Rose arrived back at the inn to find Mary at reception. "Good evening Rose" Mary smiled "Hi Mary" Rose replied "where are Tilly and Sophia?" Mary frowned, confused "oh, they're with Jack" "Jack Dawson? How come?" Mary frowned "I think we need to meet for coffee tomorrow or something Mary, I have a lot of explaining to do…" "OK dear, but are you OK? You're worrying me a little" "I'm fine Mary, honest. Me and the girls are going to stay with Jack from tonight onwards. I'm just here to collect our stuff… I'll explain everything tomorrow if that's OK? I promised Tilly I wouldn't be long…" she said awkwardly "yes, of course" Mary nodded "would you like me to refund you for the rest of your stay?" Mary asked kindly "no, not at all. You've been nothing but kind to me, please keep it" Rose nodded "thank you" Mary smiled "I best get up to my room and get packing. Please could you not tell anyone about this yet? Not until we've spoken" Rose asked "you have my word" she nodded in response and gave Rose a hug before Rose walked upstairs and packed her and the girls stuff.
Once packed, she walked downstairs to leave. Mary was still in the living room so she thanked her again and said goodbye, before walking back to Jack's with the duffel bags of their stuff.

Rose walked through the front door with the bags "hello!" She said "shhh" Jack replied from the living room. Rose was confused so went in. She found Tilly curled in to Jack's side, fast asleep on the sofa "oh bless her" she chuckled to herself "she properly trapped you there… sorry" she smiled "not at all" he laughed as he kept his arm round Tilly's shoulder. "Did you get all your stuff?" He asked her quietly "yes thank you" she nodded "I have a huge favour to ask though" she said with a guilty face "please could you carry the pram upstairs when I take Sophia up… the Moses basket at the inn wasn't mine and I didn't want to ask Mary if I could take it until I buy a new one" "oh that's OK… I found my old one in the attic earlier when you left before Tilly fell asleep. I've put it in your room" he smiled gently "oh Jack… thank you…" she smiled gratefully "how come you have a Moses basket?" She asked confused "oh, when my parents had me, they planned to have more children, so they kept it just incase. Obviously they never had anymore so it's been in the loft ever since. Don't worry, it's been plastic wrapped the whole time. It's not got dust on or anything" he tried to reassure her "thank you, so much" she held back tears, grateful for his kindness. She sat near Tilly on the sofa and looked at her "she trusts you, you know" she nodded "how do you know?" He frowned confused "she's scared of men, Jack. This time last week there is no way she would have cuddled up and fallen asleep on anyone other than me… and here she is now, happily asleep on you" she smiled gently and moved some hair from Tilly's face. Jack smiled gently "well she's a lovely kid. Really Rose, you've done such a good job with the 2 of them" "I think Sophia might be a tad too young to comment on yet" she smirked "well, I know for sure" he nodded with a gentle smile. Rose blushed in response "thank you…"
"I should probably get her to bed… would you mind carrying her up please?" Rose asked "course not" he said standing and lifting Tilly up carefully. Rose followed them upstairs with her stuff and in to the room Tilly was staying in. "Thank you" she said quietly as she got a pair of pyjamas out for her "I'll just get her changed and tucked in then I'll be down" she smiled "OK" he whispered. Rose carefully sat Tilly up, trying her best not to wake her. She got her changed as easily as she could and laid her back down, kissing her head and tucking her in before going back downstairs.

Jack had just sat back down on the sofa "I've made you a cup of tea" he smiled and passed it to her "thank you" she said, taking the cup from him and sitting down. "Are you working tomorrow?" She asked "yes… good old Monday's, hey?" He chuckled "what time will you be home?" She replied "erm, I finish at 4, so around 4.20ish. I don't know what time you get up in the morning but I leave around 7. I work 8-4" he smiled a little "I'll probably be awake, depending on Sophia… Tilly normally sleeps until about 9. Almost unheard of for a 5 year old" she chuckled "if you let me know what you like, I will make you some dinner for when you get home" she smiled "you don't have to" he replied kindly "I want to… please Jack, you're letting me and the girls live here for free… let me at least make you meals" she pleaded "OK" he nodded "I like Jacket Potatoes" he smiled "the most basic meal to make" she laughed "do you not trust me to cook you something edible?" She smirked "I may have had people wait on me my whole life, but I can make decent meals you know" she laughed "I have no doubts" he laughed.
"Do you have any plans for tomorrow?" He asked "I'm going to meet Mary for a coffee, to explain why I've come to stay here… I don't know whether to tell her about Cal and my surname… can I trust her not to tell anyone?" She asked unsure. "You can trust Mary with your life… honestly. She'll understand and won't share your business" Jack promised, Rose sighed with relief "thank you… I guess I'll tell all tomorrow" she nodded.
They sat there in a comfortable silence for a minute before Rose put her mug on the coffee table "thanks for that… it's just what I needed" "you're welcome" he smiled. The two of them just stared at each other for a moment, both their heads and hearts full of emotions. Feeling as though they were back on the Titanic, Jack lent forward and kissed her gently before pulling away "sorry… sorry, I know you said we couldn't be together yet" he said apologetically. Rose just ignored him and lent forward herself, kissing him in response. Before they knew it, the kiss had become passionate, Rose had just stared to unbutton his shirt when they were interrupted by cries from the corner of the room- Sophia's cries. Rose laughed in to the kiss before pulling away "I forgot she was in here" she groaned, getting a laugh from Jack in response. Climbing off the sofa, she walked over to Sophia and lifted her up. "You sure know how to pick your timings, don't you little lady?" she chuckled, kissing her daughters head. "I think she's hungry… I should probably head upstairs and feed her… and put her in a proper crib… the poor kid has more or less slept in her crib for the last 36 hours, bless her… sorry" she said to Jack, feeling guilty that their encounter had been cut short, also disappointed herself. "Don't apologise, she comes first" he nodded, understanding. Rose's heart melted, knowing that Jack really did understand her love for the girls. "Maybe we can continue it tomorrow night?" Rose raised an eyebrow "I'd like that very much" he nodded, walking over and kissing her forehead "night Rose" he said before stroking Sophia's head "night Sophia" he whispered "night Jack" she smiled and walked up the stairs.
