"Do you know what this is?" Anko asks me. It's the next day and we are standing next to where my crater should be 'I guess she fixed it.'
I then look at what she is holding, chakra paper, I know "Yes, that is chakra paper. It is made out of trees that grow while being fed chakra. It can reflect a persons nature affinity."
She smiles "Good! And you're right, we will be testing your affinity today." she then hands me a paper "Just channel your chakra into it."
I nod, tale the paper and start pouring my chakra through it.
One half starts to crumble to dust and the other is incinerated instantly.

Woah. Does my Yin affinity mean I have talent in Genjutsu? Anko starts talking again, snapping me out of my thoughts "Two affinities! I wanted to teach you four Jutsu for the one I thought you'd have. Then I'll just teach you two for each."
I nod and she continues "You an I share the fire affinity, so I will teach you there first. I know you copied my fire dragon Jutsu, but copied elemental Jutsu don't help you to actually use an affinity. It only mimics it's movements, it's like copying on a test, you don't understand what exactly you've done but it was right anyways."
I hum in agreement and she continues her lecture "I want you to first learn how to change your normal chakra into fire natured chakra. For that, channel some chakra into your lungs, not too much, that would hurt."
'Your lucky I got perfect chakra control.' I then do what was told and she continues "Now, Imagine it becoming denser, closer together." I then smile 'This should be a bit easier, I already do that with my blood.'
I feel the built up chakra heating up inside my lungs. "Great! Now, expel it." i do so and a very small flaming breath escapes my mouth. "That's much more than I first managed. Next, if you want to perfect your control over this element, I want you to be able to burn this leaf without it getting burnt."

Ohhhh god. The last chakra control skill took two and a half years to max. "Next up is earth. I don't exactly have that affinity but I use enough earth Jutsu to need to know how to use it. Chanel chakra into your hands or feet, or both, I don't care."
I do so on both my hands and feet. "Try to imagine this flowing chakra becoming still and hard. Heh, still and hard." I ignore her second sentences and do what I was told. I can fell my chakra becoming sturdier "Good, now push it into the ground." I put my hands on the floor, me being on all fours now, I ignore Anko's comment on my position and I expel the chakra.

One or two meters of the floor turn into mud and a few rocks peak out of it. Anko tosses me four scrolls and says "I'll give you a week to be able to use these. Come back here then and we will start training you in Genjutsu, you will really need some, especially if you plan to use your sharingan effectively. Also, training earth nature control requires turning harder and hared objects into dust and then reforming them."
She disappears and I pick up the scrolls and walk home.
I arrived at my home and am currently reading the first red scroll with Mewo on my lap.
I finish the scroll and see a notification appear.

So that's how reading from scrolls work.
I have finished all the scrolls and am now training the Jutsu from them at my normal training ground.

I have been training these, together with the fire dragon for the past hour now. I hope to be done by day five or six so I can get some Genjutsu knowledge on the last days.
It has been six days and as I'm walking towards the Uchiha compound I look at my progress regarding Katon and Doton.

I have noticed that these Jutsu get easier to level the more control I have over their element.

I consider this done for now, I have mastered the required Jutsu and gained a good amount of control. My affinities have also increased but not much, only three or four levels.
I arrive at Sasuki's house and knock on the door. She opens it and asks me why I'm there. I explain that I want to learn the Sharingan: Genjutsu and she directs me to the library.
She then begins telling me about her sensei after I finished telling her about my day yesterday "Yeah, Kakashi told us not to eat and that we should meet him at a training ground the next day. I, of course ate because what he said made no sense, as did Naruko and Sakura. He tested us using bells, telling us we need to get the two of them and leave one teammate behind. We still worked together and that turned out to be the right answer."
I nod, being relieved that my interference in the plot made this turn out better.
"But we've only been doing D-Ranks. He hasn't taught us anything." She then says with a frustrated expression.
'And there it goes.' I sigh and tell her "The D-Ranks are there for you to work on your teamwork and so the village Populus has people to do their manual labor. Just deal with it, I'm sure in a month or so you can go on higher ranked missions. I'll head over to the library now, have fun."
I walk towards the place Sasuki said the building was and head into the library. I look in the Genjutsu section and quickly find a scroll labeled 'Sharingan: Genjutsu.'
I pick it up, sit down on a nearby table and start reading: "The sharingan can cast Genjutsu with but a glance at the opponents eyes. This is called Sharingan: Genjutsu and the strength of the Genjutsu cast depends on your Yin affinity, skill in Genjutsu and on the stage of your sharingan. To cast it, first establish eye contact with the target, then fucus chakra into your active sharingan and proceed to cast a Genjutsu like you normally would with the chakra gathered in your eyes, while envisioning it's effects." then it goes on about the history and feats achieved with this Jutsu.

That's a very good ability.

Having somebody actually teach you does wonders for my skills. Anko said that were taking a mission today and now we are standing in front of the Hokage. He looks up from his papers and says "Finally taking a mission then? Okay what rank?"
Anko, confident in my power, replies "C Rank please. I've trained him well enough."
The Hokage nods and pull out a scroll "There have been reports of missing people in a town near the borders of the hidden hot water village. Only little traces of chakra can be found so we don't suspect anything above genin. Your mission is to find and retrieve the missing people and kill the kidnappers."
Anko picks up the scroll and my first real mission begins.
From next chapter on there will be less talking and more action.
