"Ow. That was unpleasant."

"Yeah. Uh… Where the hell is Bill? We kinda need to make sure that he's-"

"Don't worry about him. I chucked him into an infinity to infinity maze." Discord said as he stretched his arms, "Unless someone is enough of an ignoramus to let that insufferable isosceles out, he's not going anywhere."

"A what?"

"An infinity to infinity maze, Mr. Reaves." Discord replied, "Pay attention."

"So… He's not going anywhere?" John Wick asked.

"He's going everywhere and nowhere at the same time."

"That makes no sense."

"It's best to stop trying to make it make sense, my animal-loving friend." Discord said as he put an arm around John, "But aside from that, I have a few things to get to."

"Wait. Couldn't you find the fighters that are missing?"

"Find them?- Yes. Actually get them back here?- No." Discord said, "Didn't J'onn tell you? This universe is-"

"The size of an electron if the rest of the universe was the size of an omniverse. So, that's a no then?"

"Not exactly what he said, but close enough. But I know when I'm not needed to keep a story going. Call if Bill escapes." Discord said as he exited through a rift in reality, "Oh who am I kidding? I'm being written out to keep the story from breaking. Maybe I can do something interesting off-screen… Or whatever the equivalent is for a written story."

John looked at his drink, "I might need something stronger…"

John looked up from his drink, startled by… Something.

"That's… Ominous."

"What's ominous?" Cole asked as he sat down.

"It's like… Something bad just happened."

"That is ominous." Cole noted.

"Hmm… How goes the situation with Alex?"

"Pretty good, John. Turns out, not being an ass to him makes him a half-decent person." He droned on, "Who knew."

"Not the idiots who decided to piss him off, apparently." John said as he took a sip of his drink.

"Good enough, I guess."

"Yeah…" Cole muttered, "Hey, what do you think was up with that ominous feeling anyway?"

"Dunno. Happened a bit after Discord left to deal with whatever he was dealing with."

"Do you think there's any hope for Alex?" Cole asked.

"You're the one who didn't want to give up on him." John pointed out.

"I guess. There are worse people here anyways. It'd be unfair to give them a shot at being a good guy and not him."

"That's a bit of a mood. I got more hope in him than I do in assholes like DIO and Thawne."

"Thanks, John. I actually needed to hear that."

"No problem, Alex."

"Ugh." 'Cole' morphed into Alex as he held his head in his hands, "How did you figure out it was me?"

"It's not that hard. Cole also calls me 'Wick.' He doesn't use my first name."

"Well, that stings."

"Hey, it's good practice for stealth training."

"You mean hide and seek?" Alex snarkily asked.

"It helps keep the edge off."

"Yeah, well… It sometimes feels like people like me don't deserve that."

"Well, we're only human."

Alex raised an eyebrow.

"You know what I mean."

"Yeah, but… It's nice to hear that I'm counted among humans, I guess." Alex shrugged.
