrived at the destination.
The destination however, was a vacant lot between two buildings.
"There's literally nothing here." Blake said.
"No, there has to be something." Athena said. "It's from that Shadow Knight ally."
Walking forward, Athena looked at her Scroll, before she was bumped back, when she hit something.
"Ow." She groaned, gripping her forehead and stomping her foot. "That hurt."
"She certainly found something." May said. "It's something similar to my Semblance."
Just as May said that, an entrance opened up, showing that they were welcomed in, and expected. Looking to one another, they all filed in, one by one. As soon as Pietro entered, the entrance behind them closed, and the room was illuminated.
"What is this place?" Geralt asked.
"My home."
The group all looked ahead to who said that, and saw a man with spiky black hair, and graying sideburns, while his bangs covered his right eye, a scar ran over the bridge of his nose. He was dressed in a simple shirt, akin to a pirate blouse, with black pants, and boots on his feet. On his face, he had scales akin to Blake's on one of his cheeks, but they were darker in shade, and looked like they might have been damaged a bit.
"Welcome Teams RWBY, JNPR. I also welcome you May Marigold, as well as Penny Polendina, and my old mentor Pietro." He said, closing a book he'd been reading, and putting it back on the shelf.
"It can't be, Rogue?" Pietro asked.
"In the flesh." He smiled, before raising his hidden arm, showing it was mechanical. "Or so to speak."
"Are you another android?" Yang asked.
"No, Ms. Xiao Long, I am not." Rogue stated, raising his bangs to show his entire right eye socket was mechanical as well. "I am a cyborg. Most of my body was destroyed in an accident some time ago, the same accident that put my mentor in that chair, and had supposedly killed Arthur Watts."
"Why are we here?" Ruby asked.
"Because the General was closing in on your location. Despite being a criminal, he's employed Watts to help him locate the Winter Maiden power." Rogue said. "Truly and ingenious play on his part, but one only done from desperation. He's looking for my little sister, Ms. Polendina."
"Sister?" Yang asked.
"Back when Rogue was a lab assistant, I took him in, and treated him like he was my own son." Pietro said. "I was devastated when I thought I lost him in that accident. So it makes sense for him to see Penny as his little sister."
"How does he know about the Maidens though?" Blake asked.
"He's from Earthland." Athena said.
"That's correct, daughter of Acnologia." Rogue stated. "I am also your ally, the Shadow Knight. I was the one who restarted Mantles heating systems, I was the one who pushed Watts out of the Atlas security system, and I was the one who hacked the system that had put you in that virtual world with the Justice League, allowing you to be able to locate your missing part."
"What's he talking about?" Ruby asked.
"I was suddenly able to tell, where my final missing piece was." Athena said. "I never questioned why I was able to suddenly tell where she was. I just thought it was because three fourths of me, were back together."
"That wasn't the case." Rogue said. "But thankfully, it was a snap for me to slink through the shadows and add my program. I am a Shadow Dragonslayer after all."
"So, why is the General after Penny, when Athena's the one with the Winter Maiden powers?" Weiss asked.
"Because your sister, told him it was Penny." Rogue said. "Whether it was by medical induced delirium, due to her pain killers, or the fact she didn't want the General hunting Athena, is beyond me. But it does tell me that she's still in control of her mental state, and is starting to question Ironwoods authority. Which gives you an opportunity to get done, the task of launching Amity Tower."
"So we can broadcast a message across Remnant." Athena said. "Once Amity Tower is up and running, we'll be able to get the word out, and call for help."
"I reiterate from earlier, Amity Tower isn't even finished. There's no way to launch it now." Yang stated her point again.
Ruby thought about this for a moment, before she turned to Professor Polendina.
"Doctor? What would you need, to launch Amity now?" The crimson Huntress questioned.
"Well, we made decent progress on construction, and fuel collection." Pietro said. "All potentially manageable, but uh…"
"Amity was designed, where it could be launched without clearance from Ironwood's terminal, is that correct?" Geralt asked.
"That's accurate, yes." Pietro said.
"Ruby, there is no way, Ironwood would cooperate with us." Yang said.
"But he doesn't have to. We just need the green light from his terminal, is that right?" Ruby asked.
"You wanna go back to the academy?" Yang asked.
"There's another terminal." Athena said. "I helped with constructing the program for the authorization, so there's more then one back door in, unfortunately it requires a computer hardwired into the Academy mainframe. A safety precaution I insisted upon in case the person who hacked the drones at Beacon, tried getting their hands on the Amity Tower information."
"There's one in the main Atlesian military compound." Pietro said. "It's located at the base of the city. You'd have to get inside the compound somehow, then get inside the operations room, and then… whoa boy. I might need to think about this some more."
"An' just to clarify, this is the easy option?" Oscar questioned.
"What you're saying, is it can't be done. It's pointless." Yang stated. "An' even if you got the message out, there's no guarantee that help would come."
"It's not pointless!" Ruby stated. "Atlas is only Salem and Acnologia's current target. She's not hiding anymore, and once she's done here, she'll move on to the rest of Remnant."
"We need to warn them mom." Athena said.
Yang took a deep breath, before looking to Ruby and Athena.
"Listen you two. When we came here, we said we'd follow your lead Ruby. But, things haven't exactly worked out." Yang said, her words hurting Ruby. "I just…"
"There are people here, who need us right now." Ren stated. "That's something we can actually do."
"But this isn't, about just Atlas." Nora said, speaking up. "Ruby's right, it's about all of Remnant. They need to know in Vacuo, in Mistral, in Vale, what's coming so they can prepare."
"Okay, okay. Then let's go for both." Jaune said, stopping the argument from escalating. "Get Amity up and running, and evacuate Mantle."
"But that's how Salem and Acnologia got this far, by dividing us." Ruby said. "We have to stick together."
"No." Oscar said. "What Salem wants, is to turn us against each other, just like this. Jaune has a point."
"Of course he does." Rogue stated, as a robot brought them refreshments. "The term, divide and conquer, still applies to our current predicament. Only rather then dividing and letting our enemies win, we'll be the ones to conquer, by completing both tasks, at once."
"We can work separately, and still be united." Oscar added.
"Okay, then I guess we're going to Atlas." Ruby said, with Nora, Weiss, Blake, and Penny standing with her.
"Do what you gotta do." Yang sighed. "I'm going out there, to see what I can do for Mantle."
Jaune, Ren, and Oscar were with her.
"Athena?" Yang asked.
The child looked to Yang, before she looked to Blake. Things were heating up, and she didn't like it.
"Before you make the child choose who to go with, I believe there's someone here who could benefit from putting her two cents in." Rogue smiled. "She arrived just this morning, on the back of a rather peculiar Dragon Grimm, with a little fox most curious on her shoulder."
Athena's head popped up hearing that, before she was tackled from behind by two large figures, both of them smiling as they licked her face.
"Tsuki, Kohaku." Athena smiled, hugging them.
"It's good to see you all again."
Team RWBY looked up to see Wendy standing there, a smile on her face as she crossed her arms.
"Wendy." Athena cheered, as she ran up and hugged her.
"It's so good seeing you again." Yang smiled.
"You look…"
"Younger?" Wendy asked. "I've taken up a rather simple skin care routine, but it helps that Laxus recommended the lotions."
"My dad?" Nora asked. "Actually, it does sound like something he'd do. He never was one to miss out on a good product that kept him looking young."
"So, what brings you to Mantle?" Weiss asked.
"It's simple. Laxus and I got the notification about your status as wanted criminals." Wendy stated. "I knew Ironwood was gonna go nuts, but I never thought he'd stoop this low."
"Well, he did." Blake said.
"An' it's absolute chaos up in Atlas right now." Yang stated.
"Which is why, I have a proposal." Wendy said. "I heard your little disagreement about which jobs to do, and so to avoid having Athena choose, I'll go with one team…"
"While Athena goes with the other." Blake realized.
"Which team will you be going with?" Ruby asked.
"Yours. You are TL of Team RWBY." Wendy said. "Athena will go with Yangs team."
"Then that settles it I guess." Blake said.
"Yang." Pietro began, as he tossed the blonde a set of keys. "Stop by the pharmacy. I was developing some new tools for you all, before… this happened. You're gonna need them. I also put in, something that would be more your style. Those clothes you currently have on, don't really seem to suit you."
"Thanks." Yang said.
"Nora?" Ren asked, looking to his partner.
"I'm going with Ruby." Nora stated.
"But, what about Mantle?" Ren inquired.
"Oh, I'm saving Mantle. Because I actually believe we can do this." Nora said.
"I can get Pietro and Ms. Calavera off to Amity Tower to prepare. But that still leaves the problem of how we're gonna get you all up to Atlas." Geralt said.
"Easy." Athena said. "With May's Semblance, you can all take Tsuki to the hangers."
"Actually, leave that one to me. I've got a better idea." Weiss said.
"Alright, let's get going." Ruby said.
"I'll be accompanying Ms. Rose's team." Rogue said. "If we run into any danger, it'll be better to have two shadow dragons around, rather then one. One of us will be able to act as the diversion, while the other makes a clean get away with the team. That's when you can use Tsuki for an escape."
"Then let's stop talking, and get to work." Geralt said. "The fate of Remnant, rests in all our hands."
~Stockade-B~
Things were quiet, as Qrow sat silently in his cell, looking at the badge in his hand, the blood on it reminding him, of how he'd just lost someone he cared about, to his own blade, at the hands of a raving serial killer. He was brought out of his thoughts, when one of his fellow captives was ranting on angrily.
"This is your fault, you realize that don't you?" Robyn stated, directing her anger at one of her cell mates. "All I wanted was to bring people together, to give them a chance at a better life. But you…" She glared, looking at Jacques.
"Me? I am a victim." Jacques stated. "I'll admit I was duped, used. An' although my hands may not be clean, at least I am not a murderer."
"Oh that's rich, coming from the man, who tried poisoning my niece." Qrow stated, slamming his fist into the hard light wall, separating him from Jacque's cell, frightening the grown man. "My weapon might have been used to kill Clover, but I wasn't the one who ran him through. It was Tyrian Kalos, while you tried to kill a child, just to get a seat on the council. Face it Jacques, you're far from perfect. An' you're not even a Schnee anymore."
"Qrow's right. He didn't kill anybody." Robyn stated. "An' I am not gonna stand here, and be lectured by some snake with a mustache, who would have disowned his own daughter, just because she became a Dragon Faunus, and helped that man, tear us all apart." She said, pointing to the cell to Jacque's left.
"Yes, well…" Arthur began, showing he was lying down while nursing a black eye. "I suppose we're all, stuck in it together now."
"Speak for yourself." Jacques said confidently. "I know the right people. I'm sure Whitley's reached out to my legal team, and will have me out of here, before you can say…"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Robyn and Qrow shouted, slamming their fists into the cell walls, causing Jacques to jump and fall back behind his prison bed.
"I swear, if I get my hands on you." Qrow growled.
"You'd better pray this continues to hold me back. Because if it doesn't."
"You're dead." Qrow and Robyn stated in unison, lightning sparking around Qrow's body.
~Yang's Team~
"There's the pharmacy." Yang said, spotting the building. "Let's move out."
Rushing the building, Yang, Jaune, Oscar, Ren, Athena, and Kohaku, all ran in there, with Athena jumping from Kohaku's back, and destroying the two robot guards with a single point blank shotgun blast, when her nanites took on their forms similar to Ember Celica.
Opening the back door, Yang stood at attention, before Jaune turned on the lights, making Yang gasp in awe.
"Alright, the others are definitely missing out." She said, as Oscar, Ren, and Athena stuck their heads in. "Thank you Pietro."
~Ruby's Team~
"There it is, now we just need to get up there." Ruby said, as she and her team looked up to Atlas's underside, with Rogue next to them.
"Careful, drones on our nine." Rogue said, ducking them all down behind a ventilation generator.
Once the coast was clear, they all got up from hiding, and relaxed a bit.
"That was a close one." Wendy said, Tsuki on her shoulder.
"Why didn't Yang come with us?" Ruby groaned. "She could have destroyed the drone."
"Hey, we're still united, even if we're far apart." Blake said.
"I hope so." Ruby sighed.
"I know so." Wendy said.
"C'mon, while it's not so busy we can…"
Weiss stopped, as one of their Scrolls began going off, indicating someone was calling a specific person. They all looked at theirs, but there wasn't anyone. But when they looked to Penny, they saw that her Scroll was active, and it was showing Ironwood was calling her, and her alone. Penny looked to her friends, before she answered the call, allowing for a tense moment of silence to wash over the area, before Ironwood began speaking.
"Hello Penny." Ironwood began. "I'm worried for your safety. Tell me where you are, and I'll have you picked up right away. Atlas needs you Penny, Salem and Acnologia are here."
Ruby stepped up, putting a reassuring hand on Penny's shoulder, and taking the Scroll from her, before she began speaking.
"She's not going anywhere, until you change your mind about Mantle." Ruby stated. "There's still a chance for Remnant to be…"
"Mantle." Ironwood scoffed. "You're still worried about Mantle? Remnant is doomed, Ruby. Unless we leave, Salem and Acnologia will destroy Atlas, and with it, any hope humanity has left."
"Athena has the immortal killing blade." Ruby stated. "She can put an end to Salem, and Acnologia. She can save Remnant."
"I am not, risking the fate of humanity, by putting it in the hands of a child!" Ironwood stated.
"Then what are you doing, with putting it in Penny's hands?" Ruby asked. "She's just as old as me, an' I'm still technically a child."
"We need to think about the future. If they make it through our defenses, everything that follows, will be on your hands." Ironwood stated. "An' bring me the Relic of Knowledge. If I have to hunt down Athena to get it, I will gut her myself to get the Relic out of her stomach."
"General Ironwood." Wendy began, taking the Scroll from Ruby. "You'd be wise to retract that statement."
"Who is this?" Ironwood questioned.
"My name, is Wendy Marvell. I am the Sky Dragonslayer of Fairy Tail, the Maiden of the Skies, while I'm also known as the Spring Maiden. I was the Maiden that came before Raven Branwen, and the one that came after Athena Cobalt." Wendy stated, introducing herself. "I was the one, who gave Athena, my daughter Athena, her name. Along with Yang and Blake, I consider Athena to be my daughter, as I was the one who raised her away from Salems influence for the first year of her life. So I highly recommend, you reconsider your words. Because there are very few things in this, or any world, more dangerous then a mother dragon who's pissed."
~A/N~
Penny's not gonna die, why do you think I gave Athena the Winter Maidens powers?
I also based Ares appearance off Rem Galleu from, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, season1, with a few personal additions of mine to the design.
Athena's current powers in Mama Yang, are as follows.
Requested by Fire Turtle: Etherion Dragonslayer Magic, Dark/Winter Maiden Magic, Deity Champion transformations (Akin to Zerefs Time Magic form, and Dragonforce forms), Grimm Magic, Evangelynes Grimoire Arsenal, and the Lantern Ring comprised of scales on her hand. Currently a total of 4 different types of magics, and two powerful items, one of which is powered by her strength of will.
