"So, the building might be a bit maze-like, it's technically three buildings connected, or more like four I suppose." Soren said, pushing open the door so that Floor and Rocket could walk in. "So you'll pretty much have this part of the building to yourselves if you want, me and Tikki can give you two some privacy while you get settled in." He said as Tikki, the snake-like alien that was apparently Soren's son, gave Rocket a flat look as he passed him a bundle that the snake had been levitating with some kind of telekinesis.

"Thanks." Rocket mumbled taking the bundle that contained the projects he'd started working on in the ship. Tikki simply nodded and wandered off deeper into the building.

"Be careful if you go downstairs, this part used to be some kind of garage, and there's still some stuff down there I never quite got around to cleaning out." Soren casually leaned against the doorway. "Oh, i'll be making dinner soon, is there anything you can't eat? Allergies?"

Rocket wasn't actually sure if they were allergic to anything, their diet before now had been too…regulated was probably the best way to put it, but there was one thing. "Floor can't eat meat." Floor nodded along with Rocket's statement as if to confirm it. Soren gave them a quick smile and a thumbs up before ducking out and leaving the two alone.

Floor seemed distracted by something as she shuffled around the room. The room at least seemed comfortable, soft seafoam green carpet that tickled at Rocket's paws covering the whole room before cutting off at the staircase leading down into the workshop Soren had mentioned, the walls just slightly darker in color with a pair of doors on either side. Rocket wasn't exactly an architect, but he thought he could grow to like the place.

Floor pushed open all the doors revealing their bedrooms, the bathroom and kitchen in her attempt to follow something only she seemed to be able to see. "Rocket, you feel?" She looked at him, head cocked inquisitively.

"I mean the place feels comfortab-"

"No! The..the! Gah it feels like circles." Floor grumbled at him, seeming upset at her inability to properly explain what she was feeling.

"Is it a bad feeling? Because we don't have to stay here." Rocket asked, more than willing to jump ship and leave if Floor felt uncomfortable.

"No, it's fine, feels safe, like safe circles." Floor mumbled. Rocket wasn't sure what she was actually feeling, maybe she was just glad to have a space that was freely their's and not a cage. Lylla was always better at figuring out what Floor meant, Teefs too for that matter. He froze at the thought, how much it hurt, he missed them both so much.

Floor continued looking around the rooms, ears twitching as she walked. Rocket shuffled past her into the probably unused kitchen and set the bundle on the table before sitting down. They were safe now, safer than they were anyways. Rocket wasn't sure what to actually do now, this was further than he'd ever thought ahead. The plan when it was four of them had been to take a ship and just keep going forever, but there weren't four of them anymore. Floor seemed perfectly content settling down in one spot, at least for now.

Soren had said downstairs used to be a garage, Rocket was pretty good at fixing things, maybe he could cajole the Kymellian letting him run some sort of repair business. Something to think about for later, for now though. "Hey Floor, do you wanna see the ocean tomorrow?"

Floor's ears perked up and she turned to him, hopping in place excitedly. "Yes! Rocket, Floor see ocean!" Rocket smiled, patting Floor on the head before slinking downstairs to have a look around.

Soren wasn't kidding, the garage part of the building was a mess, trash and half filled boxes took up part of the room, though he was surprised by what took up most of the space in the garage. It was in pieces, no way it would work in its current state, but it was very obviously some kind of Landspeeder. Narrow arrow shape with a sealed cockpit..that was technically five feet away from the rest of it on the floor. Rocket wondered if Soren even knew this was down here, he had to right? Something to think about for later, he wasn't even sure what he'd do with a speeder even if the thing was running.

After another quick glance Rocket went back upstairs just in time to catch Floor staring sadly out the window. It only lasted a moment before she crawled over to him.

"Don't go downstairs, at least till it gets cleaned up ok, fluff?"

"Ok!" Floor said in a tone that made Rocket think she'd forget by tomorrow and go down there anyways, well it wasn't too big of a deal nothing down there could actually hurt her.

"Knock knock," Tikki's voice called out, muffled by the door before it opened, letting him slither in, a trio of bowls floating just above his head. "Dad said to bring you your food, so here this one's for Floor." he said, passing along one of the bowls, filled to the brim with green plants that Rocket couldn't really identify before passing another filled with some kind of soup to Rocket. "And that one is for you."

Tikki was already on his way out of the room when Floor spoke up. "Tikki doesn't want to eat with us?"

Tikki stiffened up, seeming to freeze in place before turning around completely. "I-i um, i can?" He said nervously. "If that's what you want?"

Rocket tapped the floor beside him telling the serpent to pick a spot, before trying the soup. The sheer rapture of the soup prevented him from saying much of anything as the three ate together in silence. It was the single best thing he'd ever eaten in his life, not that the competition up to this point had been particularly fierce.

He wasn't going to lie, it felt incredibly awkward to have someone that wasn't Lylla or Teefs eating with them. It wasn't necessarily a bad feeling though.
