Before we begin, I apologize profusely for taking so long to update: Life has been on me more than usual and it was hard deciding where to go with this chapter, but I think I managed a good balance of everything. No Smiley or Durant and his gang this chapter.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding, please enjoy!

Life Re-Entered

The next day it was time for Lori to return to college.

After a delightful breakfast, she hugged her brother a little longer than the rest.

"If you need anything. Literally anything." She promised. "Just ask."

Lincoln hugged her back, unintentionally making her tense and gasp for air.

"Sorry!" The boy realized sheepishly. "Sorry, Lori! Still not used to my new strength."

"None of us are." Lynn Jr smirked despite the bandages around her hands from when her little brot6her had given her a handshake. Luna and Luanne had similar wraps on their noses and wrists due to startling Lincoln and….well, you know how the Loud kids were never afraid to throw punches. Luckily, Lisa was able to heal and minimize the damage from her now superhuman brother's blows, so no skin off anyone's back. In a way, this was probably some form of delay payback for all the times they messed Lincoln up, they mused.

And the boy, traumatized as he might've been, managed enough control to never hit his younger sisters.

Lori waved off the pain from the hug; her little brother was alive, that was all that mattered to her. She kissed Lincoln on the nose onje more time and then got into her car after waving to the others.

"Don't let them see you cry…! Don't let them see you cry…!"

The Louds and Myrtle all broke into sobs as the oldest drove away, including Lori herself, whose sobs turned to chuckles when she saw Lincoln reaching for the vanishing car: If any good came out of Lincoln's scarring, it was that he was now as emotional as Lynn Sr, so father and son (and daughters and mother) smiled at that… JUST as the skin on his face started to melt.

"AAAH!" Lola screamed, hurriedly whipping out the Face-Maker (AN: alternate names pending and open to suggestions in reviews) and pressing a button. Leni, Luna, Luanne, Lynn and their parents huddled around the middle Loud child, obstructing his scars from his younger sisters, Lucy keeping the twins and Lily from seeing.

"I'm getting sick of you guys not showing us!" Lana pouted with a growl.

"Trust me, Lana. You'll thank us for this." Lucy sighed.

(AN: To anyone who has seen the Darkman movies and hence, has an idea what Lincoln now looks like under his masks…is that accurate? Or are the other Louds blowing the scars out of proportion? Leave your thoughts in a review)

A few seconds later, the Louds moved out of the way, revealing their son/brother back to looking good as new. He was sniffling a bit from missing his oldest sister (proof of his 'boosted' emotions, Lisa had explained) but smiled at the family he still had here.

"…Who wants Pizza for lunch?" Rita suggested, knowing that her husband would need a bit of time to mentally prepare himself. The kids all cheered at that suggestion and Myrtle reached for her phone when Lily let out a coo.

"Hi Cyde!"

Everyone tensed at the baby Loud's words, but none more so than Lincoln: Could it? Was it? He prayed it was and wasn't as he turned around….

"Clyde?"

There he was: His best friend, looking at him with widened, teary eyes.

"LINCOLN!" The boy sobbed as he took his best friend into a hug. Lincoln found himself joining in the sobbing and the hug, Clyde not even acknowledging the now superhuman grip.

All that mattered to him was that Lincoln was back.

Since Lincoln's 'death', the Action News Team had gotten a new co-lead. A new head that, while they could never fill the void of Lincoln, kept viewers coming back for more.

No, it wasn't Chandler! Although, he was a decent cameraman….Moving on!

It was Jordan Rosato, AKA Girl Jordan, the dodgeball Queen and a very strong contender for Lynn Jr's successor as 'top athlete in school' when she left Middle School at the end of the year. And because of that, the sweet voiced and mostly kind-hearted athlete (we don't talk about the stink bomb and Rusty) was the much beloved sports commentor and occasional co-host with Cldye, as she was today.

"Good morning everyone!" Jordan began the broadacast, hints of tears in her eyes as Cylde's cheeks were tearstained: As were Zach's, Rusty's, Stella's and Liam's. "Our top story this month, if not the year: Lincoln Loud is alive!"

EVERYONE stopped what they were doing and dashed to the nearest screen, be it TV or Phone, when they heard that.

Jordan motioned for Clyde to take over.

"While details are still vague," He lied as he stifled tears, knowing the whole story but respecting his best friend's wishes. "Lincoln DID survive the lab explosion, ending up with amnesia in a burn ward until a week ago. Sorry folks. I'm…I'm going to need a minute…!"

Stella came onto the scene and patted Clyde away, briefly adding:

"Lincoln has been using his science fair invention to cover the burns he received. And yes, he was indeed burnt."

"Badly." Liam added, shuddering. "The things we saw under that….Oh, we got his okay to explain this, y'all!"

"And, since he's finally well enough, he'll be returning to school tomorrow." Zach continued.

"So DON'T STARE!" Rusty snapped. "It's beyond rude, dawg."

"And until his invention's time flaw is fixed, Lincoln will be having his classes in the Action News room and only come out for Lunch and Gym classes." Jordan finished, a hint of sadness clear to all in her voice.

At first, things were fine; Lincoln received many welcome backs and the closed circuit TV worked well enough for his end. Shame he couldn't interact in real time just yet; they were working on figuring out a video call system.

Then came his first gym class and dodgeball: His sparring with Lynn had taught Lincoln that just because he didn't feel the impact of the dodgeballs didn't mean his body would be immune to gravity.

However, with the adrenaline in his system and his new superhamn strength?

"NUUUUURSE!" Coach Pawoski called out. Not just for his students, but for himself as well after the Loud Boy had turned into a one man army after Clyde had been knocked out and back.

Lincoln wisely decided that it was time to, in the words of a certain pink cougar….

"Exit! Stage right!"

Contrary to popular belief, Ronnie-Anne had had another friend in Royal Oaks besides Lincoln. They didn't interact with each other all that much compared to her and Lincoln, but whenever they did hang out without her 'posse', who feared her, they had a good time together.

That friend was none other than Jordan Rosato, AKA 'Girl Jordan.'

It took Lincoln's death to reignite their friendship; misery breeds company after all, it seems. And when in misery over the loss of the boy who was special to you, it solidifies friendships. But the special for each girl was for different reasons:

For Ronnie-Anne, Lincoln was her best friend when she wasn't a people person, following her parents' divorce and ecverythuing else: He shared her thoughts on Bobby and Lori being too cheesy (and sometimes dumb) and could challenge her in any videogame she played. Yes, there had been those bouts of bullying (which Jordan NEVER forgot to bring up), but considering their prank wars, they considered it even.

For Jordan? Well, she'd had a HUGE crush on Lincoln, ever since preschool: His white hair, buckteeth, freckles, smarts and mostly kind nature; never mind how he'd taken in Charles in a way she had her own dog. Yeah, he wasn't the most athletic guy, he'd made some dumb choices for a guy who had 10 sisters (COUGH Girl Guru COUGH)…but hey, nobody's perfect.

And with Bobby and Lori getting married in a few years, Ronnie-Anne had claimed Lincoln as her brother and encouraged Jordan to act before the other girls saw what she did about Lincoln.

Then, the explosion happened…..

"How's your uncle's city developing thing going?" Ronnie asked Jordan, who had just left Home Economics class and was heading home for the day (and hence, not present during Lincoln's dodgeball rampage).

"Slowly but surely." Jordan said. "And that jerk Mr. Durant's the City Development; Uncle Doyle's project is 'Neo Royal Oaks.'"

"Sorry, my bad." Ronnie Anne said.

"No, no, no problem." Jordan assured her.

"You're sounding happy now that Lame-o is back from the dead. You going to tell him?" She teased, delighting at the hitch in Jordan's breath.

"W-well, he just came back from a horrifying experience, I don't think…"

"Okay, yeah. Fair point." Ronnie Anne conceded. "Note to self; send Lame-O a pie for taking so long to respond…"

"I hope you mean a nice pie your granny makes for him to eat and not the usual boxed one that gets all over his face!" Jordan said. When Ronnie-Anne didn't immediately respond back, she let out a sigh.

It was then that Jordan spied her crush dashing out the door with a hurried look on his face.

"Gotta go RA. I'll call you back."

And with that she ran outside after Lincoln.

To be continued…

Next time: Plans go awry Pt. 1 of 2!

As you can seen this story is Jordancoln! To you Sidcoln/Stellacoln shippers (sorry to disappoint), I am working on two different stories for them; one another crossover and the other a pulp magazine Superhero AU.

How will Jordan getting involved shake things up? WILL she be involved in Lincoln's revenge?

The Doyle being Jordan's uncle reveal was originally going to come before the climax of this first arc/movie, but considering how long it's been since I updated, I think I should move it forward; get you readers imagining how that'll shake things up. Did I make a good choice?

Until we see each other again? Stay safe!
