Chapter 6 Beauty Queen
Izzy's POV
Everyone is in Studio A talking and Peter walks over
"hey guys I just wanted to let you know that I have submitted all of your names to The Nationals Board." Peter told us as we all cheered.
Everyone says
"woo!" Everyone wooed.
"Yeah!" Finn said as we all clapped.
I'm really excited once Peter said that he submitted the 12 names to The Nationals Boar, my eyes sparkled like stars.
It's just another step closer to Nationals.
"So that means that there will be no more auditions no substitutions this is the official team going to Nationals." Peter exclaimed as we all cheered and clapped our hands.
Peter says and as a special surprise…actually Finn why don't you take it away?
Finn says all right thanks Peter I'd like to introduce you guys to some of my tapper friends they'll be doing a performance for you guys today
Everyone says whoo! Yeah! Yeah!
Finn's POV
Finn thought it'd be cool to bring them in and show the troupe what they're about
"take it away." Finn said.
The tappers begin to tap dance
Every once in a while everyone kind of brings in a different dance troupe to show off different talents and bring something new to the group.
So this week - tappers.
The tappers tap their way out.
"Thanks you." Finn said.
Stormy's POV
"Hey, Cubby." I exclaimed.
"Oh, hi Stormy." Cubby answered.
"So did you hear that Peter sent in the names for Nationals?" I asked.
"Oh no, that's awesome." Cubby said.
"Yeah! I mean it means that we're going to be going to Nationals together." I told him as we both hugged each other as I began to giggle.
"I'm so exci..." i didn't get to finish as this man came in.
"Start with the blue one Minnow please." The man exclaimed.
"Absolutely Zoltan." The little man said.
"I'm thinking start with this arm and this arm is make sure they match." The other man exclaimed as he points to Cubby.
Once I saw this boy measuring Cubby it was really odd.
"Okay, she's like a caterpillar sir, with your help she can be a butterfly." The man said as he measured me.
"I don't know if she's going to be able to cocoon in this one." The other man explained.
I'm not really sure what it means to be calling a caterpillar but I don't think it's good.
"Who are you?" Jake asked the man.
Jake's POV
"Are you at the mouthpiece of the group?" The man who wanted to know a dumb question.
"Is that what this is about? You are quite cheeky you know." The man exclaimed.
"I know your type, but you're asking the wrong questions. It's not who I am, it's where I am. And where am I Minnow?" The man asked.
"Right now." Minnow wanted to know.
"No tomorrow. Yes right now!" The man told him.
Bart starts to laugh, and then the man calls him out.
"Is something funny over here?" Hey sweat pants is that it?" The man wanted to know as the man walked over to Bart.
"Is something making me laugh? Am I a comedian to you?" The man asked while Minnow measured Bart.
"He's not a comedian." Minnow exclaimed.
"Actually let me guess one of those "Ay Cuamba" types." The man guessed.
"Ay, Cuamba." The minnow said.
"Don't worry kids, today is a good day. Because today is the day that's going to change the rest of your days." The man told us.
Peter's POV
"Okay everyone, I would love to introduce you to Zoltan!" I told them.
I brought in Zoltan and Minnow because they are fabulous and fashion designers and I think it's about time for the Never Dance to have their own tracksuits.
"Zoltan here will be designing uniforms for the Never..." i didn't get to finish as Zoltan walks over.
Zoltan's POV
"Thank you, thanks you! Thank you very much for the spirited introduction. Minnow a little help?" I asked.
"It is Zoltan's time." The minnow said as they put Peter to the side.
"Okay." Peter answered.
"Right. As Peter Pan said, I am Zoltan thank you for your attention please." I told them.
"What you see before you, is my designs." I continued.
"You may think you've seen them, but you haven't not till I tell you what's up" I explained.
"I'm a designer, but even though I'm getting paid this is sort of a charity work for me and it makes me feel good on the inside." I told them.
"So let's take a look at the first design shall we?" I asked.
"Minnow point out what I talk about." I told him.
"I want the uniforms to be so perfect and just scream "The Never Dance." Peter said.
"The top here is a little strawberry hat that I think is indicative of your age group, and because you guys like sweets and ice cream and such and that eww honestly the basis for the entirely of the look." I told them.
"All right this one here is based on bobsledding which is my favourite event in the Winter Olympics." I said.
"I don't watch the Winter Olympics but I do like the fashion and I feel like the bobsled look is very…" I almost finished.
Stormy's POV
"So...what do you think of the new designs?" I asked.
"They're...cool." Cubby responded as he walked away from me.
Stormy's POV
After Cubby walked away from me, I walked over to Cubby again.
"Look how cool the designs are Cubby." I told him as you walked away from me again.
"Yeah, it's find of cool." Cubby exclaimed.
I don't know what's up with Cubby today, he's been acting really weird.
"This part looks large but really it's lot of bubbles wrap, and chicken wire fence. It seems dangerous, and it is.
"And we got this last one here it's bit Minnow deciding the blues how'd you come up with that?" Zoltan asked.
"I looked at the ocean, and said wow good color!" Minnow told him.
"That's right, it's deep like Minnow, like the ocean I don't really have to think that you should choose these ones. You've got a lot of options her. But this one, it is snazzy it fits well, it's hip, it's fresh and it would be easy to dance in.
Finally designed that isn't so crazy.
"Yeah Zoltan, we absolutely love this one it just screams The Never Dance.
"You guys want this simple ones then?" Zoltan asked.
"Yes, please!" We all answered.
"Is that it?" Zoltan wanted to know.
"Right?" Peter said.
"That's fine, I'm proud of myself I'm proud of you guys here you go. Thank you very much." Zoltan thanked us as he handed Peter Pan in envelope.
"And we'll get started as soon as you guys are ready? I appreciate it you guys have a good life." Zoltan exclaimed as he left.
Peter's POV
"Okay, bye!" I said as he left the studio.
After Zoltan has shown us the designs, and handed me an envelope, I opened it and to my surprise it was the bill to the designs and the bill was huge. £78, 325.19.
"Guys it's a free day, so I am going to have to go... Zoltan wait, I have a question about the bill." I yelled at I ran after him.
Misty's POV
"You guys should see the new uniforms, like they're cool." Izzy told Pirate Princess and I as they were actually talking us at the Culture Urban.
"Except some of them are a little weird..." Jake told them.
"One of them had bubble wrap." Izzy explained.
"Yeah, and chicken wires." Jake finished.
"It's nice of you guys to gill us in on what's happening in Troupe A. But I don't know it just feels really weird." I told them.
"Kind of like Jake's hoodie, but better. But I'm sure they have Troupe B ones too." Izzy said.
"Yeah...? Wait what do you mean kind of like my hoodie, but better? Is there something else to know about?" Jake asked his girlfriend.
Jake's POV
After our talk with Pirate Princess and Misty, Izzy and I started to walk over to rehearsal.
Izzy's POV
Everyone in studio, A was just chatting. That's when Peter came walking in.
"Hey, guys, um I know how much we all loved Zoltan's designs, but...unfortunately we just can't afford it." Peter told us.
"What?" We all said shocked.
"Excuse me Peter, but we need uniforms." I said.
"Everyone at Nationals is going to have one, except for us. And we're going to be left out." I reminded him.
"I know, trust me I know. I want them just as bad as you guys do but it's literally impossible. We don't have the money to pay for them. £78, 325.19 is how much the uniforms are.
"Sorry how much do the uniforms cost?" Peter wanted to know.
"£78,000... £325... and 19 pence for uniforms. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Peter screamed so loud the birds flu away.
"What if we do some type of fundraiser, my car wash, or something?" Lisa suggested.
"Yeah!" We all agreed.
"Let's do a car wash!" Cubby shouted.
"Sweet i wonder if Izzy's going to water her bikini." Jake said as all the boys backed away.
"Jake never said that out loud." I told him as I blushed.
"Hey it's a car wash gotta prepare for it." Jake reminded me.
"Um, I mean just soap and buckets in the change room, so I don't you guys grab those no and I'll put the word out about the never dance car wash?" Peter told us.
"Sweet, all right!" We all cheered.
"I'll tell my mom. I don't know about my dad though but he gets drunk when he drives so I don't trust him." Bart said.
"Okay, go tell your mom." Both Owlette and Peter told him as we all ran out Studio A.
Misty's POV
We are now rehearsing in Studio B, as Coralie came in.
"All right my little cherry blossoms finding the floor under your feet...and finding your centre. Right now, we're learning the "routine" that I designed for Troupe B.
Coralie date and following a long free.
Even though I'm not in Troupe A, I still want to develop as a dancer and this is just a waste of time.
"So bored, like what are we doing?" I asked.
"Junebug." Coralie told me.
"Who cares? It's fun!" Pirate Princess said.
"Oh Luke, I guess what I just bought?" Catboy wanted him up guess.
"No, what is it?" Luke asked.
"My dog the cutest little sweeter." Catboy told him as Pirate Princess went to join the conversation.
"Dog sweeter? What kind of dog sweeter?" Pirate Princess asked as I grabbed her arm and started to talk to her.
"What are you doing?" I wanted to know.
"What do you mean?" Pirates Princess asked.
"We are in rehearsal we never talk like this in troupe A." I told her.
Lisa's POV
We are right now outside and having a car wash, just to have a fundraiser for the uniforms for the never dance.
"Thank you, come again!" Izzy told a driver as he drove off.
"We have a team doing advertising and another team cleaning.
"So...the car wash isn't doing that well as I thought the advertising is really uh not going that good. Everyone's just driving by as we are now cleaning Marge Simpson's car.
"Kids your timing is absolut...this car means to be washed so badly, it was so dusty.
Of course mom, would be the one to come just to make us feel better.
"Mom! Okay let us just clean it, why don't you go hang out with Dad?" Bart asked.
"Okay, now listen I don't want to see any streaks on the glass, you got into really put your back into it okay?" Mom told us.
Jake's POV
As Marina counted up the money from the car wash, she started to speak.
"25, 26..." Marina counted.
Right now I am just sitting in the Culture Urban and we're counting the money we made from the car wash and it's very low.
""That's all you guys made at the car wash? £27?" I asked.
"Yeah, that includes a £5 tip from my mom." Bart told me.
"Yeah, I don't think we're getting uniforms anytime soon." I answered.
"So what are we doing now?" Bart wanted to know.
"Honestly, I got nothing." Both Marina and I said at the same time.
Izzy's POV
Everyone is standing in studio A, and Zoltan walk in as he started to speak.
"It's just about categorizing the work and when we're going to start." Zoltan exclaimed.
"Categorizing?" Zoltan's friend questioned.
"I hired you for one of your skills was had to see categorizing." Zoltan said.
"Yeah, I might have lied on my resume." Zoltan's friend told him.
"That's all right I'm impressed actually." Zoltan said.
"Okay." Zoltan's friend exclaimed.
"So where is going to be? Is it time or what?" Zoltan wanted to know.
"I got to get started, Minnow's got a lot of sewing to do." Zoltan said.
I'm kind of nervous about telling Zoltan, and Minnow that we can't afford the uniforms just because I think they were really excited to make them for us but...guess not.
"Zoltan, unfortunately we can't..." Peter said as a Phone started to ring.
Zoltan's POV
"Hold on, what's that? What's ringing?" I asked.
"Ring, ring, your phone." Minnow told me.
"My phone?" I questioned as Minnow placed it against my ear.
"Hello? Yeah, this is Zoltan, yeah." I said.
"I just..." Peter was about to speak.
"Just a minute hold on. What do you...? Gimme that." I said as I took my phone.
"Well what do you mean?" I asked.
"Hold on I don't speak Italian talk slower, please." I exclaimed.
"No, that's going to be a huge problem for me. And I can't deal with that. What do you expect me to do?" I wanted to know.
"Well, if the models don't come, then we won't have a show. And if there's no show, then there's no Zoltan." I said.
"that's the end of the story what do you expect me to do?" I exclaimed I said as I threw my phone as Minnow caught it.
"Actually, give me that." I told him.
"Arrivederci." Minnow said as he threw my phone again.
"Minnow we're in big trouble, what are we going to do?" I asked.
"Excuse me, uh Zoltan Zol- Zol--Zoltan.." a teenage girl called me.
"I'm sorry what's that? Is someone speaking to me?" I wanted to know.
Izzy's POV
"Yes, uh..." I started to speak but froze.
"Speak up." Zoltan told me.
"What just happened?" I wanted to know.
"What was happening on my private phone call over there?" Zoltan wanted to know.
"You want to know what I was talking to? What was going on?" Zoltan said.
"Well obviously, something is wrong and I just..." I was about to finish but Zoltan cut me off.
"Something is wrong, I'm supposed to do a show and my models are stuck at the airport in Milan. I can't do that." Zoltan explained.
"Uh...we're all dancers and I'm sure we would be really good at modeling." I told him.
"As a matter of fact, why don't we exchange? They'll model for you, if you give us free uniforms." Peter exclaimed.
"You lot?" Zoltan said.
"Yeah!" I answered.
"Grandma modeling?" Zoltan wanted to know.
"We're fierce like..." I was going to say something but Finn helped.
"We can model look at this." Finn exclaimed as he and Lisa did a model walk.
"There it is look at this yay!" Everyone exclaimed.
We can do anything we can perform. So, why not modeling?
"We're fast learners." Lisa told him.
"I just couldn't look great for your image Zoltan." Minnow told him.
"All the young kids? You guys think you can do it?" Zoltan asked.
"Yes!" We all said.
"It's a deal, let's do it!" Zoltan said as we all cheered with Jake hugging me and kissing my cheek.
"Lot will model for me, and I'll make these uniforms for free." Zoltan told us.
"Thank you Zoltan!" Peter thanked him.
"You're getting me out of a pickle trust. Thank you very much." Zoltan said.
Pirate Princess's POV
I casually walk into Troupe B rehearsal late, that's when Coralie started to speak.
"A gentle careful balance, and we go to the side and freeze." Coralie told troupe B.
I than sat down next to Misty on the floor.
"Where were you?" Misty asked.
"I was asleep." I answered.
"Hey, boy, I like your cat ears." I complimented.
"Wait, wait..." Misty said.
"I know right?" Catboy exclaimed.
"You were asleep? Did you know we have rehearsal right now?" Misty wanted to know.
"And to the other side freeze!" Coralie said.
Misty, nagging at me all the time lately and it's just getting ridiculous. I need to have a talk with her.
"Misty I need to speak with you now outside." I told her as I got up and dragged her out.
"Misty, girl you need to relax this is Troupe B not troupe A." I reminded her.
"That it might work for you girl, but that doesn't work for me I want to dance." Misty said.
"So what are you going to do? You're going to leave?" I asked.
"Well, no I don't want to leave." Misty said.
"But honestly, something has to be changed." Misty told me.
"So, then you have to make the best of what you have here. It's not that bad." I explained.
Izzy's POV
Right now we are all in the modelling show all dressed up.
"This works great huh?" Peter wanted to know.
"Zoltan has arrived, it's show time!" Minnow told us.
Right now we're getting ready for the fashion show, and Zoltan and Minnow are giving Us in it all crash course on modeling.
"Excuse me." Zoltan said as Cubby moved himself.
"Modelling is not easy and it's not a joke. It's privilege" Zoltan told us as we all started to laugh.
"Even though you're laughing." Zoltan said.
"Who's modelled before anyone?" Zoltan wanted to know.
"I have." Finn answered.
"Well, show me then." Zoltan said.
"All right." Finn exclaimed.
"Sorry." Finn said as he walked through Cubby and Marina.
Finn then started to model and we all started to cheer.
"Stop it! Stop it!" Zoltan said as he stopped.
"This clown's making a fool of himself, you're embarrassing me and you're embarrassing Minnow." Zoltan exclaimed.
"Back over there, I've seen a model walk clear off the end of this stage." Zoltan said.
"I've seen a model walk off the right, and I've seen a model walk off the left. They fell on the audition members they were sued. Do you want to be sued?" Zoltan wanted to know.
"Being a model is very difficult and if you want to show up and sell these clothes, -which is your job- you'll take it seriously." Zoltan exclaimed.
Jake's POV
Right now we are all just waiting for the fashion show to start. Everyone is shutting fixing each other's outfits. The crowd is all here and they're already. And we're ready as well and nervous and excited at the same time.
As we're getting ready, my adrenaline is just pumping.
The fashion show is starting.
"Go, go, go go!" Zoltan said as Marina starts walking down the model run. And then it was Izzy, me Ryan, Finn, then Cubby then Owlette, then Skye, then Izzy...
Audience starts cheering*
Lisa, Owlette, again, Bart again, we are all giving it modeling face. Ryan and Lisa again then Cubby and then me.
Cubby you went again then Lisa then Finn. Well that's when the audience stands up and applauds.
Zoltan's a little bit crazy, but he's a genius. We all then came out on stage. Let me walk out of the final bow it feel amazing. We all started to dance.
"The uniforms are perfect." Lisa said.
"Yo!" Bart exclaimed.
"They look so good." Izzy answered.
"Look at these man." Finn mentioned.
Zoltan did an amazing job obviously, us modelling in his fashion show worked.
"Yes!" Finn agreed.
"Oh, I'm shocked.
"Yo, yo, help me with this help me with this." Finn said as he was pulling the rack with the uniforms on it.
Finn then pulls one of jackets and started to speak.
"Hey guys, guys, guys watch this..." Finn told us as he did his modelling walk.
Right now we are just doing an Troupe A fashion show in our uniforms just to be silly.
