Bet y'all never thought I'd make a story like this.

And on the day 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' came out!

This chapter is part one of three of the actual beginning of the story.

And how this story goes is it goes along with the TV show.

We start off at Third Person P.O.V., then we move to Aaron's P.O.V.. After that, in the next chapter we stay in Aaron's P.O.V. before going back into Third Person. Then we keep going.

Well now that that's been said, let's swing into it!

"*exhales* Finally done."

The voice came from a fourteen-year-old, dark-skinned boy with short black hair who had just finished putting his stuff away in his new room in New York.

He's got on a black jacket with a sewn on hood, and if you zip it up, you'll see the full face of a certain well-known black symbiote alien. Under the jacket was a white shirt with a spider web pattern on it, around his neck was a pair of black headphones with a mic, and on his face was a pair of very dark blue glasses. He has on some dark blue jeans, and some blue and white sneakers.

This was Aaron Palmer, and like I said he just moved to New York.

Let me explain better.

You see, Aaron lived in this futuristic town by the name of MegaCity. It had robots, flying cars, all that. It's like if Nueva York was brought into the present.

Anyway, his dad, William, wanted to move to New York, because he got a work proposition there at a place called Oscorp. He decided to bring Aaron's elder brother and sister, AJ and Daira along, but then Aaron asked to come too.

His mom, Elsie, who had divorced from his dad a long time ago, threatened to slaughter William if anything were to happen to Aaron.

He assured her that everything would be okay, and they were on their way.

However, there was a problem. Since William had to stay closer to the company building for work reasons and he had to work for long hours, he needed someone to watch over his kids. Luckily, he remembered his older sister Miriam lived in the Lower East Side with her family.

So after a five hour flight, and forty-three minutes of car travel, William dropped his kids off at the apartment, while he went to work at Oscorp.

The three of them decided to meet their aunt when the time was right in a couple of days, giving them time to settle in.

Aaron was very excited to hear that he was going to be living in the Lower East Side.

He heard that there was a superhero girl around his age who protected the district with a freaking dinosaur! Do you know how cool that is?

He was hoping he'd get to meet her someday.

Anyway, enough of that, Aaron looked in the direction of his computer desk which was across from his bed and said, "Y'know, Eights, something about today feels weird but somehow right."

Eights is Aaron's pet female trichonephila clavata. Street name: Joro spider.

She's in a habitat box on the left of Aaron's computer.

He got up from his bed pulled out a case with some flies inside and while opening the Eights' cage, he said pouring in some of the flies, "Eat up, girl!"

The Joro Spider ate at the insects that got caught in a web of hers, before Aaron's sister Daira called him.

"Aaron! Come get your Zenergy thing!"

Aaron then left to go see what his sister was talking about, but we see that he left Eights' cage open.

The spider herself saw this too, and she ended up crawling out of the opening.

Aaron missed that just as he came back in the room with something saying, "Almost forgot I brought this."

It was some type of canister, and in the middle of it was some kind of neon green electrical energy inside it.

One thing you need to know about Aaron: he's the smartest boy you'll ever find around.

When you live in a town that's literally surrounded by technology, you'll pick up a couple of things.

There isn't a problem he couldn't solve without thinking it through.

Like that canister. That energy inside is what Aaron made himself and called Zenergy.

Extremely powerful and could last forever!

But because of the trip the Zenergy's a little unstable.

Not to worry, all it needs is a little lithium to restabilize it.

"A.J.! You got any spare batteries?" Aaron said leaving his room again after placing the canister on the desk.

...However, right after Aaron closed the door, Eights can be seen climbing onto his desktop.

The spider in question was mesmerized by the green glow of his canister of Zenergy

She crawled closer and closer to it. When she got onto it, she tapped the glass twice with one of her legs.

Big mistake.

The second she did the second tap, there was a big *BOOM!* and the room was filled with green light.

When the light went away, everything in the room had a few neon green electric sparks emitting from them before they disappeared, the Zenergy inside the canister disappated, and Eights is seen on the desk, lying on her back.

At that moment Aaron came back into his room.

"Well, I couldn't find any batteries, so I guess I'll have to go by so- EIGHTS!"

Aaron quickly went to his desk and looked at his pet spider.

"Eights, are you okay?! Speak to me! ...Eights?"

Aaron reached out his right hand to touch her.

When he did,

Aaron's P.O.V.

"YOWCH! Eights, what the H?!"

Eights just bit my hand! Man, it hurt.

"Well, at least I know you're alive. *shakes hand around* Ow...Was bitin' me really necessary?

*sigh* Okay girl, back in your cage."

I put Eights back in her habitat box and left to find some Vaseline or something to deal with the bite.

Joro Spider bites have venom, but it ain't harmful to humans, I'll be fine. I just need to treat the b-

"Sorry, Aaron. Reflex."

Huh? Who said that?

...I shrugged my shoulders and went back to the bathroom. I'm probably hearing things.

When I walked into the bathroom, I opened the cabinet mirror and looked at everything inside.

"Lotion, toothpaste, deodorant, more toothpaste, dental floss, soap, more toothpaste- Okay, why do we have so much of this stuff? There it is."

I grabbed the Vaseline with my right hand and...the bite's gone.

There should be a red swollen bump on my hand where the Eights bit me, but there's nothing there.

Confused, I put the Vaseline back. Well, tried to.

This jar won't leave my hand!

"C'mon!" I tried pulling it off but it won't come off!

Somehow, I finally got it off but it the force of the pull sent me into the wall.

"Ow..." I said before getting up.

Did something sticky spill in the cabinet or something? Today is definitely not my day.

I got up, closed the cabinet, and reached for the light switch on my way out, but when I touched it,

*ZAP!*

Some kind of electric spark tried to touch me from it. It startled me, and I drew my hand back fast!

Okay, either it's Murphy's Law, or something's goin' on with me.

I walked back into my room, and I finally noticed that my canister of Zenergy is empty. I went over and picked it up.

"*sigh* Eights, if it glows, it ain't always good to mess with."

Now I gotta start from scratch.

"I'm sorry, Aaron."

...There it is again.

I know I'm not crazy. Who was that?

I looked around my room,...it's empty.

"Are you okay, Aaron?" "...Okay, show yourself! Who is that?!" "Who are you talking to?" "I could know if whoever this is tells me!" "Wait, Aaron? Can you hear me?" "Hear who?! Who is that?!"

"Aaron! It's me, Eights!" "...What?"

"Over here!"

I slowly turned my head towards Eights. Okay, either I am going crazy, or she looks different.

Joro Spiders have black and yellow stripes, not black and neon green stripes.

"Eights, you look different." "It was the Zenergy. Something must have happened to me." "Okay, who is that?!" "It's me! Eights!" "Stop playin' with me. It's not Eights." "What can I do to convince you?" "Prove you're not someone in my head or in my room by telling me something no one else knows."

"I was a stowaway from Georgia before I came to MegaCity. Instead of killing me on the spot like any human would, you took me in when you found me and gave me a home."

Wait...what?

I never did that for anyone except- Wait a second.

"Eights? Is that really you?" "Yes." "How the-?! You're not talking or anything! How can I hear you?! How can you understand me?! Whoa!"

What's that tingling sensation? What's happening to me?! Am I gonna explode?!

Oh, it went away. I also noticed that Eights was a little off center.

"I felt a strange feeling in my body."

"You too?" I said.

"You felt it too? That's strange.

Aaron, your hands!"

I looked down at my hands and- Okay, that is not normal.

There's sparks of some kind of energy, and what are those squares? They remind me of pixels.

"Okay, there's something strange going on and I don't know if I li-"

*Thwip!*

...Alright, some kind of thin almost-invisible strand of...something just shot out of my wrist and attached to the ceiling.

"Okay, I need to clear my mind. This is way too much. Eights, I'll be back. I need to take a walk."

"See you later."

I made my way to the front door of the apartment, calling out to my older siblings, "I'm going for a walk! Be right back!"

I went through and closed the door...And, my hand's stuck to the doorknob.

After a couple of yanks, I got myself free.

One thought was on my mind as I kept going.

What is happening to me?

Yes, to those who've read my story 'Fresher Start'. [Go check it out!]

This story is of if MegaCity and Aaron were in the Marvel Universe instead of the DC Universe.

This Aaron grew up the same way as the other, but his life takes a few other turns, including how he became a superhero.

I can't say anything more because I might spoil things to those who haven't read 'Fresher Start'.

Guess you'll have to wait for the next chapter to see what happens next!

See ya 'til then!
