My grandma is dead but the training still has to continue . It is the last thing we will do before the ranking for the first stage . Tonight I have to announce the temporary ranking for them. Jason is ranked first because he didn't lose any fight and did well for every training

I hang the board on the wall. We believe in the training come first but technologies come second so we don't really have advanced computer or stuffs like that.

Erudite provides us with serum and computer but we only use the serums frequently.

"So everyone gathering around me please ." I knock on the wall

Everyone are coming toward me . Jackson and Johnson are pretty confident. Jason stands at the last row of the initiates . He is quiet tall so I don't worry that he can't see the board

"So tonight is the temporary rank for your first stage . After tomorrow's training, we will announce the final version of it." I clap my hand

I leave the way and everyone are looking at the board

"Why Jason is the first?" Jackson exclaims. "I never lose to anyone too."

"His opponents are much stronger than you so beating up a stronger one can boost the rank. However lose to the weak one or not too strong opponents can push your rank down." I look at Jason . He is the weak one who I am talking about

Jackson looks at Jason . His eyes are fierce . He tries to throw him at Jason but I grab his collar

"Also , bullying a weak one is what I considered as coward and we don't accept that." I smirk. "Unless , you can beat me up."

Jackson loses his temper . He pulls him away from me and stumble out of the room. Johnson follows him as well as Molly. Three of them are from Candor and they are inseparable since they born.

"Okay get a good rest and prepared for tomorrow 's last training ." I walk out of the room

Alexander is now throwing something in the training room. He always do that at night when everyone go to sleep.

"Alex ." I walk downstair toward the training room. "How is Jessica ?"

"She is sleeping." He stops throwing the knife . "Want to try?"

I take the knives from the tables. Three knives at a time , I throw them with my wrist. They all stick at the centre of the target

"Good job. You are the amazing aimer Delia ." Alexander pats my back. "Tomorrow go to Candor talk to Bobby for me and Jessica . We want a certificate ."

"Yeah sure sir . I will do that after the training." I pinch my lips

"No , you should go right in the morning. I will ask Joshua to teach them and of course I will watch that too. I will make sure that he doesn't bully any of your initiates ." Alexander puts his hand on my shoulder

I nod at him. I can't refuse as long as he promised to take care of my initiates for me . I am kind of tired

"Your grandma's funeral will be soon. Don't be too sad about it."Alexander leans on the table . "Are you any better about him?"

"Mark? I am not sure but with Jason with me . I am feeling better but still nervous . He can trust me with that question the first time he met me .he also can randomly trust any one ." I roll my eyes

"I will talk to him and make sure that he doesn't do that anymore Delia. You really look like mark now . The way that you are teaching Jason." Alexander is sleepy. "Good night ."

He walks away and I want to go to sleep now . Jason walker appears in front of me .

"I heard the conversation." Jason walks closer to me . "What kind of people that mark is that you frequently is sobbing for ."

"He was my instructor Jason. I told you already so many time ." I say

"You said that you have clear line between instructor and initiates . Don't you have clear line between you and him" Jason questions me

I know that he suspects that I love mark but I don't

"I am just upset that he was killed Jason. Nothing more than that." I am frustrated now . "Please Jason just understand me . I don't want to drag you into any of this ."

"Why Delia? Do you really believe that I am just a stiff?" Jason grabs my hand . "I want to know more about you . More about the story happened to you."

"One day I will tell you okay? When you become a member of dauntless." I say

He is silent. We leave the training room after ten minutes . I enter my room. Then I see a black clothed man is standing right there . I can't see his face

"Who are you." I am shocked

"If you closer to Jason walker again, Delia you will kill him." The man says coldly.

"Who are you and are you watching me and my initiates ." I sit down

He is quiet. I want to open the light but he stops me

"I can't tell you who I am but I am just warning you. After a year when he becomes a member which is still one year and half from now on, you have to come to the fence to meet me . You have a mission to complete ." The man says harshly

"If I don't corporate , what will happen." I fold my arms

"Then we will tell anyone especially erudite that Jason walker is divergent and he will be so dead ." The man laughs .

I don't want Jason to die again like marks. I clinch my fist

"I will come . I promise that ." I close my eyes . "In exchange , will you ever protect my initiate especially Jason?"

He nods at me . He turns around and I want to have a guess

"Mark is that you? It must be you because only you know how to hit my hard." I scream

"Maybe you are right and wrongs . He didn't expect that Jason is more important than him for you. He must be disappointed ." The man sighs

"It's wrong. It is because you tell me mark . You tell me that is your intention to protect me . It is also my intention to protect him." I cry. "Mark please come back. I am scared ."

When I stand up, the man already disappears .

The second morning, I forget everything. I don't know what did I heard or see but I only remembered one thing. One and half year from now on, I have to go to the fringe .

If I don't go, then they will kill Jason . I have to work for him. I sneak out of the dauntless headquarter . Today is my official job as an ambassador . I need to have a clear mind

I have a muffins in my hand to eat on my way. The train comes on time and I hop on the train. I watch the dauntless compound disappears in front of me and I sit down .

I dangle my feet outside of the train and sing a song which my grandma taught me .

"That is an abnegation song ." Someone talks to me

I tilt my head . I see the girl is wearing black clothes but they are all dirty——factionless

"No offensive , my name is Tamara ." Tamara smiles at me . "I am old enough to become Factionless ."

"However dauntless don't kick people out just because they are old ." I frown

"Yeah but I don't think that I can be any used for my faction." Tamara sits beside me . "You are still young so you don't understand ."

Maybe I am young . However why does she says that is an abnegation song.

"Why do you say that was abnegation song?" I raise my eyebrows . "I am dauntless born."

"I know who your grandma is . She was abnegation but transferred to dauntless when she was 12." Tamra nods at me

Oh my grandma was abnegation before that's why she never tell me who taught her how to sing.

"Oh I never know about it." I shake my head .

"There are a big secret hidden in this city but I think that we will never know ." Tamara looks at me . "Only you will know it one day."

It is closer to Candor headquarter . I don't even know what secret that she is referring to

"I have to go now . See you again Tamara ."

I jump off the train and walk toward the Candor headquarter . I inhale and exhale deeply. When I reach their door , the soldier stops me .

"I am Delia . The ambassador of dauntless. I am here on the behalf of Alexander Pushkin to talk to Bobby ." I say sternly.

"I will go talk to him and let you know ." The soldier nods at a me

He walks in the compound and for a while I just stand there . The soldier finally comes out.

"He is at third floor . Welcome to Candor headquarter ." The soldier beckons me to get in.

"Thank you." I smile at him

I get into the compounds and it is so large . I walk to the elevator and press the upper button.

Everyone look at me like I am about to explode

I enter the elevator and press the button three . It is the highest floor that they have . The elevator goes up very quickly and I feel dizzy.

When it comes to a ding, I feel that I want to throw up. I remade my cloth and walk out . I walk toward the office for Bobby.

I knock on the door

"Come in please."

I open the door . Bobby is standing beside the window

"Welcome to Candor Delia ." Bobby turns around . "Sit down please ."

"Thank you ." I sit down . "I come here on the behalf of Alexander to request a marriage certificate for him and Jessica."

"That's it? That is so easy. He just needs to send me a message ." Bobby shakes his head

I know that Alexander wants it to be official.

"You know mr Pushkin always like it to be official." I say seriously. "So I come here ."
