Once upon a time, in a magical kingdom known as Andalasia, there lived an evil Queen by the name of Narissa.
Narissa is a tall, slender, and beautiful woman with rosy cheeks, red lips, fair skin, black hair with curly strands, brown eyes, and teal eyelids. She wore a purple off-the-shoulder dress with a heart-shaped neckline that shows her breast cleavage, long sleeves, a high matching collar with black hem, and black lining from her breasts to the very bottom of her skirt. Also, she wears both a black Gothic-style shawl and gloves and wears a silver tiara on top of her head.
Selfish and cruel, she lived in fear that one day, her stepson Edward would marry, and she would lose her throne forever.
Edward is a large-built, extremely handsome young man with prominent cheekbones and a jaw. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Edward is usually dressed in an elaborate royal uniform, with a cape and sword, as befitting a Prince.
In an autumn woodland, a white fairytale house rests by a pool and on a hill, bushes, and fronds growing all over it. Two bluebirds fly towards it, and the zoom continues to reveal the windows open and Giselle, a lovely strawberry-blond peasant woman, twirls by. She wore a hot pink strapless long gown with dark pink ribbons serving as sleeves, as well as walking around barefoot.
And so, she did all in her power to prevent the prince from ever meeting the one special maiden with whom he would share true love's kiss.
Inside her house, Giselle is constructing a life-size statue of a person made with whatever she had lying around. Two bluebirds flew in the window and hand her a pinecone.
"Giselle, Giselle, how about this for your statue?" The two bluebirds ask her.
Giselle popped behind her statue and gasped as she took it in hand. "Oh, this will be perfect. Thank you!"
"You're welcome!"
Pip, a phlegmatic chipmunk, rushes the avians. "Come on, Come on, Come on! Okay, you mookses, move it! We have got a face to put together here while it's still ingrained in her sub-cranium!"
Giselle awes as she spun around the statue. "Oh, Pip, it was such a lovely dream. We were holding hands and dancing, and..."
A rabbit hops up to her and hands her sapphires. "And these for the eyes."
"Blue? Oh, how did you know?" Giselle asks as she took them in her hand, holding them out to her own eyes. "And they sparkle just like his. Mm! Okay. There we go. Yes! That's it!"
"Okay. Yeah, yeah. Floor's yours, honey." Pip commented.
"Presenting...my one true love!" Giselle says as she turns the statue towards the animals, showing the contents to be books and cleaning supplies, and flowers. "My prince. My dream come true."
"Aaaaah..." all of them said in awe.
Giselle gasped when she noticed something vital was missing. "Oh, my goodness!"
Pip jumped up on her shoulder. "Whoa, whoa. What? What's the problem?"
"I didn't give him any lips," Giselle explains as she looked over the statue.
"Ooh!" Pip was seeing.
"Does he have to have lips?" A baby deer asks her.
Giselle chuckled as she looked down and pet the baby. "Of course. When you meet the someone who is meant for you, before two can become one, there's something you must do..."
"Do you pull each other's tails?" A rabbit asks as it did just that as one of the
"Do you feed each other seeds?" The Bluebird asks as it feeds its other seeds.
Giselle chuckled and denied that. "No." She then picked up the bluebird and placed it down on a raccoon. "There is something sweeter everybody needs." She then made her way toward the mirror and picked up a hairbrush to then comb her hair. "I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss. And a prince I'm hoping comes with this. That's what brings ever-afterings so happyyyyyy." She then stretched out the beak of an owl to mimic a smile. "And that's the reason we need lips so much. For lips are the only things that touch." She then spun as a turtle handed her a rose and some placed it on the statue. "So to spend a life of endless bliss. Just find who you love through true love's kiss..."
Pip leaped back onto the statue and smiled.
Giselle then thought of what to do and got just the idea. "If we're going to find a perfect pair of lips, we're going to need a lot more help.
She flings open the window and vocalizes to the wild. The woodland creatures responded with the same melody she vocalized and began to swarm to her home.
"he's been dreaming of a true love's kiss. And a prince she's hoping comes with this. That's what brings ever-afterings. So happy. So happy!"
Giselle samples a comb, a peapod, a crab, and an apple for the lips of her statue. Her expression lofts when a furry green caterpillar pops out of the apple, and she spreads it across the face of the statue.
"That's the reason we need lips so much. For lips are the only things that touch."
The caterpillar comes to life and gives her a look and crawls off.
Giselle shrugged it off and got closer and leaned closer to the statue, sitting on the knee she created. "So to spend a life of endless bliss. Just find who you love..."
"Through true love's kiss..."
Close to her home, Edward, the vivacious son of Queen Narissa, was currently riding a horse in a suit with poofy sleeves.
"Look out below!" Edward called out.
He was currently in the middle of catching a huge troll in his tracks, all tied up. Nathaniel, the queen's loyal-to-a-fault servant, accompanies the vanquisher.
"Amazing, sire. Your tenth troll this month!" Nathaniel called as he started climbing the troll. "Oh, I love hunting trolls. Big trolls, little trolls. Trolls, trolls, trolls..." He slips on the troll's lips, accidentally forcing his hand into its nostril, and pulling out slimy boogers. "Sorry."
"Oh, that's Okay." The troll tells him as Edward helps him up.
"Ah, trolls are fine to pass the time, Nathaniel," Edward tells his friend as they sat on the back of the troll. "But... but my heart longs to be joined in song." He then stands up and playfully dances with his friend. "I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss. And a..."
Edward pauses when he hears Giselle signing from afar. "...prince I'm hoping comes with this."
"D-Do you hear that, Nathaniel?" Edward asks as he starts to look around to try and pinpoint where it was coming from.
Nathaniel became anxious and tried to get him off of the call. "Me? No. No, I hear nothing. Nothing at all, your highness, hahaha." He then starts to try and vocalize to throw him off.
"I must find the maiden that belongs to that sweet voice!" Edward declared as he jumped off of the troll.
"Oh, no! Come back, sire!" Nathaniel tried to stop him as Edward mounts his white steed in style. "No, you're hallucinating!"
"Ride, Destiny!" Edward
"Oh! Nathaniel cried in despair as Edward rides off. "Oh, pooh. Oh, no. No. This isn't good. All these years of troll chasing, trying to keep him from ever meeting a girl." Opening his amulet with a picture of the queen inside. "Oh, the queen. No, she's not going to like this."
"True love's kiss." The troll sang along terribly.
Nathaniel looks back at the troll, and gets a sinister idea, as he closes the amulet. Elsewhere, the prince rides through the forest with a dreamy look.
"Aaaaaaaah, true love's kiss!" Edward sings as he rides through the forest to find the voice.
But then the ground starts to shake as his face blanks. The troll stomps behind and passes right above him and was skipping his way across the wood and toward the voice.
"True love's kiss!" The troll sings as he races off to the same voice.
"Oh, you shall not prevail, foul troll. That maiden is mine!" Edward proclaimed as he tried to chase the troll faster.
Back in Giselle's house, she sat by the window and stared out the window with Pip standing on her knee.
"Honey, do you really think your dream boy exists?" Pip asks her.
Giselle sighed as she looked dreamily. "Oh, Pip. I know he's out there somewhere."
That's when the troll peeks into the window. His eye is the only thing in sight and the animals try to get out the meaning but only end up panicking. "Eye! Eye! Eye-Eye."
Giselle however misread what they were saying and wasn't even facing the window. "I... I what?"
"I eat you now!" The troll said, getting Giselle to jump and shriek when she noticed the troll.
Giselle yelps and the animals run off to try and get away when the troll punched through the window to try and grab her.
Pip jumped as he tried to get the animals out of the room. "Everybody, scatter!"
"Gotcha." The troll says as he thinks he grabbed her. But then he saw Giselle opens another window across the house and on a tree trunk. The troll pulls out her statue. "Hey! That's cheating!" He crushes the statue and starts to chase her. "I supposed to eat you."
"Oh, no you don't, you big lug." Pip cries as he jumps onto the troll's head. The branch it and Giselle are holding on to bends and bows. He looked down in confusion and shook his stomach. "Wow, I got to lay off the nuts."
The troll then reaches and tries to grab her. "Girl yummy."
But before he could make an impact or grab, a sword punctures the branch. Looking downward, Edward has arrived and stopped Destiny in his tracks.
"Fear not, fair maiden. I am here." Edward tells her in pride.
Giselle giggles in embarrassment then slip down the branch. "Whoa!"
"Gotcha!" Pip promises as he catches his friend but is too weak to pull her up and they both slide to another branch.
"Uh-oh." The troll is trebuchet into the distance, complete with a lower-pitched Goofy holler.
Giselle tried to keep her grip on the tree. "Oh! Pip!" She loses grip. "Pip!"
Pip raced over to try and save her. "Just hang on, honey. I'm going to..."
He's too late to save her, and she falls through the trees into Edward's arms. She gazes at him and sees the man of her dreams.
Giselle was immediately lovestruck. "Oh, my gosh. It's you."
Edwar smiled and was also immediately lovestruck. "Yes, it's me. And you are?"
Giselle blushed as she fixed a lock of hair in her face. "Giselle."
Edward seemed to be enthusiastic by the name. "Oh! Giselle! We shall be married in the morning." He promises as they then rode off into the sunset. "You're the fairest maid I've ever met. You were made..."
"To finish your duet." Giselle finishes his singing.
"And in years to come, we'll reminisce..." The two of them sang together as they kept going. Pip whistles to the animals, who follow the couple.
"How we came to love..." Edward kept singing as the birds and animals flee from her home and follow them.
"And grew and grew love.." Giselle continued their song.
"Since first we knew love. Through true love's kiiiiiiiss!"
They were being watched by the forest animals, as they saw Giselle and Edward ride off into the sunset.
Dark-haired, aloof Queen Narissa watches in infuriation at them in a floating crystal ball from within her castle. She wasn't exactly thrilled to see that her stepson was now getting married. This would mean that her reign as Queen of Andalasia would be coming to an end.
"Oh, so this is the little forest rat who thinks she can steal my throne," Narissa said sarcastically as she grew queen conjures up a huge column of flames. In the midst of it is an enormous roaring dragon. "NEVEEEEEEER!"
Wedding bells ring at the fairytale castle. Nathaniel hurries towards a horse-drawn carriage, which pulls up outside the castle. Nathaniel ran over to open the door just as Giselle comes out of it, wearing a stunning and extremely poofy wedding dress. She also ended up hitting Nathaniel in the nose,
"Oh! Excuse me. I am so sorry." Giselle cried as she tried to quickly make it to her wedding. "Oh! Am I late? I do hope I'm not late."
"No, miss. Just in time." Nathaniel assured her, also trying his best to keep her from the wedding.
"Oh, thank goodness," Giselle said in glee as she ran for the cathedral.
Nathaniel sighed just as Pip runs out of the carriage as well. "Hey, honey, wait up! We ain't done with you yet."
Then suddenly a whole rush of different assortment of animals rushed out of the carriage and trample Nathaniel. Nathaniel just stayed down and took it as all of the animals trampled over him. A sash of white ribbon is tied by rabbits around Giselle's waist as she walks up a flight of steps. To finish the look, the bluebirds place a tiara on her head and they saw she was officially ready to go.
"Oh! Thank you." Giselle called out to her animal friends.
"You're welcome, Giselle." The bluebirds tell her and fly off.
"You're getting married!" A few animals called out in
Giselle heads into the castle and continued to race through, but Nathaniel shuts the doors on the animals before they can follow. Pip was the closest to the door and ended up smacking his face against the front and smacked into the got back to his feet and was obviously angered by what just occurred. "Oh, and what do we look like, garbage?!" He then started to look around to find another way inside. "Close the door on me!"
In the castle garden, Giselle was racing through the garden to reach the inside of the castle. Everyone was waiting for her to arrive so that the wedding could be started.
"If you'll allow me..." Nathaniel was trying to keep her back as best as he could.
But there was easily no stopping Giselle as she continued to race through the garden. "To think that in a few moments that Edward and I..."
"Yes, yes." Nathaniel kept trying to stop her.
"That he and me... That we..." Giselle was saying this when suddenly an old hag cuts her path. "Oh, my!"
"Oh, what a lovely bride." In reality, this was really the Queen in disguise as her last attempt to keep her position.
"That's very kind of you, but I really..." Gizelle was trying to get past it so she could finally get married.
"No, no! Granny has a wedding gift for you." The old hag in disguise said.
"Thank you. But I really should be going." Giselle says as she walked around her and started to walk for the cathedral. "You see, I'm going..."
The hag quickly reached out and grabbed Giselle before she pulls her towards a fountain. "'Tis a wishing well, dear."
"Oh! But all my wishes are about to come true." Giselle assured the old lady as Nathaniel began to question what he was allowing her to do.
"If I ever see that fat mook's face again, I'm gonna..." Pip was growing in anger when he noticed what was happening. "huh?"
"I really do have to go." Giselle tells the old hag.
"Oh, but a wish on your wedding day. That's the most magical of all. Just close your eyes, my darling, and make your wish. That's right. That's right. Lean in close." The old hag then sneaked behind Giselle. "Are you wishing for something?"
"Yes, I am," Giselle said with a smile as she closed her eyes. "And they both lived happily ever aft-"
The hag suddenly shoved Giselle into the fountain, and she screams as she began to fall. Pip immediately panicked when he saw what had happened and jumped around.
"Help!" Pip cried as he ran off to find the prince. "Edward! Prince Edward, we need help!"
"Speciosus, formosus, praeclarus!" The hag drops her disguise and reveals herself to truly be Narissa.
Nathaniel ran up to her and looked down the fountain. "Where, my most adored queen, where did you send her?"
Narissa smiled as she knew this was the best way to get rid of her. "To a place where there are no happily ever afters."
Giselle continues to plummet down the well and splashes into the galaxy-like water at the bottom. She is suspended in a sea of strange particles.
"What is this?" Giselle wonders.
More particles surge toward her, covering every last inch of her body and dress, creating a shining white blob in the darkness. The blob explodes and Giselle is hurdled as a glowing comet and thrown down onto a metal surface.
No longer a cartoon character, the live-action Giselle looks about the darkened place in confusion. Narrow shafts of light beam from small holes in a circular and dented metal plate, sitting snuggly on the ground she's lying on. Giselle sits up as she studies her hands, glancing down at her body, and looks at her long orange hair, then gently touches one of the beams of light.
The ground begins to tilt upwards. She places her hands on the sides of the metal plates and peers through one of the tiny holes. An ornate flower pattern decorates the top of the metal plate. It's a manhole cover.
She has just entered a whole new world.
