It was his retreat from the world at large. A place that he never actually told Sam or Tucker about.
Was it selfish? Maybe. Was it necessary? Probably not. But it was needed.
Danny's lair in the Infinite Realms was a surprisingly well kept secret even amongst his rogue gallery. About the only ones who even knew about its existence were Clockwork, Pandora, and Frostbite.
The first and last of these ghosts were rather hard to hide from with one able to literally see every timeline in existence somehow, and the other holding the Infi-Map. The lone female of the three was really an exception having stumbled upon it by chance one day.
Not even Vlad knew where the thing was located and he only suspected that it existed at all for a few months before dismissing the thing as ridiculous. That man really did not have the best expectations of Danny, nor his resourcefulness.
As for how nobody had discovered its existence yet? The halfa had ironically hidden it in the absolute last place anybody would have expected it… directly under Pariah's Keep.
A tiny bit of modification to the underside of the floating landmass and the white haired halfa managed to hide his door in a little cave. Combine the fact that he used a natural illusion to hide this and the rather distressing history making other's weary of even going near the keep?
Yeah he got incredibly lucky without even knowing it and even after the whole fight with Pariah himself didn't move it.
Thus when the world, life, or even his general existence got a bit too much for the poor teen he had a place to retreat too for a while. The small house, similar to Fenton Works but a bit more normal looking, would then serve as a good place to either study or just plain relax.
He even used the lair as a storage vault for a few things that he thought was better off forgotten about, or best kept out of other people's hands. More than one Fenton Invention ended up finding its way there when he deemed it more dangerous than worth destroying.
After a while he even started to stash a few ghostly artifacts that had either made their way to his world or he had stumbled upon by accident.
While mostly inane things such as a lighter that could take and restore any light around when activated, or some sort of weird ribbon that could regenerate itself when damaged. Others were a bit weirder such as a signal glove that gave comfort, or a scarf that only seemed to buzz when around bees for some reason.
Then there were the things that not even the halfa knew how he managed to stumble upon them, only that he somehow did. Such as the random box that would restock itself when closed and reopened filled with items such as lizard tails, wings, various elixirs, random talismans, and who knows what else.
That one he was still confused upon but had taken to using its contents to mess with his enemies when they got too annoying. The contents gave various changes to whenever consumed and/or used them but were only temporary, lasting up to one day at most.
Then there were the few things that he found just plain annoying or embarrassing to deal with and tossed inside his lair to be forgotten about.
A Nerf-Gun that seemed to devolve things, a Nintendo-Pistol that could seemingly only kill people on TV, and a conch shell that sent him to the nearest ocean. Thankfully he could reverse the effects of these items but for the most part he tossed them into a random box and stuffed them in a random room to be forgotten about.
And then Danielle Phantom/Fenton came into being because a certain Fruitloop couldn't get a clue.
Yeah, Danny himself was irritated a little by that but fortunately managed to direct his anger onto Vlad. Don't get him wrong, he likes his new sister, but he didn't exactly like the fact that someone had tried to clone him then toss aside said clone because she wasn't what they wanted.
Sure the younger female had some stability issues but beyond that she was perfectly fine and snarky just like her twin. Oh sure there was an age discrepancy with her being about eleven or so at first and him at 15 but they were still technically twins.
When it came to his lair however is where things got a little tricky though.
Apparently their ectoplasm was incredibly similar, enough that Dani was able to piggyback off of his to somehow find his lair one day. She just moved in like it was the most natural thing in the world and he never even noticed until having to retreat one day.
Small bout of confusion later and the two managed to eventually calm down enough to sort things out. Thus the hidden residence became a place where the two would either leave messages to each other or occasionally meet up.
It was therefore not that much of a surprise when the younger halfa ended up stumbling upon the stuff inside and asking questions. She then quickly became a little gremlin causing chaos all over the place by using the various artifacts and/or weapons.
In between this however Dani tended to either collect some artifacts of her own or spend some time searching and organizing her older twin's stuff.
Things… kinda eventually came to head one day when Danny had an especially trying week dealing with ghosts, his parents, and Vlad. Running on barely any sleep, getting disturbed by the growing graphic detailed things the elder Fentons wanted to do to his alter ego, and then having the eldest halfa decide to throw a hissyfit before trying to beat the crap out of him for some imagined slight.
Yeah the teenager was not in the mood for this and was wondering why he was even staying in Amity anyways. At the very least he should probably take a vacation before he decides to do something he would regret.
Thus it was a tired halfa that half limped into his lair and promptly collapsed into one of the chairs in his living room. He could absently hear the clinking of plates in the kitchen signaling that Dani was probably here so that was a plus.
"Hey Danny, I think that I found some more artifacts but- what happened?"
There she was walking out of the kitchen in human form, instantly changing her focus upon noticing his state.
Wearily opening his eyes the white haired teen let out a pitiful groan before attempting to relax further into the chair.
"Just… a long painful week protecting Amity again."
With a long suffering sigh the younger of the duo went and grabbed the medkit hanging on the wall. Apparently the halfa had at one point put multiple of them all around his lair as a precaution, one that was unfortunately needed more than not.
Ever since the incident with Freakshow and the Reality Gauntlet the teen had practically moved into his lair, not that anyone seemed to have noticed. The reason, call it a side effect of being a ghost, at some point he started to be able to pick up on people's general feelings.
While not up to others, Spectra, level he could still pick up on what the person was feeling at a base level and gauge their future responses based upon that. He thought some of this power might have come into being from contact with Clockwork on some level but wasn't quite sure.
At the same time Danny knew he wouldn't be able to get the time ghost to reveal anything so he didn't bother wasting any breath asking.
Back when the whole Reality Trip was over with and during the family hug he had gotten the feeling that while his parents seemingly accepted him, they actually didn't.
It wasn't that hard to figure out that they might try to cure him and considering how obsessive they were they would ignore his protests. That was more than enough to finally cause the halfa to acknowledge that he would never truly be safe at Fenton Works ever again.
The biggest question really was how he managed to keep the fact he practically moved out of the place from his friends and sister.
Not that he really minded but as things just kept moving along he found himself slowly growing apart from them as well. It wasn't actually obvious unless you knew what to look for but once again being half ghost might as well have been putting up a giant glowing billboard.
Ever since the first encounter with Desiree and Tuck he found himself slightly less enthused with his oldest friend. Oh sure they were still great friends but that incident had really strained their bond in a way that almost everyone would be unable to detect.
As for Jazz, well… that rift kind of started a while ago really and while learning about his secret had brought them closer initially it didn't last that long. His elder sister really didn't get there were things that, thanks to his unique biology, while seemingly problems with humans were natural with ghosts.
She kept trying to approach everything with human methods to ghost problems and while it somewhat worked at first things quietly fell apart elsewhere. It also didn't help that there was a conflict of interest there as the two of them were related and there was a reason that various laws prevented such things from happening in the real world.
Coincidently the fact that she could do this in some capacity also revealed that the two of them weren't that close despite such appearances.
Finally there was Sam, now that was a whole can of worms to deal with. It really didn't help that she was the one who edged him into going into the portal that gave him his powers in the first place.
While he could have overlooked it eventually there were other, smaller, things that slowly built up over time. It also didn't help that even before the accident he knew that life would eventually take them separate ways eventually, him into Outer Space while she stayed on Earth.
His dream may have been ruined by the portal incident and while he might have, reluctantly, admitted to having feelings at one point things had changed over time. Two years after the incident and now a Sophomore moving onto Junior soon enough and things had changed.
He doubted that anyone would actually notice since they weren't exactly popular but he could detect the incredible subtle strain that everyone else was oblivious to.
Going back to Dani she was just getting done with the last of the wounds with her genetic template. This wasn't the first time she had to patch him up and thankfully he did the same to her the few times she needed it.
"At this rate why are you even staying in Amity?"
The 11 going on 12 year old let out a sigh as she finally finished bandaging the last of the burns for the time being. Apparently the older of the two heard her though and wearily cracked open one eye that had closed sometime during his whirling thoughts.
"Maybe at first it was a sense of obligation but now… I'm honestly starting to wonder about that as well."
Trailing off Danny didn't exactly like his thoughts as he saw them similar to that of Dan of all things. It also didn't help that his obsession as a ghost was protecting people so these thoughts weren't exactly helpful either.
The female of the group simply hummed as she closed up the medkit, all while taking note of what had to be restocked. While obviously not the same situation as her genetic template the female halfa understood how this was affecting him.
Vlad came to mind but just as quickly she banished him knowing that the man wasn't one worth looking towards. Honestly she was more likely to go towards her sibling here for advice and had done so occasionally.
There was also the fact that she herself hadn't been feeling too well lately and wasn't sure what was going on. Maybe the middle halfa knew of a good doctor or something that he could take her to that could help?
"You said you found another artifact or something?"
Glancing up she saw the raised eyebrow of Danny before drawing a blank on what he was talking about. A few seconds later she ended up blinking as the memory managed to finally catch up to her.
"Um yeah, nothing too big, one appears to be a set of… items that belong together and don't really do anything beyond changing appearance when pushing ectoplasm in them. The other was a cup of some sort that I didn't see anything special about but did appear to cause the liquid it was in to sparkle, that quickly ceased when I took it out so…
"I put them in the unidentified room for the time being but did take a shower due to being covered in gunk. The box I put them in should have some writing on them but I don't actually remember due to being irritated when I first got back."
Humming for a second the female halfa looked at her cousin before shrugging and quickly retreating into the kitchen. The male in turn listened as she apparently rustled around before pouring something into a cup.
Soon after Dani returned and held out a simple cup of water for him to take. A small smile of thanks was directed to her in turn before he took it and gulped it down in one setting.
The girl giggled slightly at this before taking it back towards the kitchen and Danny couldn't help but be grateful. Odd origins aside the two of them were getting along great, besides the occasional sibling-like spat, and the younger halfa was even starting to develop her own interests independent of his own.
Oh sure it wasn't exactly much right now but the girl had taken a tentative liking towards more of the cutesy anime and art. Something he subtly encouraged as it was a thing that the younger one could actually call her own.
Say what you will about Jazz but the oldest Fenton child was good at psychology and he ended up picking some of it up as well. This was great help in ensuring her own worth as an actual person and not some failed experiment.
Honestly the only odd thing about this situation that still existed was that technically they were twins from a genetic standpoint. The only reason that Dani was younger than him was probably due to a fault in the cloning process, probably the same fault was the reason she was also female and more stable than her other batchmates.
Though somewhere deep in his mind Danny couldn't but wonder, what would it be like if the two of them were actually twins?
It was this thought that echoed around in his head as the older halfa finally started to drift off into slumber. His genetic twin in turn simply rolled her eyes and beyond tossing a blanket over him left him alone as she went to do her own thing.
Somewhere else however a blue ghost with a clock in his chest raised an eyebrow at this event.
"Well now, this is probably going to be both awkward and interesting then."
-|:-:|- Six Hours Later -|:-:|-
"WHAT IN THE NAME OF PARIAH?!"
"... oops?"
Clockwork just let out an amused chuckle at the scene unfolding on one of his screens. He probably should have stepped in when Dani accidentally spilled the contents of her bag on the chair.
Or maybe when she accidentally ended up mixing the artifacts with her own stuff?
Oh well, things already were happening and he was not actually obligated to intervene unless things only took a different turn than expected. Now he could either let things play out a bit more or set things up to gain a little bit more entertainment later on.
Decisions, decisions, so much to do and seemingly so little time to do them despite having literally all the time in existence.
-|:-:|- Scene Shift -|:-:|-
About one of the only good things Danny could find with this situation was the fact that his clothing changed size with him. Other than that he wasn't exactly happy with the changes that the artifacts that Dani had found caused.
He had made sure to state that he saw it as an actual accident and made sure that his twin knew it wasn't her fault. Now that they were at the Far Frozen where his doctors were checking the both of them over just in case.
On that note they were actually twins now, turns out the cup Dani gave him was actually a Ghostly Artifact that somehow de-aged him to roughly her age. While unexpected he probably could have dealt with it but that was where the other artifact apparently came into play.
It just so happened to be that the other artifact, a pair of them actually, was hidden in the chair he had been sitting in. Apparently he hadn't noticed them as they had been accidentally shoved into a crack between the cushion and chair itself.
It also explained why Dani didn't exactly say come out and say what they were at first.
Unfortunately due to the combination of having nearly identical ecto-signatures and the sudden age shift the other artifact activated. This caused them to apparently latch onto and somehow impose a change over his body to turn it into a girl.
Even worse, the change somehow managed to propagate over to her human form meaning that nothing she had been wearing fit anymore. That was awkward enough as it was seeing as how Danny had to borrow some of her twins clothing for the time being as well.
Thankfully the born girl had just washed and taken care of everything so that was better than anything else.
As for the artifact that was causing this mess, normally one one would think that taking them off would reverse the change. This would possibly be true if it hadn't disappeared somewhere between the age shift and gender reassignment.
So a trip to the Far Frozen had been required with the cup like artifact brought along for additional testing.
Then, once informed where the now younger halfa was going Dani had to add to the inevitable panic attack by asking to come for a checkup as well. Something about how she hadn't been feeling that well lately and wanted to know if it was related to her stability issues.
Which, fair, they probably should have come earlier cause while the less experienced halfa wasn't nearly as melty as before it was still a bit of a concern.
Thus here they were Danny sitting down on the medical table with a resigned face and waiting for her twins examination to be over with. Thankfully her own examination wasn't exactly that long but apparently Frostbite was waiting for the other Phantom to be finished before going over their results.
On the bright side the Far Frozen was quite a bit more advanced than Earth, so said examinations weren't as time consuming.
"Danny!"
Quickly Dani flew over to her and proceeded to wrap her twin in a hug before plopping down practically in her lap. In turn the older halfa resigned herself with a fond roll of the eyes and a small smile before returning it with an one armed version.
A brief chuckle however broke the two out of whatever moment there was and two sets of green eyes snapped towards a yeti holding a clipboard. It was obvious that they were amused but despite this the youngest halfa didn't bother moving herself from her siblings lap.
"While it is nice to see the two of you getting along I assume that you would want to hear the results of our examination?"
Danny quickly adopted a more serious air about her and while her twin didn't bother to let go it was also apparent that she was also serious. Seeing this Frostbite didn't bother to beat around the bush even as he looked back down at his clipboard.
"Right, to get onto the most serious parts first the examination of Danielle Phantom has revealed that she is destabilizing. Thankfully it is rather slow right now and she would probably last another seven months or so without intervention.
"Unfortunately the closer to the end she got the faster the destabilizing process would progress."
Dani quietly increased the pressure of her hug in fright even as her twin tensed slightly in worry. Seeing and feeling the increased worry emanating out of them though the yeti ghost gave both halfa's a gentle smile and continued.
"Don't worry, the fact that both of you arrived here this soon means that we can thankfully stabilize her with a transfusion of your Core Plasma, Great One."
Both of them relaxed slightly at this admission even as the one female with a ponytail spoke up.
"Err… would there be any side effects since, you know?"
Raising an eyebrow at the question the leader of the Far Frozen let out a brief hum before speaking.
"At the very least you would have probably become closer to actual twins with Ellie here rapidly aging up over the next few weeks to about equal age to the Great One. Probably making you a bit more in sync as well like any natural twins would be but that would probably be it for any changes."
Dani pouted but was at the very least a lot more relaxed upon hearing this even if it would have been a bit strange to suddenly change like that. Danny on the other hand couldn't help but hear the unwelcomed complications incoming and slumped slightly.
Frostbite saw this and glanced back over his clipboard for a moment before continuing.
"That however leads into the uh, metamorphosis that the Great One here has undergone.
"Going for the simple thing first, the Ghostly Artifact you brought in for analysis has properties that any liquid inside it, when consumed, results in a normally temporary age reduction. It appears to last no more than a day but the age reversion seems to cover everything from physical age to even a bit of mental age.
"Though thankfully it left you with your life experience but expect to act a bit more like the child you currently are. Coincidentally Great One you are actually the older twin by at least six minutes if the examination is any indication."
Alright now the slightly older female was pouting slightly alongside her twin, though that did explain why she was having a harder time being serious. Her twin on the other hand just didn't like the fact that she was still the youngest of them but was resigned to this fact.
Frostbite couldn't help but find himself amused by this as it appeared that both siblings were already starting to act like twins. That being said he didn't let said amusement distract him from continuing on with his explanation.
"Unfortunately however we now come to the second artifact that appears to be affecting you and the impact it will have going forward."
Both halfas snapped out of their pouting and gave the leader of the Far Frozen their undivided attention.
"It appears that said artifact is, like you rightfully assumed, responsible for the other change you have undergone Great One.
"While it did trigger when you were changing age and latched onto you, the reverse-aging process created a unique power interaction between the two. As it stands the artifact in question has in a way started stabilizing the first's effects and in about a week or so you will actually be as old as you appear.
"Unfortunately when that happens the odds of you being able to return to your older age will no longer exist and you will have to grow up all over again from this age onwards."
Danny blinked for a moment before hanging her head in tired defeat at this admission. Now came the news that she was dreading as well.
"As for removing the artifact from your person to prevent this?
"That Great One is unfortunately not going to happen any time soon. Apparently it wasn't exactly ready for your continued change and while trying to adapt its physical form broke apart into energy that is now circulating throughout your body.
"While you could, theoretically, force it to manifest once again the artifact in question would require the help of your twin here to remove. To do this you would not only need to isolate every trace of it throughout your body but also hold it long enough for her power to properly saturate it enough to remove properly.
"Not only would this require you to hold it but also have to deal with her ectoplasm at the same time potentially disrupting your own control. Something that, despite being essentially twins with nearly identical signatures, is hard enough with the amount of focus needed to do it in the first place.
"That's not even taking into account how dangerous it is to attempt in her state, let alone the recovery time both of you would have to take after the transfusion.
"As it stands you would be better off waiting the four years for it to naturally settle down and return to a physical state. Let alone the fact that the effect would still linger on for a few more years before you could finally return back to normal."
At this Danny felt her head slump forward enough out of resignation that it came into contact with her twin's shoulder. Dani seemed equal parts amused and freaked out over this.
Then the younger halfa raised a hand up as if to ask a question, only to be beaten to it by Frostbite anticipating it.
"The artifact registered your ectoplasm first but only reacted to the Great One's due to how similar it is towards yours. Unfortunately your twin only has enough similarity to activate and sustain the effect, not exactly enough to control the items in question resulting in this mess."
Question answered the ponytail halfa dropped her hand back over the back of her twin and slowly patted it. At least until she suddenly sat up and obviously did her best to ignore everything else for the time being.
"Right, anything complicating this or can we get this Core Transfusion over with today? Oh, and will there be anything we have to take afterwards?"
Dani seemed to blink for a moment before realizing that this was probably a good idea. Her twin was always one to get down to business it seemed, in spite of any potential trauma involved.
Frostbite himself blinked for a few seconds before shrugging and waving towards one of his subordinates. This was apparently some sort of signal as they left the room to assumedly prepare the transfusion process.
That being said however the yeti turned back towards the two of them and proceeded to speak.
"There shouldn't be any complications really going forwards and no need for additional medicine afterwards. As for side effects, you, Great One will probably be weakened for a while afterwards, no more than a month or so.
"You on the other hand, Ms. Phantom will probably have some minor power surges going forward for the next two weeks. Afterwards however you might find yourself developing somewhat similar abilities like your twin.
"Then hm… I would not recommend either of you using your powers beyond the absolute basics, intangibility, invisibility, and flight for the next three or four days. During that time don't be surprised if you start developing more twin-like responses such as finishing each other's sentences or anticipating the other's response before even knowing what you're doing."
All Danny did in response to this was raise an eyebrow before gently nudging her twin. Said twin let out a sigh in response before reluctantly floating off her lap.
That being said it was quite obvious that they were getting ready for the transfusion itself.
-|:-:|- Scene Shift -|:-:|-
From within his lair Clockwork looked over the various items that he had assembled.
They weren't actually necessary for anything going forwards but the time ghost felt like gathering them. For the most part they really served the purpose of seeing if he wanted to mess with his twin charges.
Well, more like signal charge but at this rate Daniel Fenton/Phantom was going to practically be joined at the hip with her new twin. Best to make sure to automatically include Danielle into that picture moving forwards just in case.
Though if things go like he thought they were then one of the twins were probably going to end up choosing a new name. What that will be he wasn't sure yet as there were still too many paths going forwards to accurately predict it.
Most likely the clone would but there were a few where the original ended up reluctantly changing it as well. Not enough to know for sure but just enough to ensure that it was a fair possibility moving forwards.
Letting out a hum, Clockwork let his hand hover over the table he had set up while contemplating his options. Powers working to show possibilities, both good and bad, to the potential future going forwards.
Obviously nothing too traumatizing, these were two pre-teen girls he was dealing with and that would be a step too far. Then again he couldn't choose something too easy and/or child friendly seeing as how one of these twins was a battle hardened warrior.
It also didn't help that the being halfa's meant that the two were bound to need some outlet for stress. Trying to conform in a place without fighting wasn't probably going to work and resulted in traumatizing the locals as a result of being part of the Infinite Realms.
Still, so many options moving forwards and so many equally fascinating options.
Instantly one thing caught the Master of Time's eye more intently causing him to let out an amused chuckle.
"Ah yes, that will do nicely."
Reaching down towards the table the red eyed ghost suddenly paused in what he was doing and looked up.
"Do you mind? I would like to get this show on the road without anyone knowing."
-|:-:|- Err… Scene Shift -|:-:|-
Letting out a small groan Danny absently rubbed her chest where the location of the IV had just been. Having part of her core drained for a transfusion felt incredibly weird and tiring just as Frostbite had warned her.
Nearby Dani was absently doing the same but noting that she felt bloated in some way she couldn't describe. At the same time the weird feeling of pain she had been unaware of feeling was slowly fading away.
That being said the twin's were definitely feeling the changes that came from the medical intervention.
"So… I doubt you have any clue about dealing with Amity going forwards?"
Glancing over to her ponytailed hairstyle twin the resigned girl had to wonder what she was going to do. It's not like she could just up and leave the town unprotected let alone ditch her friends and family.
The twin in question flipped over from where she was slowly flying to look at her counterpart before speaking.
"Nope!"
Popping the P, Dani couldn't help but chuckle at the tired sigh from her sibling before adopting a more serious expression.
"In all honesty sis, you yourself admitted that staying there was slowly starting to appear unappealing. While yes, I understand that you don't exactly like it, it's not like you're able to return without who knows how many problems popping up is unlikely.
"Not only are you weakened significantly for the next month but the odds of you being able to hide this from anyone is simply impossible. Combined that with the GiW starting to become a much more serious threat and the odds of you ending up in their… tender care is all too likely, let alone Jack and Maddie, or even Vlad?
"Besides, didn't you say that Clockwork, the Master of Time, was basically your ghostly equivalent of a guardian? Worst comes to worst he could help sort this out after the fact with nobody the wiser!"
The more experienced twin tried to say something, came up with nothing, before reluctantly nodding. Internally the younger halfa fist pumped at this knowing that she was going to win this argument.
"Exactly! So just treat this as some form of extended vacation.
"No ghost attacks, no being hunted down, no interrupted sleep, what else could you ask for?"
Once more Danny found herself nodding along and surprisingly perking up just a little bit. That being said she was still unsure going forwards about what to do.
The semi-natural girl however gave a lopsided grin in response to this already noting how she could practically feel the twin phenomenon forming. Not that she actually could but something about helping her twin perk up just felt right, like they were actual twins and not an original boy turned younger girl and natural female yet failed clone.
That being said at this point the two were just drifting along with no real destination in mind. While potentially dangerous there wasn't that much going on around them as they entered a particularly desolated part of the Infinite Realms.
"So… with that in mind, why don't you join me on my travels? Sure it's not the most glamorous of things but it does have the benefit of keeping us off of most radars.
"Heck, I've even found a way to gather ectoplasm without having to return here so even that won't be a problem for us."
Again the more experienced halfa found herself coming up short with any disagreement. Thus she let out a tired sigh and spoke.
"Fine, you got me. Let's just return to our lair and ge- PORTAL!"
Instantly shouting, Danny tried to warn her twin about the natural portal forming in front of them. Unfortunately while Dani did hear her and managed to flip around the two had gathered too much momentum to stop.
Thus without thinking the younger sibling let out an "Eep!" and attempted to reach out towards her twin for support. Said twin managed to successfully grab onto her hand but at this point it was much too late.
Both of them essentially tumbled into the portal with a brief shout that echoed around them. A split second later said portal closed behind them leaving nothing behind but the natural expanse of the Infinite Realms.
Watching from afar Clockwork let out an amused chuckle knowing that his charges were in for an amusing adventure.
"All is as it should be, now… where did I leave the popcorn?"
Danny & Dani: WHAT DID YOU DO?!
Miota: I'm not getting in the way of that.
crai22: Traitor!
Danny: Don't think of running away now spill, what did you do?
crai22: Don't hurt me! I just got hooked on the whole Danny, Dani siblings thing and this sort of came out over the course of a weekend.
Dani: That can't be all there is.
crai22: Sue me I'm trying my best to, you know, be creative. TUE, obsessive parents not being able to set aside their prejudice, or betrayal are the common ways that people get you to leave Amity Park Danny.
Danny: There are a few portal fics as well you know?
crai22: Yeah, I know. But exactly how many do you know involve this series of events?
Dani: That... is as far as I know a good point.
Miota: Maybe but why exactly did you leave it open without any obvious crossover components?
crai22: What, you mean it isn't obvious? By leaving this so open ended it creates a perfect opportunity to hook on who knows how many crossovers without railroading others.
Miota: That much you mean?
crai22: Yeah, pretty much. I mean, how often do you read a fanfic where Danny and Dani are twin females who hadn't even entered puberty yet?
Dani: Oh! That is going to be fun.
Danny: Crap. crai22 own's nothing but the plot people, now if you excuse me I'm out of here!
Miota: Hey! The disclaimer is my stich you rotten halfa!
Dani: Why do I sense that there's something else to this?
crai22: Because you somehow managed to figure out that this... shoot I forgot where I was going.
Dani: Ah, sorry, not, Now if you excuse me I have a sibling to torment!
crai22: ...and there she goes. I should point out that I do remember and that this came about from some weird half/dream state I had a while ago.
crai22: Danny was a girl and roughly the same physical age as Dani due to some accident and traveling with her to just get away from Amity. They both were swimming in a nearby river when something caught their attention drawing them both towards a Nuclear Reactor in the midst of a meltdown.
crai22: The Justice League were there as well but not having much luck stopping it before both halfas swept in and helped cool it down with ice powers or something. I don't know at this point but they helped at the cost of exhausting themselves and the League curious tracked them down to their camp.
crai22: Then things just went black on me leaving behind some vague noise and the impression of images featuring both twins slowly changing back to human. I think it was some sort of radiation poisoning that kept them in their ghost form for safety and the slow change back to human was some sort of safety instinct.
crai22: Yeah I lost it at this point and the last thing I kind of saw was one of the twins sitting in a cafeteria still mostly in ghost form but wearing a one piece with boots and gloves but still vaguely in their ghostly uniform as well.
crai22: Err... sorry for the run on but I just wanted to say what caused this mess to begin with.
Dani, Danny, Miota: (Vague screams of rage, fear, and deranged laughter)
crai22: Now please excuse me, I have a trio of idiots to sort out before they destroy something important.
