Chapter Six
Loving Each Other: Intimate Time (in the Bath)
Making his way back over to bed shortly after going to the washroom and getting them both some water, Matt smirked as he looked at his beautiful wife as she sat laid down in bed with nothing but the little sheet on top of her. And they were not just on top of her, but she was also holding them tight to her body in a way that showed off all of her curves; and let's just say that it was a real turn on. It was so sexy, and that was precisely why Gabby was holding the covers on top of her body the way she was. She knew it would turn Matt on, and she wants her husband to be turned on and hormonal when he's back in bed with her; as she wants to have him all over her, as they make love to each other for the first time in a while, they both do. But rather than doing it in the pool, they'll be making love to each other in the comfort of the hotel bed. Sure, it wasn't their (permanent) bed, but it's a bed. And that's all that matters at the end of the day: they're going to be making love to each other in bed, which is what Gabby wants to do with her husband today.
She wants to take things nice and slow with Matt, who clearly wants to make love to her as well based on the way that he was admiring her body; the way his eyes were scanning her body through the sheets. "Last time I checked, we agreed that we were going to take a breather." Gabby smirked, agreeing with Matt as he reminded her that they agreed to take a breather; however, he seems to be mistaken as to what type of breather she wants to take. He seems to think that she wants to take a breather in general, while not doing anything for a while; but if he thought that, then he's mistaken. After all, that's the last thing that she wants, when she'd rather have him. "Yeah, from those conversations. I didn't think that you meant from having fun with each other." Matt smirked when Gabby said that, as he was quite happy that was how she felt as that was precisely what he was thinking about too. He wants to take her in his arms and make love to her, something which he's missed doing for the longest time; so much so, he's addicted to sex right now.
He wants to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves, as he takes her in his arms and shows her just how much he loves her; in the process, he's going to show her how he feels by giving her precisely what he wants for the rest of his life: her. She's the only woman he wants to make love to for the rest of their lives, because he loves her more than anything in the entire world. And even though they just got back together, they've yet to make love to each other (in bed). Yes, they've made love to each other in the pool. But that's different. You can't compare the feeling of making love to your wife in bed to making love to her in the pool. And that's why Matt was more than ready and willing to make love to his wife. But first, maybe they should order some food. "I swear, we've already done a lot today. And I want to take you in my arms, I really do. But, are you sure that you don't want to get some supper and get some more energy in you ahead of the both of us having sex?" Gabby smirked as she looked at the man of her dreams.
After all, she's already taken care of that. "It's only 4:30 and I ordered us a pizza to get here at 6:30. That means that we have two hours to have each other before the food gets here. Then, we can just wear something comfortable. Hell, maybe we can even take a nice bath together." Matt smirked as Gabby suggested that they take a bath with each other, as that was something which he was very interested in. "I love the sound of that. But first, we both agreed that we're going something else first." Gabby smirked, agreeing with the man she loves (more than anything in the entire world) as he "reminded" her that they have plans to do something else first; while at the same time, she teased him. "Oh, did we now?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him that (rhetorical) question, because they both already know what they're going to be doing; they're going to take things nice and slow with each other, here in the comfort of their bed. He wants to take his wife in his arms (in bed) for the first time in a while, because he missed her a lot.
And right now, it's also what they need to do: they need to have fun with each other, which involves intimate time. "God, I'm so glad that we're back together." Gabby agreed with her husband when he told her that he's glad that they're back together, as she felt the same way. "Me too baby. However, you want to know what's going to make me even happier?" Smirking as he set their waters down on Gabby's side table, Matt proceeded to sit down on the edge of their bed and then placed his hand on her (naked) body on top of the covers. "When my husband gets in bed with me so that we can take things nice and slow with each other." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smirking as he moved his hands to her neck as he bent down and kissed her softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, as she loves him too; especially as he bent down and left a soft kiss on the side of her neck. "Damn, that feels nice." Matt agreed with Gabby, turning his head to kiss her once more, which is precisely what she wants.
She wants Matt to take thing slow with her, which is why she wants him to kiss her lips. The way he kisses her lips truly is paradise, and exactly what she wants. Well, that, and for Matt to get in bed with her, which is precisely what he's doing, as he got up and opened the covers that Gabby was holding against her body. Climbing into bed with his wife, Matt smirked as he bent down and kissed her, before also bending down and kissing her neck as a way to tease her; after all, that's what she wants right now. She wants to feel the man of her dreams kiss her all over her body. While, at the same time, she also wants to feel his lips on hers, which is why she just turned his head and got him to bend down and kiss her softly. "There baby." Matt agreed with his wife, kissing her lips softly as he laid down next to her, while also running his hand down her gorgeous body and moving it to her leg. Rubbing it, he smirked as he went to grab her underwear for her. "Now?" Gabby agreed. "Now." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling as he did as he was told.
He took off his wife's underwear, slipping them down her body under the covers before getting out of the covers again so that he can get himself undressed (as he also threw her underwear into the hamper). However, Gabby was not interested in letting her husband get undressed by himself. "Come here, let me help." Matt smirked, agreeing with Gabby as he got close to the woman of his dreams; while she sat up and grabbed the waistband of his boxers. Tugging them down, Gabby smiled as she felt Matt place his hand on the side of her neck while slipping them down. After which, she felt Matt get close to her and bend down to kiss her softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with her husband as he mentioned that he loves her, as she loves him too; especially when he's naked (like he is, now that his boxers are on the ground). "So sexy." Matt smirked, well aware of just what Gabby's talking about. She's talking about how he's naked. She always finds that sexy, due to the fact that it means that they're going to have fun with each other in bed.
And that's precisely where Matt was now, he was in bed with his wife as he laid down next to her; while also tugging the covers on top of the both of them, which is precisely what Gabby wanted him to do. She wanted him to join her in bed, close the covers on top of them, and she wants him to make love to her; which is precisely what Matt is going to do now, as he placed his hand on her neck and leaned over to kiss her softly. And let's just say that the feeling of Matt's soft lips on hers is pure paradise, simply due to the fact that it's precisely what they both want right now. Well, that; and Gabby also wants an answer to a question she has for her husband. "Matt, I need to ask you a question." Matt agreed with Gabby as he stared into her gorgeous eyes. "What is it baby?" Gabby then took a breath, while also staring into his eyes. "Matt, I'm not saying that it's going to happen. But, I need to know. I know this sounds crazy but…what would happen if I got pregnant? I know, I can't think this way right before we have sex, but…"
Placing his hand on the side of Gabby's face once more, Matt bent down and kissed the woman he loves to get her to calm down, while also leaning his forehead against hers as he held her close. "You do, because it's a possibility." Gabby looked down. "Matt, I saw the emotions in your eyes. I saw how scared you were, and I hate that. I hate seeing that. I love you too much to make you go through that if you don't want to. Baby, I want you so bad…but I'm not on the pill. I haven't taken it because I haven't needed to. So…" Taking a breath of his own, Matt placed his hand on the side of her face as he held her close with the hopes of calming Gabby down. After all, he needs a minute to think. And right now, he also wants her really bad; but what she said is also true, there is a real chance that she could get pregnant. But right now, it's all hypothetical; yet, at the same time, Matt just feels something will be different. They're still together (against all odds), and they're here with each other; holding each other close, rather than divorced and miles apart.
And that's why he wants this. "I'm not sure Gabby, I'm really not. But, I don't want to lose you again. I don't want to lose you ever again, and that means I need to be your husband for the rest of your life; and I mean that. I've almost lost you baby, and I'm scared." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, while also grabbing the back of his head as she brought his body down to hers. "Matt, are you scared because I might be stressed out? Is that what you're worried about?" Matt took a breath, before sighing as he was. He was worried about that. "The doctor did say that stress could do a lot of damage." Gabby agreed with her loving husband when he told her that. "Yeah, I know that. But Matt, we've both agreed this is our second chance; I know you're scared, and I just agreed but…" Matt sighed. "You're always going to want to have the chance." Gabby agreed. "Matt, we agreed to talk about that after the other topic. And it's kind of relevant. I hate to say this." Matt agreed with his wife, while also realizing that they're both naked right now.
Placing his hand on Gabby's side, Matt looked down at her; after which, he bent down and kissed her softly. "Gabby, I love you and I want to make you happy. I know you, and I know that you're never going to be happy if we don't at least try for a baby. So, let's try okay? But, we'll explore all our options too." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that. "I just have one condition." Gabby agreed. "Name it." Matt sighed. "If at any point during your hypothetical pregnancy you're rushed to the hospital and I have to make a choice, I'm going to choose you ahead of our baby. If I need to save a life, then I'm going to save yours. And you need to promise me that you're not going to get mad at me. That's the only way that I'm going to be okay with this. If I have a choice to save you or our baby, then I'm choosing you; and you have to live with that, without hating me. Because I can deal with loosing another baby as there's other ways to have children with you, but there's no way I can do this without you." Gabby just stared into Matt's eyes, nodding.
After all, she could just see in Matt's eyes how serious about this he was. How he was determined to make sure that he has her in his life for the rest of their life, even if that means that he needs to loose the chance to be a father. "Matt, I know that's hard for you to say considering you've always wanted to be a father. And for you to give up being a father to save me is something that I will forever be grateful for. So, I can agree to those terms." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, smiling as he bent down and kissed her softly. "Good, because it's a huge turn on that you're doing this for me. You risking your life to make me a dad is a huge turn on." Gabby smiled as she placed her hands on Matt's face. "Oh, is it now?" Matt agreed with Gabby as he kissed her. "Matt, I love you. I love you so much, more than I can ever express." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that he loves her. "And that's why we're doing this, because you're willing to do this, because you want to risk your life for me. That's the most romantic thing I've ever heard."
Gabby smirked when Matt told her that, while also leaning up and kissing her husband softly. Meanwhile, Matt took things nice and slow with his gorgeous wife. "Matt, I love you and I want to do this for you. Matt, make love to me and give us what we both want." Matt agreed with Gabby, smirking as he did as he was told. He bent down and started to make love to the woman of his dreams, which is precisely what she wanted him to do. She wanted him to make love to her as they took things nice and slow with each other. And honestly, Matt just loved what they were doing right now. He's missed her too much for them to not make love right now. This is perfect, and precisely what he always wants to do with Gabby. He just wants to make love to Gabby, his wife, the woman of his dreams; and the woman he knows love him more than her own life. That's just something that he'll never find in another woman. And that makes Matt feel very lucky. He feels lucky to have a wife who is so selfless. And god, he just loves her so much.
Matt's POV: The feeling of Gabby underneath me was incredible, especially when it came to how our bodies were moving in sync with each other; I'm truly blessed right now, as I am so glad to have her back in my arms. This truly is a dream come true, and I'm sure that the two of us are going to make it through this for our entire lives. I've missed her so much, and nobody will ever be able to argue with that. And right now, I was so happy as I ran my hand up and down her leg; the leg which was wrapped around mine and revealed by the sheets. Meanwhile, I also stared into those gorgeous eyes of hers that made me smile each and every time I stared into them; and Gabby knew it, as there's just something about the way she's smiling right now that makes me want her all the time. And I have no doubt in my mind that Gabby is well aware of that was we both just held each other close, here in this cozy bed. This bed where we were currently all cuddled up to one another, as we explored each other's naked bodies with our hands.
Because, while I was stroking her leg with my thumb, Gabby was running her hand down my chest, while also smiling at me as we held each other close in bed. God, I truly feel like this is the closest we've ever been with each other, both physically and emotionally, in months. And I love that. Just the feeling of my beautiful wife in my arms makes me smile day and night, and it's what I want for the rest of my life. I want to hold Gabby close to me, I want to make her happy, and I know that us having a baby of our own (with her getting pregnant) will do just that. It'll make her smile so much, that she'll want to make love to me more often, which just sounds like paradise, as I love making love to Gabby. She's truly the best wife (and lover) in the entire world, and I'm so proud of the fact that she's my wife. There's nothing more I want in life than for her to be my wife, and there's nothing else I want to do right now other than just hold her in my arms right now as we took it nice and easy with each other. And I can just tell that Gabby wants to same right now.
She wants to cuddle up to me in bed, as we held each other close in silence. After all, we've barely said anything to each other since we finished making love to each other maybe 10 (or so) minutes ago. Yet, I have this reason to believe that this isn't going to be our last time making love to each other today; especially since Gabby is going to want to celebrate the fact that I'm open to getting her pregnant now. And sure, you might call me an idiot for doing that; but I just want to save my marriage, which is the real reason I feel like I need to do it. I want to same the marriage I have with the woman I love. I want to be with Gabby for the rest of my life, especially as we hold each other close like we are right now. And that's precisely why I had my hand on her leg, to keep her extremely close to me; but now, I have my hand on top of hers (which is on my chest) as I stroked it on my thumb. At the same time, I smiled as she's extremely beautiful; something I showed her (along with telling her that I love her) by kissing her forehead.
After which, I smirked due to the fact that this is absolutely perfect. There's nothing more I want to do right now other than hold this gorgeous woman, whom I'm truly blessed and honored to call my wife, in my arms. Yet, at the same time, I also have this feeling that Gabby wants to talk; something I can tell by the way she's stroking my chest right now…and she's also getting ready quiet. Normally, one of us would've said something by now; but we haven't, as we're still both being quiet with each other. But, that's going to change as I decided to tug her against my chest some more; while also tugging the little sheets on top of the both of us and moving my hand to the back of her head, that way we could stare into each other's eyes. After all, that's what I want to do; I want to stare into Gabby's eyes as we held each other close, along with her lips on mine. And the moment I got close to Gabby, that's what I ended up getting; as she leaned in the moment we were close to each other, which I was so glad she did as I love the feeling of her sweet lips on mine.
Just the way we kiss each other is always perfect, especially after missing her for so long; which is why I'm so glad that we just made passionate love with each other, something we both wanted to do as I moved my hand to her back once more; after which, I stroked it with my thumb while smiling at my beautiful wife. After all, I could clearly see that she was happy right now, happy that we're here with each other; as am I, as this is all I want right now. I want to hold her close to me as we rest with each other. "I love you." Smiling as I told her that I love her, Gabby leaned in and kissed me softly. "I love you too Matt, and I just loved that so much. It was perfect." I agreed with Gabby as I moved my hand to her back and stroked it with my thumb once more; while she placed her hand on my chest and smiled as she stared into my eyes. Did I already mention how much I love the feeling of us holding each other close? Well, I'll say it again because of how much I love it; especially since this is exactly what I want. Well, this, and the feeling of her lips on mine.
Which is precisely why I just leaned in and kissed the woman I love softly, as I continued to hold Gabby close to me; while she stroked my chest with her thumbs and kissed me exactly how I want her to kiss me, nice and slowly. I want her to take it easy with me, I want us to take it easy with each other; and in the process, I want us to show each other that we love each other. And that's precisely what we're in the midst of doing right now, showing each other just how much we love each other. And it was so hot, while also being exactly what I wanted and needed from my girl at the moment. I want her to make love to me as we just relax in bed. Now, we're going to just take it easy; while also talking to each other, as I knew that Gabby has a lot on her mind…especially after the 180 that I just told her about. That was a lot to dump on her, and I know for a fact that she's going to want to talk to me about it. But first, I took a breath as I knew it was a topic that also came with a lot of emotions. But now, I was ready to ask her the question I needed to ask her.
I needed to ask her: "Want to talk about it, if you get pregnant?" Looking up at me, Gabby bit her lip. "Maybe first, we can get in the bath? I think that it's time for us to change our location and just take it easy somewhere else. Plus, I think I want to get dressed after. Sorry, but I think you've had enough sex." I laughed, agreeing with Gabby as she said that. Afterwards, I turned my head and kissed her forehead softly. "Ok. I'll take out some of my sweats for after. Or, do you just want me in boxers?" Gabby smirked. "Boxers please. Right now, I am going to get in the bed." Getting up, Gabby grabbed her towel that she had on the hook next to her back; while I stayed in bed and just took at the woman I love, the woman I'm glad came home. "Thanks for coming home." Turning around to face me as she did up her towel, Gabby smiled at me as she walked around out bed; after which, she walked up to me and put her hand out for me to grab. After which, I grabbed it and rubbed it. "I'm glad that I came home. I missed you." I agreed, smiling at my girl.
After which, Gabby leaned over me and placed her hand on the side of my face; while also kissing me softly, as I placed my hand on her arm and rubbed it as I took things nice and slow with the woman of my dreams. That was, until I pulled away. "Listen, how about you go start the bath for the both of us, okay? I'll be right in." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, before walking over to the bath that was in the corner of our room. "Yeah, not that far." I snickered as I heard Gabby say that, while getting up and going to grab my towel. After which, I wrapped it around my waist so that I could make my way over to her at the bath. God, I can't wait; I can't wait to get in the bath with Gabby, as it's precisely what we both want and need right now. We need to take it easy with each other. Oh, and I need to run my hands all over that nice body of hers some more when we're back in bed. God, just thinking about that turns me on; especially since I missed her so much, which is precisely why I am so glad we came here to Sybaris Frankfort to get romantic.
To be romantic with each other, while just wearing my boxers (and her wearing her sexy lingerie); which is precisely what I just grabbed another pair of from my suitcase. I grabbed another pair of boxers, before carrying it towards the end of our bed so that I can set it down. After which, I walked up behind Gabby and smiled as I wrapped my arms around her waist the moment I was close to her; and damn did Gabby love that feeling, especially when I kissed her shoulder. And just how did I know that she liked it? Well, it was due to the fact that she moaned when I did that. I swear, I am so addicted to holding her close; but that may be due to the fact that we're still freshly reunited, which might be worrying Gabby…as that's something I could hear in her voice as she spoke to me. "Matt?" Looking at Gabby, I smiled. "Yeah baby?" Turning around in my arms, Gabby looked at me. "Can we talk about what you said?" Confused, I looked at the woman of my dreams as I wasn't entirely sure what she was referring to at the moment.
After all, what exactly did I say? "What are you talking about baby?" Gabby sighed. "I mean, how you said that now you want to…" And that was when it hit me. She wanted to talk about how I was now open to the idea of her getting pregnant. "You want to talk about how I changed my mind?" Gabby nodded, as that's precisely what she wanted to talk about. "Let's get in the bath first." I agreed with Gabby, more than ready to get in the bath with her; but first, a kiss to make sure that she knew that everything was going to be okay. And that all started with me stepping close to her and putting my hands on her hips, before kissing her softly as she also placed her hands on my chest. "God, I love you." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, while also stepping close to me. "I love you too Matt, and I'm just worried. I mean, this is a huge change for you." I agreed with Gabby, while also letting her go so that I could get in the bath for her; after all, that's precisely what we needed to do with each other right now. So, I let her go and went to take off my towel.
After all, that's precisely what I need to do if I want to get in the bath and cuddle up to my wife. "Here, let's get in the bath; we can cuddle and take it easy with each other, then we can talk." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, smiling at me as I proceeded to step into the bath; while I got in and then sat down as I looked up at my gorgeous wife. "Damn, you are so gorgeous." Gabby blushed as I said that, agreeing with me before leaning over me and kissing me softly. "And you are very handsome, and I love you." I agreed with Gabby, especially since I love her too. I love her more than anything, which is why I'm here for her. "Here, how about you take off that towel and then join me?" I said, while sitting down in the bath; however, Gabby seemed to be nervous as I did that. But, she still did what she needed to do so that she could get in the bath with me. She took off her towel, setting it down with mine; after which, she climbed into the bath and stared at me. Placing her hands on my face, she leaned in and kissed me before laying down in my arms.
And let's just say that this is very comfortable. However, I hoped it would be more relaxing; but, it clearly wasn't based on the way Gabby was cuddling up to me and holding me close. God, I could just feel the tension as I ran my hand up her back and pressed my lips to her forehead. "Hey, baby, take a breath and look up at me." Gabby agreed with me, looking up at me as she also laid down on my chest and got really comfortable. After which, I bent down and kiss her once more. "Sorry for being so tense right now." I agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that she was nervous. "Hey, I get that. This is just a huge change and it's probably really fast for you." Gabby agreed with me, as that's precisely how she's feeling right now. "Yeah, sorry." I shook my head, as she had nothing to be sorry about. "Hey, you have nothing to be sorry about. You're scared as we're just figuring this all out. Heck, we're still figuring out our marriage out again; and then we're already talking about a baby. It's fast, and maybe a bit too fast for you I guess." Gabby sighed.
And I already knew why she sighed. It was because she was the one that really wants to have a baby. "I shouldn't be though, as I'm the one who wants to have a baby; who's always wanted to have a baby for months." I agreed with Gabby, while pressing my lips to her forehead. "I know, but please don't feel guilty that you responded that way. Listen, let's just take a minute to breathe. You want a massage or anything? I know, we've rushed things all day. Maybe we've just gone too fast and…I know." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, while rubbing my chest and bending down to kiss it softly. "Let's just take a bath and relax." I nodded, as this is exactly what we need to do right now; we need to take a bath, as it'll help us relax. And for me, it's already doing wonders as I pressed my lips to her forehead. "Gabby, can I at least apologize for scaring you? That was never my intention." Gabby agreed with me, smiling as she turned to look up at me. "I know baby, I promise. Now, let's just enjoy this as we hold each other in the bath."
The water was nice and warm as the couple sat in the bath together, with Gabby just cuddling up to Matt's muscular chest with her eyes closed; in the process, it allowed her mind to shut off for a while as she held Matt close to her with her arms around him. Meanwhile, Matt had his hand on her arm and just smirked as he stroked it with his thumb as a way to make sure that he and Gabby enjoyed this time with each other; time that Gabby found extremely romantic, due to the fact that he was the one who drew her a very romantic bath. And even better, he made sure to put some nice scents in it that just make her very comfortable; something that truly made her appreciate just how much Matt does for her, how much he loves her. And what helped her relax even more, was the feeling of Matt's hand on her body as he rubbed her back and just concentrated on washing her, while she did the same. And even though they were in the bath, she still found a way to do it. And it was perfect, as she was touching her husband.
However, she was also thinking, thinking about how fast they're doing this. How fast the two of them are getting back together and everything. I mean, they are going pretty fast and acting like nothing ever happened. Not that Gabby's complaining, but she can't help but wonder if that worries Matt. I mean, it's just their first day back together; and they're acting like she never left. And that's what's worry her. The fact that they're just jumping right back into it and conquering it all right away. I mean, not that she didn't want to have Matt's hands all over her once more; rather, it was the opposite. This is precisely what she wants. She wants to have Matt's hands all over her body. This is exactly what she wants, as they love each other and try and get back into a routine; that's what they need to do, and they need to do it together. However, she's just worried how fast is too fast. I mean, is Matt not worried about that? Or, is he doing this because he doesn't want her to feel like something's changed in their marriage? I mean, obviously something has.
She's no longer the same woman compared to when she first left Chicago in May, and then in September. Rather, she has a different outlook on life; new experiences that she's had without him. She's seen how impoverished Puerto Rico is, and just how unfortunate they are compared to them. And god, just these thoughts are hard to keep to herself, which is the last thing that she needs to do, as it may make Matt think that she's hiding things from him again (which she is, technically). God, hiding stuff like what she was doing with Severide; now, that was a bad more, and she understands why it hurt him. That makes total sense, and she truly feels horrible for having did that to him. And if she had the ability to go back, then she would've done it with Matt instead; maybe then, they wouldn't be in this position. In a position where they have to work on their marriage with the hopes of them finding their way back to each other. But that's exactly what they're doing right now, trying to find their way back to each other; while also being intimate.
And what if they do end up pregnant, and they don't work out? Then again, they'll always be friends. But raising a baby as divorced parents is going to he hard, especially since she's going to be stuck in Chicago; or, what if she wants to go back. She can't steal the baby away from Matt, the baby he's always wanted. God, she just has so much on her mind, so much that she wanted to talk about; and that was something that Matt could clearly see as he ran his hand down her back and pressed his lips to her forehead as a way to get his wife to relax (as that's what she's supposed to do right now as they cuddled in the bath. "Babe, you need to take it easy and relax. That's why we got in the bath, remember?" Looking up at her husband, Gabby nodded and just smiled; while Matt bent down and kissed her softly, before taking things nice and slow with her. Something she was doing as well, as she took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. God, just kissing him reminds her of how much she wants to be married to him right now.
Matt knows her better than anybody in the entire world, that she feels like an idiot now that they're back together for even considering divorcing him. "God, I feel like an idiot for even thinking about divorcing you." Matt agreed with Gabby, while feeling her lay her head down on his chest once more; running his hand up and down her back, he soon started to kiss her forehead once more. "I'm glad you realize that, which means that you need to cancel the divorce and stay with me." Gabby agreed, as that's precisely what she plans on doing. "That's the plan already." Matt smiled, well aware that was the case; while also stroking her back with his thumb, with the hopes of getting his wife to talk to him. "You have something on your mind?" Gabby nodded, sighing as she rubbed Matt's chest. "Yeah, I do." Matt nodded. "Do you want to talk about it?" Gabby shook her head. "Not yet, it's just about how I hate that I left." Matt nodded. "It's ok to feel that way Gabby, I hate that I let you leave in the first place; I should've made you stay." Matt sighed.
After which, he pressed his lips to her forehead again. "Or, I should've gone with you." Gabby nodded. "By the way, I love how we're sitting here tonight. Best place to watch the sunset." Matt agreed with his wife. "Maybe we do that every night, we watch the sunset from here in the bath." Gabby smirked. "Maybe not just here, we can do stuff like this at home too. Do more things like this, be romantic at home." Matt agreed. "I think that sounds great, and we can also get away as husband and wife sometimes. I think that's something we really need to do more of. We need to be together just as husband and wife, rather than with our friends all the time. Yeah, we went on dates sometimes; but we were always at Molly's, or it was at another restaurant. But most of the time, it was at Molly's. We need to go on more dates, as the amount we went on was not healthy for a marriage." Gabby took a breath, agreeing with Matt as she knew that was the truth. She knows that it's not healthy for their marriage, so they need to change what they do.
Yet, at the same time, she also wants to ask her husband something. "Matt, if I asked you something, do you promise to be honest with me?" Matt nodded as Gabby asked him to be honest with her after she asks him a question, while also pressing his lips to her forehead. "Of course, what is it babe? I promise to be honest, as that's what we need to be with each other to fix us." Gabby agreed with Matt. "This was always our plan, right? To be married." Looking down at Gabby, Matt was confused. "What are you talking about?" Gabby sighed. "Matt, the only reason we got married in 2016 was for the adoption. I know it was also because we love each other, but…" Gabby sighed. "Can you tell me whether you think we really would've gone to the courthouse that day?" Matt sighed, as he didn't know the answer; especially since he never though about that. "Gabby, I hate that I can't say that we would be…but I don't think we would be. We were dragging our feet, because I asked you to push up the date when Mouch and Trudy got married."
Gabby agreed with Matt. "Then, we stared the Louie path. Well, you did, and I later joined. After that, we got married to help with the adoption. I mean, also because I love you more than anything….but I still feel like we did it wrong due to the fact that we didn't prioritize it. I wanted to be your husband, and we should've planned our wedding sooner. Especially with us being first responders, we shouldn't have waited." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Yeah, maybe then we wouldn't have gotten pregnant on a one-night stand." Matt looked down at Gabby as she said that. "Hey, don't think that way Gabby. Sure, am I sad that we lost the baby? Of course, I am. But the truth is, I don't think we would be here. We had a hard year after that, and we just needed time to grow. I think things would've been harder if we had a baby…and they would've been born into a dysfunctional home and relationship." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. "I'm just glad that we still have a future with each other, a future that will have kids. I'm sure."
Matt agreed with his wife, as that's precisely what he wants as well. "You know, we are going to need to find a place and can't stay here forever." Gabby agreed with Matt. "Well, I want to have room to take a bath in the new place." Matt agreed with her as well, smirking as he bent down and kissed her forehead softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. "I love you too Matt." Matt smirked, agreeing with the woman he loves more than anything. At the same time, Gabby cuddled up to him and smiled. "Want to just stay in here, or are we going to take a shower too?" Matt smiled as he ran his hand up and down her back. "I think we should wear sweats." Gabby agreed with Matt, feeling the same way. "I agree."
