Remus Lupin punched the wall.

He could feel that as of late, especially this summer, his temper had really gotten out of his control, but this time he simply could not help it.

It had all been so close.

The shack he had taken shelter in, escaping from what had to be the worst storm the UK had seen in at least decade, was old and smelled of mold and rot; it was dry enough, however, for the moment. He took a moment to compose himself, flexing his now sore fist, before he turned to face his company- the Auror, Nymphadora Tonks.

Thunder crashed, rattling the windows of the old shack, and the wind blew harshly against the frame of the old structure. Once upon a time, this had been a woodshed for someone. There was still a few split fire logs in the corner and a hatchet propped against the wall. There were old bales of straw, some partially pulled apart around, and a yoke mounted on the wall that suggested this was even older than they'd previously thought before ducking inside. This had been someone's mule shed. There were horse blankets and colt mats in a small loft in the far back, which would help them get warm, Tonks thought, as she took note of her surroundings each time lightening flashed and illuminated the shack.

Remus continued to curse under his breath as another clap of thunder shook the only window to the shed in its frame.

"I had him, this time." Remus said finally, looking up at Tonks, who just stood quietly by, allowing Remus to have his moment.

"I know." She said softly. "I'm so sorry."

"Fucking rain..." Remus breathed, as he reached into his shirt pocket in search of a cigarette, his hand shaking as he tried to pull one from the pack. He found that they were as soaked through as he was from the downpour they'd ran in from. He cursed again and flung them to the ground.

Normally, if they'd had their wands, the rain would be no issue inside. They could dry themselves, and Remus' bad habit both, but the storm had caused them both to become disarmed.

Intel had given the Order information about a meeting of certain Death Eaters in a nearby village, about two miles outside of the forest they were now in. Peter Pettigrew had been among them. Upon the weather setting in, the dark witches and wizards parted different ways, and Remus decided he and Tonks should stick together to try and capture Pettigrew. A strong gust of wind had knocked Tonks into a tree as they'd taken to chasing the rat through the forest, causing her wand to be lost in the downed limbs and leaves. Remus had tackled Peter to the ground and lost his wand as they physically fought, Peter only just getting away and disapperating, as he had not been disarmed and still had his wand.

"Just try to breathe, Remus." Tonks attempted to soothe him, almost stepping toward him, but hesitating and putting her arms back across her chest.

"I had my hands on him." Remus repeated, staring at the floor. He snarled as he spoke, his curled lip exposing his sharper-than-average canine teeth. Tonks swallowed and thought for a moment.

"In the morning, we can go out, find our wands, and then we can regroup from there. We heard enough to have some idea of where he might be staying, we will get him." She tried to reassure him.

"You don't get it." Remus spat. "I had him."

"No, I do." Tonks said, slightly annoyed. This time, she did step forward. She moved her hands as she spoke, gesturing with her words. "I get it. You think its only important to you that Ramona and Sirius have this sorted out?" She scoffed. "Yes, she's your sister; She's my best friend, Remus. My very best friend. And your beloved mate Sirius, he's my cousin, my family. Your nephew? He's to be my Godson. So if anyone in the whole bloody Order gets it, it's me." She shivered as she finished reminding him just who he was speaking to.

"You're cold." Remus remarked, much calmed than he'd been just a moment before.

"I'm soaked to the bone." Tonks shrugged. "Nothing to be done for it now, except maybe those." She gestured to the horse blankets she'd noticed before, then moved past him to try and find them again, stumbling briefly in the dark. There was some light from the window, but shadow covered much of the shed and made it hard to navigate. She felt around and pulled one down, only to be greeted with dozens of fabric moths, which swarmed first toward her, then back to the undisturbed blankets. She squeaked in surprise and started to stumble backwards, until she felt Remus behind her suddenly, catching her before she fell.

Tonks froze at this contact. She was surprised at how warm he felt, even though his clothes were also soaked.

"Thanks." She mumbled, stepping away as quickly as she could, not trusting herself to not snuggle into the heat he provided. "Guess those are a bust."

"Could've told you that," Remus snorted. "I'm surprised there was enough material left to even look like blankets those have been here so long."

"It was w-worth a shot. Plus, look what was behind them!" Tonks held up an old oil lantern, which sloshed as she moved it, indicating there was still fuel inside. "Ramona can light candles without a wand, can you-" Remus cut her off by snapping his fingers, a flame appearing in his hand. "Oh." She said, holding the lantern over for him to light. She sat it down in the middle of the floor to provide them with more light, and she shivered again. "How are you not freezing?" She pondered aloud, looking the wizard over, who stood still and quiet, giving no signs of being uncomfortable at all.

"Human standard temperature is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, or 37 Celsius, right? A werewolf's standard is around 102 Fahrenheit-38.8 Celsius. It's one of the very few perks." Remus replied gently. "Here, take off that over shirt." Remus nodded to her flannel button down shirt which clung to her like a second skin.

"Wha-" Tonks sputtered. "What?"

"I'm going to help you get warm, that's all." Remus replied, his voice once again very soft. Tonks felt her face grow hot despite the cold seeping into her bones. She was not sure if Ramona had ever betrayed her little crush on her friend's older brother, but now was not the time for her body to give her away, though she could feel her heart rate rise. She wasn't sure if an all over more keen sense of hearing was one of the very few lycanthropic perks he'd mentioned previously, or if that was only while transformed, but she hoped it wasn't and certainly wasn't going to ask.

"How?" She ask, shivering again as she watched him slip his own tan dress shirt from his shoulders as the lantern flickered its orange glow on them both. Her eyes couldn't help a small peek of his toned chest and abdomen. She swallowed with a thick 'gulp' again.

"Take off the over shirt. It's holding the cold to you." Remus explained. "You'll actually be warmer with out it."

Tonks stood for a long moment, hesitating. She'd only worn a white tank top beneath the violet flannel shirt, not even bothering with a bra as her outer clothing was so thick. Now, however, without it, she'd be a bit more exposed than was normal before Remus, and it turned her stomach to nervous knots.

"You can trust me." Remus assured her. "It'll help you not catch cold."

Tonks nodded at last and took the flannel off, handing it over a nail sticking out of the wall so it could dry. She shivered even more with her damp flesh exposed, and she knew her nipples were just as cold as she was, and were absolutely showing it, so much she might as well have been completely nude. She wasn't sure what to expect from Remus now, but he simply stepped toward her and turned his back, then held his arms out to his sides.

"Wrap your arms through mine." He instructed. "Steal as much body heat as you like."

It took Tonks a moment to follow his instructions. She had tried in vain to slow her heartbeat back to normal, but another full body shiver told her to give up and allow him to help her. Her eyes once again took in the lean muscles of his back, the light catching on his scars and hurting her heart a bit. At last, She stepped to him, and slowly slid her arms around him in a hug from behind. She allowed herself to snuggle into the pure warmth he was radiating out. She held her arms straight through his, only pressing into his back at first, but Remus gently took her arms and wrapped them around his middle, then he laid his arms over hers.

"Better?" He called over his shoulder. He could feel every bit of her against his skin, her breasts still peaked from the cold- among other things. His sense of smell had betrayed Tonks more than she knew, as he could smell her hormonal change, though not of fear or anger like he was used to smelling on most people these days... Rather this one caught him off guard. It was arousal.

"Mmm." She replied, her cheek rested against his shoulder blade.

"Glad I can help." Remus replied quietly, unsure of what to do, how to even be near her knowing what he now knew. He stiffened as she tightened her hold and softly rubbed her face against his back. One of her arms pulled away from his and her hand lightly grazed his lower abdomen, and Remus felt himself starting to stir as well, so he jumped away from the pink haired witch.

"What are you doing?" He ask, backing up against the wall of the shack, crossing his arms over his chest.

Tonks stood right where she'd been, looking both confused and hurt.

"S-Sorry." She sputtered. "Might have misread that a bit." Her eyes fell to the floor and she bit her lower lip and gave a shuttered sigh, an attempt to cover tears of embarrassment.

"I wouldn't say that." Remus sighed. "Just uh-"

He stared at her a long time.

Tonks, refused to look up, she'd simply backed up to the opposite wall and slid down to be sitting, back against the wall, knees brought to her chest.

"Dora, look at me please." He said finally.

Her eyes snapped up. Large, chocolate brown eyes swimming with emotion she was fighting to hold in.

"What?" She demanded. "I apologized."

"And I said you weren't wrong." Remus replied simply. He shoved his hands into his pockets and tilted his head. "Its just... not a good idea."

"Yep. Gotcha." Tonks snapped back.

"Dora..."

"You know, I never said you could call me that." Tonks growled.

"You never seemed to mind. You just said 'Don't call me Nymphadora', and I don't. Though it is a beautiful name..."

"Fucking stop it." Tonks was on her feet now. "Stop complimenting me, stop talking to me in that smooth Welsh voice... Just fucking shut up." Her voice cracked as she spoke, her teeth gritted. She leaned against the wall behind her, lightly banging her head on the wall a few times in frustration.

"I didn't mean to upset you, you know." Remus sighed. "I apologize."

"Its just cruel." She snorted. "Godric, what I wouldn't give to just get out of here."

Thunder clapped again, shaking the window. The sound of a tree could be heard falling somewhere in the distance.

"Doesn't seem like we are though, so maybe we should talk this out. I mean, like you said earlier... We're going to be around each other a lot- even more when Ramona has the baby." Remus reminded her.

"I think I've made enough of a fool out of myself, thanks." Tonks snorted. "Leave me alone."

"That's the thing, you see..." Remus moved over to her, standing just about a foot away. His face was covered in shadow due to the lantern behind him. "I don't want to. You don't want me to. It is a bad idea..." Remus leaned one arm against the wall, his face inches from hers. Tonks' breath shuttered as her eyes fluttered from his eyes to his lips and back.

"A very bad idea." Tonks nodded, swallowing thickly.

"You're my sister's best friend." Remus said, leaning closer.

"I am." Tonks nodded again.

"I'm a werewolf..." Remus added.

"Yeah..." Tonks breathed just as his lips captured hers. The hand that had been at Remus side was suddenly holding her cheek as he drank her in, feeling her melt into him. She brought her hands up and pressed against his chest, lightly raking the back of her nails up his skin as she trailed her fingertips to his shoulders.

"Dora." Remus said, pulling away. "This is, truly, a very bad idea."

"Agreed." Tonks nodded, still holding his shoulders. "I'm a big fan of bad ideas and horrible choices, though." She said, standing on her toes to kiss him again.

~.~

Tonks used one leg, wrapping her leg around his waist to pull him closer. His erection was obvious through his tan denim trousers, and she ground herself against the bulge in his pants.

"Do you understand the fire you're playing with, little witch?" Remus growled, his voice lower, deeper. He grazed his lips against her neck.

"Oh absolutely not. However, I am always eager to learn, and word on the street is you're one hell of a teacher." Tonks smirked.

Remus gave half a breathy laugh before his lips were back on her neck, trailing up to her ear.

"Tell me if you want to stop, and we will." Remus whispered before pulling at her earlobe with his teeth.

"Unlikely." She sighed, bucking up against him again.

"Mmm." He hummed, his hands ghosting against her arms, to her waist and tugging at the hem of the tank top. Tonks instinctively help her arms up as he slid it up and off, throwing it behind him. He'd seen quite a bit through the thin fabric, but freed and exposed he felt couldn't help but lick his lips. "Mmmph." He groaned, gently palming one of her breasts in his hands. "Fucking look at you."

"I could make them bigger if you'd like..." Tonks said through a gasp as Remus rubbed a calloused thumb over her nipple.

"Please do not." Remus froze. "Don't morph yourself for me. Or anyone. You're perfect..."

"Woah woah woah- don't stop now." Tonks said breathily. "I was just saying..."

Remus took her face in his hand and kissed her again, this time a bit more gently. She took the opportunity to free her hands and tug at the button to his trousers.

"Oh, back to business then?" He joked, helping her undo his clothes.

"No offense, but if you keep teasing me like this and don't just..." Her words caught in her throat as he quickly slid her own jeans to the floor.

"Yes ma'am." Remus smiled, grabbing a quick kiss as he shoved his trousers to the floor.

"Oh. Oh damn." Tonks breathed.

"Something wrong?" Remus ask, genuinely concerned. His eyes fluttered shut as she reached out and took his member in her hands.

"Just uh-" She looked down, bit her lower lip, then looked back up to him, still stroking back and forth. "You're um..."

"Oh." Remus laughed, a little shaken. "Yeah."

"Definitely the biggest I've been with." Tonks complimented.

"When you're ready, I'll start slow." He promised.

"I'm ready..." She nodded, swallowing nervously. "Please."

Remus backed up enough to wrap both her legs around his waist, holding her against the wall. Slowly, he angled himself and inched in, thrusting inside her slightly before giving her a few seconds, pulling back and thrusting back in a bit further. He could feel her body shutter and she moaned with each movement. She'd been so wet and ready for him, he'd nearly gone cross-eyed feeling her around him.

"Remus, please..." She whimpered. "Please."

"As you wish." He sighed back, pulling out and sinking back in as far as she could take him. The sound that escaped her lips let him know it was as purely pleasurable for her as it was for him, and he was determined to see how much more her could make her moan that way.

Each thrust was accompanied by a quick kiss or nibble as he moved, but he could feel his own end approaching. He braced her on his right arm, his stronger arm, and moved his left hand between them, stroking her clit in time with his thrusts. She threw her head back, cursing, chanting his name.

"Rem- I'm... I'm gonna-" She tried to warn him, but her orgasm took the words from her, as she cried out and her inner walls convulsed around him. Feeling his own seconds away, he pulled out of her just in time to cum on her knee.

"S-so sorry." He shuttered, the pleasure still pulsing through his nerves. Tonks snorted. She looked him in the eye, and with one finger, scooped the mess from her leg, then popped her finger in her mouth and sucked it clean.

"Waste not, want not." She smiled. Remus looked at her in amazement.

"Listen, Dora..." Remus panted, pulling his pants back on. He stooped to pick her tank top up and hand it back to her. "That was..."

"It was." She nodded. "I can't believe it's still storming... I honestly didn't hear it there for a while."

"Same..." He sighed, sitting down against the wall. Tonks slid down and leaned against his shoulder. "Dora, we should probably talk-"

"Shhh." She looked up at him. "No. Not tonight, Its all too good for you to ruin with your overthinking right now."

Remus sighed heavily, and wrapped an arm around her as she tucked herself closer.

"Fine then." He agreed at last. "Later."
