Well hello guys. We get some Piper and Annabeth in this chapter- and some Luke! YAY!

Ryan Fowler: There'd be a range of reactions- Hades being smug as hell because that's his favorite neice. Poseidon practically fainting because his daughter is alive?! His daughter is alive and is a magician? And a princess?! And Zeus will be there like 'For fuck sake can I find some way to kill this girl without causing my own downfall?'
Undeath9087: Chaos is an understatement! It'll be fun.
avaatje:
Luke will be beyond stunned I'll say that.
Guest: Because I'm fun? :D And evil.
Krypton
JoyWrites: Here darling, take another :D
Guest: Yeah Percy is out cold. And Artemis is like, 99% sure but she doesn't want to risk being wrong or saying anything too early. She's sorta observing right now. And as for the water healing thing- from what I can tell different demigods have different gifts. Not all Aphrodite kids have charm speak and Artemis has no clue what gifts Percy does have if she's right about Percy being a child of Poseidon. And shoving someone already half dead and bleeding out in freezing water would not be a good idea without the healing ability. I mean, from what we know Bellerophon or Theseus were never mentioned to have the same gifts as Percy- they may have had some but we can't say for sure.
Guest:
Well this chapter actually answers your question lol.
Pvtbarton: I mean, she might recognise it if she notices it but I mean, none of them would really guess at what it means.

Piper was trying not to panic. Bianca's call hadn't given her and Annabeth the only piece of information they really truly cared about. Where was Percy? Bianca didn't know. All she knew was that Percy had been taken by someone, and it seemed like the Greeks and Egyptians were being set up for a big fight.

Annabeth had pointed out that it was an excellent strategy for someone who was on the outside of the two groups- Kronos was involved that much was obvious. But how had he knows to go after the Egyptians? How much did he know? There were too many questions unanswered. The only way to get the answers was to go to the Greek Camp, free Bianca and force the Greeks to listen to them. It was terrifying to think of what might happen if they didn't. Annabeth had quietly admitted that she was certain that her old home would fall if a war truly did break out between Magicians and Demigods. The Egyptian pantheon had the manpower. They had Carter and Sadie, who were powerhouses all on their own.

And they had Bianca, Nico, and Piper. Annabeth wouldn't want to fight but she probably would if it came down to it. So they had to try and avoid that at all costs. Piper didn't want to help wipe out her girlfriends old home. Besides they were all being set up. If she and Annabeth could just reason with them and get them to see sense it would be fine. They could work together and rescue Percy from wherever she was being held.

The idea of this being a plan from Kronos was terrifying, largely because if that was the case then Percy was in serious danger. Luke had threatened to kill her last time he'd seen her and Piper knew that even Annabeth wasn't sure if Luke would come to his senses. If he did hurt Percy then Piper would kill him. She'd tear him apart with her bare hands. Order him to stop breathing. And she knew that Annabeth wouldn't even consider stopping her.

They'd both come to terms with their feelings during the last summer. They'd come up with a plan to ask Percy out, they'd both been sure that she felt the same way. But when the time came Percy had misunderstood what they were saying. At first they'd thought Percy was upset. They'd tried to run after her but Percy was fast.

And then she'd come back bright and bubbly congratulating them. It had been confusing to say the least. They'd spent a lot of time discussing what to do. And after some time Piper and Annabeth had agreed that they would make it work just the two of them if Percy really wasn't interested. After all, they did have feelings for one another. And since they were both in love with the same person it wasn't like it was a secret. They were very open with one another about how much they loved their idiot of a best friend. Even if Percy had pulled away since they'd started dating.

And now she was gone. She'd been kidnapped and Piper was more afraid than she'd ever felt before. This was the worst feeling in the world. She was sure of it. She'd been anxious the whole journey back. The plane journey had been agony because they hadn't been able to pace- and the taxi was even worse because they were getting closer and closer to where they needed to go.

Then they were there, and Annabeth pulled on her cap, towing Piper along by the hand. She was worried that if she was spotted no one would let her go where they needed to go- they'd be too excited over her return. Whereas Piper could easily blend in among the other campers even if none of them recognised her.

And Annabeth knew the camp better than pretty much anyone else, so it was easy enough for her to find a quiet spot along the border where they could slip in without being seen. And Annabeth left her waiting while she fetched one of the camp tees, which Piper pulled on without hesitation before letting the older girl guide her to a large sky blue farmhouse.

On the way there Piper saw dozens of other kids- from pre teens to teenagers wandering around in the same orange tees as she was wearing.

It didn't take them long to head inside, and Annabeth went on ahead, knocking out the demigod guarding the door of the room where Bianca was being held. She took her cap off then, wasting no time in picking the lock of the door- when she saw Piper's raised eyebrows she shrugged.

"I might be pissed at the guy but Luke was an expert at picking locks and he taught me while we were on the run- and done." there was a click and Annabeth straightened, pushing the door open.

And Piper stepped inside quickly, just a step behind Annabeth, and Bianca was already on her feet when they walked in, a relieved sob leaving the younger girls lips as she rushed forward, and Annabeth and Piper barely had time to brace themselves before Bianca collided with them.

"You came-"

"Of course we came." Piper wrapped an arm around the younger girl, and she saw Annabeth doing the same. "Are you okay?"

"I- I've been holding it together. No ones been back to talk to me since I called you. They're not going to are they? They can't decide if they can trust me or not-"

"We'll deal with it." Annabeth huffed the words, "If I need to I'll yell at Chiron. I'm the only one who can get away with it."

"Let's go then." Bianca let out a breath, "Then we can get on to trying to find Percy. We can see about a prophecy or whatever, like you said on the phone. We can figure out how to find her can't we?"

"Of course." Annabeth nodded, and Piper met her girlfriends gaze over the top of Bianca's head. They'd find Percy. No matter what happened they would find her. And when they did they'd kiss her and make her understand what they'd really meant that day. They wouldn't let her slip away from them again. Not ever.

So together the three demigods started to move out, stepping out of the room- and Bianca faltered, her brows furrowing.

"I-"

"What's wrong?" Annabeth was grabbing Bianca's arm to steady her.

"I-" Bianca shook her head, slapping her ear. "I- it's- it's like there's a buzzing in my head I-"

"Bianca-" Piper moved so that she was in front of her, laying her hands on the other demigods shoulders. "Bianca focus on my voice. Focus on me. Is it helping?" she focused on her voice, on the magic in it.

"A- a little." Bianca was leaning heavily against Annabeth now. "It feels- it feels similar- there was... when Percy was taken there was a man. I felt him dying." Piper stiffened slightly at that. "I- this- it's like that but not- like- like someone's hanging. Between life and death, the scales haven't tipped either way yet." Bianca closed her eyes tightly. "Close. Getting closer I think I-" her face scrunched up. "I can't-"

"Someone coming to camp." Annabeth's voice was tight. "Someone really, really hurt probably."

"I think-" Bianca's voice was faint now, "I think I know them. It feels- I don't know they feel familiar-"

"That doesn't make sense." Piper frowned, "We need to go check it out."

"Bianca." Annabeth spoke slowly, "Can you lead us to where it's coming from? We might be able to help whoever it is."

"I can." Bianca blinked twice, forcing herself to focus as she straightened up. "You guys should follow me." she paused, "Uh- how do we get out of here? I can't really remember the way. I was trying not to freak out when we were on our way in."

"Come on." Annabeth grabbed her arm. "I'm gonna put my cap on but I'll hold your arm. Pipes-"

"I'll stay close."

...

Luke was terrified. He couldn't let Percy die.

He couldn't fail her like he'd failed Thalia. No. No nono. He wouldn't let history repeat itself. Which was why when the Gray sisters pulled up and Artemis yelled at him to take Percy on ahead- she was slower than him and they both knew it, he took off at a run, Percy cradled in his arms.

She felt smaller now that she was hurt. He'd known she was small of course- he wasn't a complete idiot, no matter how she might disagree with him on that. But holding her in his arms like this- she felt like a little kid. She didn't look like the annoying fierce pain in the ass he'd been getting used to.

She looked like a little kid who was dying. Who was dying in his arms. She was burning up. Her skin was uncomfortably hot and the blood had started to seep through the makeshift bandages.

He held her closer to his chest as he sprinted up the hill, not bothering to glance back. Artemis would follow once she'd paid the sisters.

He pushed himself harder than he'd ever pushed himself, speeding up the hill towards Thalia's tree- noticing the sight of the golden tree glinting in its branches, seeing the dragon there as it's guardian.

Because of him. Because he'd poisoned it.

He felt guilt clawing at his chest but he kept moving, cresting the hill and gasping the words, "I Luke Castellan give Percy Kane permission to enter camp." then he was sprinting past the tree and racing down the hill.

Chiron. He had to get her to Chiron- then Luke felt a heaviness pressing around him- his skin prickling in a way that was painfully familiar. He dove to the side as lightning struck, his grip on Percy slipping as she rolled out of his grip and he tumbled down the hill head over heels.

If he'd been any slower they'd be dead.

And he knew it wasn't Zeus who had done it. Because as he tumbled down the hill he saw flashes- glimpses.

And there was a familiar figure stood at the bottom of the hill, crackling with fury. "LUKE! YOU TRAITOR!"
