Chapter 1: A Sudden Come Back

Somewhere in Italy...

In a secluded part of Italy, beyond the reach of government oversight, lies a 40-acre property encircled by a concealed barrier, masterminded by their technical experts. This intricate device, invisible to the naked eye, is positioned a meter apart, fortifying the land claimed by this secretive 'Family.'

The barrier is unwelcoming to outsiders, and even invited guests must wear a pin adorned with an emblem crafted by the Family's ancestral rulers. This symbol has been passed down through the generations, and it serves as a key to enter this perilous domain.

The place teems with menacing men, as well as support staff, all bearing this emblem on their bodies. It acts as their entry permit into this treacherous territory, where individuals clad in black suits carry weapons that are otherwise illegal in Italy. The entrance is discreetly marked by a tree displaying the emblem in its upper trunk corner, granting access to both visitors and Family members.

Viewed from outside the barrier, the surroundings appear treacherous, with cliffs, venomous snakes, and scorpions that pose a mortal threat to anyone who stumbles or falls due to carelessness. The danger is convincingly real, making it seem like a deadly plunge from a cliff or a venomous bite from one of the "Poison Scorpion's" creatures is imminent.

However, the actual truth is that without the emblem engraved on your body or the pin, you would indeed meet a foolish demise.

Within the protected confines of this hidden domain, a vast and meticulously landscaped area stretches out, reminiscent of the grandeur found at Buckingham Palace, with hedges that mirror those seen in movies, only on a larger scale. It would take half a day just to explore this place, as no buildings are visible from the entrance, only this splendid vista.

The estate boasts diverse amenities, including living quarters that resemble apartment complexes for the numerous subordinates dedicated to safeguarding the "Family." These quarters can house thousands, yet the structures occupy minimal space. Support staff, responsible for attending to the Family's daily needs, such as food preparation and laundry, reside near the central Mansion, where they have their own accommodations.

The locale also features the Family's grand conference hall, a short distance from the Mansion, capacious enough to host all members, subordinates, and even allied Families during monthly gatherings. There's a state-of-the-art Medical Facility equipped with advanced technology, medications, and medical expertise to care for family members and subordinates with unknown ailments or injuries sustained during missions or confrontations with adversaries.

A gym, not far from the conference hall, is open for workouts, even allowing the Head and Guardians to permit their men to use it. The gym's size rivals that of Tokyo Stadium but doesn't occupy much space. Nearby, a serene zen garden provides a tranquil spot for those in need of relaxation, especially for the injured or stressed individuals.

Additionally, the Head has a remarkable collection, spanning from cars to boats and even jets or planes, all discreetly hidden within a spacious garage, with planes assembled outside. It's clear that the "HEAD" possesses a vast array of assets.

In addition to these facilities, there's an exclusive training area solely for the Family's use, though subordinates are permitted to engage in combat or box weapon training if authorized. Each Guardian has a dedicated building, although they all sleep in the mansion. The technical advisers have their own facility for research, information gathering, weapon development, and personal experiments, strictly accessible to the Family and their designated messengers. They also have sleeping quarters in the facility, preventing them from sleeping on the cold walkways due to exhaustion.

Adjacent to the technical facility, just two yards away, lies the extensive library designated for the Family's brilliant Guardian. The technical advisers may access it with permission. Nearby is the kendo hall, where another Guardian finds relaxation and solace. Although the carefree Guardian tends to invade this space, much to the lone Guardian's irritation, they both know the kendo hall is the latter's domain.

On the opposite side of the kendo hall, technical facility, and library is the boxing hall, where the outspoken Guardian dedicates himself to extreme training, compelling his subordinates under his care to join. Just two yards away from the boxing hall, you'll find an arcade area where the youngest of the six Guardians enjoys video games and candy. The genius Guardian isn't particularly pleased about it, but it's a popular hangout for other subordinates during their free time.

Lastly, there's a theater building, also located two yards away. Few venture near it, except the Head and his Guardians, as a certain eccentric Guardian spends much of his time there with his peculiar friends and his unusual replacement for a girl. However, he often compels subordinates to perform for his entertainment, displaying a degree of cruelty and selfishness.

At the heart of the estate, a refreshing and inviting fountain graces the landscape, enhancing the appearance of the mansion standing before it. The mansion itself is quite sizable, spanning three floors in height and width.

The first floor houses the dining area, living room, and the office of the Family's Head, all positioned at the forefront of the mansion. The layout continues with the kitchen and a staircase that either descends to the basement or ascends to the second floor, depending on the Head's directives.

The second floor features the library, frequently used by the Head, as well as by the two Guardians with unparalleled loyalty. It also accommodates four bedrooms for the other Guardians, and a conference room where only the Head and the Guardians gather for their daily status reports.

On the third floor, there are another five rooms, including the Master bedroom of the Head. Additionally, a bar is situated there, thoughtfully built by the Head specifically for his Guardians' enjoyment.

Certainly, let's delve into the Family meeting. The members have assembled in the conference room, all gathered at the Head's summons. The air is tense with anticipation as they await the proceedings.

Inside the Conference Room of the Mansion..

Gokudera Hayato, the silver-haired, hot-tempered genius bomber and self-proclaimed right-hand man, wearing the Vongola's Storm Guardian ring, growled, "Hey, Baseball nut, stop pestering Jyuudaime and go back to your seat already." His fierce demeanor matched his reputation as Hurricane Bomb Hayato, and he always had Uri, his animal box weapon, by his side, which had been transformed into a ring along with the other animal box weapons of the Guardians and the enigmatic "HEAD," whom he affectionately referred to as "Jyuudaime" since the day the Head saved him. [A/N: For the details of how the Head saved Gokudera, you can refer to the anime or read more about it.]

Yamamoto Takeshi, the carefree, happy-go-lucky baseball-playing swordsman, replied, "Maa, maa, Gokudera. I'm just asking Tsuna if he'll approve of my request to go back to Japan for a month's visit with my pops to see how he and the others are doing." He wore a ring with a symbol carved differently from Gokudera's, representing the Vongola's Rain Guardian. Yamamoto's ring adorned his middle finger on his right hand, alongside his animal rings named Jirou and Kojiro. He was renowned as one of the Vongola Family's most formidable swordsmen.

"I can't deny that it's nice to visit Japan once in a while and see how Tenth's mother and the others are doing, but... there's no need to bring it up when the meeting's about to start, yakyu baka," Gokudera retorted. He promptly dragged Yamamoto back to his seat, just a couple of inches away from Ryohei.

"HE'S JUST TRYING TO TALK TO SAWADA, OCTOPUS-HEAD, and I hope Sawada will approve your request TO THE EXTREME because I'm also kind of wondering if I can visit Kyoko too and a certain someone," said Ryohei, the always loudmouthed, pumped-up passionate champion boxer. He was renowned worldwide for his boxing achievements and wore a ring on his right hand, symbolizing the Vongola's Sun Guardian, along with his animal ring named Garyuu.

"SHUT UP, LAWN HEAD. I'm not referring to you, so shut your annoying mouth," Gokudera spat, returning to his seat, his temper escalating rapidly.

"WHAT'S THAT? I'M JUST GIVING MY OPINION. OR SHOULD I JUST GIVE YOU AN EXTREME PUNCH," Ryohei shot back, rising to his feet and advancing towards Gokudera with his fist clenched, ready for a brawl.

"TRY ME," Gokudera growled, extending his fist and refusing to back down from the challenge the boxer had recklessly thrown down.

"I SURE AM GOING TO BEAT YOU TO THE EXTREME," Ryohei growled in response, attempting to land a punch, which Yamamoto managed to restrain with a smile on his face.

"Gyahahaha...I'm sure Lawn Head will beat Bakudera to a pulp. I, Lambo-sama, will personally assure it," the quarrel was abruptly interrupted by the obnoxious, loudmouthed 10-year-old named Lambo. He originally hails from the Bovino Family but is currently wearing the ring of the Vongola's Lightning Guardian. Lambo also wears his own animal ring and is known as the youngest guardian of the Tenth Generation Vongola Family.

Gokudera, clearly irritated, couldn't resist pinching the kid's cheek much harder than you would with an average child, causing Lambo to cry as he interrupted their ongoing argument.

Yamamoto tried to mediate, saying, "Maa, maa, everyone, let's get along. I'm sure Tsuna doesn't want us to fight each other, and I know you don't want that certain someone to 'bite you to death.'" He still held the irate Ryohei back from attacking the bomber, while Yamamoto cast a wry glance at the aloof, black-haired Prefect, Hibari Kyoya. Known as the Mafia society's strongest Vongola Guardian of the Tenth Generation Vongola Family, he sat just inches away from Tsuna, wearing the Vongola's Cloud Guardian ring, and also possessed his own animal ring. Hibari had even established the organization known as the Foundation, which initially consisted mostly of the Disciplinary Committee members when he was in Middle School in Namimori, with his staff and workers forcefully persuaded to join him.

Understanding Yamamoto's intentions, Gokudera reluctantly agreed, saying, "Alright, I'll settle this for now. Besides, I don't want Jyuudaime to be disappointed in me. As his right-hand man, I have to be the most responsible among us. But I still don't like the fact that that bastard Hibari was appointed as Jyuudaime's left-hand man and has to always be around Jyuudaime like me." He carelessly tossed Lambo aside and shot a glare at Hibari, who was paying attention to their conversation despite his indifference.

Hibari replied with his usual disdain, "Whatever, Herbivore. Just keep your mouth shut and try to refrain from making any trouble before I bite you to death, and before Omnivore here starts to get worried about you, useless people." Hibari's words didn't sit well with Gokudera, who reacted negatively.

Lambo cried out as he collided hard with the wall, and Chrome swiftly picked him up before returning to her seat beside Mukuro. Mukuro seemed amused, watching his fellow Guardians argue pointlessly.

"Gotta...stay...calm...wAAaaahhH..." Lambo whimpered.

Gokudera eventually spoke up, "Che, just so you know, everything I do is for Jyuudaime," as he took his seat, still glaring at Hibari, who continued to ignore him.

"Kufufufu, the loyal doggy finally stops barking, eh?" Mukuro chimed in, his mismatched eyes gleaming with amusement. Known for his extraordinary illusion abilities and his past as an ex-convict of Vendicare Prison, Mukuro reluctantly wore the Vongola's Mist Guardian ring. He sat just inches away from Chrome Dokuro, a violet-haired eye-patch girl who was the second irreplaceable illusionist among the Vongola Guardians. Chrome held Lambo in a comforting, sisterly hug, her presence not as a Guardian, but rather at the behest of the Boss. Her primary purpose was to accompany Mukuro and deter him from mischief. Another reason was to make up for the limited time the two had spent together during their battle with Byakuran.

"Mukuro-sama," Chrome spoke in a quiet voice, soothing Lambo with a lollipop. Even in her hushed tone, Mukuro heard her loud and clear, paying no mind to the bomber's glares. [A/N: Note that Chrome has her own animal ring named after Mukuro.]

"What is it, dear Chrome?" Mukuro inquired, noticing her gaze directed toward their BOSS. He continued in an amused tone, "Kufufu, you lot are so noisy that even Tsunayoshi-kun can't tell us what today's meeting is all about." Mukuro observed Tsuna's usual expression but sensed an underlying impatience in the aura he emitted, indicating that his patience was wearing thin while he waited for his Guardians to cease their rambling.

Hibari also detected Tsuna's growing impatience, realizing that Mukuro wasn't simply stirring up trouble for fun. He decided to take charge and shouted, "You worthless Herbivores! Stop your yapping and listen to what Omnivore was about to say, or I'll bite each of you to death." His words instantly commanded the group's attention, as they had no desire to end up in the Vongola's Medical Facility, or as it was colloquially known, the hospital.

"Thanks, I guess, Kyoya, but you didn't have to call them worthless," the individual seated in front of them remarked in a composed, kind voice. This person exuded an aura of authority, calm confidence, and sagacious wisdom. He was known as the 'HEAD,' Jyuudaime, or simply the BOSS, Sawada Tsunayoshi, recognized as the Tenth Generation Mafia Boss of the formidable and feared Vongola Family. Tsuna wore the ring that symbolized his position and a matching animal ring he named Natsu.

Tsuna sat in front of his laptop and projector, appearing as the composed and confident leader he had become. Despite his transformation from the clumsy, uncertain young man he once was, he remained the same kind brunette that everyone had always known. His journey had taken him from a state of perpetual disarray and clumsiness to his current role as the most feared, dangerous, wise, and calm Mafia Boss, all while retaining his enduring kindness and compassion.

With the details set aside, Tsuna focused on the task at hand. He sat before his guardians with confidence, fully aware that they would likely approve of the information he was about to share, especially since some of them had already made requests for it. Tsuna surveyed their expectant faces, even the prefect sitting right beside him, their expressions tinged with suspense. Despite Hibari's apparent disinterest, Tsuna could sense that there was more to it than met the eye.

Tsuna delicately sipped his freshly brewed ginseng tea and then spoke in an authoritative yet still kind tone, "Some of you may already know this, but over the past five years, as we've managed and protected the family as our duty as the Tenth Generation Vongola Family, we've expanded our influence far beyond the borders of Europe. Our reach has extended into parts of the Middle East, resulting in remarkable prosperity and undeniable strength with each passing year. However, this success came at the cost of leaving our own families in Japan. So... two years ago, I devised a plan and asked Giannini to assist me. He only finished preparing and building it two weeks ago." As he expected, some of them had already begun to speculate about where this was leading, but they kept their thoughts to themselves, eager to hear the rest of the story.

"Now, this plan of mine is connected to what I had originally intended to say to you, so I might as well share it," Tsuna said as he savored his tea. "I requested Giannini to build another base in Japan, similar to this one in Italy but on a smaller scale and with a less intimidating appearance. As your Boss and as your leader, I am informing you that we will be staying in Japan permanently, while at the same time, temporarily." Tsuna's words held a sense of anticipation for what was to come.

Gokudera listened to Tsuna with unwavering loyalty, absorbing every word his Boss uttered. Yet, beneath his dedication, a hint of nervousness lingered. He couldn't deny that he felt slightly apprehensive about the prospect of encountering his older sister, Bianchi, known as the Poison Scorpion in the Mafia. She was currently staying at Tsuna's place, thanks to Reborn's presence as the Sun Arcobaleno guarding Tsuna's mother and other unrelated family members who had chosen to stay.

Mukuro wore an amused expression, already plotting how to assert dominance and make the residents submit to him, willingly or otherwise. He looked forward to the pain and chaos he would undoubtedly inflict, all while keeping his hidden motives well concealed from Chrome, who appeared as innocent as ever.

Hibari, on the other hand, simply grunted when he saw Mukuro's expression. He had already deciphered Mukuro's plans and vowed to thwart them, particularly when it came to protecting Namimori, which he had a duty to do. He intended to divide his time between serving Tsuna and safeguarding Namimori.

Yamamoto, Ryohei, and Lambo were pleased with the news. Yamamoto looked forward to reuniting with his father and helping out at their sushi shop. Ryohei anticipated seeing his little sister again, as well as his parents and someone special. As for Lambo, he was excited to see Ipin and Tsuna's mother, whom he affectionately referred to as his own mother, with Tsuna's blessing.

"But..." Tsuna interjected, interrupting everyone's thoughts, "We have to attend Namimori College as first years, considering that we ceased attending school after completing advanced high school here in Italy and never got the chance to attend college. This was a specific directive from the Ninth, and there are no exceptions except for Lambo, who has to attend Namimori Elementary as a 4th grader. Are there any questions?"

Tsuna noticed Hibari clear his throat and patiently awaited his question. Hibari asked, "Why do we have to attend college, Omnivore? I don't want to waste my time on school when I'm already occupied with my responsibilities as a guardian in this family, not to mention the Foundation." His tone remained indifferent.

"Yeah, Tsuna, why?" Yamamoto asked, his face showing confusion.

Tsuna responded, "It's because if we don't agree to that condition, we won't be allowed to return to Japan. The Ninth made it a requirement." He typed something into his laptop, and then, as he turned on the projector, they all saw tables displaying the Vongola Family's progress over the past few years.

"The Ninth mentioned that even though the family has expanded and prospered in recent years, we haven't yet fully established influence in other countries like Australia, America, and various parts of Asia and the Middle East," Tsuna explained. "So, the Ninth suggests that we pursue business ventures to expand our resources and generate profits for future projects that will likely prove beneficial. In addition to our role in the underground society, we are expected to exert our influence on the world around us. This is the task passed down to us by our predecessors as the Tenth Generation of the Vongola Family." Tsuna switched off the projector and set aside his computer. "Now, does anyone have any further questions?"

"No, Jyuudaime. You have a valid point, and I agree with the idea of getting into business. I've noticed that we lack contacts in China, Russia, and even in Japan, aside from Reborn and my sister being there. I also believe that we should establish a presence in the society around us and demonstrate that our family is not just the strongest but also the most influential among all the families," Gokudera stated, making his position clear. Hibari silently listened throughout the discussion and merely nodded in response.

Mukuro chimed in, "Yes, the loyal doggy does have a point." His tone carried an air of amusement, which earned him a glare from Gokudera. "Becoming well-known not only in the underworld but also in society would be beneficial for the family."

"So, the other reason we have to go back to Japan is because Japan is at the center of our main purpose, isn't it?" Yamamoto asked as he petted his pet Jirou.

"Yeah. To execute our plan effectively, the base I had Giannini build will serve as the main center for our operations in Japan. However, be aware that we also have enemies waiting for us there, and we'll need to confront them to gain control of Japan. But before that happens, we must acquire the knowledge of managing a business. That's why we have to attend college for the well-being of the family and to provide cover for our activities while we're there," Tsuna explained as he poured another cup of tea.

"Okay, I understand now. By attending Namimori College, we'll have an alibi to conceal our connection to a Mafia family, which we are. The drawback is that, by doing so, our enemies won't anticipate our actions when we eventually confront them. We can rule them out right under their noses and deliver a surprise, an extreme final blow. In the end, we will achieve our goal of controlling both the underworld and the upper society," Ryohei articulated, wiping his boxing gloves clean. Gokudera was left in a state of shock, not because of Ryohei's statement, but because, for once, Ryohei had spoken a sentence that made perfect sense.

"Kufufufu, something along those lines," Mukuro replied as he tricked Lambo into eating an illusion-made plate filled with candies and chocolates. In reality, the plate was just a few crumpled pieces of paper, which Lambo failed to notice as he greedily devoured them.

Hibari calmly added, "I won't comment on your previous statement, Omnivore, but we do require additional funds for our ongoing project within my Foundation. It demands a significant amount of resources to be completed, so I can't object to attending Namimori College." His statement left the other guardians looking puzzled, wondering what this project was.

Tsuna chimed in, "Indeed. It does require an abundance of resources to complete that project. But may I ask, Kyoya, how is the construction progressing?" He took another sip of tea as he waited for Hibari's response.

Hibari explained, "I've encountered difficulties in completing it. It's currently on hold due to the lack of sufficient funds and high-quality materials and equipment. It's not as if my subordinates can breathe underwater. So, I'll make use of the machinery that the herbivores from the Technical Facility have recently developed, or even better, I'll order them to devise a solution for humans to breathe underwater, Omnivore." He didn't pay much attention to the curious and suspicious glances from his fellow guardians, but he did refrain from threatening them with a "bite to death" this time.

Tsuna chuckled at Hibari's response and said with a warm smile, "Alright, maybe Shoichi, Giannini, and Spanner can come up with something like that. I'll discuss it with them later."

"Kufufufu, well, well, aren't you both a bit secretive, Tsunayoshi-kun, Skylark-kun?" Mukuro said in a teasing tone, clearly attempting to provoke a reaction from the prefect, as if to hint at their 'project.'

"..." Hibari simply remained silent, ignoring Mukuro's provocation, which left the illusionist slightly miffed as his teasing comment fell on deaf ears.

"I don't want to pry, but what's this project about, Sawada? It's getting me pretty excited, EXTREMELY excited!" Ryohei initially inquired in a calm tone. However, he couldn't contain his enthusiasm and suddenly erupted with a loud exclamation, raising his clenched fists high in the air as if reaching for the sky.

"It's clearly a top-secret matter, so, DON'T BOTHER JYUUDAIME WITH IT, BASEBALL BRAIN!" Following Ryohei's example, Gokudera responded, first speaking calmly and then bursting into an irritated and annoyed tone. He was also irked by the fact that Hibari had been assigned an important project that he had no prior knowledge of until this moment. Nevertheless, he couldn't dispute Tsuna's direct instructions to Hibari, leaving him to redirect his frustration toward the boxer.

The ongoing bickering between the two persisted until Yamamoto intervened, positioning himself between them. In his characteristically easygoing manner, he remarked, "Maa, maa, even if Tsuna doesn't share details about their significant project right now, it's likely that he'll reveal it eventually, especially when a serious situation arises. After all, Tsuna and Hibari-san can't maintain such a secret indefinitely. And don't forget, as Tsuna's guardians, it's our responsibility to be privy to everything related to Tsuna. He understands that as well." Yamamoto's words had a soothing effect, gradually prompting Gokudera and Ryohei to reconsider their stances and acknowledge the merit of Yamamoto's points.

"What Takeshi said is indeed accurate, everyone," Tsuna remarked, maintaining his characteristic calm demeanor. Gokudera huffed in irritation because Yamamoto had made a valid point, yet he eventually nodded in agreement. "In due time, I will share the details of this project with all of you. As Takeshi mentioned, it's our duty, as my guardians, to be informed about everything pertaining to me. Nonetheless, this project has the potential to become a valuable asset for our Family in the generations to come."

With Tsuna's words, the guardians settled down, deciding not to push the discussion further. They each proceeded to express their views on the matter of attending college.

"Anyway, gaining more profits and expanding the family's territory, be it in the underground society or in the upper society through entering college and studying, then I'm in, whatever Jyuudaime's decision about it," Gokudera declared, affectionately stroking Uri's head.

"Hahaha, actually, I kind of like the idea of attending school again," Yamamoto chimed in cheerfully. "We may have a chance to see our old classmates and schoolmates at Namimori College, and I personally want to catch up with my baseball team buddies there." He paid no heed to the glare coming from the bomber.

"I AGREE TO THE EXTREME!" Ryohei shouted passionately, his Garyuu joining him in raising a clenched fist in the air. "Like Yamamoto over there, I can't wait to see my sister and find out how my old boxing club's doing. I'll also try to improve it to the point that even Sawada will join the boxing club with me," he declared as he sat back down, Garyuu returning to a ring.

"I'm also looking forward to seeing my mother and the others. However, I'm not quite as excited as the rest of you," Tsuna admitted. "I have to face that sadistic tutor of mine, and I'm still not considering the idea of joining the boxing club, Ryohei. I'm quite busy with family business and planning the new ventures we're going to undertake." He said this while sitting in a meditative pose with his eyes closed.

"Kufufu, so, even though we have to attend Namimori College, we also have to continue doing missions and managing the family, huh?" Mukuro said in an amused tone.

"That's the condition the Ninth gave me, seeing that he and his guardians already retired and gave us their blessing as their successors. Nevertheless, we still have to follow it because that's the last order the Ninth gave me when he was still in command 4 years ago," Tsuna explained as he retrieved a black folder from under his desk and handed it to Gokudera to read. "I only read the folder 3 years ago."

"Jyuudaime's right," Gokudera confirmed as he read the contents of the folder. "The Ninth did give the order for us to attend school again. It says here,

'Dear Tsunayoshi-kun,

I had foreseen that the family would make tremendous progress. However, I harbored strong doubts about whether you and your guardians would continue your education, particularly after completing the advanced high school curriculum, considering the myriad responsibilities my guardians and I have entrusted to you. For this, I extend my apologies for inadvertently steering you towards the path of discontinuing your studies altogether.

I also surmised that the prospect of enrolling in college might not have occurred to you and your guardians. Thus, I have penned this letter, which may be perceived as a directive, as I hereby issue an order. I command you and your guardians to resume your education as college students. This is a necessary step if our family, under your leadership, intends to exert complete control over the entire European continent, while securing the allegiance of those families that once opposed us.

Nonetheless, this marks my final directive as the Ninth Boss of the Vongola Family, coinciding with today's inheritance ceremony. I must also seek your forgiveness for not conveying this to you until a year later, recognizing your lingering unease regarding your role as the family's leader. Nevertheless, I have come to deem you highly deserving of the role, as I foresee you leading our family to new heights in the near future. You have confronted and triumphed over formidable adversaries that posed grave threats to our family, a feat I deeply appreciate. Your potential was evident, and even my trusted hitman, Reborn, discerned your worthiness prior to this. Despite the considerable trials you have faced, you have remained the same, showing acceptance and understanding of the family's imperfections, like a true Sky.

Tsunayoshi-kun, you have been performing exceptionally well, and I anticipate that you and your guardians will honor this request, my final order as the Ninth. To the guardians, please continue to protect your Boss vigilantly. However, it is worth reminding you that, despite our family's affiliation with the Mafia, it should not deter you from pursuing your individual aspirations, just as you did during your time in middle school. I am certain that Tsunayoshi-kun will not object to you pursuing your true desires.

I conclude this letter with the expectation that you will adhere to it. My guardians and I have already retired, reassured by the knowledge that the family is in capable hands. Nevertheless, should you ever require guidance or counsel, please do not hesitate to seek our advice, as your predecessors. May our ancestors guide you as you lead our family to greater heights.

With warm regards,

Timoteo

Ninth Generation Boss of the Vongola Family" Gokudera finally spoke as he allowed the others to catch a glimpse of the letter bearing the Ninth's insignia.

The others displayed a range of reactions, from doubts and reluctance to indifference. Tsuna carefully observed their expressions and then addressed them, "Now then, after reading the letter the Ninth sent me, do any of you still oppose his decision or have second thoughts about us entering College?" he inquired. Lambo, however, raised his arms with a disapproving look on his face.

"I really don't like going to school, Tsuna-nii," he complained, unwrapping another grape-flavored lollipop and licking it slowly. "I do want to see Maman and Ipin again, but I don't want to enter some silly school full of unmannered and wimpy non-mafia-related kids."

"SHUT YOUR TRAP, AHOUSHI," Gokudera growled in irritation, glaring at the 10-year-old Lambo. "Look who's talking crap about those kids, even though the only difference that will separate you from them is the fact that you grew up in a Mafia Family here in Italy. That's not even worth mentioning because they're not really a threat."

"Maa, maa, Gokudera," Yamamoto chimed in thoughtlessly, "But now that you mention it, you two are just the same because you too grew up in a big Mafia Family that's also not worth mentioning, and your attitude still sucks and doesn't even really differentiate you from kids our age. Hahaha."

"WHY YOU, YAKYU-BAKA!" Gokudera yelled, throwing his always-trusty dynamite in Yamamoto's direction. Mukuro quickly grabbed it and tossed it out the window, where it exploded.

"Kufufufu...what a careless loyal doggy," Mukuro shamelessly taunted Gokudera, who remained frozen in his spot.

"You call yourself Omnivore's right-hand man? I might as well take it from you if you carelessly and thoughtlessly threw your worthless little weapon inside the mansion," Hibari added, sipping his green tea served by one of their maids. "That temper of yours is always the problem. It might even put Omnivore's life in danger someday."

As soon as Gokudera heard that comment from Hibari, he yelled in anger and, forgetting the still-smiling Yamamoto, charged at Hibari with a clenched fist, igniting another quarrel and fight.

"If no more questions, start packing now because tomorrow, we head to Japan," Tsuna said, but his words fell on deaf ears as chaos erupted among his guardians. Mukuro irritated Lambo with his illusions, while Chrome tried to mediate. Hibari and Gokudera engaged in a heated fight, and Yamamoto and Ryohei seemed to be enjoying the spectacle.

Sighing in resignation, Tsuna realized he wouldn't get their attention and decided to leave the conference room. As he headed to his quarters, he contemplated whether his guardians would be okay without his presence.

'For once, I'm going to let them be,' he thought as he settled into his king-sized bed.

'I wonder what will happen tomorrow,' he mused before sleep overtook him.
