Hello everyone we are back and GODDAMMIT I cannot pay attention to how much I write, I really downplay how much something needs in a chapter. I legitmately wanted six thousand words but it ended being eight thousand, would've been more if I didn't take out one scene in particular that I'll save for the next chapter. Anyways we are back with a brand new chapter for TMD, which was fun to write, now let's get into the reviews.

Bromega2477: Yeah it's okay, she'll appear someday in the series just not anytime soon. Enjoy!

Necros the Saiyan Knight: No promises but honestly the interactions wouldn't really change. Plus there is more to that Flash, so until then, enjoy!

Tmartn2001: Penny (Genderbend Peter Parker), Gwen Stacy, and Kyrie for now. More soon. Enjoy!

Spiral-Voltron-Zero0Q1: Thanks. Who knows. Enjoy!

Yakuza2010: Oh yeah Ragna is gonna need it, it doesn't get easier. Hmm an interesting idea, but Succubus aren't really known for super strength in my series, go back to the last chapter to see where they excel at. I hope to hear more ideas tho. Enjoy!

AD: I don't know, but that's a pretty weird reason to drop a story because 0.1% of the harem is the same sex. Again, main focus are the girls but whatevs.

Jebest4781: Thanks! Yeah I'm gonna try and build upon the hero community this volume but saving some for the next volume. Enjoy!

Blindluck92: XD that is the literal description of Ragna and things he doesn't wanna do lol. Yeah Trish methods are extreme, and hers won't even be the worst when the time comes for more teachers. Sparda invented the Rizz lol. Huh, lethal guitar vampire...Hmm. Anyways, enjoy!

Poinex slayer5: Yep. Enjoy!

DarkMatter 22: Thanks. I hope you like the story, enjoy!

SaiyaSage: Thanks. The nightmares are a fun tidbit especially when it reaches its climatic conclusion...It's a doozy lol. Yeah I wanted to get much of the lore (At least for the powers) out cause I wanted to make up for it for ADJ. Oh trust me, the time in the kitchen with Cass will come, soon...Soon. I of course got more lore for the series and last chapter was just the TIPPY TOP of the iceberg. Enoy!

With that everyone, I hope everyone enjoys this next chapter, onto the story!

Chapter Six: The Calling of a Hero

(The Marvelous Devil)

"Okay, let's check the list once more: Domino Mask, check. Bandana, check. Secret jacket to keep away from the girls, check. New secret jeans, check. Black boots, check. Box to keep all of this hidden, check. Fingerless glov-!"

"What are you doing?" Ragna looked up from where he sat on the ground seeing Trish stare down at him in confusion. The two were standing at the top of the parking lot where they had started training, the third day in their training regiment on a Wednesday evening. Now the hybrid was currently sitting down cross legged with a notebook in hand, with a box full of clothes inside.

"Just checking my gear for tonight, make sure I got everything I need for tonight's patrol." Ragna explained as he rummaged through the box.

"Patrol?"

"Yep! Tonight's the night I make my first Hero Debut!" Ragna exclaimed triumphantly. He had spent yesterday, skipping online classes, to go and buy some clothes and a bandana. Took him a while to find a domino mask. Luckily he found a costume shop with a set and with one that came in red.

"I think your training is a little more important than making yourself famous in the public eye. The last thing you want is to have all eyes on you."

"Hey, we agreed that if I trained with you I would also be a hero."

"I don't believe we actually made a deal."

"Oh…Well I'm still doing it, I already got the suit and my mind is dead set on this! I've always wanted this!" Trish would be entirely amused by the teen's giddy demeanor if she wasn't confused by it. She never understood heroes, the eccentric love they got when they all seemed like a bunch of weirdos in costumes. She can't deny their physical attributes or powers, being the most powerful beings on the planet, but she would be lying if she said they were a match for what was coming. Still she could not understand Ragna's love for them, nor his reason for wanting to be one, but then again he never actually explained his reasoning. Still she couldn't help but be curious why he wanted to be a hero.

"Why do you love heroes so much? What made you love them?" Trish asked, walking over and sitting on the edge of the building staring across from the hybrid, whose features beamed with joy.

"Oh man why wouldn't you? What's not to love? They're awesome, they save the day, they are loved by everyone….and the heroines are total super models, have you seen them?" Ragna asked, chuckling as he leaned back a bit to stare up at the evening sky.

"But….it all started when I turned seven, a year I was living with my Aunt Leslie and Cass. Those two pretty much raised me, and on that year Leslie got me my first ever comic: The Justice Society of America." Ragna muttered with awe and happiness, it was cute in Trish's eyes, he almost looked childlike with the way he said their name.

"Officially the first ever Superhero team consisting of: Green Lantern, Doctor Fate, the Original Flash, Hourman, Hawkman, Starman, Sandman, Wildcat, Wonder Woman, and all led by the first official hero the First Avenger: Captain America." Ragna explained, looking back at Trish.

"These guys teamed up during the second war, where they defeated the Nazi regime and Captain America punched Hitler in the face. Though America went missing during the climax of the war, supposedly sacrificed themselves to end the war. It's because of them that we're here today….well Americans at least."

"And the Society?"

"Disbanded, I hear they still keep in touch but they aren't really going around saving the day, though I've been hearing on the web about old man Wildcat fighting a few thugs here and there. The Wonder Woman disappeared sometime after the war, never to be seen again, which is a shame because I don't think the old comic does her beauty any Justice." Ragna chuckled before sitting up straight. She watched as he slipped off his red jacket and put it down in place for the new one.

"But back to my reason, after Leslie gave me the comic I was just…..pulled right in. I was welcomed into a world where I wasn't judged so harshly but I felt like I belonged there." He explained tossing the jacket onto Trish, who mumbled an annoyed grumble only to hear his zipper, deciding to give him his privacy for a few moments before he pulled his jacket back to reveal the pair of black jeans, a chain connected to the belt.

"Judged?" Trish asked, noticing the way Ragna rubbed the back of his neck.

"I…I didn't have a lot of friends….or any…..until Penny and the girls showed up in my life. Even today they pretty much are my only friends, but that's more of a my choice sort of thing. So I never really fit in, but with heroes…..I don't know I just felt a connection. Like they were my kind of people, like they would welcome me with open arms…but that was always a dream. I think a part of me deep down always wanted to be a hero cause of my love for them, but now….Now that dream is a reality!" Ragna proclaimed, standing before her in his homemade hero suit. A crimson red jacket just like his other one but with a hoodie, a red domino covering his eyes, and a black bandana. He wore dark navy blue jeans with black leather tactical army boots. It had basically cost him a lot of money he had been saving up, but he'll work for it another time.

"Now I can be a hero, and be welcomed by those like me." Ragna said, tightening his fingerless gloves. Trish eyed the teen for a few moments before shrugging, she was his teacher not his parent, she just had to make sure he didn't get killed before his training was complete. Really if he wanted to be a hero, she didn't care so long as it didn't hinder his training.

"Well I am enjoying the enthusiasm, and I'm sure your friends and family fully support you or something." Trish said, waving her hand lazily, not fully caring.

"Yeah….about that…." Ragna muttered, catching Trish's attention as he rubbed his hands together trying to find the right words.

"They….don't know about this, about any of this. About me wanting to be a hero, and even what I am….besides Aunt Leslie." Ragna said.

"Why do they not know?"

"Well it's sort of like a…..secret identity rule: To protect those I love and to safeguard my city, a hero dons a mask to keep their identity a secret." Ragna explained.

"It also doesn't help that Aunt Cass doesn't like heroes."

"My kind of woman, but why doesn't she?"

"I don't really know, she never explained why." Ragna shrugged. Ever since she could remember Cass always had a distaste for heroes. She allowed him to read comics and manga on them, but she always was negative about them. Why, he never knew, and she always kept it to herself.

"Does every hero do this?"

"Well not all of them, some are so famous they revel in their popularity or are big name teams like the Fantastic Four in California, or the Rabbit Hero Miruko-Who is a total hottie-in Japan, to even some of the Justice Society members like Captain America. The point is some like Spider-Girl or the Vigilantes in Gotham keep their identity a secret, but there are some who are more open about themselves cause I guess they aren't afraid of those who could harm? I'm not really sure the reason." Ragna shrugged. He always considered the secret identity as a more safer and logical choice heroes made, what if villains found out?

"Okay, but why do you bother?"

"Uh, because I wanna keep my family safe from villains."

"Right, from costumed weirdos, I get it. But demons are a different story Ragna, once they have your scent it doesn't matter where you are they will hunt you down." Trish explained. Demons don't have to worry about finding out his identity, they will recognize his blood as either Sparda's or just a powerful demon they can try and devour to gain strength.

"Well I'll figure something out, how hard can it be? Besides, isn't there a way I'll figure out if demons are nearby? Like a demon radar or demon echolocation? Decho Location?" Ragna asked.

"First off that wasn't a real word, secondly there is a way and that is what today's training is all about." Trish said standing up and walking towards the center of the parking lot.

"Oh….about that." Ragna clicked his tongue, seething as he turned to the blonde.

"What?" Trish looked over her shoulder, mildly glaring at the hybrid.

"I was thinking…..that today I could….skip training and go out and patrol. You may not think it's the best idea b-OW!" Ragna yelped as Trish reappeared in front of him and flicked his forehead.

"You're right, I don't like the idea. You can patrol on weekends after training, this is more important than playing dress up." Trish turned back as Ragna rubbed his head, glaring irritatingly at the woman. If she wasn't so damn hot.

"Hey, I can do both, think of this as more of a…field exercise, see how far I can make it out there, and in doing so you can figure out what I did right or wrong and what I should do in our next training session." Ragna suggested.

"I mean come on, I've been improving, I'm probably already faster than a car, right? That's cool!" Trish crossed her arms and hummed, taking in his words. Truth be told she knew exactly he just wanted to go out and try his first patrol as a hero, but she also couldn't find fault in his logic. She could keep an eye on him while he went out patrol and see how he did in a fight, and chances are he'll run into a demon…..or she could push him in the right direction.

"...Alright, you make a compelling argument, and I like the idea….but in return you have to do something for me." Trish turned to Ragna, a smoldering smirk on her lips, the hybrid's eyes widened at the secret meaning behind the words.

"...Look, you're incredibly hot, like an absolute bombshell of a woman….but I am happily dating three girls." Trish looked at the hybrid like he grew a second head.

"Ragna."

"I'm totally fine with flirting with girls and so are mine, but having sex when we barely know each other isn't my thing. Maybe if we got to know each other better and that's only WHEN and IF you get my girl's permission it's this whole thing we have."

"Ragna."

"Now if you want a massage or peck on the cheek those are free of charge, Ragna is always happy to please the ladies." Ragna chuckled with a sly grin.

"Ragna!"

"What?"

"As much as I appreciate the offer, I'll wait until you're a few years older, but what I mean is later tonight I need you to do something for me."

"Oh! Like what?"

"You'll see, now go on your little patrol, clocks ticking." With a snap of her fingers, and a flash of lightning, Trish was gone leaving Ragna alone on the top of the parking lot. Ragna took a deep breath before putting one foot and overlooking the city beyond, his city, one he will now protect as the great and mighty….

"...Crap, I haven't thought of a superhero name." Ragna muttered, rubbing his chin before shrugging. Baby steps, he'll take it all in stride. With a pop of his neck Ragna ran towards the opposite edge of the building, taking one big leap. Ragna shut his eyes closed when his feet hit the ground, opening one to see he was on the other roof, letting out a small cheer and pumping his fist into the air.

"Haha! Take that bird, you evil spawns of darkness! And now, the city awaits for their dashing hero!" Ragna exclaimed as he began running and hopping over buildings, all the while he was being watched by Trish.

"Let's see how ready you really are, Son of Sparda."

"Oh crap I gotta call Cass and let her know I'll be out late!"

(The Marvelous Devil)

"Oh hey apparently there's a little Hero Appreciation Con going on in Redgrave, apparently introducing a new hero to the public." Gwen muttered, despite showing no enthusiasm as she stated this news to Penny.

"..."

"...Penny? Earth to Penny."

"H-Huh? Oh. That's cool, I think, sorry Gwen I'm just thinking about Ragna." Penny muttered, staring down at her own hands.

"Listen I know we're his girlfriends and I love him, but that doesn't mean he has to be the topic twenty-four seven." Gwen stated, glaring at Penny.

"N-No not like that, it's just…..I feel like we should tell him….about all this." Penny said, gesturing between the two of them as they sat right on the side of a building staring at the city below in their superhero costumes. After school Penny and Gwen headed back home but she had to lie to Aunt May and Gwen's family that they would spend a few more hours at the cafe. May was fine since she was practically a sister to Cass, when it took a little more convincing for Gwen's father, George Stacy. Her mom was fine, but Gwen's dad was always more against the idea…..and Gwen suspected why. Still, while he was reluctant he had no choice once her mother allowed it, giving him the 'Stacy Glare' she always used on Ragna. It always works.

"Penny, we talked about this. We can't tell anyone, not even Kyrie and Ragna." Gwen sighed. Penny did this every few months, contemplating whether to tell their girlfriend and boyfriend that the two were actually the Amazing Spider-Girl and Spectacular Ghost-Spider, the heroines of New York City and sometimes Redgrave. It was a heavy burden, but it was one they had to carry since practically no one knows about their secret life.

"I know, I know, but I would feel so much better if they knew. They have a right to know, at least Ragna and Kyrie." Penny stated.

"By that reasoning so do our parents, who should I remind you, one of them is a captain of NYPD and hates OUR guts. We also have the responsibility to keep our identities, and there's a secret cause of our rogue gallery of villains who ESPECIALLY HATE our guts." Gwen exclaimed, holding up her hands in exasperation.

"But we can handle them, we do it pretty much every day!"

"Yeah, and they still have no idea who we are, what do you think is gonna happen when they do find out? May I remind you that we fight: A guy wearing a green suit calling himself the Vulture, a weirdo in a mask casting illusions calling himself Mysterio~~~. Shocker whose whole gimmick is the electro gauntlets, a monster that is half man, half electricity, some psycho in a scorpion suit, a living pile of sand, criminal kingpins and gangsters like Hammerhead and Tombstone. That's not even including the more loser ones like Screwball, Big Wheel, and-!"

"Rhino."

"Well actually I was gonna say Stilt-Ma-!"

"No! Rhino!" Penny pointed down to a nearby bank, watching as a large figure ram right through it. Penny and Gwen hopped off the building and swung, police sirens echoing in the distance. They swung into the massive man size hole, civilians and workers running out as something tossed the vault door into another wall. Both spider heroines peeked inside to see possibly the biggest man on Earth in a rhino inspired power suit.

"Ya know most people wait in line, but yours is pretty effective too, Rhino." Spider-Girl remarked, hanging upside down from the now opened vault, staring down at Rhino who now scoffed.

(Rhino: 100% Pure Muscle and Rage)

"Of course bug girls find me, can't rob one bank in this damn city without you showing up." Rhino grunted as he grabbed a huge wad of cash.

"Hey, hey now it took us a hot minute to find ya, we just followed your…..calling card." Ghost-Spider muttered, leaning back to see the giant hole he made in the bank.

"Pah, joke all you want, I have what I want!" Rhino roared as he took a large chunk of the wall and tossed it towards the heroines, using the diversion to burst through the wall and run down the street.

"Come on, Rhiny, you know how this ends!" Spider-Girl called out, the two web-slingers chasing after the behemoth. He bulldozed through several walls and buildings until he reached a road leading up to a ramp.

"He's heading into Redgrave?!" Ghost-Spider called out, swinging behind her partner.

"He can't lose us on the bridge, let's go!"

(The Marvelous Devil)

A city away, several police cars were in the middle of a shootout with a gang near Redgrave Park. Civilians were given a wide berth but some stayed behind to get a good shot and record the fight.

"FUCK YOU PIGS!" One gangster called out, firing several shots that hit an officer in the shoulder, his partner grabbing him and pulling behind the car.

"This is Officer Davis! Requesting imm-!"

"HERO TIME!" A voice called out from above, police officers and gangsters looking up to see a figure falling towards the ground and landing between both factions. He took his blade and easily cut through several bullets, aiming it at the criminals.

"Hero time, could've been better…..anyways. Never fear, citizens, for your hero of Redgrave City has arrived!" Ragna declared, aiming his blade at the gangster.

"What the?" Officer Davis muttered.

"Oh man, is that a superhero?" A civilian called out, zooming in on Ragna.

"If it is, his costume looks like he made it from scrap." Another one said, which did not go unheard by Ragna, who grumbled under his breath. The gangsters looked at each other and Ragna, who took a deep breath and cleared his throat.

"Listen up, I'm gonna offer you guys one chance to surrender, and if you don't well…..I think you have a pretty good idea what's gonna happ-!"

"Man, dust this freak." The leader ordered, the gang firing off several rounds towards the hybrid. Now to the normal human who was untrained dodging a bullet was short of a miracle, but to Ragna: The Son of Sparda and a demon hybrid, and thanks to his training, he could see the bullets. They were fast, but not so fast that he could lean back far enough that he dodged them, twisting his blade and slicing through them. He leaned back up and caught the last one in his left hand, gripping the bullet tightly, looking back at the gangsters. Each one looked in shock and awe, one moment they had fired probably over a hundred bullets, in the next few seconds they were all sliced into pieces with the last one being caught.

"...Naw, I'm out. I'm done, I'm good." One man muttered, lowering his gun.

"Bob, the fuck man?!"

"Bruh, he neo'd the bullets, proceeded to cut them, and caught one. I ain't messing with that, it ain't worth it." The man said, lowering himself until he was laying on the road.

"But Darius will fucking kill us-!"

"But he ain't here right now, and I'm not gonna fight Neo over there." Bob mumbled from the road. Ragna winced a bit as he dropped the bullet, noticing it left a burn mark on his hand before it healed itself, shrugging his shoulders and looking back at the group of criminals.

"...Anyone else?" Ragna asked, gesturing to the rest of the gangsters.

"Man fuc-!" The leader gangster was silenced when Ragna lunged towards him, slamming his fist into the guy's cheek, knocking a few teeth out and sending him flying into a car. Ragna spun his blade deflecting several bullets before he ran towards them, kneeing one in the gut and knocking one out with the butt of his handle.

"Should we help?" An officer asked, looking at Davis.

"Naw, let's see how well he does, then we'll finish the job." Davis ordered, watching Ragna fight. He jumped over the car and rolled out of the gunfire, hurling himself towards the larger gangster, headbutting him in the head. Ragna twirled his blade and threw it at a charging gangster, hitting him square in the temple and knocking him out. Ragna caught his sword and sheathed it, throwing his fist back and knocking one of the last gangsters out.

"...Yeah, I'm glad I made the right choice." Bob muttered.

"Same." Ragna said, leaning on his blade, looking over his shoulder to see the lead gangster pulling himself back on his feet.

"Oh…Oh you're dead now, freak. I ain't going back, it's either you or Darius and I sure as hell ain't facing that psycho!"

"Darius?" Ragna asked, never heard of such a person. Then again he never really focused on criminals or the gangs of Redgrave.

"So if ya think I'm just gonna let ya stop me you freak of nature ya got another thi-!"

"Yeah, yeah, just hold on I'm thinking." Ragna muttered, spinning his blade and placing it on his shoulder, unaware of what he cut.

"Now…..if this Darius guy is the Kingpin of Redgrave, I'll have to find him, question is how? Maybe you can….Hehe…..Nice Ponies, man." Ragna chuckled as he turned to face the lead gangster, only to see his pants were not cut thanks to him spinning his blade, making them drop instantly revealing his 'My Little Pony' boxers.

"HehehehehahahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"SHUT UP IT AINT FUNNY!"

"Hahahahohohohoo-It's pretty funny." Ragna chuckled, wiping a tear away.

"Excuse me." Ragna turned to see several officers, the man known as Davis staring at him with a disapproving glare with his arms crossed.

"Oh! Yeah they're all yours, Officer." Ragna stepped back.

"Thanks, so who are you supposed to be? The Crimson Cowl?" Davis asked, gesturing to Ragna's coat.

"If I wanted a superhero name it wouldn't stupid." Ragna grumbled, glaring at the cop before clearing his throat, since he didn't have an official name he'll improvise.

"Who I am is unimportant, but know that I am Redgrave City's first official hero!" Ragna declared triumphantly, pointing his finger at Davis in a dramatic pose.

"...Right, well kid, maybe you should leave this to the professionals." Davis shrugged off Ragna walking over to the criminals.

"Oh….you mean you guys who were clearly at a standoff until I arrived? I guess that means I am a professional now, huh?" Ragna chuckled as he elbowed Davis who rolled his eyes.

"Listen, Crimson Hero-!"

"Seriously I feel like you're just trying to annoy me now."

"-This ain't a job for kids, even for heroes so I suggest you go and finish your school work."

"Sheesh, dude, why you actin like that? I came to help." Ragna retorted, glaring at Davis. It reminded….it reminded him of his teachers, the way the cop stared at him, so judgmental….and he didn't even know him.

"And besides, no one got hurt!"

"Back off, fuckers!" Both of them turned to see the lead gangster push two officers away and reach into his pocket, pulling out a small object.

"Grenade!" Davis called out as panic began in the street, just as the thug pulled the pin and threw the grenade. Thinking quickly, Ragna pulled his blade out and held it like a bat, hitting the grenade and tossing it into the air.

"Ha! See, I have it all under control." Davis groaned, glaring at the hero. Both unaware of the grenade landing near a sewer drain.

BOOM

Both of them turned to see a sewer lid explode, water spraying everywhere, before the lid landed on a fire hydrant which caused it to release the pressure and fire a torrent of water.

"..."

"..."

"...Well at least no one got hurt." Ragna said, chuckling nervously.

"Oh yeah, I feel the city is in great ha-What the?" Davis turned to see the hero gone.

"No need to thank me Civilians!" Everyone looked up to see Ragna standing on top of a building, overlooking them below.

"All in a day's work for Redgrave City's newest and official hero!"

"You're terrible at this!" Davis called out.

"I'M NEW!" Ragna waved off the cop before disappearing from sight, grumbling to himself about ungrateful cops with batons stuck up their bums. Another hour later Ragna had pretty much not seen a lick of crime, which did sour his mood a bit, that is until Trish texted him.

(The Marvelous Devil)

"Sorry Rhino, this is…our…stop!" Spider-Girl grunted as she swung around a bridge cable and into Rhino's cheek, knocking him back a bit. The villain grunted and tried to swing at the heroine only for another webbing to stop him, looking back to see the Ghost-Spider. He snorted and grabbed her webbing, pulling the webbed hero towards him only for Ghost-Spider to jump over his fist and deliver a roundhouse kick.

"Pah, puny bugs!" Rhino roared as traffic honked around him, the heroines firing webs to keep him down. With a roar he grabbed a nearby car and threw it at the two, both heroines dropping everything they did and grabbing the car mid-air hoping to stop it safely. He took this chance and ran through traffic towards Redgrave City.

"There ya go, maybe next time look both ways if ya see a giant man in a rhino suit." Spider-Girl joked at the couple in the car, while Ghost-Spider smacked her forehead.

"He's getting away!" She reminded her partner as they shot into the air and swung after him, finally entering Redgrave City.

(The Marvelous Devil)

"So how's your patrol going so far?" Trish asked, looking over as the hybrid landed beside her.

"Oh…great! I'm already getting a fanbase."

"Really? Was it before or after you knocked a grenade into the sewers?" Trish asked, secretly enjoying the way his body stiffened, rubbing his arm in embarrassment and clearing his throat.

"...I mean no one got hurt still." Ragna reasoned.

"I think it's time I check in on that favor, and it's time to begin the next lesson in your training: Killing a demon." Ragna's eyes widened, hand slowly reaching for his blade. He knew he would have to face this sooner or later, preferably later. Sure he's killed some insects and arachnids, and he killed Ancala…..but those were completely different scenarios, Ancala because of adrenaline rush.

"I…..I don't know if I'm fully ready, and ya know I like to think I'm ready for most things, but beside Ancala I've never….killed another thing like a demon before. And besides how am I gonna kill a demon when there isn't one arou-!"

"RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

"..."

"...Wanna take a guess?"

"I can put two and two together." Ragna stated as they looked down into a nearby alley, seeing a large silhouette in the darkness below. Ragna took a small whiff and instantly regretted it, smelling rotten eggs and feces.

"Ugh, what has that demon been swimming in?" Maybe he should put it out, for both his and everyone else's sake.

"Sewage, rotten meat, anything it can find. This is much more mindless and more feral than Ancala, arguably weaker though. I think it's a good start for your first real fight with an average level demon." Trish said, gesturing to the beast as it tore into something. Ragna was still hesitant, but he didn't take a step back, when a hand was placed on his shoulder.

"I already told you that you need to accept this, so I'll make it as clear as the sky: Kill it, or it will find your scent, track you, and kill everything in its way until it only has you." Trish stated plainly, and memories of how Ancala survived their first encounter and followed Ragna's scent into Redgrave made him realize she was right. Taking a deep breath, Ragna jumped off the building and landed in front of the alley, noting how badass he looked. He ducked under a tossed garbage bag, getting a closer look into the darkness, seeing a large mass of fur with its back to him, albeit smaller than Ancala.

"...Alright, Fuzzball, let's get this over with. I think I'll do us both a favor by getting rid of this stench. Ho boy it's worse than Gwen's cooking." Ragna muttered as the beast snorted and snarled, finally noticing the hybrid behind him. Ragna's cocky grin faltered once the beast began standing at full height, nearly a head taller than the already giant Ancala. The demon seemed to look between the mix of a gorilla, a baboon, and a bird? Feathers were around its neck like a mane and its arms.

"Uh…Trish! What kind of demon was this?"

"An Orangguera, a low level demon….but still one of the stronger ones." Trish yelled back, as the demon monkey roared in his face.

(Oranggeurra: No monkey business)

"...Nice monkey." The demon responded by punching Ragna square in the face, knocking him right into the wall before running after him. Ragna rolled back onto his feet and swung his blade at the charging demon, slashing across its cheek. The demon hissed and grabbed a car within the garage they now stood in. Ragna ducked under the flying vehicle and rolled out of a punch, stabbing the demon into the arm. Ragna felt something wrap around his leg, looking down to see a tail pull him into the air and slamming him into beams and cars.

Using its swinging momentum, Ragna sliced through the tail with his blade, the demon roaring and barking in pain as the hybrid pulled the tail off his ankle. He took the cut limb and threw it at the demon, temporarily catching it by surprise, lunging towards the demon swinging his sword. The demon lifted up its hand catching Ragna with the blade stabbing through its flesh, the Oranggeurra howling before tossing him into another wall. The demon snarled, howling at Ragna, but its nature could smell the power radiating off the hybrid. Still, that blade was cutting it apart and it did think such a meal was worth its own life. Taking a car it threw it at the garage doors opening them up, running through them.

"Oh no you aren't!" Ragna exclaimed as he grabbed a nearby pile of chains. Whipping them in the air like a lasso, he threw the chains towards the demon monkey, wrapping it around its right wrist, the demon snarling at the metal around its arm but continued to run. Ragna yelped as he was pulled along with it out of the garage and into the street.

"Owowowowowowowowowow!" Ragna muttered, dragging across the pavement before flipping his body and skating his boots against the road as he was practically dragged through the city. The demon jumps onto the side of a building with Ragna now dangling in the air, seeing what was in front of him.

"Nonononon-GRK!" Ragna's body was slammed into the back of a frozen meat truck, followed by a stop light, and crashed into the side of a building shattering the windows. Ragna's head was spinning before he glared up at the rampaging demon, jerking on the chain forcing it to fall back to the ground. It roared as Ragna lunged towards it, tackling the beast across the road and over the edge of the highway, straight towards the back of the Redgrave Convention Center. Inside hundreds of fans waited in delight for the introduction of a brand new hero to the community of Justice.

"And here she is folks, all the way from the Japan Branch: Mt. La-!"

BOOM

KERASH

Everyone looked as the wall in the back exploded as something large tumbled through, before it threw something into a large shelf of action figures and toys.

"Ow…..Oh sweet, limited edition?"

"GRAH!" The demon roared as it noticed the multitude of humans, aka fresh meat, licking its lips in delight.

"Hey! Oh no you don't you stinkin' monk-Oh my god is that the new 20 inch model of Nana, the Heroine of Japan Kazuku?" Ragna beamed, admiring the figurine with that got her design right down to her raven hair and yellow cape.

"Yes it is, along with the twenty inch model of Power Girl!" The man showed the new model of the heroine of Metropolis, and they did not exaggerate her already impressive bosom.

"Oh yeah this is so-Oh right the demon!" Ragna exclaimed as he ran over and hopped onto a table, pointing his blade at the demon as it snarled at the running humans.

"Hey ugly! Eyes on me, monkey see, monkey do!"

"...Man, that's kind of stereotyping, ya know?"

"It's a giant demon monkey! It's not off the ma-WOAH!" Ragna jumped at the last second avoiding the Orangguerra's tackle, the demon quickly bulldozing through stands.

"Get back here! I'm coming back for these later! See if ya got a Spider-Girl one." Ragna told the man, before quickly running after the demon. All the while the new heroine gawked in shock and anger, seeing some weirdo in lame and ugly clothes along with an oversized gorilla steal her thunder.

"Oh no they don't!"

(The Marvelous Devil) (AN: I want everyone to play 'Close to you by Carpenters' and you'll know EXACTLY when lol)

"Stop running Rhino!" Spider-Girl growled as she and Ghost-Spider were practically skating across the roar with webs latched onto Rhino's lower back. They were chasing the mad giant across the city and now he was heading straight towards a convention center. Fans were waiting outside for the new heroine's debut, unaware of the impending danger until they could hear and feel the Rhino's footsteps.

"Puny bugs will never stop the Rhi-OOF!" At the last second, the Rhino crashed into something, the momentum knocking him and whatever hit him into the air.

"Stop it you goddamn-Oh!" Ragna stopped at the large hole the demon made at the front of the store, glass everywhere, when he saw it had crashed into something large.

"LOOK OUT!"

"Hu-OOF!" Everything slowed down for Ragna, as two individuals crashed into him. He felt his feet leave the ground and into the air but his vision was obscured, realizing it was two wonderful sets of bosoms smothering his face. His arms wrapped around the individuals so he didn't go flying higher, his body spinning in the air. Rhino and the Orangguerra were screaming as they went spinning like a wheel, all the while this was all recorded, even as the demon's saliva landed in the villain's mouth.

The scene was quite comical watching the sudden arrival of the spider heroines along with the Rhino, and this random teen chasing the giant demonic monkey. Rhino and the Oranggeurra slammed back onto the ground, while Ragna and the heroines flew high into the air before descending. Seeing how fast they were going, Ragna twisted his body taking the blunt force to his back and head, rolling across the road.

"Oh god…..is this heaven?" Ragna asked, leaning up only to be smothered again.

"If it is…..this isn't so bad."

"Hey, watch it!" Ghost Spider seethed as she hopped off the masked figure, glaring down at him….did he grope her?

"Are you okay, Sir?" Spider-Girl asked, rolling off Ragna and back on her feet.

"Sir? I ain't that old La-OH my god it's Spider-Girl and Ghost Spider!" Ragna exclaimed, hopping back on his feet and quickly shaking the red spider's hand.

"Hehe, so nice to meet a fan." Spider-Girl giggled.

"Oh yeah, I love you girls, me and my girlfriend-and her friends really admire ya." Ragna explained, keeping his lover's life a secret.

"Really? Say you sound really familiar." Spider-Girl hummed, leaning up at the hybrid, who began to chuckle nervously. He figured they would realize he was the student from Redgrave when Ancala attacked, and wishing to not have his secret identity discovered quite literally on his first day, he needed to keep up the disguise.

"Really? I don't think we ever met." Ragna lied, trying to make his voice deeper, shrugging his shoulders. He sniffed the air and smelled lavender, it reminded him of Penny since it was her favorite shampoo aroma.

"I mean by that standard you sound familiar? Have we met?'

"Uh…no." Spider-Girl croaked, trying to make her voice sound deeper.

"Okay, that's enough of that." Ghost Spider stepped in pulling her partner away, her mask narrowed in suspicion of this newcomer. She also didn't like how he possibly groped her, she didn't have proof, but with the way he dressed she wouldn't put it past him.

"Uh….Hi." Ragna chuckled, offering his hand to the petite but honestly really cute superhero.

"Who the hell are ya?" Ghost Spider growled, pointing a finger at the hybrid.

"Who am I? I am Redgrave City's first official hero! I am now the protector of this beloved City as the…..As uh…..Um…The Crimson…Swordsman?" Ragna muttered, looking at the handle of his blade.

"Crimson Swordsman? Really?" Both of them asked, staring up at the hybrid.

"RRRRRRAAAAAHHHHH!"

"...Be right back!" Ragna quickly used the demon reawakening to escape and draw his blade, images of his loved ones appearing in his head as he lunged into the air. The Oranggeurra roared and snarled at the flashing lights, fans looking at the creature in awe wondering where it came from. The demon was scared, it was furious, it was HUNGRY, and it will devour these mortal fle-

"HIYA!" With a battle cry, Ragna jumped onto the beast's back, plunging his blade through its skull and out of its mouth. The demon let out its last cry, dropping to the ground, dead.

"...Hiya? Man, I gotta come up with a better catchphrase." Ragna mumbled as he pulled his sword out and swung it in the air, cleaning it of blood.

"Haha! And that folks is how you end a demon thre…Oh, um." Ragna muttered as he looked at several girls, who now had their faces covered with demon blood.

"Uh….Ya know, I'm sure that will come off with a nice shower…..and maybe check a doctor afterwards." Ragna explained, slowly backing up, when he heard groaning behind him turning around to come face to face with the villain.

"The Rhino?! No way, I've never seen you up close before, man you really are big. Is that a suit you wear? I never noticed, never got close enough." Ragna said as he walked up and tapped the kneeling villain's helmet.

"Uh, I wouldn't do that if I were you, Swordsman!" Spider-Girl yelled from the side, but Ragna waved her off.

"Naw naw, it's cool, I got this guy for you ladies." Rhino growled as he stood at full height, watching as the newcomer held his fist up ready to fight the behemoth.

"Little man wanna die? Fine by me!" Rhino roared as he smashed the ground and stood at full height, pulling his fist back.

"Let's go, Horn Head!" Ragna called out, pulling his fist back.

"CANYON!" A new voice called out, stopping the two.

"Huh?"

"(What the?)" Rhino muttered in Russian, the ground suddenly shaking as a large foot slammed beside them before hopping into the air. Both hero and villain looked up to see quite possibly the tallest woman ever, several stories tall wearing a purple and pale-tan skin tight suit with purple horns, as she jumped into the air with one foot aimed down right at them.

"CANNON!"

"OH CRAP!" Ragna jumped out of the way

"(GREAT MOTHERLAND!)" Rhino was too slow as the large woman slammed her boot on the behemoth.

"Are you okay?" Spider-Girl asked, swinging over and helping Ragna up.

"Yeah…Yeah, ya know I always wanted to say 'step on me Mommy'….gonna be honest, not as hot as I thought it'd be." Ragna muttered, dusting herself off.

"Perv." Ghost Spider muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes.

"OMG It's Mt. Lady!" Several fans cried out catching Ragna and the spider heroines attention as the woman stood up and held Rhino in her hands, dropping onto the road.

(Mt. Lady: The Giganto Heroine!)

"Yes! Yes it is I! I am pleased to meet everyone here! My lovely and loyal fans!" Mt. Lady called out, shrinking down to normal size as the police began to arrive.

"Who is she?" Ragna asked.

"A new hero." Ghost Spider muttered, shaking her head as the clear as day attention whore of a heroine waved and smiled at her fans. It reminded her of the snobby and pretentious popular kids in Redgrave.

"Huh, just like me. Cool. Cute butt too." Ragna muttered with his arms crossed.

"And do my eyes deceive me, are you two the heroines of New York, Spider-Girl and Spider-Ghost?" Mt. Lady asked, walking up to the two with a beaming smile.

"Ghost….Spider." The heroine grumbled.

"Hi! It's so nice to meet another hero in the service of Justice. I'm Spider-Girl." Said heroine walked up offering her hand.

"Wow, so that means that big lug I knocked out was your enemy?" She asked, pointing behind her to the unconscious Rhino as a large vehicle drove, the officers trying to contain the behemoth.

"Uh…yeah?" Spider-Girl muttered, noticing that Mt. Lady grip tightened a bit.

"Gee, it's weird that I took down a villain in one blow while you were playing pattycake and messing around, probably causing damage everywhere he went." Mt. Lady listed, her smile seemingly becoming forced as her right eye twitched.

"Uh…..Sorry."

"...That's OKAY!" Mt. Lady cheered, wrapping an arm around Spider-Girl as she posed for the fans and flashing cameras.

"Just so long as you learn, famous heroes such as I can always be there to clean up the mess you spider heroines are famously known for." Mt. Lady laughed, Spider-Gir suddenly felt very uncomfortable as while Mt. Lady's smile was charming, her eyes told a different story: Don't mess up again.

"...Famous? I never heard of you." As if someone broke glass, Mt. Lady's smile became more forceful, slowly turning her head to face Ragna, who had a hand on his chin.

"And it's weird cause I know a lot about heroes, in fact didn't it say in there welcome Mt. Lady in the convention so you must be ne-!" Ragna looked down to see Mt. Lady now inches from his own face, using her powers to grow a few inches taller. Ragna wasn't entirely unnerved by the clearly forced smile and twitching right eye, but he knew he would have to choose his next words carefully.

"...I mean you do have a nice butt though." His brain has failed him once again, but it seemed Mt. Lady had ignored his comment, taking a deep breath.

"And who exactly….are you?"

"I'm the new hero of Redgrave City!" Ragna declared triumphantly.

"Oh is that so? And as a hero you take enjoyment in killing helpless animals?" Mt. Lady called out, pointing to the dead Oranggeurra.

"Uh….That's not an animal, that's a demon from Hell." Ragna explained.

"Oh so not only did you carelessly bring a creature from 'Hell' you also almost endangered everyone here!" Mt. Lady asked, glaring at the hybrid. She didn't believe anything he said, but she wasn't against using it to undermine him especially for ruining HER debut.

"Wha? Lady that thing got the jump on me and ran away, I gave chase! And I caught it."

"Of which I am sure civilians got caught in the crossfire and the needless destruction of the environment around you." Mt. Lady remarked, gesturing to the destroyed entrance of the Redgrave Convention Center.

"Okay I'm sorry some glass got broken here and there but what matters is that I saved the day."

"Yes, what matters is that no one got hurt by your reckless endeavor to handle the beast all by your lonesome self. Next time let the real Heroes handle it, preferably S-B, of which I am near top ten in B Class!" Mt. Lady said, turning to the fans.

"Reckless?! Real heroes?! I'll show you bit-!"

"OKAY! Thank you for the help, Miss Mt. Lady, have a good night!" Spider-Girl quickly grabbed Ragna's hand and fired a web into the air, both her and Ghost Spider swinging away with Ragna dangling beneath them.

"Remember! The real heroes are always here…..losers." Mt. Lady sneered for a second before turning to the cheering fans, waving at them and blowing kisses. On a nearby roof, Ragna and the two heroines watch the new hero's debut, when he notices their attention is on him now.

"So…..love the suits, it really fits those luscious curves, who's up for a selfie?" Ragna asked, holding up his phone.

"Hehe, as fun and tempting as that is, we should make sure Rhino gets back to Ryker's Island." Spider-Girl said, gesturing to the convoy delivering the behemoth villain.

"Oh, right….Well how about I accompany you two, I'm sure a trio is better than a duo." Ragna jokes, earning a small glare from Ghost Spider.

"No thanks, we work better together, come on." With that Ghost Spider left without another word, swinging across the buildings leaving Spider-Girl and Ragna. He looked over at the red and blue themed spider heroine, considered one of his idols….and crush. Sure she may not hold a candle to his Penny, or Gwen, or Kyrie, but she seemed so outgoing and he didn't like the way that Mt. Lady. A part of him was hoping they would be partners in the future, but he wasn't stupid, he could clearly see that Ghost Spider instantly didn't like him. Maybe it was the mask since no one could tell what he looked like, considering he was dropped dead handsome, that she judged him by his clothes. Still, he hoped he could hit it off with the two, and they would make a perfect team someday.

"So uh….Yeah, it was nice meeting ya, don't worry about tonight. Trust me, the first day is always rough." Spider-Girl advised, remembering her first time fighting her and Ghost Spider's first villain, the Vulture.

"Right…."

"SG!" Ghost Spider called out from a nearby building.

"That's my cue, see ya around…..Mr. Swordsman~~~!" Spider-Girl giggled as she swung away leaving Ragna alone on the roof, alone with his thoughts and after everything that just happened, Ragna could only think of one thing.

(The Marvelous Devil)

"Well….tonight was not my night." Ragna grumbled, feet dangling over the edge of the parking lot, staring at the city beyond. Sure he stopped the gangsters, saved some cops, and killed a demon. He also caused damage to the city, got on the wrong foot with law enforcement, and did not make a good first impression with Spider-Girl, Ghost Spider, and that other heroine.

"Rough night, huh?" Trish asked, standing beside Ragna. She didn't need an answer, she had watched the whole thing. Quite comical, it brought a smile to her lips, but she also wasn't surprised. Humans were humans, heroes or not. It seemed her pupil didn't see that, oh well, wasn't her problem. Leaning down she patted Ragna's shoulder, staring up at the stars above.

"Well….. chin up, aside from the damage no one got killed or seriously injured. You also stopped a demon rampage, I'd say that was a good start and it proves you're improving. A couple more of these and you'll be a pro devil hunter…..maybe even a pro hero." Trish added, ignoring Ragna's stunned expression, before he let out a small chuckle.

"Thanks Trish, always tomorrow." Ragna wasn't gonna drop his new dream on the first day, he knows he can do better, and he will. He'll prove to the city he is their hero, no matter what stands in his way, be they demon or villain.

"...Oh crap, I gotta get home. Luckily Cass already knows I'll be back late. Night Trish!" With that Ragna began hopping all the way back home, leaving the blonde to her own thoughts.

"Sparda…..if only you could see your son now."

(The Marvelous Devil)

Ragna made it home, slowly sliding open his window and slipping right in. He carefully unsheathed his sword and placed it in his closet as well as pulling out the secret stash box. He began slowly discarding his clothes and mask, placing it all within, hoping not to wake Cass.

"Meow."

"Grk!" Ragna croaked, turning around to see Mochi standing on his dresser.

"Mochi! What are you doing? Get out of here!" Ragna whispered quietly, pointing to his door.

"...Meow." Mochi looked to Ragna's bed, the hybrid already knowing what he wants.

"No! You are not sleeping on my bed, go sleep with Cass or your own god dang bed!"

"..."

"..."

"...Meow."

"No."

"MEOW."

"NO."

"MEOW!"

"...FINE. Fine, fine, I am too tired for this. I hate cats." Ragna groaned as the cat happily purred, hopping off his dresser and onto his bed. The hybrid slipped into his boxers and right into his blankets with Mochi at his feet. He let out a soft sigh, enjoying the peace and quiet, and awaited the sweet welcome of sle-!

BEEP BEEP BEEP

"Ragna! Time to wake up, School starts in an hour!" Cass called from in the hallway, unaware of the wide eyed stare her nephew had.

"..."

"...Meow."

"...FFFFUUU-!"

And done! Another chapter for The Marvelous Devil!

Achievement unlocked: The Hero Debut (Introduced to Redgrave City).

This chapter was pretty fun to write, my one issue was the length, I wanted it to be about six thousand words. Sadly I underestimate how much I write and how intense I get when writing. So admittedly the first draft for this chapter had Ragna actually get smashed by Mt. Lady ass with Rhino pushing her off him and her landed on the hero. While it would've been funny I'm just gonna save it for a rainy day. Another version I had was Ragna actually ight Rhino but honestly I don't really wanna do long fights with these characters. I don't hate Rhino, it just wouldn't be as fun. Same with the demon monkey, I didn't really care enough to make it an interesting fight. Not every demon needs a battle of the gods esque fight. Speaking of demon, was originally gonna use a Baron of Hell from Doom but with a different name and make it reminiscent to the Rhino chase in Miles Morales but decided against to use a demon from DMC, and what better then probably the LAMEST fucken boss in DmC history. Or at least the top five, this thing sucks and is a terrible boss to fight. Nothing of interest, but then again it was DMC2, btw I do like playing the game but man was it a downgrade. I also don't want Ragna to be a bit of a pushover, so he will definitely bite back which may or may not make it worse for him in the future, we'll see lol.

Also I pretty introduced the first MHA character into the series and mentioned one, Mt. Lady is a prime example for what the Hero Community, or at least a large majority of what it is like. It's a mix of MHA, OPM, DC, and Marvel. I wanna get into it but it requires spoilers so I'm gonna leave that I'm gonna enjoy exploring the hero society. Yes I made Captain America part of the Justice Society, and the Wonder Woman plotline is one I am continuing from ADJ. Another I was trying to do was gauge Ragna's 'Hero Persona' ya know how certain heroes have different personalities: Superman and Clark Kent, Bruce and Batman in SOME iterations, Peter Parker and Spider-Man, etc, etc. It will change overtime but in his head he's trying to be an 'All Might' kind of hero, what do you guys think of it so far? I also did not let the three know it was one or the other, which plays on the whole 'in plain sight' deal with heroes. It's dumb, and that's the point, as it will be addressed when they finally reveal themselves in the next arc, I promise this won't be a whole several volume thing that would be impossible. One thing I am pretty bad at is Spider-Man quips, I'm working on it since I've never written a Spider-Man character on FF. The scene I had taken out was Ragna sitting at Fredi's Diner after the events with the demon and Mt. Lady, where MJ walks making an order and the two chat bringing up the Ancala incident. Ragna walks MJ home and thats where he meets her...dad, I'm just gonna leave it at that and you'll see next chapter. It works for either chapter and I filled my eight thousand quota for this chapter. Wanted six thousand but ya know if it works, it works.

I mentioned a character, a new OC villain I made and I'm gonna try and introduce him later but for now this is all ya got (Look through the chapter you'll see what his name is). I still wanna make a rogue gallery of OC villains for Ragna, while also focusing on Canon characters. Some can be joke villains but I don't wanna make one and done OC villains. It's not really my thing. Also introduce demons more here then I did in ADJ since it is still a DMC story. Gonna try and pretty much start the harem next chapter (Or at least get the ball rolling lol). I also have this hole plotline with Aunt Cass and her hatred for heroes and it's honestly really fun with what I have, not gonna spoil but it involves a MHA character.

I think that is it for now for story, I'll get into more later and wait a few days before getting into the next chapter. Was thinking of posting The Marvelous Devil side story that was the SoL like Fluff and Puff, what do you guys think?

Sonic Frontiers final update is here, pretty fun. I love the music of course and it's fun. Thoughts? So Ahsoka ended and I'm gonna binge it soon...Not really excited...which is not a fun thing for one of my favorite franchises of all time. Yo though they're remastering Dark Forces, that's pretty fucken cool. Oh god I hope they remaster Legacy of Kain. PLEASE!

Anyone got any good recommendations for new comics?

I think that is all I have for now, and until then I hope everyone enjoys the new chapter and I can't wait for the next one!

Next Chapter: As Ragna continues his training with Trish, his demonic nature begins to grow, his senses heightened and desires strengthened. As he juggles with this he also tries his best to be the hero he wants to be for Redgrave City, but it's easier said then done. Ragna also faces challenges at home with his school life, and work life with Aunt Cass. Luckily he has his three awesome girlfriends to help him out, and hopefully learn that he can be a hero even without the mask. The adventures of Ragna continue next time in The Marvelous Devil chapter Seven: A Devil's Nature.
