Author's Note: Originally, I was going to have Annie attend classes during Anya's orientation, but I changed my mind. Just saying so there isn't any confusion.

'The pit in her stomach was hard to ignore. She laid curled up on her bed staring up at her ceiling. It was the girl's fourteenth birthday, it had been a few years since her father had lost custody of her to her mother. Somehow, her life was easier though. After the divorce, her mother began drinking heavily constantly. This changed how she operated, and she barely ever even acknowledged her daughter now. It hurt, but she was glad she wasn't going to be the main point of anger. She walked out to the kitchen wearing her normal pajamas, a white tank top and blue sweatpants. To her surprise, her mother was sitting on the couch with a man. She didn't know this man.

"Oh... Who is this?" She asked, glancing over at her mother sheepishly. Hoping not to cause her any anger.

"This is my new boyfriend, say hi!" Her mother exclaimed, giddy from the alcohol.

"H-Hi..." She stuttered, and then walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bowl of cereal and eating it. After she was done, she washed her bowl and spoon off, and went back to her room. It had become her safe space, the one place she didn't need to be around her mother. After a few minutes, the door creaked softly and she tensed up. She turned and saw the man that her mother had been talking to standing at the doorway.

"Sorry... Your mother asked me to check on you." Liar, her mother didn't give two shits about her. She acknowledged this a long time ago.

"Okay, well... I'm fine." She said, and then turned, continuing to read her book. The worst part about this? She could feel him, staring at her from the door. He walked away shortly thereafter, and she was relieved. She hoped that her mother would get over him quickly and bring a new, less-creepy guy into her life.

Annie woke up, wondering why she was even dreaming about her past life in the first place. She desperately wanted to forget it, all of it. But it was difficult, it was almost like she wasn't being allowed to. She hated this, she shook her head and stood up. It seemed as if her dreams were flashbacks to the things she remembered, which honestly wasn't much. Her childhood was filled with trauma, so her mind blocked most of her memories out. She turned and looked at the clock, it read 6:30AM. It wasn't as early as it usually is when she wakes up, but she knew it was time to get up. After all, today was the day.

The day that they had all been waiting for, the day in which Annie and Anya finally start their year at the prestigious Eden Academy. She couldn't help but be somewhat nervous, in her past life she had never, not even once moved schools. To be fair, she hadn't in this life either, but it was still nerve racking. She sat up and looked towards Anya, who was still fast asleep. She walked out to the kitchen and began preparing something for breakfast. She felt an easy food was the go-to for today. So she began chopping up fruits. She chopped up strawberries, watermelon, honey dew and threw them into a bowl with some yogurt, she then tossed in blueberries, blackberries and raspberries and stirred it all up. She also made plain waffles for a side. It didn't take long for her family members to pile out.

"Something smells good!" Loid said as he walked out, stretching as he approached the table. "Of course, it's Annie." Loid jokes, and took a plate when Annie handed it to him. It wasn't long until her whole family was eating in the kitchen, and she sat down to eat with them.

"You're such a good cook, Annie!" Yor exclaimed, smiling softly as she ate. Anya didn't say anything as she was too busy stuffing her face, but Annie decided to take that as a compliment anyways.

Time passed, and it was ready for them to get ready for school. Annie and Anya both got dressed quickly, and then headed out to the car. Loid and Yor behind them, today Annie would get a ride to the school with her family because of Anya's orientation. On the way there, Annie gives Anya a quick pop quiz.

"How do we behave at Eden Academy?" Annie asks, looking towards Anya with a stern expression.

"Graceful and dignified." Anya responded, immediately. Annie continued on with the questions before she finally takes a break.

"And Anya..." Annie began, turning to look at her small sister. "Violence is always..." she waited for Anya to respond.

"A last resort!" Anya barked back, somewhat snarky as she had gotten annoyed with the tests. Annie had been giving them to her constantly to ensure that she doesn't punch Damian in the face this time, as hilarious as it was. As they approached the school, Anya and Annie only got more nervous. They pulled up to the parking lot, and they all got out.

"We've got to take Anya to her orientation, will you be alright on your own?" Loid asks, concerned for Annie as she's going to be a catalyst of gossip due to her enrolling so late.

"Yeah, I'll be fine!" She said, flashing Loid a reassuring smile. She then waved them off as they entered the assembly hall. Once the three of them had sat down, the assembly starts a few minutes later.

"You are the chosen few!" The headmaster exclaims, attempting to pull the students into a sense of pride and determination. "Due to your hard work, and perhaps that of your guardians, you have crossed the threshold into the hallowed halls of Eden Academy. That is a feat that only the 229 students that enrolled this year can claim. Congratulations on your achievement! From the bottom of our hearts, all of us here at Eden Academy welcome you!" Anya was excited, she couldn't wait to get started. Although, it was strange not having Annie around. "I will now announce the class and homeroom-teacher assignments" Time passed with Loid thinking to himself. 'Making this child an imperial scholar will be difficult, and although possible, there is an easier way...'

"Class 3, Cecile Hall!" The headmaster continues listing off names, until a name is said that gets Anya's attention. "Damian Desmond!" 'Thankfully... I was able to get Anya assigned to his class...' Anya was in awe of Loid's intelligence, 'If the Imperial Scholar plan proves too difficult, we go on right to plan B. What I call, the friendship scheme!'

"Anya Forger!" Anya heard her name being called, and she stood up.

"Go on up." Loid said, and smiled down at her, Yor also giving her some words of encouragement before she walked down. She stopped as she walked and found herself staring at Damian. She knew that Damian was Donovan's son. He was just a bit taller than her, he had black hair and golden-brown eyes, he wore the male's uniform of a shirt-version of he dress, with black pants. 'What's this girl's deal?' She found herself accidently reading his mind. 'Ha, I know... So she's the first to fall for my charms... She's got good taste, got to give her that.' This irritated Anya, as she had NOT fallen for any charms. Especially from a snooty brat like him, she turned with a small 'hmph' and walked to her spot. 'Shy, huh? How cute.' This kid was out of his mind, they were (legally) six. Not teenagers! Why is he thinking like this? She couldn't help but feel slightly nauseated by the thought of doing what couples do in movies with anyone, especially him.

"Becky Blackbell!" Was the next name that rang through everyone's ears. Anya watched as a girl with pretty chocolate-brown hair pulled into pigtails being held by pink scrunchies and chestnut brown eyes. She walked behind Anya and smiled softly.

"Hi there!" Becky said to Anya, feigning kindness. 'Look at this little baby, I better show her the ropes.' This annoyed Anya more than she'd like to admit, but in order to keep her own reputation up, she smiled back at Becky and with the most maturity she could muster she said...

"Hello, it's a delight to make your acquaintance." Anya said with grace and poise, surprising Becky who had been standing in behind her. Anya held her hand out gracefully and smiled at the girl who shook her hand softly.

"I... I'm Becky." Becky responded, flabbergasted by the girl's mature behavior. She thought she was just a baby, this surprised her... and she couldn't help but feel a bit of admiration for the girl.

"The 29 students in Cecile Hall will be under the care of Mr. Henderson." Anya recognized that name, and turned to look at him. He was walking towards the group, she couldn't help but wonder why he was looking after the first years. Eh, it didn't matter. "The homeroom teachers will now lead their students on a school tour and show them their classrooms, in the meantime, we'll be holding a meet-and-greet in the Hall C's lounge." She followed closely as the students piled out of the room, and glanced back as she watched Loid and Yor head to Hall C's Lounge. Her stomach sunk, the reality had finally kicked in. She was going to have to work hard to ensure she can stay in this school... She's gonna have to do a lot of tutoring with her sister and Loid.

With Annie (after they went into the assembly hall)

Okay, this was it. She successfully got into a ridiculously prestigious academy, now to act like it. She looked down at the paper she had been given. It informed her that her tour for her own school tour would be 'William Watkins'. She read it with shock, she didn't even know Bill had an older brother. This is where she's stuck, since the manga only focused on Anya's family and experience at Eden, she was going in completely blind. It said he'd meet her at the statue of the founder, so she went there. Nobody was there, so she decided to wait. Eventually, someone tapped on her shoulder.

"Are you Annie Forger?" A voice said, and Annie turned around.

"Yes, I am-" She was lucky she finished her sentence before her own shock cut her off. In front of her stood an absolute tank of a man. He was muscular... very muscular, but also had a gentle expression on his face. She also noticed that on top of his uniform was a black and white cape, meaning he was an Imperial Scholar.

"I am William Watkins, I've been assigned to give you the tour." William was surprised he was able to even get his words out, stood in front of him was a beautiful girl, her long cherry blossom colored hair cascaded in waves down her back, the sun reflecting off it gave a slight orange hue, making it look like the sunset. Her eyes, deep pools of the purest ocean water. Somehow, her just wearing the school's uniform made it look better.

"Oh!" She exclaimed, smiling softly. "Well, thank you in advance! I can't wait to see what the grounds look like!" Her voice was melodic, like every bird in the world singing beautifully at the same time. He took a deep breath and tried to pull himself together.

"Alright then, let's begin." He said, and led her throughout the halls, he showed her the dining hall, the courtyards, classrooms, everything. Until their tour came to an end, something he had been somewhat avoiding.

"Uh...Uhmm... William...?" She asked, getting his attention as she glanced at her paper, and then back up at him. "Any chance you can show me where my homeroom is?" She said, smiling softly while looking off to the side shyly. He nodded as he just couldn't muster any words, she showed him her paper, and nodded. To his relief, it was the same one she was in. This made him happy. But just as they were about to leave the dining hall, a voice echoed through their ears.

"Big sister Annie!" Annie turned around, and saw Anya running towards her. She practically jumped into her arms, and they hugged. Annie looked up and saw her class behind them, staring at them.

"Ah... nice to see you again, Miss Forger." Mr. Henderson said, and walked towards them. The class following, most of the students were confused, and their expressions mirrored that.

"Sorry about this, Mr. Henderson." Annie said, smiling softly as she nuzzled her little sister. "It must be hard for her; it had only been Pa, Ma, her and I for the longest time. I wouldn't be surprised if she's feeling a little overwhelmed." Mr. Henderson nodded in agreement, and William stared down the other students. Daring them to say something and ruin the heartfelt exchange.

"Anya." Annie said, placing her on the floor and crouching down to her level. "I know you're scared and your feelings are completely valid, but you can't run off!" Annie scolded her, earning a 'SHOCK' and a sad face from Anya. "Oh it's okay, I'm not mad at you." Annie said, hugging Anya. "Just behave from here on out, and I won't tell Pa." Annie said, putting her finger to her lips to imitate shushing. Anya nodded and walked over to Mr. Henderson.

"I am sincerely apologetic for wandering off, I was just overwhelmed and Annie has been my safe place ever since my biological mom passed away." Mr. Henderson was surprised by the girl's maturity, so gave her a pass.

"I've got to get going, I'll see you at home, Anya." Annie said, and then walked away with William. Who seemed to be thinking hard. 'Beautiful, Kind, and good with kids? I might just marry this girl.' Annie heard this by accident, she usually didn't read minds if she didn't want to, it must've slipped her mind.

"Miss Forger!" Mr. Henderson chased them down to have a conversation with them. He explained that once her tour is over, she can head to Hall C's Lounge to be reunited with her parents.

With Anya, after Mr. Henderson left.

For a bit, things were quiet with everyone talking amongst themselves. But as it is with everything, peace does not last long. Soon, the gossip began and the thoughts began swirling. 'Who was that she was pretty.' 'Why is she here today? There are no classes today'

"Anya, who was that girl?" Becky asked, effectively asking the question everyone wanted to know. Everyone fell silent, listening closely for Anya's answer.

"That is my sister, Annie. She starts Eden this year like me." Anya said calmly, ignoring the gossip from all over the room.

"Impossible!" A cocky, entitled voice was heard. They both turned to see who was talking, and it was none other than Damian Desmond. "Students are only enrolled in kindergarten. You're full of it!" He barked at Anya, accusing her of being a liar. "I know many people who tried to get in later, and they couldn't, and they were all more powerful than your family! What does your dad even do?" He said, voice full of venom.

"My papa is a psychiatrist." Anya replied, looking over at Damian. "That means he's a feelings doctor."

"So he's a total nobody, yeah that's not gonna cut it." Damian said, entitlement evident in his voice. This angered Anya, and she rolled her eyes softly at his behavior.

"Yeah, whatever you say." She said, turning away from him and continuing to talk to Becky. She had no intention of being friends with this guy, so she was going to have to stick to the Imperial Scholar plan. This move angered Damian though, as he had never had someone brush off what he had to say.

"Ignore her, Damian. She's just some random commoner!" Emile announced, before shoving Anya to the side "Get away before you get your commoner germs on him!" Anya stumbled back, but she wasn't going to stand for this. But then she had flashbacks to what her family members said, Yor said anyone who lets emotion guide their fists doesn't know what true strength is and Annie said that violence should always be a last resort.

"Are you just going to stand there like a loser? Say something back!" Becky said, and Anya stood up straight, shrugging and leading Becky away.

"Pfft! As if I care, I don't have time for such childish antics." Anya said, and continued talking to Becky. This enraged Damian, who for some reason felt that everyone heard it, and now everyone who was talking peacefully amongst themselves was making fun of him. 'I'll make her pay for embarrassing me...' He thought, getting a glance from Anya. Just then, Mr. Henderson returned, instructing the children to get back into their single-file line. They continued on walking, but Damian just would not let up, no how much Anya ignored him, he would constantly bully her. It all came to a head when she felt a soft thing bounce off the back of her head, and she turned to look at Damian, who acted as if nothing happened. His friends were the giveaway, snickering to themselves.

"You better cut that out or I'll get get the teacher!" Becky said, trying to defend her new friend. Damian walked up to them, and using his arm and shoved Becky out of the way, effectively making her stumble, this visibly made Anya angry.

"Oh yeah, you got any proof it was us?" Damian said, smirking over at Becky as he approached Anya.

"Bet you don't!" Emile said, laughing along with Ewen as Damian got in Anya's face, practically pinning her to the wall.

"Get used to it, uggo! Because I'm going to bully you right out of this school!" Damian announced, smirking at Anya as he spoke. "When I'm done, you'll never smile again!" Anya tried to keep her emotions in check, but that was quickly failing.

"Go ahead and cry, little baby! Your "feelings doctor" will make it all better!" Emile snickered as he spoke.

"Ha! That's a good one!" Damian said, snickering along with his friends. "Yep, you'll go crying home to daddy!" Damian said, that stupid smirk still on his face. It enraged Anya more than she'd like to admit... but then before she could stop it, it happened. She glanced over to make sure Mr. Henderson was busy, and with a sharp, graceful movement, she punched Damian. Sending him flying several feet and into a chair and trashcan. Then, he just started crying, basically screaming.

"Unh... WAAAAAAAAA!" The screeching noise that came from Damian's mouth annoyed Anya greatly.

"What was that ruckus?!" Mr. Henderson came running down the hallway, hearing Damian's crying.

"Teacher! She just punched Damian!" Emile said, Ewen looking utterly terrified behind him.

"..." Anya knew that the best option is honesty. "... I punched him, Mr. Henderson." She admitted, looking up at him with an sincere apologetic expression on her face.

"It wasn't like that teacher!" Becky began protesting, but Anya shook her head.

"It is true, I punched him." Anya said, and then let out a sigh. "However, I was doing it in self-defense." The boys tensed up as the realized she was going to tell him. "Damian and his friends here have been bullying me all day, and Becky too. Damian shoved her out of the way to get to me. He then cornered me against the wall, and got in my face. Telling me that he was going to "bully me straight outta this school"." She said, confessing everything that happened, but acting in self-defense is not punishable. "I'll admit that I got unreasonably angry when he pushed her." Anya said, gaining the appreciation of Becky, who falsely assumes that Anya did it for her.

"Oh Anya, thank you!" Becky said tears welling in her eyes, walking over and giving Anya a hug.

With Annie, after Mr. Henderson left them

Annie would've been lying if she said she wasn't afraid Anya was going to punch Damian, of course maybe she has to for the story to progress how it has to. Annie turned back over to William, who had been quiet, trying to muster the confidence to continue talking to her.

"Can I call you Will?" Annie asked, glancing over at William with a smile. She felt it was strange he already had feelings for her, but she knew having someone as strong as Will by her side would be good in the future. He just nodded happily, after he showed her their homeroom class, he accompanied her to Hall C Lounge, and they walk in together. Will admits that he has to wait anyways because his little brother, Bill had just gotten into Eden Academy. They enter the room, and then they go and find their parents.

"Ma, Pa! I'm here!" Annie exclaims, walking up to Loid and Yor while they were talking to some other parents. Her appearance caused some of the other parents to have puzzled looks appear on their faces, they then would walk over.

"Oh, is she your other daughter?" One of them asked, and Yor nodded happily as she gave Annie a hug.

"Yes, I'm a new student, nice to meet you." Annie bowed to show respect, and this only perplexed the people more.

"A new student?" Another asked, glancing at Annie.

"Yes, I'm starting school as a ninth year." Annie admitted, smiling at the people as she spoke. She had to admit this room was kind of overwhelming. There were many people thinking about how proud they were of their children for getting in, but also those more nearby with venomous, envious thoughts. Many complained about Annie's arrival at the school.

"Well aren't you special!" Someone said, a hint of entitlement in their voice, but Yor didn't know how to take a hint.

"Oh yes she is, she got a perfect score on her entrance exam, plus the bonus question. My daughter got a 105% on the exam!" Yor kind of bragged, complimenting Annie's intelligence.

"Parents and Guardians! The students have completed their orientation, and are waiting for you in the courtyard!" A staff member came in and announced, we will now rejoin them for a group photo!" All the parents piled out into the courtyard, Annie, Loid, and Yor all searched around for Anya.

"Hm? Where's Anya?" Loid asked, and continued looking around, somewhat worried.

"A moment, Forgers." Mr. Henderson's voice randomly rang through their ears. They turned and he was standing there, with a solumn look on his face. Almost grim. They followed as he lead them to the other room, and Anya was sitting there. Annie was pale, like paper. She already knew what happened, but was just awaiting the explanation.

"Anya... punched a boy today." Mr. Henderson explained, letting out a soft sigh. "I have used my discretion to reduce it to one. I doubt I could've gotten away with any less. I will inform the boy's parents of what transpired." They all got ready for the photo, and with a click. All their reactions were caught on film.

Later that day, once they've arrived home

"I said violence should be a last resort!" Annie exclaimed, looking down at Anya with a stern look on her face. "Oh well... We'll just have to move on. Don't do it again!" Annie said, putting her hand on her face in annoyance. Loid and Yor were silent, as they didn't know what to say.
