Team JNPR are all sleeping with curtains between each bed for privacy. Everyone is sleeping except for Jaime who is sitting up and looking as his palms in amazement. "My own unique semblance." He hears a voice behind him say. "It'll never happen." Jaune gasps and turns around to see a shadow of himself. "The truth is, you don't deserve to be here." Several thorn like vines take over a scared Jaune. "Don't you agree?"

The next morning the sun shines through the window of Team JNPR's dorm and the birds are chirping. But Jaune is fast asleep. The rest of team JNPR are already dressed in their school uniforms.

Ren Approaches Jaune's bed saying "Jaune, it's time for class." But Jaune is unresponsive. Ren tries again saying "Wake up." Nora peeks over to see what was happening.

"Huh, did he catch a cold or something?"

Pyrrha also peeks over to see what was going on.

Ren looks back over to his childhood friend. "He must be tired from training. But Pyrrha knows there's more going on. She walks over and intertwines his hand with hers. She suddenly gasps and takes a step back.

"His aura is..."

The top half of Jaune's jumpsuit is removed revealing countless markings that resembled thorny vines. Jaune is visibly sweating and groaning as he sleeps.

A door opens and team RWBY, the other members of team JNPR, Professor Ozpin look to see Professor Goodwitch open the door for Shion Zaiden. They walks over and placed a hand on the distressed student.

"It's here. We need to start now."

they sets down what looks to be a suitcase which then opens revealing a bunch of tools and equipment used to hunt the Grim that had possessed Jaune.

"My name is Shion Zaiden, I am a nightmare hunter."

"what's a nightmare?" Weiss asks

"A nightmare is a type of grim that possesses humans by draining their aura. The victim is trapped in their dreams and their body becomes a breeding ground." As they say this Shion forms a giant web resembling the strings of a dream catcher beneath Jaune using DreamCatcher. A blindfold forms around Jaune's eyes

"So we just have to kill this grim." Nora recites.

"yes, inside his dream." Shion confirms.

"Inside his dream?" Ren questions

As the web continues to form around Jaune, Shion provides instructions. "A task for his closest friends. If a stranger tries, his heart will reject them. Are any of you willing? To enter his dream and fight the grim?"

Pyrrha steps forward "Absolutely. We will go."

4 voodoo dolls descend and a the ball tied to the strings wrapped itself around each of their right middle fingers. The rest of team JNPR were is the same state as Jaune with their eyes blindfolded by the strings infused with a mysterious purple dust. The voodoo dolls hang over the head of each student. They now travel into Jaune's dream.

Jaune sits alone in a fetal position. His sword, his shield, and his chest plate levitate behind him each with Pumpkin Pete's face on them.

"For generations men of the Arc clan have become glorious warriors." The shield starts.

"but then you came along. What a disappointment you are Jaune" the sword says coldly.

the body armor laughs "You're an incompetent miserable coward."

they all begin laughing at Jaune as they fade away. Jaune slumps forward resting his head on his arms. "No, I know I can do it. *sniffs* I can do it!"

As he says this the nightmare possessing him appears above the statue of a rabbit. Jaune's appearance now changes to a child with bunny ears and a tail. "Saphron, I'm scared... help me..." Jaune began trembling as these rabbit statues surround him each with a nightmare resting between the ears. Just then he hears Pyrrha call out to him.

"Jaune!"

The child looks up, "Who's there?" Part of the vine opens up revealing Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren.

"We are here to help, Jaune." Pyrrha reassures.

A phone rings in the real world and it is answered by Shion. Next to them is Ozpin.

"Shion here, did you find him? ... good, now you must fight to set him free." They then hang up the phone. "They were able to find Jaune."

"And fast, excellent!"

"They're a good team. They care about each other."

The statues began falling over one by one. Pyrrha hurls Miló into the vine causing it to screech and release Jaune. Jaune gets to his feet now as a teen again. His teammates levitate towards him happily.

"Pyrrha?" He simply asks.

The thorny vine marking on Jaune vanish and the nightmare Grimm attempts to make a run for it. But Shion is quick to respond and traps it in a web before pulling a trigger to electrify it. They then trap it in a jar. "Now it's your turn to be a captive, nightmare. Stay in there and become a seed once more." The nightmare does exactly that.

Blake looks into the jar. "A seed, so it's like a plant?"

She is accompanied by Ruby, Weiss, Yang, Glynda, and Ozpin.

"Usually Grimm will take in the form of beasts. But some Grimm are unique, remember that." Glynda explained as Ruby peeked in the jar.

Jaune gasps "I overslept! OH NO!" His teammates all exchange a quick laugh as Jaune realizes he's on a web. "What's going on?"

Shion places the jar in their case. "I'm glad we caught it before it grew too large. Fortunately, his aura is underdeveloped." "His semblance hasn't awakened yet. That actually worked out in his favor. It's good that he had his friends to help. Glynda adds

Teams RWBY and JNPR crowd around Jaune though Yang is standing with the professors.

"I'm glad you're okay Jaune." Ruby says to Jaune

"Thanks you guys."

"So his weakness was his strength." Yang determines

"You should be aware that I sensed other nightmares in the forest. The more conflict and turmoil within, the more they will pray on you. Please tell all the students to remain diligent."

Team RWBY is now together in a hallway.

"Listen up everyone, if you're feeing down just talk to each other." Yang starts with an upbeat tone.

"You must be joking. I would never let a Grimm possess me like that." Weiss states rolling her eyes.

"I'm sure you'll be fine Weiss." Ruby reassures with a faint blush crossing her cheeks.

"It does seem unlikely." Blake adds

"She has her own way of fending off Grimm." Yang teases. Though Weiss isn't budging

"I'm not sure I see what's so funny. But since we have the day off tomorrow, I thought we'd try going into town. The festival is starting soon."

Ruby gives a confused look. "The Festival."

Weiss just looks back at her *dolt*
