Mortal Kombat: The Begining:

Earthrealm is in grave danger, with Outrealm only one tournament away from gaining the right to invade, the protectors of Earthrealm stand ready for the toughest fight of their lives, expesially since Outrealm has decided to try and prevent the protectors from competing at all in order to ensure victory. (An adaptation of the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie.)

Prologue:

Scientists like to have theories about what lay beyond the earth. People enjoy hearing tales of alien worlds and how people could live. No one knew the truth about what the universe was really like, no one on earth at least except for the Thunder God Raidan and his Shalodin Monks. For they knew the harsh truth about the Universe and how it was created by a dark being known as the One Being until his subjects the Elder Gods rebelled and shattered his creation in an event that Earth scientists called the Big Bang. This created many worlds all scattered by the One Being would have desires to try and unite them all together again and that is where the danger currently lay.

Outworld, one of the larger realms had begun conquering other realms under the leadership of their ruler Onaga the Dragon King and later Emperor Shao Khan who began conquering the smaller realms. When they began invading the larger realm of Edenia, the people begged the Elder Gods for help. The Elder Gods feared the merging of the realms would release the One Being and so to prevent that and also to limit the influence of Outworld over the realms, they created a competition where each generation, the best fighters of the realms would come together to fight in one on one fights until one was declared the champion. The champion would be the final opponent in the next tournament. If Outworld managed to win ten tournaments in a row then they would be allowed to merge with that particular realm. This tournament would be known as Mortal Kombat.

Despite this, Edenia ended up falling under control of Outworld after losing 10 Mortal Kombat in a row. King Jarrod was killed and his wife Sindel was forced to marry Emperor Shao Khan. Her daughter Kitana was forced to become Shao Khan's personal assassin and bodyguard.

With Edenia now under Outworld control, Shao Khan turned his attention towards another major realm, Earthrealm, our homeworld. Because of the rules of the Elder Gods, he was unable to just invade and so he had to arrange for a tournament just like with Edenia. He found the solution with an Earthrealm sorcerer called Shang Tsung who manipulated the order of monks known as the Shaolin to help create the tournament on Earth. Queen Sindel realized that the Tournament did not protect Earthrealm from Shao Khan's influence and so she would sacrifice herself in order to prevent Khan from entering Earthrealm to try and control the tournament. Even with this barricade, Khan was nearly able to win thanks to Shang Tsung winning nine tournaments in a row but when it came to the tenth, he was beaten by the Shaolin Monk called Kung Lao known as a the Great.

This defeat forced Shao Khan to restart his plan all over again and unwilling to risk defeat and his own life, Shang Tsung decided to play dirty and in the next tournament, the Great Kung Lao was killed by the new champion, Prince Goro of the Shokan and general of Shao Khan's army. Since then, Outrealm has once again managed to win nine Mortal Kombat Tournaments in a row despite the efforts of the Thunder God Raidan who tried to help by training Earthrealm's fighters for the tournament but was unable to fight himself because of the rules.

With the tenth tournament coming up, Lord Raidan is determined to ensure that Shang Tsung does not win this fight and has prepared the Shaolin monks to try and locate Earthrealm's defenders in particular a descendant of a great warrior called Hanzo Hasashi who a prophecy foretells should unite and group of champions. Shang Tsung knows this too and knowing that he would most likely be killed if he fails again, he prepares to bend the rules of the tournament to ensure Outworld's victory.

Notes: Well here is a new story which is my adaptation of the 2021 Mortal Kombat film. I love Fantasy and while I had heard of Mortal Kombat, I had never played it before until recently. This has allowed me to look back at the film and while it was good, it did have some flaws in particular some of the characters represented, in particular Goro, Mileena and Kabal and so I want to make my own version of the film which will include more characters and given them more lore and history. Some of the characters will be replaced in this film and new characters will be added on both sides and I am doing some research for this story to make it good for the games.
