The village hidden in the mist, a village renowned for its ruthless and evil ways. It is known as the Bloody Mist. 12 years ago the third mizukage started a blood purge but was put down pretty quickly, by Gojo Satoru. Under his rule, the hidden mist has become more closed off, and has started journeying to the east. They also have new organizations, and have gotten rid of the old ones. The 7 ninja swordsmen of the mist got disbanded with most of the swords going 'missing' in the aftermath in the battle with might dai. They have gained an alliance with the recovering hidden sky village and have their technology.
3 years ago information started to stop coming from the land of water and the land of sky. Which has seen an increase in spies trying to get into the village to find out what they are up to. Any spy that has tried has not come back. This has caused villages to start getting on the edge because they don't know what the land of water is planning.
A leaf outpost was attacked on the beach of the land of fire, with no witnesses the hidden leaf had no choice but to think that all of those ninjas were not rogue but they didn't think much of it with a lot of people wanting to go rogue nowadays. Two more attacks like these happen again, this time one being in the land of lightning, and another in the land of stone, the outpost being on the border with the land of fire.
Since none of these shinobi that disappeared have resurfaced, they started looking at other people to blame and those being the other great villages. With the attack on the hidden village by Orochimaru and the land of wind, the land of lightning and the land of stone started to test the borders. With two of the legendary sanin coming back and one becoming Hokage the tensions all but stopped.
Everything was starting to cool down until the land of wind made an alliance with the land of fire, because of the actions they took with Orochimaru. With this newfound alliance, the other great villages started to feel threatened, causing an alliance between the land of earth and the land of lighting which put tensions at an all-time high. With the kidnapping of the 5th kazekage who knows what direction the world will go?
