Chunky and Lanky soon arrived at the next area of the Crocodile Resort; The inside of the resort's hotel. "Wow, what a hotel!" Chunky remarked as he looked around in awe.
Lanky snickered and nodded in agreement. "You know it! If this place wasn't run by Kremlings, I'd love to go out here for vacation some time! But there's no time for vacation right now, we gotta save Donkey, Diddy and Dixie!" He replied to Chunky, who nodded as the two Kongs began to make their way through the hotel, defeating multiple Kritters that were roaming around through the hotel.
"Y-You'd think that K. Rool would start getting smarter and not hire grunt soldiers that can be defeated as easily as these Kritters can..." Chunky remarked as him and Lanky continued defeating the Kritters.
"Yeah, after all those defeats K. Rool has suffered at our hands, you'd expect the fat dude to start hiring stronger goons, but apparently not. Eh, it doesn't matter. Makes it easier for us to save our friends, y'know?" Lanky replied to Chunky, who nodded at Lanky's words.
"I-I guess you do have a point there, Lanky...We should be glad to take advantage of the weakness of K. Rool's minions..." Chunky replied back to Lanky. Suddenly, the Kongs ran into a group of Klumps that were assigned to stop them.
"Hold it right there, Kongs! We're on the orders of King K. Rool to hinder your progress, so this is where your journey ends!" One of the Klumps firmly told Chunky and Lanky, who proceeded to look at each other.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Chunky?" Lanky asked Chunky with a grin.
"Y-Yes I am, Lanky..." Chunky smiled back as the two Kongs proceeded to curl into a ball and proceeded to bowl themselves into the group of Klumps, defeating them all with relative ease.
"N-Now that's what I call bowling a big one." Chunky giggled a little bit at his joke.
"There you go, Chunky! You're slowly but surely getting into the spirit of this adventure! Now let's head up that elevator and see what other surprises the Kremlings have hidden for us inside this hotel!" Lanky grinned as him and Chunky proceeded to step inside a nearby elevator and took it up to the next floor.
The elevator proceeded to take Chunky and Lanky up to the roof of the hotel, and as soon as the Kongs stepped out of the elevator, it proceeded to malfunction and drop down the shaft.
"W-Whew! Glad we stepped out of that elevator in time..." Chunky breathed a huge sigh of relief.
"Tell me about it. Had we stayed inside that elevator a second longer, we would've been Krushafied." Lanky agreed as him and Chunky proceeded to jump on the End of the Level Target that was situated on the roof, claiming the DK Coin on top in the process.
"Hooray! We got another DK Coin!" Chunky beamed.
"We sure did, Chunky! Now let's move on to the next area of this place!" Lanky grinned as him and Chunky moved on to the next area of the Crocodile Resort.
Upon entering the next area of the Crocodile Resort, Chunky and Lanky were met with the Crocodile Resort's boss; A polar bear wearing a purple Hawaiian shirt and purple sunglasses named Paulie Bear. Paulie was sitting inside a cart of a ferris wheel, just carefreely eating cotton candy on a stick.
"Whoa, what a ferris wheel!" Lanky said as he looked at the ferris wheel in awe.
"Y-Yeah...If we weren't on a quest, I would've taken the time to stop and ride this thing..." Chunky agreed as he looked at the ferris wheel.
Paulie heard Chunky and Lanky's voices, and looked down to see the Kongs. His eyes widened upon seeing them, and he proceeded to toss his cotton candy on a stick away as he let out a roar, which got the attention of the Kongs.
"You! What are you Kongs doing out here?! King K. Rool said that there's no Kongs allowed on this island!" Paulie angrily told the Kongs.
"W-Well, gee, sorry, sir...We didn't mean to bother you or anything...We were just trying to find our way out of here so we could find our friends..." Chunky frowned upon seeing Paulie acting so hostile.
"Turn around and head back to your own island now before I'm forced to deal with you!" Paulie growled at the Kongs once more.
"Sorry, pal. Not a chance." Lanky replied as he folded his arms in front of his chest with a scowl on his face.
"Very well, you silly Kongs! This means war!" Paulie roared as multiple Kremlings proceeded to pop out of the seats of the ferris wheel and the ferris wheel began moving.
"Cripes! Looks like we'll have to deal with this guy and his minions if we wanna make it to the next area of this island, Lanky..." Chunky told Lanky.
"Sure looks like it, Chunky! Well, let's give this guy a good whupping!" Lanky agreed as him and Chunky ran over to the one seat of the ferris wheel that wasn't occupied and stepped inside as they took to the skies above the Crocodile Resort.
Paulie's minions proceeded to attack the Kongs by throwing coconuts at them, which the Kongs proceeded to dodge. Once the Kongs were at the highest point of the ferris wheel, the ferris wheel proceeded to stop as the Kremlings climbed out of their seats and began climbing up the ferris wheel to get to the Kongs.
"Oh no, they're climbing up here! What do we do, Lanky?" Chunky asked Lanky with a worried look.
Lanky proceeded to look around the seat before noticing something strange. "What the heck? Is it Chinese New Year already? There's a box of Orange Grenades in here!" He remarked before an idea hit him, and he grinned.
"I have an idea, Chunky! Let's give these Kremlings a taste of their own fireworks!" Lanky said as him and Chunky began throwing Orange Grenades at the Kremlings, defeating them and causing them to drop down off of the ferris wheel. Once all Kremlings were defeated, the ferris wheel started up again as more Kremlings popped up from the seats of the ferris wheel.
Chunky and Lanky continued to throw Orange Grenades at the approaching Kremlings whenever the ferris wheel would stop until Paulie eventually had enough and began climbing up the ferris wheel himself.
"That's it! I can't stand to see my Kremling minions be bombarded with explosives any longer! I'm coming up there to deal with you myself!" Paulie growled as he climbed up the ferris wheel.
"I wouldn't count on it, fluffybuns. Let's drop this guy a few presents, shall we, Chunky?" Lanky grinned as him and Chunky began dropping several Orange Grenades down onto Paulie's head, causing the Orange Grenades to explode and damage Paulie.
"Okay, now it's my turn to dish out some justice, Chunky Kong style!" Chunky declared as he hopped down the ferris wheel and proceeded to beat the living daylights out of Paulie before sending him flying off into the distance, disappearing in a blink of light.
Chunky and Lanky then jumped out of the ferris wheel, and Lanky high fived Chunky for a job well done. "Great job, Chunky! You really showed that polar bear what for!" Lanky happily told Chunky.
"Thanks, Lanky! I was happy to use my strength to our advantage!" Chunky replied with a prideful smile.
"Well, I'd say we're done in this area of Neo Crocodile Island, so let's get outta here and move on to the next area!" Lanky grinned as him and Chunky began making their towards the next area of Neo Crocodile Island.
