Chapter 1: Servants.
Note: Alright my doods! Here is another story for y'all and this one holds an incredibly unique concept that my co author actually thought of and I am fully immersed into the concept of the story so let me explain.
The story will hold fate inspired themes such as Heroic Spirits being assigned to masters for a war however this isn't the traditional holy grail wars which is where Masters and Servants fight each other to gain a wish except this sort of war is, based on my own comparison, is based on Yugioh style battling except holding 40 Cards and dueling each other. These 'Masters' will hold 1-3 Cards of various heroic spirits to fight on the masters behalf.
The concept of this particular story comes from a story my Co Author had read which is called Fate Infinity Shuffle by TYPE-WRITER FTK and I heard it's a good story.
But in any case, The concept of Tablets made of pure metal holding spirits is interesting given betting is allowed that can range from money, to the cards themselves to even things most wouldn't think about *Cough* Sex *Cough*.
Additional this idea will also encompass another story trope that I tried to do called 'Unforeseen Conflicts' which is about Jaune Arc starting his own kingdom with Heroic Spirits, I'll be using this idea but limiting the number of servants immensely to ensure I myself isn't overwhelmed by the amount of characters.
Another trait I'm including is that I'm restructuring Jaune Arc, the main character of the series and modeling him after another character and I know your going to say then that wouldn't be Jaune which, it's fanfiction what did you expect, but this story will have points that can add up.
But anyway, the specific character I'm using as a base is Darth Sion and anyone who knows the Dark Lord of Pain will realize the exact format I'm going for in terms of character such as a powerful dark side user who's more focused on physical combat but with Jaune he will be a certain mixture of Nihilus and Sion aka both the physical and magical aspects that the force has but I have a unique twist to this.
Jaune will be somewhat the same as he was in canon, being very kind, smart and overall the same dorky guy but you can be the nicest guy around while still capable of being a dark side user.
Jaune's Semblance will be called Transcendence which is basically my reformed version of the force and a lot of his power that surrounds him will be situated around Dark Side Powers but I'll try to only pick powers that aren't absurdly powerful like Force Storm or something.
Anyway Regarding Servants, all known servants in the current viewing will be displayed on the ground but this only pertains to first appearances as such if you wish to view them again then return to the page where the character first appeared.
Also, Regarding Romance, It will be an oc based on a Vtuber and based on the visual aspect and traits, I think you guys can make the connection on whom she's referenced too.
Last thing, I promise, in addition to the romance and the aspect of the story means I need to age Jaune up by at least 3 years because everything so far would then mesh well far more easily, only Jaune gets aged up the rest will remain.
—
Ozpin, Headmaster of the illustrious and extremely difficult school of Beacon Academy which is a Huntsman and Huntress school which trains fighters to become protectors and defenders of Human and Faunus Kind from monsters known as Grimm.
Yet the Headmaster was far more than what many would initially assume as in truth that he was a Wizard that has been in the world for thousands of years under the mission to unite remnant against a very old darkness of his past yet even thousands of years, Ozpin was still unable to unite people against the Grimm which is to be expected as humanity is a radically different people with different ideals, desires and mindsets.
A mission the old Wizard has believed would be extremely difficult to accomplish that would take, many many life times and numerous bodies due to his reincarnation curse which has led to the present of being the headmaster to a school to help lead soldiers against the armies of his past.
However recently, something miraculously, mind boggling and quite possibly fearful has occurred recently.
"I'm sorry Peter but could you repeat that?" A man in a green suit with black shades down the bridge of his nose was currently holding a shaking cup of coffee yet it wasn't a sugar rush that the man named Ozpin was experiencing but a wave of fear and tiredness and wondered if he hadn't drank enough coffee.
An elderly portly man in a red professor's outfit was standing abit away from the glass desk that the silver man used for his business as headmaster, Peter Port was his name, he was currently stroking his large white mustache that is no less the word then MANLY but did as he was requested.
"Right, I'll explain one more time, Ozpin. I was out in the emerald forest culling some Grimm for practice because I can't allow myself to grow weak" Peter started his explanation.
Ozpin gave a nod and a casual "Obviously" as every member of beacon's staff occasionally goes to the Emerald Forest or Forever Falls to keep up their skills in Grimm slaying so they don't get too comfortable while they teach the younger generation.
"I was slaying Beowolves left and right with my blunderweiss and the occasional fisting hoho! But when I reached the relic spot in the forest from initiation but suddenly, I see two relic type things so I investigated wondering if you forgotten them from initiation then suddenly, these people just showed up out of nowhere claiming me to be their master and awaited orders so I immediately came to you if you know what is going on" Peter has finished his explanation.
The silver haired wizard had absolutely idea on what was going on in the portly man's story as even in the old wizards past where a concept known as magic was common then it was in the modern age, summoning creatures was incredibly while nowadays, the only concept of summoning is usually tied to the Schnee families semblance.
So Ozpin didn't know what exactly what was going on but he certainly knew Magic somehow has a place in it, The old wizard spoke up to the academy professor "Well Peter, if what you say is the case then show me these tablets and I'll see if I can figure what they are"
The Mustached man simply nodded as he dug into his inner coat pockets on his chest trying to get the tablets he found then produced them from his coat and placed it onto the glass desk.
They appeared to be thin card looking tablets of pure gold, aside from the designs on the outer edge, they seem to have different internal designs.
The first card on the left of Ozpin seems to have what appears to be a strange looking human with tendrils sprouting from the back or more like spikes and holding what was obviously a sniper rifle of some model, while the second design was human in shape yet it's body was thinner and sleeker with two tentacles going around each other giving off a DNA Helix look.
Ozpin took up the one that had the helix design to examine the card itself, it was obvious that magic radiated from the card yet it was weak to him though it must've been just his attuned senses towards magic that the silver man has managed to retain after thousands of years but to the average person, these would've just been seen as collectibles made from solid precious metal.
The silver man then tried to bend the card as with how thin the metal tablet was, it should be relatively easy to bend, only if that were true, as despite how much strength and aura that Ozpin pushed into trying to bend with immense exertion, the card did not budge or bent in the slightly meaning it was a hell of a lot tougher than it looked.
Ozpin placed the card back onto the desk "Well Peter, I have absolutely no clue what exactly you found but during my experience as Headmaster, I have seen many things in my time yet I have no clue what this is" which is indeed true, Ozpin has seen many things in his innumerable amount of years yet the card that harbored Magic, seems like something Ozpin's ex-wife would've done.
Maybe this is Salem's latest attempt to kill him, if it was then it was a poor attempt unless there was something the old man wasn't able to see.
"Well Ozpin, maybe you'd figure something out if I could bring one out?" The Mustached Huntsman asked which Ozpin gave a nod, it would make some of the answers to these questions come to light.
Ozpin would nod to which the white haired portly man would pick up the one with the sniper which was curious to the silver haired huntsman but chose not to speak up.
Peter Port would then say "I command you to appear" when the card started to glow bright and a bright like figure appeared to morph into the figure Ozpin seen etched into the card.
The creature was obviously not human yet humanoid shape, it had dark brown skin more akin to scales then any but also has piercing blue eyes with the left one behind a holographic sight enhancer.
The creature seemed to be wearing metallic blue armor with a large collar that seemed to not be used to obstruct the creature's throat and an obvious but strange model of a sniper on the back.
"Greetings" it said with a deeper tone which indicated that it was a male, it was fascinating to the silver haired huntsman and it also detailed a form of sentience to speak words with meaning.
Ozpin took a sip of the coffee that was laid neglected on the glass table before speaking up hopefully to claw out some answers to this mystery "…do you have a name?"
The creature seemed to chuckle slightly "Yeah, names Garris, Garris Vakarian, though you may consider me a member of the Archer Class" He had said which answered Ozpin's question but also given him more questions then before one of which was the designation as 'Archer'
"Archer?" Ozpin was unsure what the alien looking person included that into his profile but initially assumed that it must've been a designation that he was assigned in his time.
Garris seemed to nod at this "Yeah, I'm a heroic spirit, a being from a different dimension given form due to a temporary miracle from the Holy Grail which was SUPPOSED to give us a wish but never trust something like that…" The spiked head creature seemed to give more information regarding the exact nature of his being yet Ozpin has no idea about the concept of 'Holy Grail' yet this concept seemed to imply far more than they had said.
Ozpin took another sip of his coffee as he is certainly going to need it before speaking up "And what is a 'Holy Grail' ?"
Garris seemed to grow silent for a moment as his eyes seemed to flicker towards port, who was stroking his mustache, was watching the alien sniper before moving his eyes back to Ozpin "All I can tell you under personal reasons that it's an object that's seemed to be apart of human history, the type of history an old friend of mine had told me about. It's said to be filled with magic that it grants us our forms but if you want to know more, look for someone else" Garris seemed to be rather cagey, well appeared to be based on Ozpin's observation, then he went quiet.
Ozpin seemed to think of the information 'Well, he may not trust me but that seemed to be the case since he was brought here to be examined plus his eyes indicated an experienced sniper meaning the alien man was incredibly perceptive so that may have added to his distrust…troublesome but nothing I haven't worked around before'
"I see, well thank you so you may return to your…home, while me and your master can discuss this matter further" Ozpin requested which Garris gave a nod before his body turned into golden energy and returned to the card that Peter was holding.
Ozpin took a sip of the coffee then finished the cup and spoke up "Well that was an enlightening conversation Peter"
"It seemed to be though I don't know why he seemed to be on edge with you, he seemed to have been treating me like one would treat an old friend" Peter exclaimed as he thought it was weird when Garris was all buddy buddy an hour prior but then clammed up the moment he was used to speak to the headmaster.
Ozpin seemed to grunt at this though luckily the whole situation of 'Spirits' being contained in metal cards is luckily contained to Peter so this will be a situation more or less dusted under the metaphorical rug until the silver wizard could find some material in his private library to see if he had recorded anything in his past that he has forgotten over the years.
Ozpin then looked at the other card as Peter began to grab it "What about the other one?" He would ask the manly huntsman which Peter looked down at the card curiously.
"I don't think so Ozpin, when I summoned them for the first time, the one that Garris called 'Foreigner' didn't seem to speak common but understood us clearly so talking with it may be more difficult than it was for our alien friend" Peter explained the situation which Ozpin would understand more though wondered what else could be made into a heroic spirit.
However the comment on beings of other dimensions may be a factor on why the old wizard wasn't able to figure out what exactly was happening was because they didn't originate in remnant or in their dimension so this could be a problem to Ozpin, as well as a problem to his Ex-Wife if she ever discovered this and hoped that if she did then she wouldn't have anything remotely useful but Ozpin's luck would not be so kind to him.
"Well let's hope this whole nonsense is only limited to you" Ozpin exclaimed as he placed his mug down onto the glass table only for his hopes to be dashed entirely as Port went through his scroll to showcase a picture that he took in secret.
It appeared to be Velvet Scarlatina, a second year student in Beacon Academy, and is seen beating the ever living hell out of Cardin Winchester, a first year student from about a month prior, while a man in a green vest and blue pants while a wearing a white coat with red flames was trying to obviously stop the bunny girl while another person who was female with bright bubblegum skin and white hair seemed to be laughing herself silly.
"I took this about several days prior, initially I only did so as to keep a record of and her new friends but it seemed that those two are also spirits of the same cards I also hold" Peter explained the situation though made it clear back then, he had absolutely no clue on what was going on but now he understands the exact true and nature of them.
Ozpin groaned deeply as he pushed up his black shades to pinch the bridge of his nose as if to try and alleviate some of his tension as he knew Qrow, another comrade of his, was rubbing his bad luck onto him as this nonsense just got three times more complicated as while he himself can sense the magic, in terms of the ordinary citizen, they would only see this as normal cards of pure metal which in terms of the eyes of the law of vale was completely legal to have.
Ozpin reopened his eyes which seemed much tired previously. "Well, if my luck hasn't turned rotten then you and would be the only ones to have these magic cards and nothing else will happen."
Yet it seems that luck has indeed turned rotten as the doors to Ozpin's office opened showcasing a man in black pants, gray shirt and a tattered red cape with a sword on the back of the belt "Ozzie! You will not believe what just happened today! I don't know if my luck is starting to turn but I got a fantastic thing to report!"
Ozpin immediately slammed his face onto the glass table where the black shades fell off without a scratch as Ozpin shouted "what is with my luck today!" Exclaiming that this was just the beginning of what was happening now.
