Episode 118: A Promise is a Promise
Mew and her friends are now in a real jam. First little Silver, the Lugia have been captured along with Mew by Team Rocket. And now Team Rocket has captured Silver's mother. What's more, unable to stop Cassidy and Butch's angry Pokemon and Silver's mother capture, Misty, Brock, Jen, Tomo, and Ritchie have been imprisoned as well.
Up on the surface…
"They Ritchie and the others too," Luka says, worried.
"Silver," Oliver calls out.
Oliver and Lanturn dive in the water before resurfacing.
"Don't worry, Luka! Let's help them, Lanturn," Oliver says in thought.
Oliver puts on a breathing device and heads out to open water.
"Oliver, please, be careful!" Luka calls out.
"Be safe Oliver," Molly calls out.
Meanwhile, in the Team Rocket aqua base, the mother Lugia tries to get loose while Silver cries out.
"A parent, child reunion. How touching," Professor Namba says.
Then turns his head to the others, "Butch, Cassidy, where is that other Lugia.
"When we arrived, we didn't see it. I could have gotten off while we weren't looking," Cassidy says.
"But as long as we have its trainer, it won't get far," Butch says.
"Good, for now, let's separate these two for a while," Professor Namba says.
"Right," Cassidy says.
Cassidy and Butch then take Silver out of the room as both parent and child cry out for each other.
Somewhere in the base, Mew's Lugia is actually hiding in the air vent. Mew's Lugia remembers how he's been taken into the base along with Mew and the others. Luckily, Mew warns Lugia that Team Rocket is coming, so Lugia finds a place to hide behind some crates. He is able to find an air vent and crawls in. Now, Mew's Lugia is searching in the base to search where Mew and the others are being held.
Meanwhile, still imprisoned in the cage, Tomo and the others have woken up, and try to figure out what to do. With their Pokeballs confiscated and them locked in the cage, they try to figure out what to do.
"Gotta do something, and quick!" Tomo says.
"I know, we made a promise to Lugia we've just got to keep," Ritchie says.
Tomo expresses his frustration, "First we couldn't get Silver out, and now they've got poor Lugia. Too."
"If we don't do something, Lugia might not trust anyone ever again," Ritchie says.
"There's no way we can let that happen," Tomo says.
"But, what can we do?" Misty asks.
"Since they took away all of our Pokéballs, it's gonna be tough," Brock says.
"And we don't know where they've taken Mew and the Lugias," Jen adds.
"There's gotta be some way out of this. There must be a way out," Ritchie says.
"Right, and we're gonna find it!" Tomo says.
The lights come on and Professor Namba shows himself.
The professor says, "Greetings, my young friends, and welcome to Team Rocket's command center. My name is Professor Namba and I'll be your host for the evening."
Tomo angrily says, "Why don't you just cut the small talk and let those Lugia go free right now?!"
"And let Mew go too!" Jen says.
"Yeah! And what do you want with those three Lugia anyway?!" Misty demands.
"I'd be delighted to share my plan with such inquiring young minds," Professor Namba says, "But first, we just need to wait for our special guest."
"Special guest?" Tomo questions.
Just then, the door opens, followed by a familiar voice, "Let go of me! Let me go!"
The gang turns as they gasp in shock to see Mew having been tied up and dragged into the room by one of the Team Rocket grunts.
"Mew!" Ritchie cries out.
Mew turns to see her friends, "Tomo! Ritchie! Guys!"
"Are you okay?!" Brock asks.
"Not really at the moment!" Mew says.
"Good now that our special guest is here, I can tell you of my plan," Professor Namba says, "I have now discovered a way to transform Lugia's power into a completely new form of energy that only I will be able to control! Pokémon are meant to serve us humans, after all."
"They're not supposed to serve!" Mew angrily says.
"We're supposed to live together in peace and help each other out!" Misty says.
"That kind of cooperation helps everyone," Ritchie says.
"Yeah, it's what keeps all of nature in perfect balance," Brock says.
"Pokemon are supposed to be our friends," Jen adds.
"And family too!" Tomo adds.
"You naïve little kiddies just don't get it, do you?" Namba says, "Nature's only purpose is to serve mankind, nothing more and nothing less!"
"What did you say?!" Jen exclaims in shock.
"What makes you think you're any better than the Pokémon?!" Misty demands.
"I know I'm superior to them," Professor Namba says, "Besides, who do you think it was that invented the way to control a Pokémon's anger and power? You saw how powerful Houndour and Hitmontop were, well, that is my invention!"
That's when the group remembers the strange devices on Houndour and Hitmontop.
Professor Namba explains, "I have created a device that can artificially stimulate extreme rage attacks. I like to call my little creation Namba's Nasty Pokémon Provoker!"
"What?!" Ritchie exclaims in shock and anger, "Forcing a Pokémon to get really mad?! That's wrong!"
"No, little boy, you're the one who's wrong. Angering a Pokémon is the best way to release its power," Professor Namba says.
"No, that's not true!" Tomo angrily says.
"I can't believe you'd do that to the Pokémon!" Misty says.
"That's so cruel!" Brock angrily says.
"That is really mean!" Jen adds.
"That's a horrible thing to do!" Mew says.
"Once I get that Lugia angry enough, its power will be totally unstoppable! It should be quite shocking," Professor Namba says.
"You can't do this to Lugia!" Tomo cries out.
"That's awful!" Misty says.
"You're insane!" Jen cries out.
"Okay, then, I'll start by giving YOUR Pokémon a little jumpstart!" Professor Namba says.
Soon, it's revealed that Pikachu, Sparkle, and Sparky soon rise uo of the floor and are strapped down. Then a cage is lifted up to reveal Eevee, Lilac, Meloetta, Skwovet, and Amaura are trapped in a cage.
All three Pikachu cry out, "Pika!" ("Help us!")
Mew cries out, "Pikachu! Eevee!"
"Sparky! Lilac!" Ritchie cries out.
"Sparkle!" Misty cries out.
"And the other Pokemon!" Brock says.
"First I'll wire them up to Namba's Nasty Pokémon Provoker. I guarantee you've never seen your Pokémon as strong as when filled with the power of full rage!" Namba says and laughs wickedly.
Meanwhile, Oliver and Lanturn approach the base and Oliver quickly finds an opening. He then swims off Lanturn and swims through the opening and into the base.
Meanwhile, we find Jessie and James in their grunt disguises.
"If we don't locate those Lugia soon, Butch and Cassidy will be in and we'll be out," Jessie says.
"This is not the outfit I'd like to go out on," James says.
Jessie then uses the keycard, Jessie and James enter a room
"This room looks like a good place to start, "Jessie says.
Meowth pops out of James' outfit, "Dis must be da place where dey run da space."
"Which one of these screens shows Lugia?" James wonders.
Soon, Meowth spots Tomo and the others on the monitor, "Look at dat! Dose twerps have been trown in da brig!"
"I wonder what they were arrested for," James says.
"Perfect, this is an opportunity in disguise," Jessie says.
"Come again?" Meowth questions.
"We'll coerce those creeps into creating chaos, causing a calamity, and in the uncontrolled commotion, we'll capture those condors!" Jessie says.
"Brilliant use of the letter c!" James says, excited.
"Meowth, you go and figure out the secret combination to that cage," Jessie says.
Meowth jumps out of the uniform, "Check!" and gets working on the keypad.
"James, you get a lock on the Lugia's location," James says.
"At lightning speed," James says, and gets to work.
Meanwhile, Oliver is crawling through the air vent. Suddenly he bumps into something, or someone. Oliver soon looks to see Mew's Lugia.
Oliver is relieved, "Lugia, you didn't get captured."
Lugia lets out a happy cry in reply.
"Come on, let's find the others," Oliver says.
Shortly after, Oliver comes out of the air vent.
"Cool, we made it inside," Oliver says.
But as he crawls out, Oliver gets caught.
A Team Rocket Grunt notices him, "What are you doing?
"Uh oh!" Oliver panics and runs off.
"Hold it!" the Grunt says and Oliver by his arm.
Oliver cries out, "Let go! Let go of me!" as he struggles to get himself free.
Then Mew's Lugia comes out and bites the Grunt on the leg.
"OW!" The Grunt yelps and looks down to see Lugia, "Hey, let go of me you little Pokemon!"
Then the grunt struggles to hold onto Oliver as he tries to shake Mew's Lugia off from his leg.
Soon, Jessie and James spot the,
"Say, isn't that...?" Jessie questions.
"The kid who was hanging around with the twerps before and the twerpette's little Lugia," James says.
"That Lugia sure has quite a bite for its size.
Jessie and James get an idea.
Jessie approaches the Grunt, "Excuse me."
"We can take the kid and Luga off your hands, soldier," James says.
"Uh, gee, thanks," The Grunt says.
Jessie takes over for the Grunt as he grabs Oliver's arm. James tickles the little Lugia as he picks the little Pokemon in his arms. Then Mew's Lugia bites James' hand.
James yelps, "Ow. That hurt."
Then Jessie puts her plans to motion and says to Oliver, "Hey, you'll need help with that cage."
"Huh?" Oliver replies, confused.
Still in pain, James says to Lugia, "And you want to help your trainer, right?"
Little Lugia let's go and James shakes his injured hand.
Jessie whispers her plan. And then says with a smile, "Okay?"
"Yeah, but who are you guys?" Oliver asks.
"Who else?" Jessie asks.
"We're superheroes, of course!" James says.
Oliver grins in wonder while Team Rocket laughs.
Then pass little Lugia to Oliver, and take the squirt with you. I'm sure he can make a good distraction.
Meanwhile, the three Pikachu struggle to get loose as the Provokers near them.
"Stop it!" Mew cries out.
Ritchie: Don't do it!" Ritchie shouts.
"Hey, knock it off, Namba!" Misty shouts.
Namba turns to the kids in anger, "You're ruining my concentration!
Soon, from the vent, Oliver.
"Who are you?!" Namba demands.
"Oliver!" Everyone calls out.
And soon, Mew's Lugia comes out of the vent.
Mew happily says, "Lugia!"
Mew's Lugia climbs out of the vent, runs to the Grunt holding Mew, and bites him on the leg, making scream in agony. Meanwhile, Oliver heads over to the cage keypad.
Oliver types in the code, "Four four five three."
The cage unlocks.
"That's it!" Oliver says.
Professor Namba exclaims in shock, "Who told you that number?!"
Everyone quickly busts out. Brock then quickly tackles Namba and sends him into the wall, knocking him out. Then Ritchie does the same with the grunt to the wall, forcing him to let go of Mew.
Ritchie quickly unties Mew and frees her.
"Thanks Ritchie, now let's hurry," Mew says.
Mew quick;y rush and breaks the arms holding the Provokers. She breaks one. Then break the second one. And then breaks the last one.
Mew then swings one of them, "Take, this!"
And uses the arm to destroy the console, freeing the three Pokemon and the rest of the Pokemon.
Mew happily says, "Pikachu! Eevee! Lugia!"
"Sparky! Lilac!" Ritchie says, relieved.
"Skwovet Meloetta!" Tomo calls out.
"Sparkle!" Misty says, relieved.
"Amaura!" Jen says.
Soon, all the Pokemon are reunited with their trainers.
"You're all okay," Mew says.
All the Pokemon say that they're good.
"You guys alright," Oliver says.
"Yeah," Tomo says.
"Thanks a lot, Oliver. You, too, Lugia," Ritchie says.
Mew's Lugia lets out a cry with glee.
"That was a close one," Brock says.
Misty turns to Oliver, "Oliver, how did you get the secret code that opened the cage?"
"These two nice superheroes, they gave it to us," Oliver says.
Everyone is puzzled.
"You met two superheroes?" Mew says, confused.
Suddenly, Namba regains consciousness, "Leaving so soon? The party's just begun!"
With the press of a button, the alarm goes off.
"Guys, we've gotta go!" Ritchie says.
"Yeah!" Mew says.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket Grunts start running while Jessie and James "direct traffic."
Jessie calls out, "Let's go! Keep it moving!"
"Those scoundrels have gotten loose!" James calls out.
Jessie also calls out, "For the dignity of Team Rocket, move it!"
Mew and the others leave the room, but are soon greeted by Butch, Cassidy, and an army of grunts.
"Hold it!" Cassidy says.
That's as far as you go!" Butch says.
Cassidy brings out her Pokeball and calls out, "Go, Houndour!"
Buthc does the same, "Go, Hitmontop!"
Both Pokemon come out.
Ritchie calls out, "Go on, Sparky, you can handle em!"
"Pikachu!" Mew says.
Both Pokemon join the battle
Cassidy calls out, "Houndour, enraged Flamethrower!"
Houndour launches the attack.
New calls out, "Dodge it, now!"
Pikachu narrowly does so.
Butch calls out, "Enraged Rolling Kick, Hitmontop!"
Hitmonrop performs the attack.
Ritchie calls out, "Sparky, dodge!"
Sparky manages to do so.
Then Ritchie calls out, "Now aim for that thing on its head!"
"Go, Pikachu!" Mew calls out.
Both Pikachu jump in the air.
Both Mew and Ritchie calls out, Thunderbolt, now!"
Both Pikachu launch their attack and destroy the Pokémon Provokers, shocking Butch and Cassidy.
"No, not that!" Butch panics.
Just then. Lugia cries and steps in.
"I guess Lugia wants to join in as well.
"Sounds good to me," Mew says.
Then calls out, "Lugia, use Dragon Rush!"
Lugia then performs the attack and nail at Houndour and Hitmontop with full force, knocking both Pokemon down.
Cassidy calls out, "Houndour!"
"Hitmontop!" Butch calls out.
Suddenly, Professor Namba appears on the P.A, "Butch! Cassidy!"
"Yes?!" Cassidy asks.
"Someone has broken into Lugia's room! Investigate immediately!" Professor Namba appears on the P.A.
"We're on our way, sir!" Butch says.
Cassidy turns to the grunt, "Take care of these fools. (to Butch) Let's go.
Butch and Cassidy quickly rush off with their Pokémon.
"No way!" Mew says.
The grunts charge in.
Meanwhile, James is fiddling with some controls.
"Just a few more seconds!" James says.
"Get a move on!" Jessie demands.
"Hurry! Put da pedal to da medal!" Meowth says.
As James continues fiddling, we see that he's actually trying to free Lugia before Butch and Cassidy come in.
"What are you two doing here?!" Cassidy demands.
Team Rocket turns to see they've been coughing.
"Cassidy!" Jessie panics.
"Jessie!" Cassidy says in shock.
"And John!" Butch says.
"You said it wrong on purpose!" James angrily says.
Then Cassidy demands, "What are you two losers doing here?"
"We're going to nab the two Lugia and grab the glory!" Jessie says.
"Don't bore us with your lame plans!" Cassidy says, annoyed.
"All you do is get in the way!" Butch angrily says.
"Yeah?!" James questions angrily.
"Alright, that's it!" Jessie says.
Cassidy calls out, "Go, Houndour!"
Butch calls out, "Go, Hitmontop!"
Jessie calls out, "Go, Arbok!"
James calls out, "Go, Victreebel!"
Butch and Cassidy's Pokemon charge in as Jessie and James' Pokemon come out of their Pokeballs, though Victreebel tries to eat James.
"I'm not the enemy, they are!" James cries out.
Houndour, Flamethrower!" Cassidy calls out.
Houndour launches the attack.
Jessie calls out, "Dodge it, Arbok! Use Headbutt!"
Arbok does avoid the oncoming attack and nails Houndour.
"Victreebel, Razor Leaf!" James calls out.
Victreebel launches the attack.
Butch calls out, "Hitmontop, Triple Kick!"
Hitmontop manages to counter the Razor Leaf with its Triple Kick before nailing Victreebel with it.
Meanwhile, with Mew and her friends…
"Go, Cruise!" Ritchie calls out.
And Mew calls out, "Lugia, use Brine!"
Both Pokemon perform their attacks and defeat all the Grunts in their way.
After defeating the Grunts, everyone hurries down the hall to find Silver and his mom.
Mew's Lugia hears something and lets out a cry.
Mew says, "Guys, Lugia is hearing Silver's cry somewhere down here.
"Great!" Oliver says.
Mew and the others soon enter the room, and find Professor Namba with Silver in a cage..
"Hey, how did you get here?" Mew demands.
Professor Namba chuckles, "I insist that this Lugia remains my guest."
"Why don't you just give it up?!" Misty demands.
"Do you enjoy trying my patience?!" Professor Namba angrily says, and gets out his Pokeball" Go, Electabuzz!"
Electabuzz comes out and has the device on its head.
"With my Electabuzz charged by the Provoker, you don't stand a chance!" Professor Namba says.
Mew calls out, "Eevee!"
"Lilac!" Ritchie calls out.
Both Eevee leap into action.
"Making a Pokémon angry doesn't unleash its true power!" Ritchie says.
"Oh, really?" Professor Namba angrily says, and calls out, "Electabuzz, enraged Thunder Punch, now!"
Electabuzz charges for the attack, but both Eevee dodge.
"Eevee, use Thunderbolt on its headgear!" Mew calls out
Eevee then prepares to attack.
Professor Nambs calls out, "Electabuzz, use Light Screen!"
Electabuzz promptly blocks Eevees attack.
"Whoa," Mew says.
"Electabuzz, enraged Thunder Punch! Make sure you show them no mercy!" Professor Namba calls out.
Electabuzz changes the attack hard.
"Now, turn it up, Electabuzz!" Electabuzz calls out.
Electabuzz UNLEASHES an extremely powerful Thunderbolt that knocks both Eevee.
Namba laughs, "You see, the more rage you make a Pokemon feel, the stronger they become." Then turn up the control, "Turn it up to eleven Electabuzz! Enraged Thunder Punch!"
Then strikes both Eevees with one punch.
"Eevee!" Mew calls out.
"Lilac!" Ritchie cries out.
Meanwhile, in Lugia's holding room….
Houndour, Flamethrower!" Cassidy calls out.
Arbok ducks the attack, allowing the attack to hit part of the device holding Lugia.
Butch calls out, "Hitmontop, Rapid Spin!
Hitmontop charges in with the attack.
But James calls out, "Victreebel, use Vine Whip!"
Victreebel fires the attack, but misses. However it's enough to send Hitmontop veering away into the damaged device holding Lugia. A Flamethrower from Houndour sends Arbok into it as well.
"Alright! Go, Wobbuffet!" Jessie calls out, and gets out her Pokemon.
Wobbuffet comes out, "Wobbuffet!" (On the way!)
"Houndour, Flamethrower!" Cassidy calls out.
Houndour launches the attack.
Jessie calls out, "Wobbuffet, Counter!"
Wobbuffet manages to block and split the attack into different directions, prompting all the Team Rocket members to duck while some of the flames hit the already damaged containment device. This is ultimately enough to destroy the device and free Lugia, causing everyone to panic.
"Wobbuffet!" (Mother's angry!) Wobbuffet cries out in fear.
Lugia fires an Aero Blast right into the wall, causing a massive explosion and sending Butch, Cassidy and the Team Rocket Trio, along with their Pokemon, flying.
All of them cry out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Meanwhile, the aqua base heads to the surface.
The Team Rocket Grunt announces through the P.A system, "This is an emergency! The internal hydro wall has ruptured! Prepare to rise to the surface!"
As the grunt talks, the base surfaces.
The P.A Continues, "All hands, take shelter! All hands, take shelter!
Soon, Lugia bursts into a hallway with another Aero Blast before zooming off to find Silver, who is seen continuing to cry out.
"So now what do you think of my enraged Electabuzz?" Professor Namba questions.
"Eevee won't lose to that Electabuzz!" Mew says.
"And neither will Lilac!" Ritchie says.
Then turns to Mew, "Mew, I think we should team them up this time."
"Yeah," Mew says, and calls out, "Let's go, Eevee!"
"Lilac!" Ritchie calls out.
Prof. Namba calls out, "Alright, Electabuzz, enraged Thunder Punch!"
Electabuzz throws the attack, but both Eevee dodge
Mew and Ritchie call out, "Thunderbolt it!"
Both Eevee and Lilac launch their attack.
Professor Namba fiddles with the control in anger, "Rage! Rage! I just love rage!"
The two keep Eevee dodging Thunder Punch after Thunder Punch.
Mew calls out…
"Lilac!" Ritchie calls out.
Both trainers call out, "Stagger its attack!"
Both Eevee and Lilac make Electabuzz stagger.
Then they both call out, "Double Thunderbolt!"
Both of them launch their attacks.
Professor Namba calls out, "Light Screen, Electabuzz, let's go!"
Both attacks are quickly blocked by the Light Screen.
"Even a double attack wasn't able to get through that Light Screen!" Brock says.
Professor Namba calls out, "Electabuzz, enraged Thunderbolt!"
Electabuzz launches the attack, but both Eevee dodge.
"Ah, excellent. Feel the rage. Now feel more rage," Namba says, and turns up the stimulation.
Then Ritc"hie has an idea, "That's it! We have to aim for that box he's holding."
"You're right," Mew says, and calls out, "Eevee, hit Electabuzz with a Thunderbolt!"
Eevee prepares the attack.
"You waste your time!" Professor Namba says, and calls out, "Electabuzz, Light Screen, let's go!"
Electabuzz uses Light Screen to block the attack.
But then Ritchie calls out, "Lilac, use Iron Tail at the Control Box!"
Lilac then charges and does so. Lilac is able to destroy the control with the attack, freeing Electabuzz while shocking Namba in the process.
Ritchie says, "Mew, you know what to do!"
"Right!" Mew cays.
Mew calls out, "Lugia, use Dragon Rush! Full power!"
Little Lugia charges with the attack and sends it flying before it lands on its trainer.
Professor Namba coughs and says, "The only way to bring out Pokemon power, is through rage!"
"Wrong, it's through trust," Mew says.
"Right?" Mew and Ritchie reply, turning to their Pokemon.
The two Pkachu, Two Eevee, and Lugia agree as they say, "That's the truth!"
"That, makes me mad!" Professor Namba says and is soon knocked out.
Suddenly, the P.A. announces, "Everyone must evacuate! You must evacuate! This is not a drill!"
Silver cries out.
"Let's get Silver!" Ritchie says.
"Yeah!" Mew says.
Then says to Silver, "Silver, we're gonna get you out, move back!"
Silver does so.
Ritchie calls out, "Come on, Zippo! Let's go!"
Tomo then calls out, "Go Flint!"
With that, Zippo the Charmeleon, and Flint the Cyndaquil come out.
Both trainers call out, "Flamethrower!"
Both Pokemon fire the attacks, and heat up a corner of the cage. Soon, Poliwhirl and Quaxly.
Mew turns to the girls, "Misty, Jen, are you ready?"
"Ready!" Jen and Misty say.
Then Misty calls out, "Poliwhirl…"
"Quaxly…" Jen calls out.
Both girls call out, "Water Gun!"
Both attacks fire, cooling down the heated corner of the cage.
Ritchie calls out, "Cruise!"
Cruise charges forward and destroys the cage.
"Yeah!" Mew cheers.
"Silver!" Oliver happily says.
Silver hops out of the cage, free at last.
Oliver runs up to his friend, "Silver! Silver! I'm so glad you're okay!"
Silver is happy to see Oliver and the others again.
Meanwhile, Silver's mother keeps firing Aero Blast attacks, bringing the whole base down as Mew and the others rush Silver out before they reach Lugia.
Mew calls out, "Lugia, we brought Silver! You have to listen to me!"
But Lugia doesn't, and is still on a rampage.
"It's okay now!" Misty calls out.
Mew's Luga lets out a cry.
Mew translates, "Mew says to Lugia Lugia, I know it took a while, but we promised to get Silver back for you, and we did!'"
Lugia turns and sees Silver, safe and sound. Even Silver lets out cries and explains what happened, and how both the humans and Pokemon are able to help him escape.
"We're really sorry that this all happened, Lugia," Tomo says.
"We did our best to help. Please, don't give up on humans," Ritchie says.
Soon, part of the roof caves in, coming down on the gang. However, Silver's mom, Lugia saves them by using Safeguard.
"Look at that!" Misty says.
"It's using Safeguard!" Brock says.
"That means it wants to protect us!" Mew says.
"See? I guess you really do trust humans after all," Ritchie says.
"Thanks, Lugia," Mew says.
All the Pokemon express their gratitude as well.
Soon, everyone gets a move on as the base implodes.
"There's not much time!" Brock says.
Then Mew says, "Look! There's a way out!"
Soon, everyone leaps out just in time as the base explodes.
Later that evening, Namba and the grunts are seen floating amongst some debris.
Team Rocket Grunt #1 asks, "Professor Namba! Are you okay?!"
"What?! I'm floating on a twig! Am I okay?!" Professor Namba angrily says, and starts crying.
Meanwhile, on Luka's boat, everyone bid farewell to Silver and his mother.
With teary eyes, Oliver says, "It's probably better for the Lugia if they don't stay around here, but I'm gonna miss em a lot."

Mew's Lugia also lets out a cry in goodbye.
Both Lugia dive into the sea.
The next day, Mew and her friends are about to bid Oliver and Ritchie farewell.
"I think I'm gonna keep exploring the Whirl Islands," Tomo says.
"Well, we're on our way to Olivine City, so, I guess it's goodbye for now," Mew says.
"By the way, you've gotten a lot stronger, Mew. I learned so much battling alongside you," Ritchie says.

Luka turns to the others, "So, are you guys still headed to the port in Transit Town?"
"You bet," Misty answers.
"There's a ferry from there to Olivine City," Brock says.
"Then let's go," Luka says.
The boat motor soon starts up and the boat starts to move.
Mew calls out, "See you later, Ritchie. Take care, Oliver!
"Come visit someday! Lanturn and I will be waiting for you! Bye!" Oliver calls out.
Ritchie calls out, "Have a safe trip, you guys!"
Everyone continues to say their goodbyes to them as the boat leaves to Transit Town, and will continue their journey to Olivine City. They've been able to keep their promise and reunite the Lugia mother and child. And Mew's Lugia is getting stronger. With trust and teamwork, they're able to defeat Team Rocket's plan, and now continue their adventures.
