"Every day that passed, with every breath, blink, and movement, was a harsh reminder that reality taunted me by showing that I was no longer in my home but in an unfamiliar place, and over time, I felt further from my family and friends. An intruder who had come to change the game in this world like a virus in the human body."

The day of the long-awaited sports festival had finally arrived. The streets were filled with people waiting for their turn to enter the stadium stands, while others crowded the market to buy souvenirs, food, or accessories sold at their stalls. Many also gathered at booths or restaurants with TV or internet to watch the highly anticipated tournament.

While jubilation filled the stadium's interior and exterior, the participants headed to their respective changing rooms to switch to their school sports uniforms.

For Sakura, Mrs. Inko's excitement greeted her from the moment she left her room, thrilled about her participation in the festival. She had even prepared a hearty breakfast as a display of her excitement. Leaving home, she noticed that people were highly animated; some carried banners, and others wore T-shirts with the faces of upper-grade academy students.

Throughout the journey and even now in the locker room, she couldn't help but draw comparisons between Konoha and this place. Unlike her home, people here seemed genuinely relaxed.

"So, everyone will be watching us on television" Sakura commented as she laced up her boots.

"Of course, it's one of the world's most important events," she replied excitedly. "Sakura, you're quite funny; it's as if you've lived under a rock not to know about this event."

"I would say more like inside the forest" she replied with a slight smile.

Perhaps due to Ochaco's excitement, she didn't hear the last comment before she began talking to the others about what they needed to do to win the festival. Sakura smiled as she listened, but in reality, her mind was focused on Ochako's comment.

If everyone is watching this, she was more than sure that not only civilians were watching, but villains as well. It was a double-edged sword; on the one hand, it was about teaching the future generations of heroes, and on the other hand, it was about showcasing their abilities to their future enemies. She looked at the girls with concern. They seemed happy in their bubble of reality, becoming an easy target. She made a bitter grimace, remembering that she had also been like that before entering the Forest of Death, even before her first mission outside of Konoha.

"Lida-kun, Deku-kun, let's give it our best to win," Ochaco said to the boys once they gathered in the waiting room.

"A lot of people will see how great Class 1-A is" Kaminari added.

"It's a shame they can't see us shine even more with our costumes" Aoyama lamented.

"It's because that would give us an advantage over the others, so that's why we use our sports uniforms" Ojiro explained.

"It's a shame" Sakura muttered to herself.

Midoriya, who was standing beside her, nervously chuckled. Just before they left, he had to convince her to leave all the weapons she had hidden at home behind, as it was prohibited to use anything other than her Quirk.

As they started moving to leave, they stopped abruptly when Todoroki stepped in front of Midoriya and Sakura. Todoroki's gaze was so intense that Midoriya began to sweat, while Sakura looked at him expectantly.

"Midoriya, Haruno, I won't let you get in my way. If you dare to interfere, I won't hesitate to crush you" his voice sounded as cold as ice.

Midoriya paled, while the others grew nervous. Finally, there was a declaration of war in the class just before the games began, and some of them were expectant about what might happen at that moment. To the surprise of some, Bakugo was the only one who didn't take it well.

"What are you saying, Half-and-Half? Deku or Gum in the first place?" The big smile on his face promised a bloodbath in his wake. "All they'll see is dust because I'll beat them, losers."

Both Midoriya and Bakugo trembled from head to toe, one because he restrained himself from crushing everyone, and the other out of fear of Kaa-chan. On the other hand, Todoroki stared at them unmoved and then turned to go to his post.

Once Bakugo and Todoroki left, the atmosphere became more relaxed.

"That was really scary," Tsuyu said.

Sakura watched Midoriya being supported by Uraraka, who patted him on the back before turning to silently contemplate the backs of Todoroki and Bakugo heading straight for the entrance that led to the arena. She could sense that both of them were going to give her a massive headache, although... She glanced at Midoriya again before smiling to herself. This will be a good boost for him if he wants to be as good as All Might.

Shortly after they left, the others followed suit, and as soon as they were called to the arena, Sakura took a deep breath.

There's no turning back.

As they entered the arena, the cheers that had sounded distant before became present, with hundreds of cameras recording them or taking lots of photos. Sakura scanned the area. It wasn't very difficult to identify the civilians and the heroes by their attention-grabbing costumes. In addition to them, she saw Aizawa in the commentator's booth.

"I wonder if there will be something like the Forest of Death" Sakura whispered.

"Forest of Death?" Jiro asked.

Once again, Midoriya turned blue at the thought of what kind of test could be related to such a terrifying name. No, the less he knew, the better. He already had enough scares during the nights, when he would wake up abruptly due to Sakura's nightmares or when she would crawl into his bed, barely letting him get any sleep because of her presence in his bed.

Despite being a skills test, Sakura felt a bit disappointed as she passed the first test. It was so easy that she had no trouble keeping up with running, dodging robots, crossing ropes, and avoiding bombs. She just had to remind herself several times to moderate her speed, so as not to end up in first or last place. The second test became interesting when they announced the points Midoriya had earned for coming in first place.

She had planned to stay on the sidelines and join a moderately competent team, but Midoriya approached her with Ochaco after Ilda turned them down. Secretly, Sakura felt happy. If she had been twelve years old, she would rarely have been considered a good choice to join a team. Sasuke wouldn't have even considered her as a possibility, and Naruto might have, but only because he had feelings for her, not because he saw her as a good combat partner.

If she had to admit it, Sakura had to use a bit more chakra than expected to dodge her competitors, especially when Todoroki and Bakugo's team approached fiercely. Fortunately, they passed the test thanks to Tokoyami.

When they announced that they were the last group to advance to the semifinals and Midoriya cried like a baby, Sakura smiled at him. This was nothing compared to what he would have to face if he wanted to be the best, but it was a good step.

As she didn't need to stay any longer in the arena, she excused herself to get water, leaving the group behind.

As she had no need to stay longer in the arena, she excused herself to go get water, leaving the group behind. As soon as she took her water bottle, she frowned as she saw her hand trembling. She clicked her tongue in frustration; she had used more chakra than she should have, and her hand was experiencing one of the side effects due to her damaged chakra channels.

She would have to ignore it for now.

As she walked down the hallway towards the arena, she ran into Bakugo leaning against the wall. He seemed strangely calm, which made her look at him suspiciously.

"What are you...?"

She tensed up completely when he covered her mouth with his hand and dragged her towards the wall. She had to restrain herself from reacting instinctively and punching his chest. Instead, she tried to remove his hand to shout at him, until she heard Todoroki talking to Midoriya about his fire Quirk and the familiar environment he grew up in.

Both of them listened about his father's obsession with training him and his mother's weakened state. Todoroki's story felt so painfully familiar to Hinata's when they were just genin that Sakura felt immense frustration. People here weren't much different when it came to power.

Sakura didn't dare to move until they were alone. At that moment, he finally pulled away from her as if their closeness had been nothing out of the ordinary.

"It's rude to eavesdrop," Sakura said, even though he was leaving without saying anything.

"Tsk, then you're an accomplice for staying until the end, Pinky" he replied without looking back.

These kids were so explosive that they felt a mix of frustration, pain, and anger. They were just young people acting like children throwing tantrums. Why did adults behave so selfishly?

"Don't get frustrated because there are strong people like you; that anger won't get you anywhere," she said, thinking of Sasuke. The same kind of anger she was starting to see in Bakugo reminded her so much of Sasuke before he left the village that it filled her with a deep bone-chilling fear to think that something similar could happen with this boy. "Don't let it consume you."

This time, Bakugo stopped and glanced at her.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," he said, looking at her with annoyance before resuming his pace.

Sakura's face darkened. Bakugo, Todoroki, and Midoriya... A feeling of pain began to tighten in her chest as she thought about what the future held for them if they continued this way.

"What would you do, Naruto?" she whispered.

When she returned to the arena, she froze at the sight of the girls dressed as cheerleaders while the spectators started whistling at them.

"What... what happened here?" she asked, confused and as embarrassed as the others looked.

"I can't believe I fell into Mineta's trap" Yaoyorozu muttered sadly and bitterly.

"Sakura, we have your cheerleader outfit to cheer on the class during halftime; it's part of the competition," Mineta said with maniacal eyes.

She didn't have to think much to guess what had happened here. She grabbed Mineta by the head and gave him a flat look.

"You're dead, pervert" she said, throwing him forcefully to the other side of the arena.

Not long after that embarrassing scene, Sakura climbed up to the stands to watch the halftime show while waiting for the semifinals to begin. Although she seemed very attentive to what was happening in the arena, her mind was still circling her three classmates: Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki.

The weight that All Might was putting on Midoriya to be number one in the tournament, despite breaking his bones every time he used his Quirk; Bakugo's persistent anger and Todoroki's resentment deeply troubled her.

Of course, as the matches began, she refocused on them. When Midoriya faced off against Shinso, she smiled expectantly, eager to see what would happen, until Midoriya froze.

"What's happening?" she whispered.

"I told him to be careful," Ojiro murmured worriedly.

She watched the battle with interest, trying to understand Shinso's Quirk and how it affected Midoriya. It seemed similar to Ino's jutsu in her world. She furrowed her brow, placing her hands on the railing as she watched more closely. Midoriya didn't seem capable of doing anything other than obeying his opponent's commands.

"It looks like this battle won't last long" Present Mic commented.

She couldn't allow it to end so easily. All of Midoriya's hard training with All Might and the hours of effort they had put in together, training in the early morning until he was like a sack of potatoes, couldn't be wasted in an instant.

"Midoriya!" she shouted loudly, her voice dominating all others. "If you dare to lose, prepare to face the consequences, Shanarooo!"

Everyone, including her classmates and teachers, was stunned by Sakura's words and her fierce gaze directed at Izuku, who was momentarily unconscious. Fortunately, before he could step out of the ring, Midoriya reacted and won his first match, filling both All Might and Sakura with pride.

The pink-haired followed the next battles closely, examining each of the fighters' movements. Alongside Midoriya, they quickly began commenting on the strengths and weaknesses of the fighters' moves.

"We've got another Midoriya" Cero whispered, horrified by how well Sakura and Midoriya understood each other, despite speaking too quickly.

And so, the battles went on, and although Sakura was anxious, she remained calm. Even during Ochaco's fight against Bakugo, she told Midoriya and Ilda to trust her because she wasn't as weak as they thought. When Todoroki faced Sero and a large ice spike came inches from his face in Todoroki's attack, Sakura remained unmoved; she was more concerned about the frustration and anger she saw in him. Seeing that Midoriya was worried, she took his hand to comfort him, and together they watched as Todoroki used his left hand to thaw the ice.

The fights passed faster than they expected, until finally, it was Sakura's turn.
