This was a fun chapter, short but I needed it to help me set the tone.

Danzo knew compassion was a weapon, one that he barely understood himself but had seem work through people for decades. Seeing Mika use that very power, that simple energy, against everyone and gain control of Sasuke... well it was brilliant. He had never expected the boy to flourish, not on the level he had. It was unexpected and powerful, brilliant to see. His words, while simple, were poignant and potent. They molded the views of those around them. All Danzo had really done was open the Judge, the foolish Shikaku, to the ideas presented to him.

Binding Sasuke to Mika was actually something with precedent. It had happened with a few other traitors over the years, the defender would be bound to them to keep an eye on them, to create a sense of loyalty and love. He had seen it work quite a well over the decades of his long life. It was an easy thing to push for. With that in mind, he happily pushed the energy in Shikaku's mind so he would sway to giving Mika that control over Sasuke. His showing with Hinata, Neji and The potential with Yakumo... only helped that.

Hell, Danzo had seen such potential that he had put a genjutsu on Unkai Kurama, to give Mika the chance to bring in even more power. That it was so successful was... well it was perfect. Shaping the boy into a far more potent leader among his peers.

With that in mind, Danzo walked over to where Mika was standing by, waiting for Sasuke to be explained the rules of his probation. "You did well."

Mika nodded, not at all surprised by his presence. "Did you force that?"

"Yes, I did. Do not undervalue your actions, Sasuke will be a powerful ally. If you help him, it will only serve you when you become my full heir."

"I understand." Mika sighed. "I am not blind to the potential of Sasuke, he will be useful for me. Same with Yakumo, which I figure you arranged for."

"I did... now go, you will have a lot to work on."

:::

Danzo hurried away, and Mika turned to Sasuke as he left. "So, do you know the rules?"

Sasuke, with a rare look of appreciation, nodded. "I have to work for you as if you are my jonin sensei only far more. You control my money, my training, and so on... and you can execute me on the spot... so what now?"

Mika smirked. "I meant what I said, you are going to kill Itachi." Sasuke's smirk brought Mika joy. "I want to find you a secondary teacher... Hinata has Hana, I am trying to give Yakumo to Anko... you need someone to actually train you unlike your idiot old sensei. Hmm... not really sure who. I did some research on your brother once, right after you left actually, when we captured you. I have access to Bingo books, so I was curious. A master of basically all of it, but especially Genjutsu. I can arrange for the Kurama's to teach you genjutsu resistance, but you need actual training over all... hmmm... No Kakashi, but maybe... well, you could be passed around, train with a different sensei for a time until we find you a good mentor. Pity you cannot go into ANBU, I think you'd excel..."

Sasuke nodded. "Thank you, for helping me. I know you dislike me, but I do appreciate it."

"I meant what I said, you deserved better. You really did... now... come on, let's go the library, it's what got me so strong, it can only help you do the same. When that works out, we will work on getting you hooked up through the Kurama...Kurama..." Mika cackled. "Sasuke, wanna revive your clan and make them uber strong?"

Sasuke nodded. "Duh?"

"What do you think of a marriage agreement?"

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
