I haven't go shopping for a long time . However I have to still visit my grandma with Jason walker . My grandma really likes him so bringing him will be no problem . I sit beside the door and he sits opposite of me
"My grandma talked about you often." I say
"How often that is ?" Jason seems surprised
"Every day, she likes you and knows that you are a good boy." I lower my head . "However she doesn't understand me ."
Yes she doesn't understand why I put a burden between me and Jason.
"How does she not understand you?" Jason raises his eyebrows
"She doesn't think that I need to put a burden between me and my initiates but she doesn't understand how dangerous I am if someone approaches me ." I sigh. "I want to find someone who I love and also love me but it is impossible here ."
"How is that impossible . Don't you think that you under estimate my strength Delia?" Jason asks me
I don't know how to answer the question. I just know that now it is at the erudite headquarter so the hospital is just a few more minute walk
"We are here ." I point at the far away building. "Let's jump now ."
I start to jump and the speed let me stumble a few feet forward to gain my balance . Jason helps me up and I walk with him side by side toward the hospital.
"How old is your grandma ." Jason says
"Around 80." I shrug
"I never get to see my grandma Delia . Even for a time ." Jason blinks his eyes at me .
We walk into hospital and I press the up button at the elevator
"Do you think that is good thing or bad one ." I play at my own cuticles.
"I don't think there is an answer toward that." Jason laughs
"Well I think that is good . Less attachment means less harm or sadness ." I roll my eyes . "That is what we believed in dauntless."
The elevator finally comes and we walk in and press the button 3. I rest on the wall and the door slowly is closing.
"Is there any funeral in dauntless?" Jason asks
"Not really but I hope there will be for my grandma because she is one of the leader." I rub my own neck .
I am nervous because I suspect that Alexander really cared about my grandma or was just using her
"You are nervous about something Delia."
"How do you know?"
"It is always that way of you when you feel nervous."
We walk out of the elevator after the elevator comes to a ding sound . Grandma is under breathing machine but she can talk quietly. We have to lean on her to listen.
Right now she can sit up for a bit but still not too good
"Good evening grandma ." I sit down beside her chair . "See who is visiting today."
Grandma tilts her head and sees Jason walker
"Good evening ms . How are you doing." Jason smiles at her
"You can call me grandma too Jason. I heard a lot about you." Grandma smiles. "Or Lori too."
"Thank you grandma ." Jason sits down as well
I grab grandma's hand . Her hand is cold .
"Are you cold grandma?" I am worried
"I am all the way fine . You look pale and tired ." Grandma touches my face. "Did you just attended a wedding?"
"Yeah Alexander married with Jessica. He for sure loves her so much just because that he was jealous that separate them for too long." I roll my eyes
Grandma laughs so loud . But then she starts coughing. The blood comes from her mouth.
"Doctor!" I scream for help
Jason pushes the button for the emergency. I am scared now . Even I am dauntless, then I am still afraid of losing my only family.
"Yes we are here ." The doctors rushed into the room
"My grandma is coughing out blood ." I cry
"Calm down, go out now and we will deal with it." Doctor looks at me.
Jason drags me out of the room. I sit on the chair . I am still wearing dress and he takes off his shirt and wraps around me
"She will be fine ." Jason holds me into his arms . "I am sure of it."
"She is my only family now . I have no one ." I grab his shirt. "Thank you Jason."
"I will be your family at least your brother . If you allow me to go further than that, I am willing too." Jason leans into me and kisses my forehead
Someone is coming and I can hear their footstep.
"Are you alright?" Alexander and Jessica come together .
"My grand ma is coughing blood." I stand up. "They are fixing it."
Jessica looks at me wary. Her eyes shift to Jason
"Why an initiate is here ?" Jessica points at Jason
"He doesn't want to stay with too much people that he unknown so I bring him with me . The rule only said that they are not allowed to leave the compound alone but I accompanied him." I explain
"It's fine Jessie ." Alexander grabs her hand
Doctor comes out . He takes off his mask. He shakes his head
"I am sorry. She didn't make it. She was waiting for her granddaughter to come visit and she is now passed away already" Doctor gives me a document. "When you signed it, you prove that she is dead. We will give you a death certificate ."
"Thank you. I can accept that. However can I go and see her ." I blink my eyes .
"Sure ." Doctor opens the door
Many nurses and doctors are cleaning body for my grandma . My grandma is lying there still . Pale and stiff , she just likes that she is asleep.
"Grandma . I miss you. I really do ." I cry. "I know what you mean but I have to do everything to protect Jason. Mark already gone so he is my last strike ."
"She can hear you Delia." Alexander rubs my back. "Jason is a lucky one . He has you and you have him as well."
"However I know that grandma really likes him and wishes that I can be with him. However I can't." I clinch my jaw
Alexander is silent for a second . He leans against the wall
"Your grandma is a great leader. She taught me a lot." He bites his lips . "I will have a funeral for her . Jessica wants to go shopping. Do you want to go with her . I will arrange her body to dauntless."
"Yeah sure . I will go ." I smile at him
I wipe my tears . Jessica is outside accompanied by Jason. She can't see this because her baby will not be good .
"You know Jessica is having two babies?" I change the subject
"Yeah I know it. A lot of pressure for me . I beat up Albert again. He tried to hug Jessica ." Alexander is angry. "I want to kill him one day."
"Maybe he is just giving her a best wish." I say.
Alexander is sometime thinking too much and he doesn't get the point.
"I don't think so . He looks like that he still loves her ." Alexander says every word with fire in to him
"They are in different faction now Alex . They can't possibly be ." I say .
I leave the room. Jessica stands up.
"Jason can you accompany Alexander now . I will go shopping with Jessica ." I take out the car key. "I will drive the car Jessica . You just sit."
Jessica leaves with me out of the hospital. Alexander's car is just outside . I sit into the driver's seat and Jessica climbs in the back
"Buckle your seat belt." I say
"Okay sure Delia." Jessica rolls her eyes
I drive slowly and steady because I al worried for babies . We finally reach the mall and Jessica gets down
"I want to get some babies clothing. They are one boy and one girl. They already tell me about it." Jessica seems happier now "the problem is Alex just punched Albert again."
"I know that but he hugged you Jessica ." I grab her hand. "Try not to let him see you anymore ."
"I will but that is just a way Candor gives a good wish." Jessica Lowers her head
I know that isn't a big deal but it is for Alexander
"Alexander doesn't has many safety within himself so he is very sensitive Jessica ." I brush her hair .
She is just a few year older than me so she is my elder sister . We get into the mall. We are looking around for something fit.
Finally my eyes rest on a blue skirt. It is knee length but not quiet.
"I like that one ." I point at that
"Go try it on." Jessica nods at me . "It will look good on you."
"I am worried about you." I point at her belly button
She shakes her head . We walk into the store and I ask for the small size of the dress
"Can I try this on?" I ask the server
"For sure ." Server enters a room
Soon she takes out a dress and I take it and go into the fitting room. I change my cloth with the dress and it looks pretty. I leave the fitting room and Jessica stands up.
"It is so good on you." Jessica exclaims
"Yeah it is good ." A man nods at us
I am blushing. It is for sure so embarrassed to see that.
"Then I will get this one now ." I say. "I will go change now and you stay here ."
I go into fitting room quickly and change back into my uniform. I take the dress and walk to the counter . I pay for the bill and walk out with Jessica
"You don't need to be that worried about me . I am fine ." Jessica giggles
"I am worried that Alexander will kill me ." I shrug
"He will not. He will listen to me because I will tell him that it is not your fault." Jessica wraps her arms around me
