Kobayashi panted. After thinking over the offer a bit more, she asked if they could train. While she heard her power was equal to Tohru's and Elma's, she was not yet used to her new powers. Yong could easily tell that she wasn't used to them and also seemed afraid of them. However, he could tell that she was trying not to let that fear get to her. She clearly had a bit of fighting skills thanks to Tohru and Elma teaching her the basics. However, she was still a newborn dragon, not having a lot of control over her magic. It acted on its own, mostly to protect her.

"Kobayashi," He said, stopping her.

"You need to have better control over your magic. You can't let it act on its own." Yong said.

"How? I've only been like this for a few weeks. It's hard enough that I have to hide my horns and tail whenever I go out." Kobayashi told him.

Now he sees the problem. They had forgotten to tell her the basics of dragon magic. And from what he could tell, she using earth magic.

"Very well, come here," Yong said, making her walk up to him.

"Sit down." He said, sitting.

Kobayashi did and Yong took a breath.

"As far back as anyone could remember, magic has existed in many beings. Dragons are one of the few creatures that can use magic from the moment of birth. However, magic is a tricky thing. It can act on its own without someone making it. It might seem like a good thing at first, but many dragons learn the hard way that if they don't control it, it becomes very dangerous to everyone around them. It's so dangerous that not even the Chaos Faction allows that to happen. You're a special case. You carry one of the three main magics. Earth magic." Yong said.

"Earth magic?" Kobayashi asked.

"Yes. Tohru carries Fire magic and Elma carries Water Magic. Since you were born human, your magic is out of control. It has helped you so far, but it will soon act out if don't control it. And you need to stop fearing it." He added.

"Fearing?" Kobayashi asked.

"I know you wish to be human again, but you can't keep fearing your magic. It's that same fear that keeps your dragon form locked away." Yong said.

Kobayashi looked away, unsure of what to think. Yong places his hand on her shoulder, making her look up.

"And you need to stop fighting those feelings you have. It's making it worse." He added.

"What?" Kobayashi asked.

"I've seen how Tohru acts around you. I can sense that you want to return them, but you're fighting the feelings because you're afraid. That fear is keeping you from fully understanding your powers." Yong said, seeing her look away.

He sighs, knowing that she has to overcome that herself. But first, he needed to make sure she understood her magic better.

"Tell me, besides the claws, what else has your magic done?" He asked.

Meanwhile,

Tohru watched Yong talk to Kobayashi, still surprised that Yong wanted to train her as well as take her under his wing. She was fully awhile that made him Kobaya's master until her training was complete.

Elma was surprised as well. She knew of Yong and how he was much wiser than most other dragons. He was a few centuries younger than her grandmother and Tohru's father, but he seemed to learn more about the world than any other dragon. She also knew that being taken under someone's wing could take centuries before they are declared that their training is complete.

Both young dragons sigh, knowing that they have yet to complete their training as well.

"Tohru?" Elma said.

"Yeah?"

"What would you do if someone else fell in love with Miss Kobayashi and she did the same?" Elma asked, surprising her.

"Well...I don't know, really. I've never seen her show interest in anything besides maids." Tohru said, thinking.

"Why do you ask?" Tohru asked her.

Elma started to think to herself. She has yet to tell Tohru, but she starting to think that her feelings are growing. She fell for Tohru over their travels, and she could feel that her feelings towards Miss Kobayashi were growing as well. She was so nice to her, despite how they met. And even helped her understand how to work in this world since the last time she was here. And then there was that whole pillar thing she misunderstood. Elma couldn't deny it. Her feelings towards Kobayashi were the same as her feelings towards Tohru.

"I...think I'm falling for Miss Kobayashi too." She finally said, shocking Tohru.

"What?" She asked, shocked.

"As dragons, love is something we don't fully understand. I know you love her because she saved your life and lets you stay with her. Since I have stayed in this world, I've started to notice more about myself. I don't want to get in your way, but I feel that we both should act on these feelings before the BEAST is unleashed." Elma said.

Tohru wanted to hit Elma for declaring to be in love with Miss. Kobayashi, but didn't. She knew Elma. She would never steal anything from her. It wasn't her way. Still, learning that Elma was getting feelings for Kobayashi as well was a surprise.

"Alright." She said, sighs.

"I know you, Elma, you would never steal Miss. Kobayashi away from me. I don't like it, but even I can't stop you from seeking out love. Just remember that she was mine first." Tohru said.

"Oh? Afraid of a little competition?" Elma smirks.

"Hardly," Tohru said, rolling her eyes.

However, both dragons didn't take it any farther. They knew they had to tell Kobayashi soon or they might not get their chance when the BEAST is freed.

Later,

The three return to the apartment, Kobayashi having absorbed everything that Yong told her about dragon magic. Did she really fear her dragon form? Was she lying to herself about it the whole time? Yong told her that if she kept fearing it, it would start working against her and start hurting the people around her. She didn't want that! Magi was trying to turn her against her friends and she was fearing herself!

"Miss. Kobayashi?"

She turns to see both Tohru and Elma looking unsure about something.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

Tohru steps up first, taking a breath. She's wanted to do this for a long time. Before Kobayashi could ask again, Tohru grabbed her shoulders and kissed her. Kobayashi looked shocked before Tohru broke it. Before she could ask what that was about, Elma also kissed her.

Once Elma broke it, both girls looked really shy and upset.

"Tohru, Elma, what?" Kobayashi asked, confused.

"We're sorry, Miss Kobayashi," Elma said.

"Since we don't know when that BEAST will be unleashed, we didn't want to wait. We're afraid that we might never get our chance." Tohru added.

Kobayashi just stood there. She was fully aware of Tohru's feelings, having mentioned it many times. But she had no idea Elma felt that way too. Was this what Yong was talking about?

"Why? I mean, Tohru I understand. But why you, Elma?" She asked.

"You were so nice to me, despite how I destroyed your living and dining room when we first met. You even helped me when I first started working at the same place you do. You helped me so much and even called me your friend. Not many humans would do that. I just started to notice my feelings towards you today." Elma said.

Kobayashi wasn't sure what to think. All this happened so fast.

'Stop being afraid! The more afraid you are, the more Magi will win!'

Kobayashi sighs. She was still unsure about this. However, both of them did look worried and upset about their actions.

"Alright." She said, confusing the two.

"I'm unsure about this, but I'll tell you both what. Together, we can sleep in the same bed. Kanna is spending the night at Saikawa's." Kobayashi said, making Tohru ever happy.

"BUT!" She said, giving a serious face look.

"We're not to do anything, understand!? If you two so much as fight, I'm kicking you both out. Are we clear?" Kobayashi told them.

"Yes, Miss Kobayashi!" Both Tohru and Elma said.

"Wait, isn't your bed too small for all three of us? I remember that Kanna and I had to sleep on the floor back in your old apartment." Tohru asked.

"That's true," Kobayashi said, seeing her point.

"I guess we can use your and Kanna's bed, then." She said, sighing.

Both dragons nodded with Kobayashi sighing. She hopes this doesn't backfire on her.

Outside,

Mother Nature smiled as she watched the three get ready for bed and could feel Kobayashi's love for them grow. Magi was wrong, he wasn't driving her away from the others. He was bringing them closer.

"Follow your heart, Miss Kobayashi. Dragon or Human, you have brought much joy in your life." She said before disappearing.

And look what's back! So a bit of training with Yong, and both Tohru and Elma decided to tell Kobayashi about their feelings. Now some of you are already aware of Tohru feelings for her, but what about Elma? Well, I'm not sure how true it is, but I do recall reading somewhere that Elma could have feelings for Kobayashi as well, but I don't remember where I read that. So, in this story, Elma also fell for Kobayashi due to how nice she was to her.

There was another Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid story I was working on where Kobayashi was born as a dragon and was part of the Spectator Faction. Much like how she is in this story, Kobayashi is an Earth Dragon and just as powerful as Tohru and Elma. The idea was that the three meet up during Tohu's and Elma's travels and all became friends. However, since Kobayashi was mistaken for a guy, lots of women flirted with her before learning she was a woman. I was writing how well the three became friends when I decided that I didn't like it and scaped it.

I do plan on trying again, but I'm not yet sure about anything I want to change. And I just had another crazy idea that covers Kobayashi's passion for Maids, but I want to hold off on that for now.
