Loki ran away from his kingdom. To be fair though he wasn't king, he just hated the king who has neglected him for his elder brother.

So Loki packed his bag, left a simple note explaining his sudden departure from the kingdom of Asgard.

He soon arrived in Pennsylvania and headed straight for the University. It was terrifying being in a new country. But he put on his media face and walked to the registration desk. There was a long line but after an hour of standing in the queue, he got his dorm and schedule.

He was happily walking to the building that had his dorm was in when he felt someone run into him, he immediately fell to the ground, his belongings spilling everywhere.

A short man quickly looked back at the ex-prince. Loki blushed and looked at the ground. The mysterious man was wearing a purple dress shirt and gray slacks. He looked nervous and immediately dropped down to his knees to help Loki.

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going I just had a lab run late and I almost missed check in" he rambled, immediately cutting himself off when he saw Loki looking at him.

"Right um, it's okay and thank you" The tall prince stood up and gathered his things and started walking towards the needed building. Then he heard footsteps run up behind him.

"So um what's your name?" The shorter male asked. Loki simply raised an amused eyebrow, successfully hiding his bi-panic. He isn't good at social interaction.

"Loki"

"Do you have a last name Loki?"

"Yes. Odinson" The prince mumbled with a glare.

The man's eyes widened in surprise "like King Odin? King of Asgard?" He asked, completely surprised. Loki let a small smirk out.

"Yes, like my Bastard King of a father" was the simple response. The silence that followed soon got awkward.

"So I've told you my last name, what's yours? Or shall I just call you mystery man" Loki asked with a smirk.

"Bruce Banner, I'm in the science department, specifically Gamma Radiation" He said smiling.

"Neat, well this is my room, I'll see you around then" Loki said as he stopped at his door. Bruce looked puzzled by this statement.

"That's odd, my paper says that this is my room" Bruce stated blandly. Loki shrugged and opened the door.

"I guess we're roommates then" was the only thing he said before disappearing into the bathroom.

It was 9 pm and Loki was reading, Bruce was reading some boring text book. Loki's phone suddenly started to ring.

He quickly looked at the caller ID. It was Odin. Crap. He quickly pressed the big X button. He couldn't deal with him tonight. He just couldn't.

Bruce turned and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Loki sent a menacing glare.

"Who was that?" The shorter man asked asked, concerned for the Raven haired man. Something was off.

"It was my...father" Loki mumbled hesitantly. This just got uncomfortable.

Bruce gave a strained, sympathetic smile. Loki seemed to have a bad relationship with his father.

"Oh, do you know what he wants?"

"No, and frankly I don't want to know what that old bastard wants" he stated angrily as he turned onto his side, back facing Bruce.

It had been two months since Loki came to Penn State. It had been two months of random late night conversations and equally random deep conversations with Bruce, two months of intense class work, and two months of non stop attempted calls from Odin. This year was already shit.

But he got back from class and as usual Bruce wasn't there. He was glad, something has changed in Bruce? Loki thinks it's his mind playing tricks on him. But he just can't help smiling when thinking of his short roommate.

"What's got you so happy?" The man in question asked with a smirk "thinking of a girl?" He added teasingly. This spooked the young man out of his thoughts. He was blushing uncontrollably.

"Wha-what? No no, I was just thinking of my project yes." Was what he stammered out unconvincingly. This simply made Bruce roll his eyes.

"Ya know for a runaway prince, you suck at lying"

"Shut up Banner" was the simple, playful answer given. Then Loki got up, grabbed his keys and left.

Bruce simply chuckled as he sat down at his desk to work. Then he started thinking about his small interaction with Loki. What if he really was thinking of a girl? It'd be great for him, but Bruce knew he had feelings for Loki. But how to say it? Was Loki even gay? Probably not.

It was late. Loki was drunk when he stumbled in. He immediately locked eyes with Bruce.

"I wanna kiss you Bruce" The tall man slurred as Loki stumbled to his bed.

Bruce's eyes widened "what? Loki maybe you should go to sleep" Loki just raised his eyebrows.

"You heard me!" Loki shouted "Unless you don't love me the way I thought" he added as an afterthought. He then gave Bruce a crooked smile.

Bruce mulled this thought over, it was tempting. The scientist finally decided it couldn't hurt and turned to Loki.

"You want that kiss?" The prince simply nodded "then come here"

As soon as Loki was close enough Bruce pulled him in by his waist and smashed his lips against Loki. It felt amazing. Like fireworks going off in his brain. Loki then deepened the kiss. Bruce didn't care and allowed it.

It was eleven in the morning when Loki rolled into his side, finally awakening. He felt awful, his head hurt and he felt sick to his stomach.

But nevertheless he got out of bed and threw on what he presumed to be his sweater.

The dorm was empty which wasn't weird for this time of day, however it puzzled Loki that there was a note taped to Bruce's desk for him. Weird, he never leaves notes.

"Dear Loki, I know you're probably confused and disoriented right now. But I am going to be in a lab till one today, order yourself some food. But when I get back I want to talk about what happened last night

—Bruce Banner"

Something was going on and Loki knows it. What the hell did he do? Did Bruce hate him now? Was he going to kick Loki out? Did he just lose his only friend?

The door then opened. Loki looked behind him it was Bruce, he paled instantly. This is where where he would lose his only true friend.

Bruce was conflicted. He liked the kiss. He really did, it was just unexpected. He didn't know if Loki actually had feelings for him or if it was just the alcohol. He finally looked up and saw just how pale Loki got. God this is hard.

"So um is ev-everything okay?" The prince asked stuttering halfway through. Bruce sighed. He couldn't be mad at Loki.

"Yeah, yeah I just need to talk to you about last night" he responded looking down. He felt bad Loki looked awful.

"Ye-Yeah your um note said so, but I don't exactly remember a lot of last night, all I seem to remember is going to a bar and puking in the bathroom" Loki mumbled rubbing his head. Why did he have to go to that stupid bar.

Bruce smiled softly as he gently guided the taller man over to his bed and made him sit down. His face made this so hard to do. But he had to address this, plus it may go somewhere.

"Bruce what is going on?" He asked softly. His roommate was acting so weird. Why couldn't he just spit out whatever was on his mind? Why did he have to be so odd about it?

"Loki you kissed me last night" was all Bruce said. Loki froze. No no no no, fuck this was not happening, this had to be some horrible dream right? Loki simply looked at Bruce dumbfounded. He then put his head in his head.

"I'm so sorry Bruce, I was drunk I didn't know what I was doing, I-I understand if you don't wish to be friends anymore" he said getting up to go to his bed and wallow in shame. Then a hand grabbed his wrist.

"I'm not mad, in fact I was so happy you kissed me, but now that you're blaming it on being drunk I'm a little disappointed, I thought you did it because you had feelings for me and actually wanted me" Bruce said teary eyed.

Loki's eyes widened. Bruce wanted him to love him. God this was getting so complicated.

"Bruce goddamn it I do want you. I want you more anything" he cried. He had really fucked this up.

"Then fucking say it and don't blame it on being drunk next time" Bruce grabbed his coat. He needed to go before the big guy came out. He slammed the door behind him.
