Episode 285: Rise of the Black Sun Clan Part 1

Shortly after earning his fifth Frontier Symbol, Spenser has escorted Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel out of the forest.

"This path shall take you right down to Fortree City in a matter of days," Spenser said.

"Thanks, Spenser. We really appreciate your help," Sora said.

"Anytime. I wish you luck in your quest," Spenser said.

With that said, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel took their leave of the forest. They made their way to a Pokémon Center to have Fearow, Tropius, and Grovyle healed from the injuries they received from battle and let out Combusken, Marshtomp, Beldum, Bagon, Trapinch, Aron, Taillow, and Spheal. Kairi has started to train with her Pokémon, too.

During the training, Taillow, Bagon, Trapinch, Aron, Beldum, Spheal, and Gulpin have have evolved. Sora has picked up Grovyle, Tropius, and Fearow and he exchanged Fearow and Tropius for Duskull and Shuppet. Kairi has exchanged Lileep and her Snorunt for Beautifly and Delcatty.

Later that night, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Ali, and the other Pokemon happily ate their meal in the messhall, unaware of a new visitor coming their way. She has fair skin, long blonde hair and wore a black headband. She also wore a white dress, and white shoes. She eyes Sora very interestingly. She approached Sora as he is eating his meal.

"Well, well, well, aren't you Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion of the Kanto and Johto regions?" The girl flirtingly asked, sitting next to Sora. Kairi felt instantly jealous of the new girl who openly flirted with her boyfriend. It was like when Giselle flirted with Sora at one point.

"Um, yeah, I am," Sora said.

"I thought you looked familiar. My name is Maya Lotus and I wanted to say that I've been a huge fan of yours ever since I first saw you battling at the Indigo Plateau. And I must say, you're a whole lot cuter in person," Maya said.

"Um, I'm flattered, but I'm-" Sora was cut off.

"Don't say another word. I would love to go out with you," Maya flirtingly said.

"Wait, that's not what I said!" Sora said.

"He's already spoken for," Kairi said, taking her boyfriend by the arm.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Maya asked, irritated.

"I'm his girlfriend, that's who. And I would thank you very much for not hitting on my boyfriend right in front of me, please!" Kairi stated.

"I don't see your name on him, so you don't own him!" Maya argued.

"Neither do you!" Kairi argued back.

"Makes no difference to me, because I've got eyes on him," Maya argued.

"And he's got eyes on me!" Kairi argued back.

"She's right. Kairi is my girlfriend, so I'm going to have to turn you down," Sora said. Maya was shocked to hear he was turning her down.

"You're actually turning me down?" Maya asked.

"Yeah, I am. I'm sorry, I think you're nice, but I have my eyes on her," Sora said.

"Is that so? Alright, then there's only one way to settle it!" Maya said, standing up. "We're going to have a Pokémon battle! And it's going to be a one-on-one battle!"

"A battle?" Sora and Lisia asked.

"Yes. And I'm challenging her!" Maya said, pointing at Kairi. Kairi stood up as well.

"Alright, Maya. I accept your challenge!" Kairi said.

"Great!" Maya exclaimed. Both Kairi and Maya glared at each other with lightning shooting between their eyes and an image of a Zangoose and a Seviper appeared above them. With that said, both Kairi and Maya got into position for their battle as Sora, Lisia, and Pikachu watched from the sidelines. "Before we get started, there's a condition that I have!"

"Name it!" Kairi said.

"When I win, then your boyfriend gets to take me out on a date, and there'll be nothing you can do about it!" Maya said.

"That's not going to happen! But when I win, then you're going to give up on Sora and leave him alone!" Kairi said.

"You're going to have to beat me first!" Maya said. Maya took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Blaziken!" Her Pokéball opened and came out is a bipedal, chicken-like Pokémon. The majority of the Pokémon's body is red with accents of beige, yellow, and gray. Behind its head, there are beige, hair-like feathers that continue downward and surround its chest and abdomen. It has a small red face with a V-shaped crest on its head. Its blue eyes are semicircular with yellow sclerae, and its mouth is similar to a hooked beak. It has featherless, gray hands with three fingers each, and three clawed toes that are not normally visible due to the shaggy, yellow feathers on the bottom of its legs.

"Blaziken?" Kairi asked, taking out her Rotom Phone and scanned it.

Blaziken, the Blaze Pokémon

The evolved form of Combusken

Type: Fire/Fighting

Flames spout from its wrists, enveloping its knuckles. Its punches scorch its foes.

"Now that you got your lecture about Blaziken, how about you choose yours?" Maya asked.

"Fine," Kairi said. She turned to Angel. "Okay, Angel. You're going in."

"Eevee," Angel said, stepping in. Maya just laughed.

"You're kidding, right? Your puny little Eevee is going to battle against my strong and beautiful Blaziken? You should know that my Blaziken is a Fighting-type Pokémon, and your Eevee is at a huge disadvantage," Maya said.

"Types aren't everything! It also takes heart!" Kairi said.

"Whatever you say! Blaziken! Use Blaze Kick!" Maya ordered. Blaziken came at Angel with its legs emitting fire.

"Use Quick Attack to dodge!" Kairi ordered. Angel uses her speed attack to avoid Blaziken's Blaze Kick. She then dashed right at Blaziken with her Quick Attack.

"You're not going to get away with that! Blaziken! Use Sky Uppercut!" Maya ordered. Blaziken rushed at Angel and gave her an uppercut straight into the sky.

"Angel!" Kairi called out.

"Alright, Blaziken! Use High Jump Kick!" Maya ordered. Blaziken's knee glows yellow. It then strikes the female Eevee with its knee. Angel goes falling down like a meteorite. Blaziken lands right on its feet.

"Angel, are you okay?" Kairi asked with concern.

"Eevee," Angel weakly replied. Maya laughed.

"Face it! Your Eevee isn't even close to being a match against my Blaziken! The best thing you can do is give up while you can!" Maya said. Kairi grits her teeth. Angel looked right at her Trainer and she was determined to win it for Kairi and the other Pokémon. Angel staggeringly stood up on her feet, refusing to call it quits.

"Angel, you took heavy damage from that Blaziken's assault, so I don't want you to overdo it," Kairi said.

"Eevee, vee," Angel said.

"You wanna keep going?" Kairi asked, surprised.

"Vee," Angel said.

"If you wanna stay in it, Angel, then I'm going to back you up. That Blaziken isn't going to beat us!" Kairi said.

"Okay, if you wanna keep going, it's fine with me! I'll have to end this very quickly! Blaziken! Use High Jump Kick again!" Maya ordered. Blaziken jumped in the air and started to come down at Angel hard with its knee out.

"Dodge it!" Kairi called out. Angel dodged Blaziken's attack. Blaziken has taken a huge amount of damage from missing its mark. "Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift right at Blaziken, dealing some damage on the Blaze Pokémon. "Use Headbutt!" Angel dashed right at Blaziken and land a hit on it.

"Use Blaze Kick!" Maya ordered.

"Use Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered. Angel swung her tail at Blaziken, dealing some damage on it. "Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift, hitting Blaziken on the mark. Blaziken has taken some extra damage from Angel's Swift.

"Use High Jump Kick!" Maya ordered. Blaziken jumped in the air to land a hit on Angel again. She dodged Blaziken's High Jump Kick, dealing some damage and resulting in a knockout. "No! I lost!"

"Good job, Angel!" Kairi said.

"Eevee, vee, Eevee," Angel said.

"I can't believe I lost to her!" Maya said, calling back her Blaziken. She growled. "I won't forget this, Kairi! Mark my words, I will make Sora Ketchum love me and not you!" She ran off.

"I hope you do remember my boyfriend isn't anybody's prize!" Kairi called after her.

"Makes me glad I didn't come on to you, Sora," Lisia said.

"You didn't have a thing for me, Lisia?" Sora asked.

"Honestly, I did, but after seeing how close you are, I couldn't come between you, because you two are so very cute together," Lisia said.

"Well, I appreciate it, Lisia," Sora said. He went up to his girlfriend. "You know, I wouldn't have gone out with her even if you lost."

"I know, Sora. She brought it on herself, and she could have used a different move besides High Jump Kick," Kairi said.

"Yeah. I guess I would have acted the same way if anyone came on to you like she did, but I know you wouldn't have gone out with him," Sora said.

"Because my eyes are on you," Kairi lovingly said.

"And mine are on you," Sora said just as lovingly.

Lisia was swooning over how romantic it looked by how Sora and Kairi looked into each other's eyes.

"Oh, if they kiss, I might lose it," Lisia said in her thoughts, hoping they would kiss. Sora and Kairi really did kiss each other, making Lisia faint as she was swooning at the sight. Sora and Kairi stopped kissing and saw Lisia laying on the ground, smiling.

"Are okay, Lisia?" Kairi asked.

"Never better," Lisia replied as she sighed.

Over to Maya, she growled to herself.

"I'm so going to get her for this!" Maya spitefully stated. "And when I do, she'll regret the day she ever crossed Maya Lotus."

"Oh, she will regret it," a dark and ominous voice said. Maya turned around and saw a man wearing what looks like a black cloak, but not of Organization XIII's design.

"Who are you?" Maya asked.

"I'm simply a sympathizer, but you can refer to me as 'Wiseman'. I was watching the battle you had earlier, and I was impressed by how well you battled, my dear. You could have easily won if that Eevee had sat still," Wiseman said.

"Yeah, I would have! She wasn't supposed to win that battle, but she did! And to make matters worst, she's in a relationship with Sora Ketchum!" Maya exclaimed.

"I think I can help you with your problem, my dear. That is if you're interested," Wiseman said. Maya just looked at him, not understanding what he means.

"What can you do to help me out?" Maya asked.

"What you have is a power that sleeps within you. In fact, it sleeps within your heart. And I can wake it up for you," Wiseman said. Maya was skeptical about his offer and looked at him oddly.

"I say, you're crazy. There's no way I can have kind of power and you waking it up," Maya said.

"I can see that you're skeptical, but I assure you it is true. And I can prove it to you," Wiseman said, raising his hand. His skin is usually dark and his hand gave off a dark aura. The same dark aura surrounds Maya's body. She yelped as it engulfed her. Her hair, dress, and shoes then turned black. "Power born from darkness, awaken! Become what you were destined to become! Dark Maiden!" She fell on her knee. She saw her dress was black and her shoes. She took out her mirror and she saw her hair was black as well.

"What did you just do to me?" Maya asked.

"I have awaken the power that has slept dormantly in your heart until now. You have powers over the darkness, and so I give you the name 'Dark Maiden'. With it, you have the power to hypnotize anyone and make them fall under your command. And you can switch back to your true form at your own will. And I grant you one more gift," Wiseman said, taking out a dark-red blade curved sword. Its guard and hilt is black and has a skull at the center.

"Is this a sword?" Maya asked.

"Yes. This sword was forged with the powers of darkness, and you shall use it to your advantage. And one more thing. Keep your identity a secret. That way, your enemy will be immobilized," Wiseman said.

"Of course," Maya said, changing her hair and clothes back to normal. "I'm going to put these into good use." She chuckled.

"I know you will," Wiseman said, chuckling very evilly.

Later that, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel left the Pokémon Center and continued on their way to Fortree City and made a stop for the night. Kairi was having another nightmare. She saw that her friends and family were vanishing right in front of her under the dark light.

"Mom, dad, grandma, Seth, Karen, Ven, Terra, Aqua, Riku, Ash, Ethan, Brendan, May, Kris, Lyra, Leaf, Max, Lisia!" Kairi cried. Rei started to run up to her.

Kairi!" Rei called out. Kairi turned to her master as the dark light shines down on her. Rei screamed in pain as she vanished before Kairi's eyes.

"Master Rei!" Kairi cried.

"Eevee!" Angel called out. Kairi turned and saw Angel running up to her along with Togetic, Bellossom, Vileplume, Raichu, Clefable, Wigglytuff, Ninetales, Pinky, Rapidash, Dewgong, Starmie, Kingdra, Politoed, Dugtrio, Jynx, Tangrowth, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon, Hitmontop, Omastar, Slowking, Jumpluff, Mismagius, Ledian, Furret, Ampharos, Quilava, Sunflora, Unown, Celebi, Smeargle, Farigiraf, Shuckle, Miltank, Brick, Delibird, Corsola, Lanturn, Magikarp, Chikorita, Plusle, Minun, Roselia, Beautifly, Milotic, Delcatty, Swablu, Mawile, Kirlia, Clamperl, Kecleon, Swalot, Chimecho, Illumise, Volbeat, Lileep, Snorunt, Baltoy, Spinda, and Lunatone rush to Kairi's aid only to have the light shine on them, too.

(To those who just skipped ahead, Pinky is the pink Butterfree Kairi caught as Brick is the name of her red Marill.)

"Angel, Togetic, everyone!" Kairi exclaimed as tears slid down her face, watching her Pokémon vanish before her eyes.

"Kairi!" Sora called out. Kairi turned to see Sora and Pikachu running up to her. Kairi ran up to Sora and Pikachu only to have the dark light shine on them, too. Sora and Pikachu both screamed as they vanished before her eyes.

"Sora, Pikachu! No!" Kairi cried. She tried to reach out for them, but she was too late to save them both. Kairi cried even heavier when she saw everyone she loved and cared for was now gone. "I lost him again. I lost everything."

"That you have. Your family and your friends cannot help you, and the boy you love cannot help you," a dark voice spoke. Kairi turned around saw the same dark figure rise up behind her. "Just the last bit of suffering for you to endure before I drag you down with me, descendant of the Crystal Maiden!" The darkness engulfs Kairi, making her scream as she drowned in the very same darkness.

In the real world, Kairi was tossing and turning and screamed in her sleep. This woke up Sora and Lisia and they became very concerned for her.

"Kairi! Kairi, wake up!" Sora said, shaking her.

"Let me go!" Kairi yelled as she slugs Sora in the nose. She opened her eyes as she saw Sora's nose was now bleeding. Kairi felt guilty for hurting him unintentionally.

"Ouch! Why did you do that for?!" Sora exclaimed.

"Oh, I am so sorry, Sora. I didn't mean to hurt you," Kairi said.

"It's okay, Kairi. Not your fault," Sora said, holding his nose. "That was a good hit though."

"What was wrong, Kairi. You had us worried when you were screaming in your sleep," Lisia said.

"I'm sorry to worry you. And I'm sorry that I hurt you, Sora," Kairi apologized.

"I already told you that it's okay, but Lisia's right. We got worried about you. Just what was wrong with you?" Sora asked.

"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said with worry in his voice.

"Eevee, vee," Angel said with worry in her voice as well. Kairi sighed.

"Honestly, I don't know what's going on with me. I started to have these nightmares. I was sleeping soundly, happy as I can be, and then suddenly, things literally went dark," Kairi explained.

"What do you mean by 'went dark'?" Lisia asked.

"I'm not sure if there's a right or wrong way to explain it, but in my nightmares, I see a weird sun in the sky. It was black as night. And when it shines down on everyone around me, everyone just vanished. It started with my parents, my grandma, Seth, Karen, Ven, Terra, Aqua, Lisia, Riku, Ash, and the others. It then affected Master Rei, and then all of my Pokémon, and finally, you and Pikachu. And then something dark looked over me and tried to drown me in the darkness. I never felt so scared and helpless in my whole life," Kairi explained as she started to cry. Sora embraced his girlfriend in a loving hug.

"It's okay, Kairi. It's okay. Let it all out," Sora said as Kairi cried in his shoulder. Sora held her even tightly. Sora then said in his thoughts, "I got a really bad feeling something's gonna go down, but whatever it is, I won't let anything hurt Kairi. Not on my watch."

Back in Pallet Town, Mirei sat in the couch in the living room as her mother came in the living room as well.

"Mirei," Kairi's grandmother said. Mirei turned to look at her. "It's the nightmares, isn't it?"

"You always knew how to read me, mom. It is. I have no idea why I'm having these nightmares about the Black Sun Clan, and I don't have any doubt that you and Kairi are having them, too," Mirei said.

"You're right, I have. It could only be a sign," Kairi's grandmother said. Her daughter looked right at her.

"A sign for what?" Mirei asked.

"A sign that the time of the Crystal Maiden is needed again," Kairi's grandmother said.

"If that's true, then we should properly prepare Kairi for the battle to come. If only we didn't wait this long," Mirei said.

"You mean, you still haven't told her?" Kairi's grandmother said.

"With everything going on with the Organization, the Heartless, the Nobodies, and the Unversed, Yuta and I thought there was too much to worry about as it is. And besides, I didn't think the Black Sun Clan would become a threat again after so long," Mirei said.

"I understand. I guess I would have done the exact same thing. But you know there's no avoiding it now," Kairi's grandmother said.

"I know, mom, but I'm not sure if she's been having them or not. I can only pray it skips a generation, but you're right, there is no avoiding it. Yuta and I will have to discuss it with her," Mirei said.

Back in the Hoenn region on the next morning, Kairi has woken up in Sora's arms. She knew he was holding her tightly. Sora hasn't let go of her once for the whole night. She heard his heartbeat. The sound of her boyfriend's heartbeat was enough to soothe her, and made her forget her fears for now.

"Sora. Wake up, Sora," Kairi said. Sora slowly opened his eyes and looked right at his girlfriend. He saw that he was still holding her and he let her go. He also ended up blushing.

"Sorry, Kairi. I fell asleep there," Sora said.

"It's okay. I loved it that you kept me warm," Kairi said. Sora just blushed as Kairi kissed him on the cheek. Lisia then woke up.

"I'm glad to see that you're okay, Kairi," Lisia said.

"Thank you, Lisia. I mean it," Kairi said. Her Rotom Phone starts ringing. She took it out and answered it. She saw it was her family. "Mom, dad, grandma. Hi."

"Hi, Kairi. We need to have a serious talk about something," Mirei said.

"What is it, mom?" Kairi asked.

"Before we get to that, let me ask you a question. Have you been having some unusual nightmares recently?" Mirei asked. That struck a cord for Sora, Kairi, and Lisia.

"Yes! I've been dreaming about everyone and everything that's been vanishing before my eyes under a-" Kairi was cut off by her mother.

"An unusual light?" Mirei asked.

"Yes!" Kairi said. Kairi's family gasped in horror when Kairi has answered her mother's question.

"Just what I was afraid of," Mirei said.

"Me too. It's much worse than we thought," Yuta said.

"How do you know about Kairi's nightmare?" Sora asked.

"Yeah, mom. What's going on?" Kairi asked.

"The day that we had hoped that will never come has come at last," Mirei said.

"Mom?" Kairi asked.

"You see, Kairi, it all started many centuries ago. Once, there was an evil man whom referred to himself as 'Doom Bishop'," Mirei started to explain.

"Doom Bishop?" Kairi asked.

"Yes. No one knew who he was or where he came from, but only that he was corrupted by the darkness, twisting his very being. He then began to use dark magic to corrupt the hearts of the entire human race, turning everyone against one another. Friend against friend, and brother against brother. In his image and name, he has created the Black Sun Clan. The Black Sun Clan would shine their dark light on everything they touched. He would have succeeded if it were not the Crystal Maiden," Mirei explained.

"Black Sun Clan?" Sora asked.

"The Crystal Maiden?" Lisia asked.

"Yes. The Crystal Maiden was the hope that the world had, because she saw that Doom Bishop was upsetting the balance between light and darkness. She also knew that if the hatred spreads all around, then there would be untold chaos throughout the world, until it was eventually destroyed. The Crystal Maiden confronted Doom Bishop and she stopped him from carrying out his evil plans and had him banished into the Underworld; the place where the souls of evil beings would dwell for all eternity. Before she did, he swore that he and the Black Sun Clan will return and finish what they started," Mirei explained.

"Why are you telling me this?" Kairi asked.

"Because we think the Black Sun Clan is returning," Kairi's grandmother said.

"Yeah, and the first thing they said they'd do is exact their revenge on the descendants of the Crystal Maiden before they resume their mission," Yuta said.

"Just who is the Crystal Maiden exactly?" Sora asked.

"The Crystal Maiden is a powerful sorceress known throughout the land for her power and her beauty. But what really made her well-known is that she has power over crystal magic," Mirei said.

"Crystal magic?" Kairi asked.

"Yes. You see, Kairi, you, me, your brother, and your grandma all share her bloodline, and that also means that you have crystal magic," Mirei said.

"That's not really surprising, because Kairi is very skillful with her magic," Sora said.

"Pika," Pikachu said.

"Yes, but this is a kind of magic only Kairi can use since the blood of the Crystal Maiden flows in her veins. And she'll use it to put a stop to the Black Sun Clan," Yuta said.

"If the Black Sun Clan is making a comeback, does that mean they'll come looking for me?" Kairi asked.

"There's no doubt that they're already on the move, but we know you can handle yourself out there, Kairi. All I ask you to do is to be careful when you see them," Mirei said.

"But how will we know?" Sora asked.

"I think I'll know when we do see them," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Thanks for letting us know about this," Kairi said.

"You're welcome," Yuta said.

"Again, be careful," Mirei said.

With that said, Mirei broke contact as Sora and Kairi had another enemy to worry about. It was already bad enough that they had Vanitas, Organization XIII, Zell, and the Elemental Bosses to deal with, but now they had the Black Sun Clan to deal with.

"Wow, you're even more amazing than I thought, Kairi," Lisia said.

"You think you're amazed? I'm dumbfounded by how I have this kind of power and not know it," Kairi said.

"No use on dwelling on it right now, but we're going to when we practice a bit," Sora said.

"Pika," Pikachu agreed.

"Yeah, you're right, Sora. If I have the ability to use crystal magic like my mom said, then I'm going to need the practice to use it," Kairi said.

"Well, I've got something else to say, Kairi. I won't let those Black Sun jerks hurt you," Sora said.

"Sora," Kairi said.

"If those Black Sun jokers think they're going to get to you so easily, then they're going to be in for a very nasty surprise. I'm going to protect you, Kairi. Even if I have to sacrifice myself again just so you can be safe, I'm going to do it," Sora said.

"I know you'd lay your life on the line for me, Sora, and I appreciate it. I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend than you," Kairi said.

"I said it because I mean it. If they're enemies of yours, then they're my enemies, too. We managed to protect each other so far and we never gave up," Sora said.

"You're right, Sora. Thank you," Kairi said.

With that said, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel had to prepare for what's coming their way.

Meanwhile, Wiseman stood before a crowd of people, anxious to hear what he had to say.

"Brothers and sisters, the time has come. The time for revenge is upon us. The bloodline of the Crystal Maiden, our most hated enemies will die for the disgrace that we have endured! Our war will begin in the Hoenn region. There, the descendant of the Crystal Maiden is ill-prepared because she is unaware of her unique gift, and we have the advantage. It is true that she has a Keyblade in her possession, but even the Keyblade's power will be no match for the power of the Black Sun Clan. The Dark Maiden will be the instrument of our revenge, and soon the Crystal Maiden's bloodline will soon be erased from history forever!" Wiseman proclaimed. The Black Sun Clan all cheered hard at the announcement.

Back with Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel, they ate their breakfast and set off on their way for Fortree City, keeping their eyes opened for any signs of the Black Sun Clan. Thanks to Kairi, they had an idea what their symbol looks like. As they continue on, they hear some rustling, making them stop.

"You think it's them, making their move?" Lisia asked.

"Or it could be Heartless, Nobodies, or Unversed, or Zell, or the Elemental Bosses again," Sora said.

"Either way, we gotta be on our toes," Kairi said. Sora, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel all nodded in agreement. They waited to see who or what it was. It turns out to be the Dark Maiden, holding her sword. "Who are you?"

"Your worst nightmare come to life," the Dark Maiden said. She came right at Kairi as she summoned her Keyblade and blocked the sword. The Dark Maiden was shocked to see she has a Keyblade. Kairi pushes her back. "A key?"

"I repeat! Who are you?" Kairi asked.

"You can call me the Dark Maiden. And I'm going to kill you!" The Dark Maiden said, coming at her again, but Sora summoned his Keyblade and clashed against the sword to protect Kairi.

"Leave her alone!" Sora said. The Dark Maiden pushed Sora back.

"This is between me and her. I have nothing against you," the Dark Maiden said.

"Bring it on, you witch!" Kairi said. Kairi and the Dark Maiden clashed their weapons against each other. The Dark Maiden was confused by Kairi was not only a Pokémon Trainer, but also a swordswoman, too. They clashed their weapons against one another, so Kairi casts a spark spell, hitting her. Kairi then casts her aero spell, blowing her back. She was

"You're going to need more than magic tricks to beat me. And you call me a witch?" The Dark Maiden taunted.

"Don't push it, girlfriend," Kairi said as she jumped. Kairi swung her Keyblade, but the Dark Maiden blocked her attack with her sword and pushed her back. She attempts to cut Kairi like a piece of meat, but Kairi managed to dodge. The Dark Maiden then unleashed a blast of dark energy right at Kairi, but she casts her reflect spell to block it. The Dark Maiden then came at her again, but Kairi cartwheels out of the way and then something unexpected happened. She unleashed a blast of bluish-white ball of energy and it struck the Dark Maiden on the mark. "Was that crystal magic?"

"You're a whole lot more tougher than I thought. But don't think you won this round, because I'm going to be back and the results will be different!" The Dark Maiden said as she disappeared. Sora went up to his girlfriend.

"You alright, Kairi?" Sora asked.

"I'm fine. But why do I have a feeling I've seen her before?" Kairi asked.

"That does feel weird. There is something familiar about her," Lisia said.

"But we never met her before, and that's what's weird," Kairi said.

"I think we might find out when we see her again," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

The Dark Maiden panted and reverted back to Maya as Wiseman came to her.

"I trust you put your gift to the ultimate test?" Wiseman asked.

"Yeah, but you didn't mention she had a key-shaped sword and some magic," Maya said.

"That was my fault, because I should have warned you. But I can make amends by inviting you to our glorious organization: The Black Sun Clan," Wiseman said.

"Black Sun?" Maya asked.

"Come with me, and you shall see," Wiseman said.

The Black Sun Clan has revealed themselves, but who exactly is the mysterious Wiseman and what sort of tricks does he have in store? And can Kairi use her newfound ability to use crystal magic help save her family? Find out when we press right on.
