Day 10: "It's alright, I'm here now."
They sat side by side on the sofa. The TV guide and remote were long forgotten on the coffee table. The MGM's Lion roared as the movie was about to start. In the microwave, the popcorn was loudly popping. Outside, the wind roared, making one of her beloved plant pots crash loudly on the balcony floor.
Nothing mattered.
She was looking into his eyes, feeling so incredibly happy. Warmth spread through her chest. She was in love, so very much in love with this man. This silly, goofy man. She caressed his cheek, returning his grin. She kissed him sweetly. Pulling back, she took a deep breath, summoning all her courage. It was now or never. She could do it. She could tell him how much she li.. loves him.
"I.."
A loud clutter took her attention. A large bowl of popcorn just got dropped on the coffee table. Rusty plopped on the sofa next to them. "It's alright, I'm here now."
