Grunting, Little Miss Music reached for a can on the top shelf. She was shopping and she had spotted a can of soup, but it was just out of reach. She stretched on her tiptoes, but lost her balance and stumbled backwards. Knocking into someone, she quickly pulled away and blushed when she saw her Senpai there. Lowering her gaze, she shifted her feet and muttered an apology.

He waved his hand dismissively and asked," Do you need help, Miss. Music?"

She nodded shyly and watched as he reached up for the soup can. He was taller than her and had no problem reaching it. He handed it to her. She blushed. "Thank you, Mr. Grumpy," she said quietly.

"No problem," he said, looking a little embarrassed himself. Quickly, he went on," So, whatcha doing today? After shopping, of course."

She thought about that. "I don't have anything planned," she replied, and it looked like he was about to say something when someone stepped in between them and spoke to Little Miss Music.

"Hello, Miss. Music," the red Mr. Man said.

Little Miss Music stepped back. "Hello, Mr. Noisy," she said politely. She looked past him at Mr. Grumpy and frowned when she saw the annoyed look on his face. "I was just talking to–" she tried to say, but Mr. Noisy interrupted her.

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out later and listen to music maybe," he said, grinning at her.

She hesitated, not sure how to reply. She didn't want to hurt his feelings, but she was uncomfortable with the thought of hanging with him alone. She remembered way back on Valentine's Day when she spotted Mr. Noisy watching her and Mr. Grumpy by the lake. He had looked disappointed and sometimes since that day, Mr. Noisy would ask if she wanted to hang out and every time he asked in front of Mr. Grumpy, he would look visibly jealous.

Now, the blue Mr. Man looked very upset, and before Little Miss Music could gave Mr. Noisy an answer, Mr. Grumpy pushed the other Mr. Man aside and glared at him. "We were talking, Mr. Noisy," he snapped.

The red Mr. Man looked over at Mr. Grumpy. Then he sighed and turned back to Little Miss Music. "I must confess something to you, Miss. Music." He reached forward and took hold of her hand. She was frozen and didn't take her hand back. She just stared at him. "I like you. I mean, like like you," he told her and her eyes widened but she was speechless. She didn't even know what to say if she could speak. "I know you like Mr. Grumpy. Everyone knows you like him, but I can't hold in my feelings anymore. Ever since we met I've liked you and I think we'd be great together." He sighed and pulled away from her.

She snapped out of her daze when she realized everyone in the store was staring at her. Mr. Noisy had basically shouted everything and she felt very uncomfortable under all the gazes. And worst of all, Mr. Grumpy was staring in shock at Mr. Noisy. She saw hurt and anger in his eyes and she felt a rush of pity.

Taking a steady breath, she turned to Mr. Noisy. "Mr. Noisy, thank you for telling me, but… But I don't feel the same. I'm sorry," she said when the red Mr. Man frowned. "I like you as a friend, but nothing more. My heart…" She turned to Mr. Grumpy. "My heart belongs to Mr. Grumpy."

Mr. Grumpy seemed to relax and he looked at her. Then he looked at Mr. Noisy. "She's my girl, Mr. Noisy." He reached for Little Miss Music's hand and she nearly melted at his touch, but she managed to keep it together. She frowned when she saw how upset Mr. Noisy looked.

She let go of Mr. Grumpy's hand and took a step toward Mr. Noisy. "We can still be friends," she told him. "You're a good friend and I don't want to lose you. Okay?"

He lowered his eyes and spoke so quiet that she almost didn't hear him which was very odd for him. "Yeah, okay," he murmured.

Without another word, the red Mr. Man turned and hurried away. Everyone in his path quickly turned and acted like they weren't just staring. Mr. Noisy passed them and left the store.

Little Miss Music started to go after him, feeling horrible about rejecting him. But Mr. Grumpy stopped her. "Let him go," he said. "He'll get over it."

She wasn't so sure but she decided not to follow him. She looked around, blushing when she noticed some people still watching them. She wanted to turn invisible just to stop them from staring.

She jumped when Mr. Grumpy grabbed her hand again. "Come on, let's get out of here." He glanced down at the basket he was holding and for the first time Little Miss Music noticed the TV dinners in the basket. "Do you want to come back to my house and have dinner with me?" the blue Mr. Man asked.

Little Miss Music wasn't sure. Should she check on Mr. Noisy? Or should she go with Mr. Grumpy? She was still aware of people watching them. Finally she decided to go with Mr. Grumpy. They went to go check out and the whole time she heard whispering all around her.

She felt miserable and embarrassed and happy all at the same time. She felt bad for Mr. Noisy and wished she hadn't turned him down in front of everyone. But she was through the roof because Mr. Grumpy called her his girl. The happiness was overpowering the bad feelings and she found herself enjoying her time with Mr. Grumpy. Maybe she'll talk to Mr. Noisy later when it's just the two of them but for now she was just going to bask in the love that Mr. Grumpy clearly felt for her.
